We had a fantastic party and really enjoyed everything Mark served...the shredded pork, chicken, mac & cheese bar, veggie kabobs, cole slaw, fruit and salads were all fresh and delicious. And Aaron did a great job setting up, serving, attending to people's needs, boxing up the leftovers, and then breaking down and cleaning up. I cannot begin to thank Mark and his team enough for giving us a well executed and worry free event. Their efficiency, hard work, and professionalism allowed my family to spend all our time celebrating our son's graduation...and it was all delicious Thank you and Bravo!

We rented a home through VRBO for our son's graduation and hired Mark to cater the event. We weren't familiar with the kitchen or supplies, No problem for Mark - he brought everything he needed to be successful. He and his team were on-time, professional, engaging, and very flexible both in planning and the day of the event. Would definitely use him again!

UO Campus Soup Cart review only- This cart is a quick and consistent dining option and a UO campus food staple. Offering at least 4 soups daily, with several rotating vegetarian, vegan, seafood and meat options alike. I have my favorites (broccoli cheddar, blue velvet, chicken w/ wild rice, Thai coconut veggie, and vegan split pea) and have learned which to avoid, thanks to requested samples. Salads and sandwiches are offered here, too, along with a small selection of soft drinks and some cookies. The sandwiches, I am sorry to say, have proved decent on a good day, but more recently, borderline inedible on bad days. My biggest critique would be freshness of ingredients and unbalanced proportions. Who wants to eat 8 (I counted, after removing 4) thick slices of provalone on old baguette, with browning field greens? During nice weather, there are a couple of plastic tables and chairs set up for patrons to sit at, but most people take the food and eat elsewhere. A lunch of a small soup, sandwich and beverage will cost around $10, making the price a little on the high side, in my opinion. The service at the cart is always exceptionally friendly and efficient. These employees really shine, a nice change from the service I observe at most campus retailers/eats.

I would recommend Mark and his crew to anyone that is looking for a caterer. They went above and beyond all our requests we had. Every time I met with him to go over details on the wedding he made sure that I was stress free, which was a nice change to some of the other people I had to deal with for the wedding. He not only made sure that the food was amazing, but made sure that my centerpieces were laid out correctly and that each table was set exactly how I wanted them to look. His goal is to make sure you are stress free on your wedding day and he did just that! We had a lot of people tell us how amazing the staff was from the servers to the bartenders. We didn't have everyone show up to the wedding that we were excepting, so I thought there would be leftovers for the next day...but there wasent any. Guess that is a good sign everyone loved the food!

Carte Blanche catered our wedding on one of the hottest days of summer. Despite the staff roasting in the sun with long-sleeved shirts, they kept a friendly demeanor and were on top of everything. We got many compliments from guests on the food which was beautiful to look at and very tasty. Mark was very professional, albeit a little smug, but he has reason to be proud of his food. We were very unorganized with our wedding planning, so it was nice to work with a business that is a well-oiled machine like Carte Blanche. While we floundered with our DIY wedding planning, we didn't have to worry about the food. I definitely recommend Carte Blanche.

I give two thumbs up to Carte Blanche catering. We hosted my daughter's wedding at our home and yard in Eugene, Oregon. Mark and his staff are pros. He was responsive from the beginning, giving good advice but also aiming to please. He said "we will make this look good" and he delivered. The food was very good, but truly the best part was the staff and set up. You can count on his staff to do what needs to be done - just relax and let them work. They also put up with our last-minute jitters very well - they have been there before. I recommend them.

We've used Carte Blanche to cater some of our office events in the past and we've always been impressed with the food, service, and prices. So for our holiday party this year we decided to have a southwest buffet and appetizers. We were not disappointed. The food arrived right on time, the set up looked great, and the quality was amazing. The biggest hits were the bacon wrapped shrimp and the kahlua mousse. Mark was very easy to work with, even with our ever changing date he was most accommodating and made great recommondations if we weren't sure about something. I highly recommend Carte Blanche and won't hesitate to use them again. Thank you Mark!!

I researched a lot of caterers for my Wedding that was in mid October outside Eugene OR. The reviews I read here on yelp led me to contact Mark. I am so glad that I did! From the beginning all the way thru the wedding Mark was helpful, patient, and very professional. During the planning we changed our minds a lot and Mark was always on top of what we wanted. Also, his experience as a caterer really shined thru in bringing things up and making recommendations about stuff I never would have thought of until it was too late. He made sure ALL the details were covered. The catering of the wedding was nothing short of perfect. Mark and his crew were superb. The food was incredible, as was the service. And they really took charge in a fairly unorganized wedding like mine. My only regret was not getting seconds at dinner! I made sure to ask around my friends and family during and after dinner to see what they thought of the food and service. I got nothing but praise and great feedback. That was the most important thing of all to me, to make sure my guests enjoyed their food and their time. Mark and Carte Blanche made it happen for our wedding. I highly recommend working with them.

