Food is not consistent. I had the brisket sandwich, was scaps of meat.. not one slice and extremely dry. Was suppose to be 8 ozs.. would venture to say more like 3 ozs! Very disappointed.

We stopped in here after reading the reviews. Absolutely pleased!! We almost missed it from the road, and the parking wasn't very clear, but it was well worth the stop! Quick pleasant, accommodating service, and the food was awesome!! The various house made sauces were tasty as well! We will definitely stop in again!!

Went here with the family over a weekend trip from outta town. Our waitress was AMAZING!!! She told us the best hotspots in town, and was super patient when we took forever to order. The burgers were super yummy. You could tell the beef was fresh and farm raised. And the onion rings... OMG SO GREAT!!! My sister had the strawberry lemonade and macaroni- she could only say great things!!! I'm coming back for sure!

It's had to find GOOD BBQ in Oregon but this place is outstanding. We grew up in Kansas City and lived 10 years in hill country if Texas. Craig's ranks up there with the best!! What a great family atmosphere

I was raised on good 'ol Memohis BBQ I've eaten my weight in eastern NC BBQ and have pigged out, so to speak, on some of them best St Louis BBQ I could get my hands in. The folks at Craig's have some of the best pulled pork and brisket I've had in a long time. The flavor is spot on, the meat is lean, and it's not drowning in sauce. I had The Viking which is a MONSTER two-pound "burgerwich". In a word. Outstanding. The restaurant itself is comfortable and clean and the servers are friendly. What more could you ask for?

The meats were moist and flavorful. However, it took forever to get our food. Fries and onion rings were burnt (black). My son waited so long for his food only to have them make the wrong thing. So we waited again for his order, luckily he got fresh fries. I really enjoyed my pastrami burger!! Highly recommend. It seems hit and miss with their menu.

The meat was fantastic and not over sauced. The sides were the only things keeping the place from being rated a 5.

Not too sweet, not too tart. Best BBQ on the Oregon coast and I know BBQ! I even took one container of sauce to go all the way back to California.

As a native Texan, I know great BBQ, so I am always on the lookout for it in Oregon. Craigs Family BBQ was hit and miss. We arrived as a party of six at 7pm on a weeknight, and waited 30-45 minutes for our food. When it arrived, the waitress had my son's order entirely wrong, and asked him to settle for the wrong food. He declined, which meant another 20 minute wait. He's 5, so patience is not his strong point. I had the Viking "burger", which consists on 2 POUNDS of meat including a couple of burger patties, brisket, pulled pork, and bacon. It was absolutely delicious, though I didn't make it through more than a third of it. The brisket was exactly as it should be - moist, tender, and delicious. The pulled pork was very dry, which is a real shame. The burger patty and bacon were very good. For my side, I chose the onion rings. What I got was a very black and charred order of onion rings - every single onion ring was burned, not just a couple of them. I was pretty shocked that they felt it was acceptable to plate that, but I wasn't about to send them back and wait for replacements. Another person in our group had the ribs, which were tender, and moist, but lacked flavor - it was obvious no seasoning was used - such a pity, ribs without a dry rub? I was tempted to head into the kitchen and teach them how to do it right! The check came, and to top off a night of mixed opinions, the waitress got checks mixed up, and charged someone elses order to our credit card! We brought it to her attention, and she fixed it. All in all, the food was mostly good, but again I have to question how any establishment finds it acceptable to plate completely charred/inedible onion rings. Maybe it was just an off-night, but I won't risk a second trip. Still on the lookout for great BBQ in Oregon, though.

We took a short day trip to the coast last weekend and in the way through Mapleton, I had noticed another bbq restaurant but as I called to heck hours, found out they were closed that day. So quickly yelped bbq and found Craig's! Husband had the sandwich with Everything on it ($12ish?) and couldn't stop raving. I had the brisket dinner ($15) which was perfect. Leftovers eaten cold 2 days later were still tender and prefect! I also ordered the house made potato chips as my side and though most were not exactly crispy, they were so tasty! I like mine dipped in blue cheese dressing, which I did get charged extra for but that may be standard these days ( I haven't ordered a "side" of salad dressing in years). The building has 3 levels so you can sit "downstairs" or upstairs or on the bar level around the sides. If i could recommend one change it would be to add a little music to the place. It was VERY quiet, despite being probably 40-50% capacity.

