This place is so good I now time my trips to Portland so I'll hit it for lunch or dinner. It is old-style Mexican food -- i.e., it's not the newer taqueria street fare -- but it's head and shoulders above the typical Mexican family restaurant. The chips come out hot, the salsa is complex, the cheese enchilada is stuffed with so much gooey, melted cheese that it's hard to finish one. The kitchen pays close attention to detail and the food is consistently top quality. I just wish I lived closer.

I lived in the Creswell area for two years and this was my favorite locally-owned restaurant. The ownership and staff are efficient and cheery, though I can't say I got to know them well. Booth seating is much more comfortable than the tables and chairs. The Tex Mex Mexican food is good; cheese enchilada are very good, chicken enchildas are okay/good. Very affordable. If you're in Creswell, give Los Cabos a try. Negative: No wireless point for public use (at least to my knowledge)

Los Cabos has your average fare of Mexican food. It's good if you're needing a burrito fix quick, but it's nothing special. With the small selection of restaurant options in Creswell it's definitely one of the best, but only by comparison. I still give it 3 stars though, for effort.

Love the homemade salsa here nice and spicy just how I like it :) The chicken chimychunga was really good, so was the enchilada and beans. Huge plate full of food, I only got through half and took the rest home. Fast and friendly service. Such a nice little restaurant.

The King was out on his Kingly duties when I had the sudden urge for sustenance. While deciding where to feast I came upon this establishment that served food from a far away kingdom called, "Mexico". Although it was pronounced by it locals working in the King's kingdom as "me-hi-co". I was greeted by a smiling and merry hostess. After noticing that the King will be feasting alone, she escorted me to a table and asked if it was satisfactory for a person of my status. I agreed that the seating arrangement presented was quite satisfactory. I was given a bill of fare from which to decide from a vast array of Mexican delicacies. After a short while the hostess returned with some tortilla chips and two types of potions called salsas, one was green and the other red. I was also not ready to decide and demanded more time to choose. The hostess graciously accepted and carried onto the other patrons. Curiously and cautiously I tried the green potion first and was delighted by it's taste. Although it was a spicy concoction it was quite delightful in the amount of heat that was delivered onto my palate. Daringly I also tried the red one, and was quite hotter than the green yet still satisfactory in taste and amount of heat given. Back to the bill of fare I went after quenching my curiosity on the salsas. At first, The King was shocked at the prices that were demanded for the items presented. I have never paid such a price for Mexican fare in all my travels and seemed unreasonable. WIth great disdain for the prices The King ordered the platter of two cheese enchiladas and a taco, which would be served with a side of beans and rice at a price of $10.50. For that price I expected a fine feast that would be remembered. After a few moments of consuming chips by alternately dipping them between the green and red sauce my plate had finally come. The food looked plentiful and quite large in size. However, like The Queen keeps reminding me in the King's bed chamber is that size does not matter, but the content is important. From the beginning there was a faint disturbing odorr that was protruding from the side of beans and was quite a disappointment. I started my meal with the taco. The chicken was not seasoned well and just with salt. Every bite caused the taco to run it's watery juices upon my dish. Not pleasing one bit. The meat needed to be drained more prior to being put into the shell. The enchilada was quite good and cheesy. The King had no complaints on this portion of the meal. The rice was quite a bit bland and only became flavored when the red salsa was added. Overall the meal was quite weak in flavor and overall satisfaction. The King feels quite taken advantage of or paying hefty coin for food that was not worth it. I felt as if I was taken advantaged of and horns-waggled. The King paid for the meal and left with quite disdain of getting mediocre fare for a premium price. The King will not be returning. If you have the opportunity to roam through my kingdom on the I-5 road, there are much better fare in my city of Eugenia.

Just a quick stop off of I-5, located on the mail street going into Creswell. Who know it was a city? We were craving Mexican food. Snagged a booth right away. There were a couple of locals enjoying lunch so we decided to stay. I ordered a tamale with rice and beans, my friend chile verde, pork. We asked for black beans instead of retried. They were not available. Food average. Portion size average. Probably won't be back.

