Delicious food and margaritas. I highly recommend the carne asada or pollo a la crema. Baltazar is very friendly and desires to please all of his patrons. You will be so pleased to enjoy a visit!

I felt for the price I was expecting way better taste. Living in San Diego my whole life I'm very picky for 70$ I could a paid half that amount at El rancho grande with better tasting food

My wife and I stopped in quickly for an appetizer. Don't be put off by the prices, you more than get your money's worth! We split the appetizer and a beer and left full and satisfied. The food is excellent, top-notch. Highly recommend you give this east side location a try.

A bit disappointed. Food was OK - nothing to write home about. Not that it was bad - just so-so. They did have good black beans and rice. Tacos Al Carbon was just some overcooked beef with some chopped onion. For the prices they charge it should have been far better. Not bad enough that I'd never go back but not good enough that I want to go back either.

Came here with my family for my sister's birthday, all I can say is I am very unimpressed. The owner/waiter was in a very obvious bad mood right from the start. Then my 5 year old accidentally spilled her glass of water on the table. This could have been avoided had they not given her a giant adult sized glass filled to the top with no lid. They hurried to move us over to another table which was nice, but all while huffing and puffing about it like it was the end of the world. Clearly they do NOT want children in this restaurant (no kids menu either). The food took a very long time, and was honestly over-priced and under-flavored. I would rather go to any of the other dozens of excellent Mexican restaurants in town, and pay half as much money for twice as much food.

LOVE Si Señor! So fresh not your typical oily Mexican food. I highly recommend this place, food and drinks are amazing!! Great service as well! A +++

We ate here for the first time tonight because of a coupon for $10 off in the Smart Shopper magazine. We're glad we did! The food was amazingly fresh, hot, and tasty. The service was top notch, very friendly, attentive, and efficient. The location is in a corner of the Bend Factory Outlet Mall, so it's a little hidden from the main highway. Prices are a little spendier than most Mexican restaurants, but the food and service make it worth it. Highly recommended.

Our neighbors recommended this restaurant and we loved it. Spices just right, chicken enchilada and chili relleno were delicious! My ice tea glass was kept filled which doesn't happen in other restaurants, I always think this is the mark of a good restaurant . We are definitely going back, in fact, this is now my favorite Mexican restaurant. Please give it a try, I know you will like it!

I have to admit that I was a bit surprised to find such delicious, authentic Mexican food in Bend. The food was flavorful, the portions generous (we had plenty leftovers to fill us at lunch the next day), and the service phenomenal. The sangria was to die for! I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Bend!

Si Señor brings authentic fresh Mexican food to the SE side of Bend. The service has been fantastic and the food is consistantly good. We've sampled quite a few items off of the menu and everything we've tried tastes fresh, like it was made for us instead of sitting around waiting for someone to order it. The atmosphere is simple yet classy and it has become one of our favorite spots to stop in for a quick dinner and margarita.

We went here with high expectations due to their other restaurant. Disappointed! The rice didn't seen fresh, and no flavor. The beans were watery! Yuk. My husbands taco was very ordinary no presentation or flavor. Sad since we live nearby, but won't be going back.

People talk about the prices, and though they are more than I expected to pay, the food was great and you got a lot of food. The evening was interesting, when we arrived, we were the only people, then more showed up, but two women seated behind us, decided they didn't want to stay and eat after ordering drinks and eating chips and salsa, which made the owner very upset, so he decided to close early and turned away many people by the time we left. However, when we took the time to talk to the owner, he was very pleasant and fun to talk to. He had just had his fill of rude customers that day and didn't feel like tolerating any more. The place is very clean. Full bar! And, as I said before, the food was very good! There were four of us and we all ordered something different and loved it all!

While this place is convenient and very clean and attractive, I feel the food is very mediocre and it is totally overpriced! My daughter and I each ordered a margarita and we were asked by the server if we would like the Cadillac margarita. We said yes. We were shocked when the bill came and they were $13 each. They are in no way that good and you should not expect to pay those prices in an outlet mall restaurant. I would expect to pay those prices at a high end resort. I ordered two shredded beef tacos. Their idea of shredded beef is cutting it into chunks with a knife. There was certainly no shredding involved. I live in Phoenix and I know what good Mexican food should look and taste like. The bill for two adults and one child was $61, before tip. The server was very nice but again, that is ridiculously overpriced in my opinion.

I really can only say this I've walked in twice and walked out twice, just can't justify their prices! And I love to spend money, but not when I know I'm being taken advantage of...

Love this place! Much closer to us than Baltazar's, and food is just as delicious. Plus we love the personal interaction with Senior Chavez. Go for the great food and company, if you're looking strickly for atmosphere then Baltazar's is your choice. Either way, you can't lose!

