Los Cabos Mexican Restaurant

Reviews:
This place is so good I now time my trips to Portland so I'll hit it for lunch or dinner. It is old-style Mexican food -- i.e., it's not the newer taqueria street fare -- but it's head and shoulders above the typical Mexican family restaurant. The chips come out hot, the salsa is complex, the cheese enchilada is stuffed with so much gooey, melted cheese that it's hard to finish one. The kitchen pays close attention to detail and the food is consistently top quality. I just wish I lived closer.
I lived in the Creswell area for two years and this was my favorite locally-owned restaurant. The ownership and staff are efficient and cheery, though I can't say I got to know them well. Booth seating is much more comfortable than the tables and chairs. The Tex Mex Mexican food is good; cheese enchilada are very good, chicken enchildas are okay/good. Very affordable. If you're in Creswell, give Los Cabos a try. Negative: No wireless point for public use (at least to my knowledge)
Mojo de ajo, carne asada and mojarra frita. Humm! Great food, service, and drinks. I drive 12 miles go eat at this great place. Their chips and salsa will keep u happy and entertained.

Stopped here for lunch after a meeting in Creswell. Diner was clean and well kept up. There were four of us with two of us ordering the Club sandwich, one burger and one breakfast plate. The club was very good with nice crisp bacon and just enough lettuce. The fries that came with it were cold and seemed like they had been sitting for a while. We also ordered onion rings which were very tasty but a bit overcooked. Overall the food was good and I hope we just hit them on a bad day because it could have been excellent. I would probably give them another try if I was in the area again.
Joe's Diner was a very pleasant surprise. A diner in an area that apparently was lacking for diner's. The friend that lives in Creswell had never been so we figured we might as well all go over and try it for the first time together. I started out with a large cup of their hot cocoa which came out with whipped cream and chocolate syrup on top. Not being a coffee drinker, cocoa is where I find my warm in the fall and winter months. A good beginning. As far as main dishes go, the portions here are huge. Keep that in mind when ordering. Sue had one of their egg breakfasts which came with a side of meat, hash browns and french toast. She barely was able to finish the french toast much less the second plate of eggs, meat and potatoes. I had one of their skillets which was also very big. Loaded with eggs, hash browns, bacon (you have a choice of sausage or ham too), cheese and veggies which also came with your choice of toast or biscuits. I had biscuits and 2 came out. Sadly they didn't seem like they were made in house, but they weren't bad for what they were. There is a Joe and he looks like the picture on the sign out front. Another thing that stood out were the purple chairs. A cool visual extra for you to enjoy. They've only been around for a few months which explains the lack of reviews or pictures. It is time to put Joe's on the map. They are definitely worth a shot.
Great small town diner food. Excellant service, good prices, what more can you ask for for a small town diner? The burger I had was very good, refils came on my drink non stop. Washed it all down with a tasty choclate shake.

Refused to make what I requested? Last time a restaurant did that to me Gerald Ford was president. I arrived to an empty restaurant at 5 PM, and asked for Orange Chicken (easy choice) plus something a little bit special: Pork Fried Rice made very well-done -- burned a little bit for maximum flavor. Had it enough times to know that's what I like. The waitress tried to place the order -- I could hear her talking to the owner in the kitchen, but the owner refused. Would not make Fried Rice very well-done -- she could not imagine anyone would want that, and was sure I would return it without paying, so she would have to throw it away. She wouldn't even make it on a "no return" basis. Was so disappointed I cancelled the order and walked out, paying only for the $3 beer I had half-consumed, and leaving a $40 tip for the waitress who tried. Bad attitude here -- recommend you look elsewhere....
They have good rates. Like their Moo Goo Gai Pan and the Hot and Sour Soup is always good.
Really convenient off the freeway N or S bound. Delicious food and friendly fast service. A ton of food for a little money. Sweet and sour pork with 6 piece shrimp and pork fried rice for 8 bucks. All tasted good. Maybe a tad on the heavy batter side, but delicious nonetheless.

