Central's is probably the main bar/nightlife competitor with Morgan's, though the Pine Room could be a contender. The main difference between the two is that Central's is more of a bar/restaurant with no dance floor to speak of. It is another usual Burnsian/Burnsite hangout and it's not uncommon to see the same people at both places at different times during the night. The Central Pastime building was originally associated with the Central Hotel, which no longer exists, and has been in operation for 60ish years now. The front area is for the under-21 crowd and is set up with picnic-style dining tables and some arcade games. I don't think I've ever actually seen anyone using this area. From here you walk through swinging saloon doors to the rear area which contains the bar and kitchen, some booths and tables, and two free pool tables and a jukebox. No fancy internet jukebox here like at Morgan's, but the bartenders are happy to switch it over and someone did put a mix CD in the machine with some Flogging Molly and Dropkick Murphys songs, so thank you! The beer situation is not great for dark beer lovers; nothing on tap, though they do have Deschutes Black Butte Porter and Nectar Ales Humboldt Brown Hemp Ale in bottles. The bartenders are pretty friendly and attentive, and they all know what I drink. I don't eat here a whole lot, but the food is decent for what it is. I usually get a burger, which are tasty and inexpensive, though the fries usually come pretty greasy. I wouldn't come here strictly for dining, there are better options in town for that. If you're looking for a relaxed place to hang out, have a have a beer, and not listen to T-Pain or Ludacris, then Central's is probably your place (or give the Pine Room a look!).

I've had the pizza here, (which is supposed to be the house specialty) 3 times. Each time the crust has been over-baked, and the toppings nearly raw. I ordered a steak sandwich once, which was bland, though passable. The problem was that they forgot the accompanying french fries. I was able to flag down the waitress/bartender, and she said she'd get some, but never did. When she arrived with our bill, I told her I never received the fries, so she took fifty cents (Yes, fifty cents) off the tab. I was laughing too hard to complain. Lastly, I've never felt particularly relaxed here, as there is a disconcertingly high percentage of the patrons who seem to be itching for a fight. I wouldn't necessarily call this place a 'dive', because I've been to bars that are, in fact, dangerous dung-holes, but it is the kind of place where, on a Friday or Saturday night, you sip your beer with one eye peeled, lest you have to vacate your seat to accommodate a sudden round of fisticuffs.

It is a bar that makes some basic foods, like pizza, hot dogs and other deep fried stuff. Sunday's special was spaghetti. We found the barman to be friendly. The decor is dark wood, no windows, one large LCD TV, a non-adult section at the entrance for dining with the kids.

Really not sure why you'd eat anywhere else in Burns. We just had an awesome cheeseburger and fries for $6.75, an 8 oz. ribeye steak dinner with all the trimmings for $11.00, and Ninkasi and Deschutes drafts for $3.00 each. It's like some kind of price time warp. And the people really are nice too! And there are dead animal heads all over the walls!! And free wifi!!! On Memorial Day!!!! I'm only amazed the crappy Mexican place is right next door. They should not be allowed on the same fricking block as CP!

Probably a nice local watering hole, but only order the food if you have a Lot of free time and you don't care about quality. The service was friendly, but in attentive. To be fair, there isn't a lot to choose from on a Monday night in Burns. At least I didn't starve. I've never seen a New York steak cut 3/8" thick. I might be generous on that measurement. Anyway, it was an experience. Next time I'm in Burns on a Monday, I'll try to drive to Bend.

This was our first stop after settling into our room in Burns. We had just had an 11+ hour drive with kids and a puppy, so we just wanted food and sleep. Food was hard to come by here. When we walked in, nobody came to the table for over 20 minutes. And then the waitress, after taking our drink order, was another 20 minutes to take our food order because 'she got busy with the bar guests'. Ok. Food was not edible. Sweet potato fries were burnt, 'French dip' was dry and overlooked, salad loaded down with onion. Terrible fare, and worse service.

This is our go-to place in Burns. The Club is the bomb. The onions are out of this world. The beer is cold. Friendly folks make you feel right at home.

Burgers/fries and cold brews after a long dusty day hounding. Great service, casual ambiance good prices, hit the spot. Trophy mounts were an interesting touch.

Great burgers and good beer! The staff has been very nice when I've been there. Free wifi. One of the only places in Burns with decent customer service and quality food.

Stopped here on the way to another destination. Very casual bar atmosphere but don't let that fool you. Great soup, homemade and a darn good burger with hand cut fries. Would go there again for sure.

Well 1st off, little weird up front but once you enter the bar it gets better. The food is really good here. We eat lunch here regularly!