On first arrival, we asked for an appetizer menu since we really came for a drink. We were told we only could order from the lunch menu. When they came to take our order we said, " decided on just drinks". We then were told, with their license, we had to order food. We did, it was good. But didn't like the comment

Went to lunch today at Si Senor for the first time and loved it! I ordered the Camarones Mexicanos which is prawns with bell peppers, onions with some kind of garlic oregano sauce on flour tortillas and my mouth fell off my face. The owner Baltazar was incredibly nice and welcoming and thankful for our business. It is always nice when you feel appreciated at a restaurant and you do at Si Senior. We will be back!

We just went there for the first time the other day and it exceeded all of our expectations for a Mexican restaurant. I ordered the burrito a la cream and it had a great sauce served with refried black beans and Mexican rice. The margarita was over ice (my request) and outstanding. The owner was incredibly hospitable and bent over backwards to meet any of our needs (I drink a lot of water). The decor was beautiful, in the bar area there is a painting of the middle and north sister with the sun setting behind it and I actually am now contemplating getting ahold of the artist in order to have my own copy. The restaurant is just starting out so please go try them out and let me know what you think. PS- If the painting of the sisters is gone it is because I stole it (just kidding) :)

Baltazar started off pretty crabby and not friendly at all but by the time our meal was over he was super friendly I thought that was somewhat strange. There was 10 of us most enjoyed their meals. I had a combo plate the tamale was so dry and hard I had trouble cutting it much less eating it! Chili relleno was good

I had a wonderful and delicious dining experience at si senor. Crab enchiladas were cooked to perfection. My fellow diners received Carne asada that was seasoned wonderfully. Service was friendly and attentive. I will definitely be going back soon and recommending to my friends. Thanks Baltazar :)

This was the first Mexican restaurant I have tried since moving to Bend, and I fell in love with it! Delicious and fresh food, with amazing service. I will definitely be back!

I'll be reviewing Si Señor in real time. My wife and I chose to say outside (because it was nice, but it was also a little bland inside, as far as decor) and were promptly greeted with chips and two cups of salsa, as well as a carafe of water and full glasses- thanks for not bringing is empty glasses with the carafe! The salsa is good with just enough spice and flavor, but a little runny. The server greeted (very nice gentleman, great service thus far) us and asked what we wanted to drink- I ordered the signature margarita which was served very quickly in a big 20oz glass- which I think I like, compared to having to poor my remaining margarita into a glass. My wife ordered a carina and was served with a chilled glass. Perfect. I ordered the Al Carbon Steak Tacos and my wife ordered the Deluxe Shredded Beef burrito. We received our meal only 10 minutes after we ordered and the plates look great. The steak was tender and very tasty. Her shredded need was the same. Nothing dry about our plates. I could have used a lime with my tacos, but that is a small thing to change. The beans and rice were good, but not a lot of flavor. A lime and some cilantro would have gone a long way. All together, very tasty and well priced. We will be back again. I give it a 4.5 but will round up to 5 stars. The service was fantastic and quick- the food was fresh and tasty!

I have only been here once . The dinning room was very clean and simple . The service was good . I ordered the fish tacos .( The most expensive plate on there Menu) .The plate was so hot it was radiating like a camp fire and my fish was unseasoned and I believe it was also Microwaved . I spent the rest of my day in miserable discomfort . I did eat my meal as I was really hungry , it was a bad move on my part

Had lunch there today. Was very disappointed. Black beans were like soup. Chile Relleno not good at all. My friend ordered a Chile Relleno and tostada. She ate the lettuce. The ice tea tasted funny too. Dining room was nice.

we have been meaning to try this place for a few months.. so glad we picked tonight... a good way to relax and enjoy great food and friendly service.. the owner was quite gentle with our 3yo shy grandson who quickly warmed up to the point becoming chatty and giggly. will go back for sure!

When we saw the ad for this place, we thought our favorite restaurant from Portland had opened a Bend location. Needless to say, we were there the next day. Atmosphere 1 star, service 2 stars, food 3 stars. Avg. 2 stars. Overpriced and underwhelmed. We won't return.

From the outside the place didn't look much, but once we got inside that changed. The decor is nice, as is the atmosphere. The food was great, a bit pricey, but 4 people shared the fajitas and it was more than enough. The only issue I have is that they added on an extra plate of beans and rice without asking us, and surprised us with the extra $3 when we went to pay. Good food, but next time I'll be more careful when I order.

Great to have a place like this on the south side of town. My Wife, Daughter and I went for lunch on a Sunday at about 1pm and enjoyed the food. The prices are great $9 to $12 and wonderful flavor and presentation for the money. Margaritas were excellent and the service was very friendly and helpful. The Carne Asada was phenomenal, with a flame grilled flavor of food porn for your mouth. Another reviewer said that they were rude because of her kid, maybe stick to Mickey D's.

