The New Mexican place next door had just opened but was packed so I thought we would give this place a try. That was a mistake. The place was busy, small and noisy. The service was horrible. It's like only 2 people work there and there not on the same page. We ordered and waited forever. Other patrons got chips and salsa we got nothing till I asked, then the guy said since we got a 7 layer bean dip he didn't give us any, okay fine but not when it takes an hour for the bean dip! Plus the kid took an attitude when I asked about it. My wife ordered no onions in the dip and it was full of them! shes allergic to onions! Needless to say this caused a lot of stomach pain and a day off work! We will never return here, there are many better choices in Dallas. Quality of food poor and service is worse. They won't be here long. Response: With our bean dip I also ordered a taco combo meal, so what excuse is there now for the poor service? You couldn't pay me to try this place again.

When I walked in, the atmosphere was pleasant. Although I did find it a bit strange and unwelcoming that one particular gentleman was sitting at the counter, and at times, it felt like he was staring at us while we ate our food. The chips and salsa came out promptly. They were freshly made (and quite hot, which is wonderful.) Unfortunately, that was the best part of MY meal. My husband's Asada burrito was delicious and we have NO complaints about that whatsoever. I could eat one of those every day! My chile verde pork was interesting, to say the least. I am used to the traditional "chunks" of pork in verde sauce, as their menu advertised. Unfortunately, my pork came shredded, with sauce that was far too thick and bitter. It was edible, but not something I would order again. Note - I did come back on numerous occasions and here is what I have found.... The street tacos are FANTASTIC. There's nothing to be improved upon with those. I could eat those every day as well! Service - although sometimes a bit slow, it is VERY good. The staff are personable and very concerned with your overall dining experience.

I had dinner here and was very impressed by the service. The man that took our order was polite and prompt. We were impressed by the options available on the menu and the willingness of the staff to accommodate our needs. I ordered the street tacos and thought they were great. This may quickly become my new favorite place to get tacos in town.

So far, this is the only place in Polk county which sells lengua and that's really all i need to say. Lemgua is a difficult meat to work with. Tough to store; tough to prepare well. Any business who can rise to the challenge deserves praise, in my opinion. The prices are a lil high for some smaller serving sizes, but the food is always great none the less. Just order lengua tacos and ask for lime on the side. It's all they need. Sit, eat, enjoy... the snack that tastes you back.

Authentic Mexican food, great hospitality and a great at atmosphere. Tip if you are a Dallas high school student and you show up on Friday and show them your ASB Card or you are wearing a Dragon Pride t shirt you get tacos for $1.00. Food is made fresh to order and their house made chips are awesome.

Excellent real Mexican food. And, yes, the chips were made fresh. Its fast, good priced and delicious. The menu seems to be constantly expanding, so I hope they are doing well! With so many stores and good restaurants closing their doors in D-town, I hope this one lasts!

First things first--it's a little tough to notice at first. It is in a lot with lots of other types of businesses, and from the outside it almost looks more like an accountant's office or something rather than a restaurant. But it is out right by the street. We walked in seated ourselves, and were promptly greeted with menus. We talked to 4 different staff people, and they were all very kind, welcoming, accommodating. My diet pepsi never ran dry! The chips are made to order, and sooo good. (But watch out, they are hot!) I ordered the Sope Delight and loved it. Though it's been a while, I've been to Mexico a couple of times and the flavors in the food reminded me of the food I ate while there. All the ingredients seemed fresh, the taste was excellent, and the portions were generous. I had to get a to-go box, and cold sope actually makes a tasty breakfast :)

Our first time here and we will definitely come back! Great service, clean, and the food was very good and super fresh. They even make the tortilla chips fresh per order. Enjoy!

Excellent, made - to - order Mexican food. The chef burrito is huge and one of my family's favorite things to order. I personally love the fish tacos and I top them off with their house made green salsa- so good! . When you come in, make sure to save room for the dessert nachos. They take their homemade chips and sprinkle them with cinnamon and sugar, top them with bananas, strawberries, a drizzle of chocolate sauce, and whipped cream. I'm getting hungry just thinking about them. They were open special hours on Super Bowl Sunday and we had them for the first time at a party we attended. Friend them on Facebook and you can see their daily specials as well as where their cart will be too. I hope you will give my new favorite Mexican place a try and support this locally owned business.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