Don't judge a book by its cover... This restaurant is gorgeous inside. Clean, dark hardwood, gray walls with pops of lime green and galvanized barn lights above each table/booth. Historic black and white canvas photos of Creswell adorn the walls. Well done! Food was very good. My husband ordered a Cobb salad. Lettuce was fresh and the toppings plentiful. He probably would have enjoyed a burger more but was trying to eat light. I ordered the TJ's Scramble. It was served piping hot. The spinach was fresh! It was topped with gorgeous fresh avocado. We will definitely eat here again when we are traveling. The only negatives would be: The loud music (The Doors played on and on). And the outdated exterior. (Their signage and building trim scream early 70s late 60s.) Stop and eat here you'll be pleasantly surprised.
We stopped by here with the family after a long day and needing a nice meal. While this place is just off the freeway, it's kind of tucked away behind a building as you come off the ramp. It appears to me to be a locals type of joint. front half is a diner and the back is a bar. From advertising, it's the local place to hang out and watch various sporting events. For the most part, it's a decent place to have a meal. Service we got was excellent. Some patrons were greeted by name. Fries are coated and crispy delicious. Had a corn chowder soup at it was ok, but had some herb in it that I didn't particularly like. Mac and cheese is home made and you can tell that by the texture of the cheese as you eat it. Came with a lot of broccoli on top, too much in my opinion. Had a hot turkey sandwich. It was ok, with deli thin sliced turkey on it. Real mashed potato as the side. Chicken parma Panini was tasty, but slightly greasy. the marinara sauce was very tasty, however if I had eaten the whole thing, heartburn galore, but it was tasty. Overall, a decent place to stop by.
Every time we go there and there Is big game on like the UofO game today they NEVER have extra help one poor waitress running her ass off. We sat there 15 minutes and never got served so we got up and left. As we were getting up she then came over but we told her we were leaving. This is the 3rd time this has happened. Basically they are always short handed in the bar area. Sad. They have a gold mine there but continue us to under serve the local community.

I read somewhere that chicken was one of the healthiest meats because it has protein in it. If I can verify this rumor, Figaro's hot wings will be a permanent part of my diet. I think they were baked by angels. Their calzones are excellent too. I give this place five stars!
We stopped on our way back home to California. We ordered a medium thin crust half Hawaiian with jalapeños & half with tomatoes, olives, onions & mushroom. It was delicious! If you are craving a pizza then give it a try. Clean place & friendly service.
This is a fantastic place to go if you are looking to save a few dollars. Why, they were so interested in saving me money that they took extra care to make sure I didn't want to waste my money on a slice by displaying some unappealing dried-out singles under the heatlamp. In the past they had not been so careful to save me money and allowed me to buy one of those slices as part of a meal deal, and boy, was I relieved that I didn't need to buy one this time! They were also helpful in saving me over fifteen dollars on a medium pizza by making sure I was helpfully ignored at the counter. With my savings I went down the street for a sub sandwich for half the price! The value at Figaro's Pizza is amazing. They certainly were looking out for my budget!

Pleasantly surprised! Stopped here on a road trip looking for something close to the freeway, fast, good, and healthy. Super simple menu and service but the pulled pork and greens were delicious! Fast and friendly service and reasonably priced. I'll definitely keep this place in mind when traveling along I-5.
Well, it appears that this place may have closed. I knew that they closed down for the Lane County and State Fairs, but I'm pretty sure it hasn't been open since then. I called today to make sure, and the phone has been disconnected.
Quaint little barbecue joint in Creswell. I got the pulled pork, okra, collard greens. They were all very tasty. The service from the young girl working at the counter was exceptional. This appears to be a Carolina style barbecue place. I definitely will go back.

We had our son's 4th birthday party @ My Boys @ we had a blast! The kids absolutely loved the play area. They also have a room reserved for birthday parties which makes it easier to do everything. It doesn't cost anything to reserve the room either which is a big plus! We will most likely have our next birthday party there for our 2 year old daughter.
Great place for birthday paries. They no longer have Oregon Lottery which I think is awesome. Instead that room is available for reservations at no charge. The play area could use some updating in my opinion, but the kids seem to love it. I feel like since they changed ownership and are now My Boys (instead of Mr. Machos) there has been positive changes. The pizza is delicious upon order, but not so hot as leftovers the next day. The staff has all been very friendly.
Sandwiches, ok. Pizza, 50/50 ... appetizer platter - 100% delicious!! Fresh tasting jalapeño poppers, perfect onion rings, tasty mozzarella sticks (seasoned batter), very good chicken strips. The oil must have been fresh! Fast, friendly delivery.

Went in for just a burger and some fries and asked for a bacon burger with no pickles or the 1000 island but with everything else. But my burger only came with horrible bacon and ketchup. The meat patty was very cheap and I got a chunky texter from it. I don't know how this place is doing financially but serving low grade food isn't gonna keep the people coming.
Pros: Cheap, tater tots, relatively freindly staff, fairly fast, and open seating. Cons: Grease burps for a little while after and a little need for better interior. We always stop here when we try to whack some Gobblers for a fast and cheap snack. Never thought I was going to get a Kobe Beef burger here or a 80/20 sirloin masterpiece. But I have never spent more than 5 bucks here either. I have never gone into this place with any preconceived notions on what I was going to get. And so far I haven't been disappointed by what I ate. Standard fare of burgers and fries, but you can get Tater Tots instead also...big plus for me. The nostalgia of the place brings me back to childhood memories of small cafe's that served a couple of things...all covered in grease. Helps with the food sliding down your throat, not so much with digestion as the burps attest to.
Snak Shak is no longer in business. :( The phone number is disconnected, and all of the equipment, tables and chairs have been removed.
