First time going there was tonight. The place was clean, the staff was friendly. I ordered what I think was a LuLu. Supposed to be a club. I didn't know they only served cold sandwiched otherwise I would not have ordered what is usually a hot sandwich. They said they couldn't be fast and have hot sandwiches also. They say good food takes time to prepare at Jimmy Johns yours will be ready in a second. Maybe the cold food is why ooverpricrd 5 Guys next door was packed and I was the only customer in Jimmy Johns

Mixed feelings. I was feeling quite 5-Star about this place for a while until two things happened and that changed. First, I got a sandwhich with avocado and it just tasted wrong and had a weird texture. It really seemed like the out-of-the-tube stuff some Mexican restaurants try to pass off as guacamole. Second, the chips have MSG. So, I will go back but will pass on the MSG chips and avocado mystery.

I use to order from Jimmy Johns all the time. I moved and now they say I'm out of their range. The order taker couldn't tell me what their range is, just what areas of town. I don't 3 miles is too far especially if they deliver all the way down Coburg.

The last 2 out of 3 times I ordered a Vito Club, they hardly put anything on my sandwich. No cappacola. Hardly any lettuce. This is very disappointing. 4 thin slices of meat 3 slices of cheese for $7.80? The Tuna Club is plenty of low grade Tuna. After taste of tin. The only redeeming factor is that they are fast. I am done with this store.

I know I'm only supposed to like artisan sandwiches, but damn, JJ's sandwiches are consistently good, fresh and cheap and prepared by a friendly staff. If you are going to spend 5 bucks on a chain sandwich, there is no better place to go than Jimmy John's.

The employees at this location are not the nicest... bad attitudes. Sandwiches are simple and good. Customer service not so much.

During one of my brief trips to Eugene, we ordered Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwiches (JJ) for a lunch meeting because they delivered and we needed something quick, easy and convenient. The sandwich company was pretty prompt when it came to delivery (12:30 p.m.) and they had all of our orders correct. I was unfamiliar with the company, so when I first looked at the menu while I was trying to decide what to get, it was slightly confusing. However, I ended up with a sandwich that I actually really did like. You can choose regular sandwiches (this is sort of like a Subway, but with more pre-set options), or go with "slim" options that don't have as many ingredients in the fillings. Here's some of the things our group ordered during the meeting, as well as other sandwiches I would try if I ever ordered from JJ again: "Slim 5": Because I was still pretty full from breakfast when we were ordering lunch, I decided to go with one of the "slim" sandwiches because I was under the impression that they were not as large. This one included salami, capicola and cheese. There's no lettuce, tomatoes or other veggies in these "slim" sandwiches, which was perfect for me because I tend to weed out those ingredients anyway. My sandwich was pretty basic, but I really liked the taste of the Italian meats and the cheese. It was a great option since I wasn't too hungry, but I ended up finishing my entire sandwich. "Ultimate Porker": One of the guys in our group got this sandwich, though he was cringing a bit at the sandwich's name. This sando included Applewood smoked ham and bacon with lettuce, tomato and mayo. This sandwich sounded yummy, as I do like smoked ham and bacon, but I would just nix the tomato and mayo if I chose this one. "Italian Night Club": This is the other sandwich that I contemplated getting, but I decided not to, since I wasn't exceptionally hungry. Because I do like the meats involved, though, I would want to try it one day. This sandwich features Genoa salami, capicola, ham, provolone, lettuce, tomato, onions, mayo and vinaigrette. I would just order this sandwich without the tomato, onions and mayo, but everything else--especially that salami/provolone/capicola combo--sounds amazing. "Billy Club": I do like club sandwiches, and the JJ version sounds like it won't disappoint because it includes a lot of great components. It features choice roast beef, smoked ham, provolone cheese, Dijon mustard, lettuce, tomato and mayo. I love Dijon mustard--not regular mustard; it has to be Dijon--so this sandwich already sounds like a winner to me. I would just order it sans the tomato and mayo, but I can't wait to try the smoked ham, choice roast beef and provolone. "Salt & Vinegar Jimmy Chips": Some of our group members ordered these chips with their sandwiches, and though I was too full to try them, they said that they preferred these chips--the "Salt & Vinegar" flavor--over the others. I do like the salt & vinegar combo because it has a slight bite to it (you just have to put up with that vinegar smell), and though I don't normally go for chips unless I have a craving for them, I would be down to try these Jimmy chips one day. "Chocolate Chunk Cookie": If I wasn't so full from my breakfast, I would not have hesitated to order one of these chocolate chunk cookies as a snack. While I don't frequent Subway, I do remember that I really like their cookies--chocolate chip, double chocolate, peanut butter, you name it--so I'm curious to try the JJ cookies to see what they taste like. Here's to hoping that they're soft, chewy and chockfull of those scrumptious chocolate chips!

The best of the franchise fast food places and definitely the fastest. Makes me feel sorry for the Subway that shares the lot. Nice staff and the place is very clean.

