I can't say enough about the customer service from Marlene and her chef Trace. We were a group of friends from college who meet every year for an annual get together. Marlene actually opened up the restaurant for us for lunch for a private party and there were only six of us. This place is adorable. The outside patio area felt like your were in some quaint city in Europe. Our one friend from Brooklynn said it reminded her of home. The food (we had lasagne) was incredible and the dessert to die for (fudge brownie with ice cream and whip cream) We were able to leave our "take home leftovers" at the restaurant while we shopped the antique stores and farmer's market. This is really a fun place. We all want to go back and see what else is on the menu. Marlene knows how to make her guests feel truely special. I think the "amateurish" art lends to the quaint atmosphere so to each his own I guess.

Wonderful dinner and wine. I had Grilled pork chop with asparagus and peach chutney. My Sweetie had a Mushroom pasta with chicken. Nice local wine and lobster bisque and a Ceasar salad - tossed before it left the kitchen. Good service. Nice atmosphere and very reasonable price for the quality of food. Looking forward to their Valentine's dinner special. Will go back again and again.

We showed up late and the kitchen was already closing down. The bartender/hostess graciously offered to accommodate us with their small plate menu. From the flatbread to the meatballs it was all very good. Thanks so much for a special night, we hope to update with a fifth star once we try the dinner menu.

This place is a joke. My wife and I arrived early for a company dinner and decided to have a drink and an appetizer. At first it was a great experience, the appetizer was delicious. As soon as everyone else arrived, service crashed. Not a single order was correct out of the 10 of us. The food was hardly palatable and everyone's bill was a disaster. Upon leaving, the owner had the nerve to lecture us on proper tipping etiquette. Never going back. Period.

We stopped in on a Friday night to find live music. We had great wine, artichoke dip was delicious! Pasta dishes were yummy. We will be back! Would recommend anyone to go here!

We have become frequent customers of this restaurant. We love the friendly atmosphere and delicious food:) While everything they serve is excellent, we have learned to go for the beef dishes. The beef is locally sourced, so it is always just amazing. This week we had the whiskey soaked NY steak--melt in your mouth, flavorful and wonderful. Probably the best steak I have ever eaten. Also, serving sizes are huge. Nice atmosphere, great food, friendly staff. What else could one ask for?

This place is an amazing find in downtown Dallas! We were visiting from out-of-town and were not sure what we would find in this VERY quiet little town. Well, let me say that EVERYTHING was amazing! We had the best gumbo ever and a shrimp salad that was wonderful. We will be back the next time we visit. The service was excellent too.

We've been here multiple times and have always had a great experience. The food is delicious and the service extremely friendly. Yes they are a small restaurant and can get overwhelmed if it gets overly busy, but the food and service more than makes up for it. They are by far the best dining option in Dallas. Be sure to ask about all their unique cocktails. They are fantastic.

Elegant dining at reasonable prices. The food was so wonderful. I had the crab filled mushrooms. It melted in my mouth. I was surprised by how good the food was and the cost was reasonable. We will be going back

We find this place a little nicer then most in Dallas. Menu limited but each offering is worth the price. Just added extended small plate menu, just right price and quality. Service is always attentive. We now include it in our thoughts when choosing a place to dine. Support them so they expand the hours to include Sunday will ya!

my wife and I had dinner here one night, this place is decorated like a Carmel California restaurant. my wife had the mushroom pasta and she enjoyed it. I was in the mood for some beef so I ordered a steak. the rib eye. it was just ok. service was very slow. really don't understand how this place could qualify or say it's Italian food, its eclectic. considering the fact this is in the hick town of Dallas Oregon and it's still alive is amazing. the owner doesn't have a clue what she's doing at the restaurant, and staff only have a half a clue. Oh big deal the owner knows how to play the piano and only fair at it.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
