Refused to make what I requested? Last time a restaurant did that to me Gerald Ford was president. I arrived to an empty restaurant at 5 PM, and asked for Orange Chicken (easy choice) plus something a little bit special: Pork Fried Rice made very well-done -- burned a little bit for maximum flavor. Had it enough times to know that's what I like. The waitress tried to place the order -- I could hear her talking to the owner in the kitchen, but the owner refused. Would not make Fried Rice very well-done -- she could not imagine anyone would want that, and was sure I would return it without paying, so she would have to throw it away. She wouldn't even make it on a "no return" basis. Was so disappointed I cancelled the order and walked out, paying only for the $3 beer I had half-consumed, and leaving a $40 tip for the waitress who tried. Bad attitude here -- recommend you look elsewhere....

They have good rates. Like their Moo Goo Gai Pan and the Hot and Sour Soup is always good.

Really convenient off the freeway N or S bound. Delicious food and friendly fast service. A ton of food for a little money. Sweet and sour pork with 6 piece shrimp and pork fried rice for 8 bucks. All tasted good. Maybe a tad on the heavy batter side, but delicious nonetheless.

Although located in an old gas station, China Wok will not let you down. The prices are very fair, the proportions or huge and the flavors are great. Some of my favorite dishes are bbq pork low mein, sesame chicken and mongolian beef. Lunch specials are also great here.

Never been here before or heard much about it but thought I'd try some takeout. I showed up, reviewed the menu, and waited for my takeout order. It was fairly quick. The interior is nothing fancy but not awful either. The important part....food was pretty good! Got the Szechuan Chicken with Pork Fried Rice. The takeout containers were absolutely stuffed and I only ate about half for the dinner.......the remainder made for a delicious lunch the next day. I believe my dinner was $9.95.

Best Chinese food in the area trust me I tried them all. We go here almost once a week for lunch. The egg rolls, sweet and sour pork or Chicken are delicious and you can tell they aren't full of msg or sodium cause Chinese food usually gives me a headache and I always feel fine after eating here. Also the soup and pork fried rice is always good. The waitress is also very nice and takes good care of us.

I love going here I have been living in Creswell for 20 years now and I have seen many places come an go I was glad to see this place when it came. The food is good the soup is wonderful and I always order mar far chicken it's the best freshly made an I always have enough rice to take home. It's good for breakfast with more egg added to it.

I've been going here since it first opened up. It is apparent it is an old gas station, from the layout. The interior is outdated in its decor but don't let that fool you. The prices are good for the portions you get. The mandarin chicken is fabulous and the egg flower soup is the best I've ever had. Whenever I'm in town staying at my parents house and I get sick, I request it specifically and it always makes me feel better. The service is straightforward but not unfriendly. A good bet for dinner in Creswell. I hope it's around for a long time. As a side note, I remember the local news story on this place when it first opened and shows the woman owned a restaurant in China, and made traditional Chinese food for years(with traditional ingredients) so she knows what she's doing.

The building doesn't look like much on outside, but inside it is clean and comfortable enough. My egg flower soup had good consistency, but was a little bland. Much tastier with a splash of soy sauce. The water also had a funny chloriney taste to it, but I'm assuming that is just how the local water tastes. My food was ready immediately after I finished my soup, which I always consider a mark of attentive service. The portion sizes were good, I actually had some leftovers to take home. The cashew chicken tasted fresh, perfectly cooked, and just the right amount of spice to it. The steamed rice was just right: tender and fluffy. My waitress was great. She left a small pitcher of water at my table because she noticed I was thirsty. I also witnessed her go out of her way to help an elderly lady who was struggling with the door. So I'd rate the food a 3/5, the service a 4.5/5, and the facility a 2.5/5. I would return if I were passing through the area and had an itch for Chinese food.

Pretty good Americanized Chinese food! Great lunch specials!! I had chow mein, mar far chicken & fried shrimp - I'm all fried out for the rest of the week!! Lol it also came with soup & I had tea also. It came to $6.95!! What a deal! Actually pretty good after I added chili sauce. I'll be back! It was cooked to order & came out immediately.

This has to be one of the worst meals I have ever been served. We were tired and heading home. I didn't want to cook so convinced my husband to stop and get take out. We ordered a simple chow mein and egg foo young. There were 3 pieces of foo young in the container. They smelled good but when I tried to serve them I had trouble separating them. Finally dumped the whole container onto the plate and forced them apart with a knife and fork! So over microwaved you couldn't cut them. Heck, you couldn't even stab them with a fork! Chow Mein was super salty with very little chicken and the crispy noodles were stale. Not just bad but totally, completely, awful!

The appearance of the restaurant is a run down gas station with the restrooms around back. The decorations are old and cheap. The egg flower soup tasted like Lipton soup but the Kung Pao chicken was surprisingly great. The atmosphere should be much nicer for the price they charge. They get away with it because they are the only local Chinese restaurant.

Old rundown former gas station on the outside, decent chinese restaurant on the inside. Fairly cheap, but satisfactory food. If I lived here I might come again, but passing thru next time i'll try somewhere else

Great Chinese! I live in Eugene - and we make the drive to go here. I normally get the "Clubhouse" for the family. Everything is great! We have always had great service dining in or picking up. Their prices are reasonable as well!

Okay. I would give it 4.75 out of 10. The food is average. Not bad, not spectacular, just average. If you get this place while things are going well, 7 out of 10. On the language side, authentic. While this can be nice for setting, it can lead to order discrepancies - which is why it's a 4.75. The food is slightly above average, but I have never attended without someone receiving an order discrepancy due to communication problems. The building has been used for all sorts of businesses in the past. The owners haven't done anything outstanding to help the community, as far as I can tell, but they certainly haven't hurt it. I'll give it some more patronage, but will not consider myself a 'devotee' by any means.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