  • Kathy B.

Very disappointing. Service was wonderful but food was the blandest Mexican I've ever eaten. Sauce for Shrimp with Mushrooms and Vegetables tasted like thickener with some overcooked bell peppers and a few mushrooms and shrimp. Shrimp was cooked well; just wish it was tastier. The only thing to recommend is their salsa.

  • Kimber M.

I can't believe the good reviews here. Maybe we went on a bad night? Service was terrible. My sopito cups looked like they were made out of plastic, dry chicken with no flavor, the ground beef tasted like it was hormel chili w/no beans, boring rice and the chips tasted like stale tostitos. My boyfriend ordered fish and octopus. The octopus was tough, fish was alright, probably the best part of both meals but not only because the bar was set pretty low. Prices were way too high for the poor quality and the atmosphere? What atmosphere?? We will definitely not be going there again.

No Senor...Didn't have a chance to try the food because the owner closed the place down early just as myself and 2 other couples were approaching. Guess he doesn't need the business!

We had a great dinner. I ordered the burrito a la cream and it had a great sauce served with refried black beans and rice. The margarita was good. Our service was great. Prices are a little high but the burrito was huge. Glad to have a place to eat on the south side that is worth going back to. We didn't have kids with us so I can't comment on that and we didn't see other kids in there. I would hope that being located in an outlet mall, they would have a kids menu?

In all of my travels, I have never been to such an authentic, quality Mexican gourmet restaurant. I'm so lucky that si senor is in my hometown. The staff is friendly and courteous, the atmosphere is extremely warm and inviting. The owner, baltazar waited on us every time, which really felt personalized. My family and I have recommended si senors to all of our friends (especially the Margaritas and crab enchiladas) for any outing. This will definitely be our go-to restaurant from now on! :)

I give Si Señor 5 excellently scrumptious stars! Being a new restaurant, it is extremely clean and tastefully decorated. The owner was our maître de and server and appropriately attentive to our table (not too little nor too much attention). Our dishes (fish tacos, tostada and chicken enchilada along with side dishes of black beans and uniquely delicious rice) were a delight. We will be back to try the many other entrees on Si Senor's menu!

Anytime there is a new restaurant in town my husband and I always like to visit it a few weeks to months after they open so they get a chance to settle in. Si Senor is just okay. It felt very empty and unenthusiastic inside other than the three beautiful paintings. my husband had the shrimp mexicano and the shrimp were cooked perfectly and a good size but the sauce was bland. As a side you get rice and black beans. I felt these were last minute plate fillers. Both sides lacked any seasoning and flare. I ordered the shredded beef burrito with guacamole and sour cream. the sauce was flavorfull and the meat was well seasoned but fatty in some parts of the burrito. The tortilla however was very mushy as if they didnt toast it before drenching it in sauce. The sides were the same as my husbands so i scraped the cheese off the top of the beans and ate it with a chip and it was still bland. The chips and Salsa was very good. The salsa had a nice kick. we just ordered waters which we had to waive someone down after having empty glasses for a while. After that the hostess (yes hostess) was very attentive. I just felt this restaurant lacked warmth or passion. I had high hopes. This is such a competive area and I have to say Hola remains my favorite mexican restaurant. Si Senor could take a page out of Hola's service handbook.

We decided that we needed to try this new restaurant. Being from Southern Cal we haven't found too many eateries in the NW that can "do" Mexican food. We were pleasantly surprised. The food is fresh, presented well and just plain good! The service was excellent and the atmosphere relaxing. GIve them a try!

Went with my folks and wife. Food was average Mexican fair nothing special or noteworthy at all. My folks wanted to split fajitas and our server got visably annoyed and made sure my folks knew in no uncertainty terms they would be charged extra for the trouble of providing a 2nd plate. I ordered flautas and received one.. most other places in town you get 2 or 3 for $14. Over all I think they are over priced for the food quality. With so many Mexican options I would go elsewhere.

Visiting from out of town, we stopped in for a quick lunch and were pleasantly surprised! I ordered the spinach and mushroom enchiladas, delicious! Sauce could have been spicier but that's just personal preference. My family got chicken enchiladas Julia (which I had to try!), also delicious! Service was fast, and the owner was extremely personable. I would definitely go back next time I'm visiting.

my visit was on 09/24/14. All i have to say, my chicken and steak fajitas were extremelly tasteful as well as my fresh strawberry margarita. This place has a quiet/relax enviroment for business meetings or date night. And yes, i looks like it may not be a family and kids place to eat. However, the service was prompt and the money you pay for the food is worth it. Definitely taking my date next time i visit this place

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