Jimmy John's promises a lot much to its detriment. I showed up a little early but the employees were friendly, opened the doors, and took my order. I asked if they had party platters, which they do. The gentleman behind the counter was super friendly and explained the platter options, the one I wanted was essentially 10 subs cut into thirds. The super-friendly guy made the mistake of mentioning that the platter of 10 subs was "just a little more than if you bought 10 subs." Huh? I pay MORE when I buy in bulk? He explained: "Well, it's because we have to cut them in thirds." ... ... So, let's get this straight, you usually cut them in half? Uh, huh. Which requires one cut? Uh, huh. Now you cut them in thirds which requires TWO cuts? Uh, huh. And for this added service I pay more? ... Look, I don't expect a deep discount for buying 10 subs, but a dime or a quarter per sub? Yes, absolutely. To pay more is insanity. I gave them an hour to get the platter ready and they had it by then. Nicely done in a quick time. Once I got to my destination I saw just how sparse the subs were. I thought Subway made gimpy subs but Jimmy Johns' subs are tiny little things. Even cut into thirds it was tough to see the meat. The lettuce, I swear to the good Lord almighty, is the same bagged crap on Taco Bell tacos. As I ate all I could think of is "My Goodness! Taco Bell! 69 cent tacos!" And all of that might be fine if Jimmy Johns didn't seem so darn cool. The interior is top notch with funny, witty signs on the wall. It's like Subway's younger, cooler brother in a punk band started a sub shop. But, man, you gotta deliver tasty food when you look this good and it just isn't here. (On another note, they do deliver and their delivery guy seemed real busy) Great service by some good people here. Clean and bright restaurant. But this is a joint that over-promises and under delivers. Two stars for service and cleanliness.

Unlike some others, I like the sandwiches here. What I DON'T like is that they don't honor the prices on their menu. I got a gargantuan (menu priced at $8.25) and they charged me $8.50. They pointed to a sign on the wall with the right price and said that they menus were outdated. So why are they still using them? My understanding is that if you quote a customer a price, you have to honor it.

This place was crap. The only reason it's getting two stars is because the staff was all very nice... Everything about this place is bland. The only sauces the have for their sandwich is mayo and mustard... their veggies selection is pretty bland also. Not a fan.

Are you kidding me? They make awesome subs for a GREAT price, and they deliver lightning fast! Seriously, I don't see how anyone could knock their food. Saying the price is good, but the portion small leaves the obvious answer at.... order more food next time? Their bread is freshly made, you get good meats and cheese, and a good selection of veggies. For around $5, that is a steal - and they will deliver even if you only order ONE sandwich! I really can't believe someone wished for Subway's crap food over JJs!!!

I'm a sandwich snob. And I'm picky. I admit it. I find the sandwiches here very boring and you can't easily customize them. I like options and they always seem put out when I want to change half of what they offer (which isn't a lot). I say go to sub shop. Or togos. Or do yourself a favor and go to Bunk in Portland.

This review isn't for the resturart place or the people that work there it's for the sandwhich. It was a delievry. The sandwhich was HORRIBLE! There was hardly any meat, lettuce or anything else on it. I didn't pay for the sandwhich so I couldn't complain about the price but I will never eat there again.

  • Emily O.

The bread is what make Jimmy Johns so great. If it wasn't for the bread, it'd be just like any other quick service sandwich. But I prefer JJ to Subway and TOGOS because of the bread! My go to sandwich is #12: The Beach Club, complete with freshly baked turkey, provolone cheese, sliced cucumber, tomato, and avocado! I'm a big fan of avocado on sandwiches so this one is definitely a winner in my book. It's the not going to be the most delicious gourmet sandwich you ever had, but its going to be good!

I work in a very busy office where I am frequently the only person working. There are days where it's nearly impossible to escape to take a lunch break, and on those days I often order JJ's because they are fast, inexpensive and over all delicious. One thing I've noticed, however is that the delivery people are a little unobservant? Multiple times when I've answered the door to them I've been on the phone with an important client, and rather than noticing that and being discreet the deliverers almost always loudly ask "How are you? Thank you have a nice day!" which carries through the phone to the person I'm speaking with and looks unprofessional. I always tip well, regardless of their lack of "inside voices" because, hey, they brought me food. But it would be nice if you guys could work on etiquette for situations like that. Aside from that, though. Keep up the good work! - A (mostly) happy customer

Goddamn, JJ's the bomb. Someone keeps ordering these sandwiches for our meetings at work. They come in a GD flash. And goddammit, they're good. It's what we Americans want: soft, doughy bread wrapped around ample fillings. There are bites where it's just bread, and it is good. Lots of meat and fillings and provolone cheese. I don't know if they have other cheeses, but dammit, I don't care. It's tasty. I keep ordering ham sandwiches at work because, goddammit, pigs are yummy. Today I got something called Italian Night Club, and dammit if it wasn't tasty. I added peppers and enjoyed the Italian vinaigerette, which has a good kick of oregono. Goddammit, these sandwiches are good.

Definitely no a bad low cost spot to order from. They literally deliver in like 30 sec to 2 mins and it'll cost you about 6 - 10 bucks including a tip. Which works out great since I cant leave work for lunch.

Jimmy John's promises a lot much to its detriment. I showed up a little early but the employees were friendly, opened the doors, and took my order.