Great service and environment. We sat down stairs and all our meals we great. If your hungry and need a good BBQ restaurant, this is the place!

What an awful experience. The sign above the bar says if you want a substitution, it will be an additional $5 charge and depends on Craigs mood!! (Punctuation added by them, not me). Our waitress carried the same cranky attitude. We had to ask for water and silverware, both things should just be automatic. My son ordered a burger with homemade mac n cheese, my daughter the mashed potatoes and gravy, and my husband and I shared their sampler platter of barbecue (for $22 a plate). It was just awful. All of the food was tasteless, but the ribs were so tough they were hard to chew. We sent back the sampler plate and requested they take it off the bill. I was shocked to see they had seperated out the sides which were included, and charged us separately for them. My children ate their food because they were starving. We really should have left it all and went to a fast food restaurant. I bet it would have been better! This was such a disappointing experience. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Lesson learned that when on the coast, opt for fresh seafood, not bbq.

We are staying in Yachats looked for some dinner just went driving south. Drove past it kinda hard to see the sign. Then noticed the smoker looked legit. And it was. I love the way it is set up inside and the waitress was amazing. Now to the bbq it was so gooooood! Fall of the bone ribs and the brisket was very moist not dry at all the sauce was the best they give you little squirt bottles so you can put as much or little as you like. Highly recomend this place. One of those hard to find jewels! Great Job team at Craig's!

Not impressed. My "loaded" Mac & cheese was bland & the pulled pork was completely flavorless. My husband ordered a BLT with a side salad. He said the bacon was good, but the rest of the sandwich was mediocre at best. The side salad was a bowl of iceberg lettuce with shredded cheddar on top. Will not be returning or recommending to anyone. The prices are also high considering the portions.

The food was so good! I had the brisket sandwich, which was probably the best brisket I have had. The service was great and fast. Also the sweet and spicy sauce is perfect.

We had 2 pulled pork sandwiches & 2 burgers at our table. The sandwiches & burgers come in 1/4 lb or 1/2 lb sizes. The 1/4 was plenty for lunch! The coleslaw is basically bagged shredded cabbage from the grocery store with bottled cole slaw dressing- not terrible, but I would skip it next time. The onion rings were tasty, but fairly average. The fries were a bit over cooked, but ok. The real star was the pulled pork- very tasty. We loved the sweet & spicy BBQ sauce. Both kids ate their burgers without complaint. Overall, I would go again and get the pulled pork, but try different sides.

Very good food. The brisket is flavorful and tender, my favorite. The sweet potato fries are also very good. Many food choices, including salads. It is a good family spot. Not fancy, but it is a barbecue place and you go there for the food. They have take out available.

Pros- great food, large portions, affordable Cons- inside is dark, not a place for vegetarians! Craig's opened up inside the old Seagull Tavern and it is open to all ages. The tavern has no windows so it is very dark and the interior is dated, but the establishment is clean. The wait staff was friendly and attentive and checked on us several times during our meal. My husband and I ordered the, "Viking Burger" which is more like a meat plate on a bun. We shared the regular size burger but still had left overs for $14.95. The burger is stacked with a hamburger patty, pulled pork, bacon, and smoked brisket. They smother it with your choice of BBQ sauce. We had the medium spicy which wasn't all that spicy, next time we'll try the hot and spicy sauce. The "burger" was amazing. My husband loved the smokey flavor of the brisket and my favorite was the pulled pork. We will definitely go back when we are visiting Florence.

I wish I could give Craig's a 5 star review, we so desperately want a good bbq restaurant in Florence. It is Carolina bbq style, meaning smoked meat and sauce on the side. He does offer a selection of tasty sauces, so that is better than some northwest Carolina bbq joints. You will need it, because the meat is very dry. I also have no idea why anyone would order a plate of shredded chicken, you cannot get pieces of chicken here. I will say his bbq beans are excellent, the cole slaw is good, and the fried okra is acceptable. The prices are good too, which isn't true of most restaurants in Florence. Still, I prefer bbq that is carmelized on the meat and will likely never be a big fan of this restaurant, even if he learns to smoke meat better.
