There are few choices out here in the woods, but Mexican food is one of my favs. I ordered the arroz con pollo. She had a vege tostada. We shared a sampler appetizer. The sampler was good! Unfortunately it arrived with the entrees. Tostada taco nachos.... Great. Would get that and beer next time. Arroz con pollo, white chicken sticks, no rice crust but a passable casserole with fresh mushrooms... No peas or those baby peppers.... Passable? Not a family treasure. But they said their mole dish was sweet, otherwise I would have tried it. Vege tostada was refried and rice... Fresh lettuce anyway. It was pinto paradise for Carol. I m a black bean guy. It felt like it was closing at 8 although hrs said 9. The food truck in Sutherlin is still worth the drive.

La Piñata serves the very best authentic Mexican food. As well as American cuisine. Great place for lunch or dinner when traveling the "coastal route*. Sandy, your hostess is a one of a kind, die hard Atlanta Braves fan and has a fabulous collection of memorabilia. We time our departures between Brookings & Portland to eat, stretch, browse. I try something different every time. Two large screen TV's always on the MLB NETWORK or NFL network. Seasonally. Great food in a relaxed family atmosphere. See you there.

Great local place. Fresh food, fast friendly service. Good sized portions and prices. We'll come back next time we are passing through. We split a combo and are stuffed. The chicken enchiladas were excellent. We got a chocolate peanut butter pie to go, but "had" to try a"bite" for the review... That pie almost didn't make it out of there. It has some kinda light whipped cream cheese voodoo that revives an appetite and makes you stuff more money in the tip. Then we smelled the fajitas coming out to the table next to us and had to flee temptAtion.

Good basic American style Mexican food, large menu. Also many American food offerings. Long list of deserts that are made there. Friendly waiting staff - they remember what you like to drink and eat. Pleasant setting with lots of parking. Easy - right on the road as you are driving to Reedsport and the Ocean or heading back to Interstate 5.

Surprisingly good food for a little place in the middle of nowhere. Definitely worth a stop. Awesome food, excellent salsa and very homey.

Good food here! They are friendly and nice and I have been many times as I live nearby. It is a small town joint that consistently makes a yummy Mexican dinner. The waitress even once had a batch of queso dip made on the spot for us even though it's not something they normally carry. I look forward to eating here when I go and I recommend you try it out if you are in the area.

This is a family tradition whenever we visit family in the area. Sandy is very friendly and accommodating, quick and ready with a smile. The portion sizes are almost too big, definitely a great value for the price. The club sandwich was tasty, the creamy potato salad has bacon in it which is unusual but very appetizing, and the Mexican dishes are overflowing and always delicious. Bring an appetite and some friends!

The servers were extremely rude to us and the food was terrible. My food came so much sooner than my friend's food that she asked if hers would be out soon. The waitress said, Can't you see we're fucking busy?" Wow. A while later, she asked someone else, and he said, in a tone so rude that he shocked us, "They're busy in the back." Finally her good was slid onto the table, not set down. It was nearly inedible and had either been sitting under a heat lamp for a while, or was reheated food. As for my food, I posted a picture of the sandwich filling to Facebook, and friends are still trying to guess what it is. Our drinks were never refilled either. When we went to leave, we asked for our checks, and the guy told up they're up front in the tone you'd expect to hear if you asked the same question repeatedly. The kicker? The bathroom was so filthy that I took pics. Both toilets (no doors on the stalls, so I hope you enjoy no privacy) needed to be cleaned, and there was literally shit and pee on the floor next to one of the toilets. Again, I took pictures of this. We didn't leave tips. This place should have comped our food for the experience. If anywhere else had been open, or the next town wasn't so far away, we would have left when my unidentifiable good was brought out. We only ate because we needed food in our systems. Seriously gross place that only people in town who don't want to risk the wrath of the tiny-town owners would rate well.

Only people in the place on a Sunday afternoon. Dirty menu and dingy restaurant. Got tired of waiting to have a drink order taken. Went next door to Camino Real and had a great authentic mexican lunch.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