Absolutely delicious! If this cart is not open, then try their permanent location at Soup Nation! Mushroom marscapone, blue velvet, broccoli cheese, and the standard three cheese tomato are my favorite soups. I also love the Three P sandwich.

We used Carte Blanche catering for our wedding in Albany OR. From the very beginning, Mark was accommodating and helpful in every way. Mark and his crew were incredible and the day was perfect! The quality of the food was very important to us and the food was amazing! We got countless comments from people about how delicious it was; especially the salmon! Many people said how perfectly it was cooked and how wonderful the catering crew was. I would recommend Carte Blanche Caterers for any event. Thank you Mark!

One of the most important elements of a wedding is the hospitality offered to the guests. I thus made it a priority to find an excellent caterer who would provide a delicious and beautiful meal to our guests, at a reasonable price. I found Mark Stern and Carte Blanche Caterers at the Oregon Wedding Showcase in Eugene in January 2011. I read the reviews for his services on Yelp and Google - they were glowing. From the moment I first contacted Mark, I found him responsive, thoughtful, funny, and a joy to work with. He offered his advice and was wiling to answer all of my questions and review our menu choices. We were having our wedding at my in-laws' house, and he met us there to go over the proposed menu and to discuss what he and his crew would need on the day of the wedding. Right on time, he contacted me two weeks before the wedding to get the final headcount and go over the details of the wedding. With the exception of the alcohol (which we served), I felt like my wish was his command. His motto was that he wanted my husband and me to be guests at our wedding and to enjoy ourselves. The wedding was planned for a July day - which turned into an incredibly rainy one. Mark and his crew were adaptable, friendly, quick, professional, and efficient. They set the tables with glassware and lit the candles, filled water pitchers, and set the cake table beautifully. The buffet was set up just in time for the scheduled start of dinner, and the staff was wonderful. They cleared plates and moved around the rather tight space with relative ease. Mark was kind enough to cut the cake for us. When dinner was done, his crew cleaned up, boxed up the leftovers, and quietly disappeared in the night. They were not an obtrusive presence at the wedding, but were definitely welcome. I noticed very few plates with any food left--I know I cleaned mine! We had salmon and prime rib as our main entree choices, and there was plenty for everyone. The prime rib was tender and well-seasoned, and made an excellent day-after roast beef sandwich. All of my guests said the food was delicious and the service impeccable. There were many things about our wedding that were stressful and did not go according to plan. I am so relieved and happy that the food was one thing that went exactly right. I heartily recommend Carte Blanche to anyone looking for gracious and excellent catering.

This catering company took very good care of myself and my guests. They were flexible and able to handle my many last minute requests. Everyone was very pleased with the appetizers and the meal. Thanks again Carte Blanche!!

That was some tasty soup - southwest corn chowder. I have a lot of respect for a well-made soup, and these guys know what they're doing. They also sell the usual salads and sandwiches. They've moved down to Kesey Plaza for the summer to join five other carts. As a big fan of the food cart experience, I could get a little overstimulated down there.

Whenever my wedding comes up people inevitably start talking about the catering, and they never have enough good things to say. Carte Blanche was a top notch caterer from my first contact until they loaded up and left our venue (boxed up left overs placed nicely on the tables). Mark at Carte Blanche worked with me for close to a year as we altered and changed our menu close to five times. He gladly quoted each change we thought of as we tried to fit our dreams into our budget and was willing to provide as little (food and service only) to as much (all rentals, cake cutting, etc) as we wanted. The service before the day was spectacular, yet it was only a prelude to what would come. On my wedding day, as I ran around putting out random last minute items with rollers in my hair, Mark arrived on site with a wonderful staff and they quickly went to work. When the rental company forgot half of our napkins and enough couldn't be rented near the venue, Mark came to the rescue with nice quality paper napkins and his staff re-set the tables perfectly to make everything fit. Any last minute thing that needed set up or organized they happily did. Beyond this amazing service, the food they brought was suburb! Since we changed our menu so much, we had never tasted what they actually brought, but it was wonderful. Their servers did an excellent job keeping trays full, serving people quickly and making sure everything stayed looking perfect. They then turned around and cleared plates and cleaned up just as quickly and as wonderfully as they had set everything up. They prepared our cake table, gladly served the cake (which was brought from someone else) and then cleaned that area too. I highly recommend Carte Blanche catering to anyone looking for a great and easy catering experience. Mark and his staff will take care of you and your event with extreme professionalism, make your event amazing and to top it off, their prices are really reasonable. Simply a wonderful catering business.

Mmmm... when I think back to my days in college, I think of Carte Blanche and friendly Mr. Mark who was always so kind when we wanted to sample all 4 of his daily soups. His menu changes daily, and each and every one of them is so fitting for the fall/winter Oregonian weather. M..... I want one now. And when it starts to get warm, you gotta order his gazpacho. Complement your bowl of soup with his delicious sundried tomato pasta salad. YUM