I live in Creswell and eat here once or twice a month. It's good. I don't get why some might say it's not "authentic" Mexican food - the restaurant is owned and all the staff are Mexican. Okay, okay... I get that the food can still be "Americanized", but it is quite good. They do have a pretty extensive menu. The service is great! Oh, and the margaritas a good (and strong) and they have several kinds to choose from.

Pretty good Mexican food. Atmosphere is a little lacking and the food is nothing to write home about but for a small town it's not bad at all. I've been here several times and would go again.

Being mexican I grew up eating some great food my mom made, but when we discovered los cabos (org. Cancun on franklin in Eugene) we don't go anywhere else to eat mexican food, it is the best!! great staff great food, we followed them when they moved to creswell OR, now every few months we make the trip over when we want to eat out. Fantastic!

Three of us stopped for lunch on way back to Portland. Service was great, food was great. All around great. We'll be back next time we're in the area.

Generous portions, unexceptional food and drinks, awkward service. Very affordable, but unremarkable.

I've been here twice, once last fall and then again a few weeks ago. It's a good pit stop when you're driving the I-5 corridor and are sick of fast food. This is some of the best Mexican food I've had in the state. Hands down. It's not cheap, but there is so much food and it's so good, it's worth it to pay a little more and then have leftovers. Carne asada is excellent. Chicken fajitas excellent. They pick good cuts of meat and know how to cook them. Service, interior, all that is okay. Not too exciting. But given how most mexican restaurants are average in Oregon (Mexican food gets better as you get closer to Mexico, methinks), this one has food that is so much better, it is "as good as it gets" in Oregon so I have to give it five stars. I hope the locals support this place and keep it going.

I'm not big on sit down Mexican restaurants (I'd rather make my own at home) but I was impressed with this small hole in the wall. I went to visit some family in Cottage Grove back on September the 11th and they wanted to show us this place as they go here every week. We walked in and were seated right away. Chips and salsa of course were given out, but not just red, green. Both salsas had a nice flavor. It would have been nuke if we were given bean dip, but that's not a big deal. I had the fajitas and they were tasty. The steak and chicken had some kind of seasoning that really made you want more. The meat was also tender. Prices seemed reasonable and you had lots of choices. This is a difficult review to write...first of all, I am confidant that I may have had the best chile relleno of my life Friday night. The "service" that we received was some of the worst. We were in town for the Duck game the following day in Eugene and wanted to avoid the busyness of the local restaurants. I remembered, being the financially savvy chick that I am, that I had previously purchased a Restaurant.com certificate for Los Cabos. The decision was made! Upon being seated, I showed the hostess my smart phone with the certificate on it. I had read the certificate but wanted to ensure there were no other exclusions. She didn't seem to understand my question, I'm assuming due to the language barrier. Our server came to the table and I showed him my phone and asked if there were any issues and if alcohol was included. Si! So, we ordered three meals and several drinks. My order was wrong, no big deal. He caught the mistake before serving my plate and was back within five minutes. Our meals were very good. I have never had a chili relleno that was prepared so well! My Mom had a small nachos with shredded beef, and it was huge. My man folk had two chicken enchiladas and a shredded beef taco. Yum. Everyone was happy! The problems came at the cash register. I showed my phone to the gentlemen and he said that we would have to print the cert and they don't use smartphone apps. Again, based on a possible language barrier, I explained that this wasn't my fault and that there was nothing on the certificate that stated this. In hindsight, I could have also mentioned that I had asked two employees about any issues. After "discussing" this several minutes, our waiter came to the register and proceeded to remove the $25 from our bill. I felt like I was trying to get away with something shady! If you don't want to use this type of marketing, don't do it. If you do, then don't make a customer, who was, just a few minutes previously, a patron that would return again. Upon leaving, the waiter didn't even respond to my two "thank you for helping" remarks. What, now we're in second grade? Rude. Too bad. I was a huge fan of their food. I won't return because of their poor customer skills and that I was made to feel that I had done something wrong.

