Probably the best old style coffeeshop in Oregon known only to regulars. Prices are extremely reasonable and food is always excellent. Today we tried the corn chowder and clubhouse sandwiches, wow. But get there early.

Love this place. George and Donna treat the customers like family.... the restaurant is a blast from the past. Teach your kids what a REAL old fashioned milkshake tastes like! The fish and chips are the best in town, but my favorite is the Thursday hot turkey special. Like Thanksgiving.... every week! Potato salad is good too, fresh without preservatives, homemade. I find the prices comparable to other places in the area, and the servings are huge. Always enjoy my visits there.

This is a wonderful diner! If you love days gone by with the good old fashioned 50s foods, this is the place to go. Small, filled with fun regulars and affordable. Try the specials--for sure. I love George and Donna! What a fun place to enjoy.

I only ever had a pancake at this place. A few days ago. Oddly, the prices were a little more expensive than I and my friend were willing to pay but we wanted to try something. So we each got one pancake, which run $1.95. The meals seemed to run more along the lines of 7.95 and up, which was more money than we wanted to part with for what we thought we were going to get. The pancake? Huge. For under $2, I felt I got a great deal. But, look: You should go to this place not because of the food, though at least the pancakes are damned good. Go because this place is almost completely hidden away, despite being more-or-less downtown. Go because this place is, as a few other reviews have pointed out, a time machine, an anachronism. Most places like this shut down fifteen years ago. Go get a pancake. Maybe when it's rainy or snowy or whatever, outside. Go when you can be sealed in the place for a little while. Steep in it. And there's old folks.

I have to give this restaurant 5 stars. For one, these types of Diners, and that's what I would call it are all going away. I feel like I'm traveling back in time. Someone complained about the prices but I find them in line with other places and they give you plenty food. They have daily specials, I've tried a few and have not been dissapointed. Every Thursday is an open faced turkey sandwich with gravey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry, and a vegetable. It's always perfect. Great breakfasts although Donna doesn't show up until after breakfast, George takes care of it and they are both no nice. Breakfast and lunch, close at 4.

A smallish coffee shop/diner run by "Mom and Pop". A little pricier than I expected but I had the best Fish n' Chips I have had any where (and that includes England!). Favorite Dish: Fish n' Chips. Amazingly moist and delicious.

Great prices and great people. The hamburger is actually the best several of us regulars claim to have had anywhere in town. The owner George cooks and Donna waits tables. A great team. Pancake (singular) is huge and great. Bacon is decent. Daily specials are home style cooking from finger steaks to liver and onions to turkey and gravy.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
