Truly delicious! Not only is this by far the best food in the area, it may just be one of the best Mexican restaurants I've been to. And we eat A LOT of Mexican food. The style is unironic authentic Mexican American food with LARGE servings (a burrito can easy feed two hungry adults). The service is super - family owned and operated. If you like spicy do yourself a favor and order the camarones a la Diabla. Legit spicy and over the top tasty. The fajitas were also a hit with my family. Flan was the perfect end to our dinner. Muy sabrosa! (Oh, and they were full on a Tuesday evening so make reservations if possible, but don't pass it up if you don't!

We love this place. Id say it's the most popular restaurant in Chiloquin. It's ran by a kind and friendly family. They always treat us well, and take the time to visit with my daughter. One time I went in very sick and they made me up some special soup Togo; that made my day. Pros: EXCELLENT and friendly service, great prices, great chips and salsa, HUGE burritos, Texas Fajitas, delicious prime rib on Fridays, bomb breakfast, perfect Michaladas for hangovers, my go-to is cold shrimp cocktail. Cons: it gets busy during dinner rush, especially weekends. Might want to call ahead if you're with more than 1 or 2 people.

I know when I sit down at a Mexican restaurant and the chips and salsa are good, then things are going to be ok. Some of the best I have had, awesome. Chips were warm and crispy and salsa had a great flavor. I had the taco salad and would have given 5 stars but the flour shell wasn't crispy or warm. My husband had the California burrito and it was great. A little different with mushrooms and grilled onion. Different flavors for Mexican but worth the stop. Will definitely eat here if traveling this way again. Worth a few miles out of the way also!

El Rodeo Mexican restaurant sits in Oregon with a colorful presence of flowers on the outside and brightly painted walls and art on the inside. We stopped here because I have a hard time just driving by any place that serves salsa - especially if it's in an area I may not ever get back to. I ordered one crispy and one soft taco, and my husband shared the basket of chips and salsa with me. Fresh, tasty salsa and two awesome tacos for $6.95. It was a great deal! The place was very clean inside and we were fortunate to sit down right before a large party entered - our food came out fast and hot! Really good Mexican food that wasn't too greasy or heavy. Lucky Oregon - it would be worth stopping again!

This restaurant probably has the highest food quality to appearance from outside ratio in the area; that is to say from the outside it is a nondescript square cinder block building that looks like it might be a place to get your lawn mower repaired - but the food is good quality. I work at the nearby tribal clinic and we frequently go for lunch. Everybody has their favorites and vegetarian options are available. The burritos are as big as your head and I wonder what the reviewer who complained that his burrito was small was talking about. Most of our staff at the clinic eats half of their meal and gets the other boxed for the next day's lunch. The servings are big and the quality is standard "Mexican" style Mexican cuisine. The restaurant staff are always friendly, and the service is quick (especially if you phone your order in ahead of time like we usually do).

Not a lot of restaurants in this area of Oregon but this is a pretty good one to check out if you're super famished after a day of outdoor adventures at Crater Lake. It's a place to observe and/or mingle with the locals. The menu offers all the typical selections of a Mexican restaurant and includes vegetarian options. I ordered the vegetarian burrito which was as large as my head. It contained nicely roasted peppers, onions, carrots and broccoli. The green sauce was delicious.

We eat at El Rodeo regularly. It is good food and good service.the staff is very nice and aim to please. They have specials on Friday and Saturday night that are very good. Friday is prime rib and Sat is steak and v lobster. They also have really good burgers and they are reasonable. Rigoberti, Marina aged Jessie are the Best.

We stayed a few nights in the area to visit Crater Lake. El Rodeo is a gem! There are very few restaurants at all, and this one is excellent. Good fast service and the food is delicious! We had dinner here a couple of nights!

Location is kind of in the middle of no where, but one of the only restaurants close to where we were staying. Seated right away and were given chips with runny salsa. I ordered chicken enchiladas which were average. Thought that the chicken and fish tacos were a little bland. Prices were decent. Service was fast and friendly - lots of horse decor. Would recommend if you are staying in the area, but not a place I would go out of your way for.

I understand limitations the restaurant might face considering the location but the food here was really average. We took a lot of stuff to go for a group of 9 but everything was just about ok. Probably wouldn't go back here if I/when I visit again. The upside however is the owner and staff are very friendly and welcoming.

$12 for the smallest burrito on the west coast. Do yourself a favor and go to taco bell. Waste of money.

El Rodeo has come a long way and has some of the best prime rib in Klamath county. They have expanded their menu to burgers and offer steak and lobster on Saturdays. Tried their clam chowder and it too was delicious. The atmosphere leaves a little to desired but the food is worth the trip and the service is excellent.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