It's family owned and lovingly operated. When we want Mexican food we don't spend 30 minutes deciding which restaurant to go to, we just say meet you there. Francisco, the owner, is so humble about having the best Mexican restaurant on I5, I challenge you to pick him out. The food is flavorful and rich, in a the sense that its deeply satisfying. I don't have to give recommendations, pick it and order. You'll be happy.

Always get everything right and that's rare these days. The staff is very friendly and professional! So glad I'm in walking distance. Last night I got a to go order to share with my boyfriend and we were licking the plate lol

Decent lil place close to I5. Always can find a parking place very close to restaurant. I always get the fajitas and they are always good. Only downside is it's pretty busy some nights, but I guess that's a good sign

So... I work for a hotel in town and have sent probably 200+ people here. Everyone comes back RAVING about this place. I've eaten here 2 or 3 times... its good, i'd go back but I don't think its amazing. Everyone else does tho, got to go for 5 stars because I've never heard anything bad about it. Everyone talks about their margaritas and how well priced they are. Personally I thought they were a little on the high side ($9-12) I feel like beans are pretty inexpensive.

Best Mexican food in Lane County! Sloppy, saucy, spicy melted cheesey type Mexican food. Well worth the drive to Creswell to eat quality food. Service and comfort are good. I highly recommend checking this place out!

My wife and I stopped for dinner while traveling from Seattle to Austin, Tx. Since I know what authentic Mexican food is supposed to taste like, I tried not to compare it to the excellent Mexican food in cities like El Paso, San Antonio, and Los Angeles. I thought the decor and ambience was nice. Also, the waitress was friendly and provided good service. The salsa was good and was presented with tortilla chips. The menu was extensive. Where I disagree with everyone else is the quality of the food. I ordered a beef taco and beef enchilada; both contained what appeared to be some type of meat that did not taste like ground beef. The enchilada sause also did not taste like it contained much, if any, red chili. The cheese was bland and without flavor. The rice and beans were average. My wife ordered rolled corned tortillas stuffed with chicken. She was not impressed but thought her food was about average.

I'm always disappointed when we pass off hours from Los Cabos. Love their green salsa and red that come with chips when you're checking the menu. Crema sauce is rich and cheesy, great with chicken and lots of sauteed fresh veggies. Menudo is giant bowl of meat filled rich red stock, took leftovers home and added hominy to make one more great meal.

Service is fast and friendly, and the food is good. This is another great place to stop on the way up or down I-5. A highlight is the green salsa that comes with the chips and red salsa. The menu is extensive, and e everything our family ordered was great. The restaurant was full of locals for lunch on Sunday. Los Cabos, for the twin capes at the south end of Baja, has a beach theme, by the way.

Excellent food, quick service, extensive menu. Very reasonable price for the large portions. Located on the west side of I-5. I agree with the earlier reviewer. Great Mexican food. A good choice for a meal.

This place does good food. Whether it is authentic Mexican food, I cannot say as I don't have all that much experience with it, but when I ordered a special burrito with eggs generally called a breakfast burrito in NY, they had never heard of it, but they did make it to order and it was delicious. I ordered the same thing another time and there was some miscommunication with the server as I ended up having my rice and beans in the burrito, but it was still very tasty. My husband also ordered the pork tamales and the enchilada, which were good along with something that I had never heard of and the name of which I can't remember which was great. I am knocking off one star because I did order a fish taco and it was pretty blah, but other than that the food has been delicious. Oh, and they use compostable plates - yay!

I stopped while driving up I-5 and I was really glad to find this place! There's a large menu that had choices I don't see at my normal Mexican places. Very casual, fast, and reasonably priced.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
