Whenever I think of Shari's, I think of high school. In a good way. Shari's was where my girlfriends and I would come to decompress after a game (I played tennis) or just hang out with the girls. I love breakfast so I almost always order breakfast. I get nostalgic when I see a Shari's. The restaurant itself is nice and clean. It looks like any other Shari's that you've been in. More recently, I was at Shari's with the boyfriend for a late night pie and hot chocolate. It really hit the spot. It was also a very nice time. It was good service. Great pie. Yummy hot chocolate. Great company. It was an all-around good time and that is why I like Shari's.

Absolute garbage food and worse service. It wasn't even busy and took forever to get drinks and our messed up food order. I'm done with this place and it's sad because there was a time when the food and service was good.

staurant and am usually pretty easy going about restaurant service since i understand how it works and that sometimes things go wrong and its not the servers fault. But this was just terrible. There were 2 servers and only 4 tables. Ive had one server take on over 10 tables at work and be faster than this. It took ten minutes to get seated, 30 to get our order taken and almost an hour to get food and then we never got the check. We had to wait up front for someone to notice us and find it to check out. And all the while, not once did anyone ask to get us drinks or check on us. Just bad service and time management.

My friends and I have gone to this Shari's numerous times out of convenience. And convenience is one of the reasons it has two stars at all. Food: The food is typical diner food: sandwiches, steaks, breakfast, burgers, etc. The milkshakes and pies are both alright but I always leave Shari's feeling blah. I got an omelette once and the eggs tasted really strange. The paninis are ok, but you can tell they are pre-made. Fries are also just alright. Pricing: For the quality you receive, I feel like it is highly overpriced. Service: here's where I have the biggest issue. I work in food service and understand frustrating guests. My friends and I are young, but well mannered and always tip. But we are often treated poorly and have even been told there was a reservation at that specific table and were asked to leave. Odd. I don't ever desire to go here, and bad food can be forgiven if its available 24 hrs. Bad service however, cannot.

Just your standard diner. Nothing out of the ordinary. Apparently they are all over the place including California. My friend ordered breakfast and I had some of his french toast and thought it was decent. It is definitely one of those places I would come to order breakfast, anytime of the day. Also, if you are in need of a slice of pie that is worth stopping for. They have all your standards including some unique combinations like carmel pecan. I am hesitant about their "pie shakes" (basically a pie blended in with ice cream) seems like it has potential, but I am still weary. I will not hate until I try though.

We went to Shari's yesterday, Sunday, for a late lunch/early dinner at about 4:30 PM. There were only about 6 other tables taken. We were seated pretty fast, in the Solarium, where there were no other diners. Our server came & took our drink and food orders & that was the last we saw of her. After about 1/2 hour we finally called another server over & asked him if there was a problem with our order. He said that he would check for us. About 5 minutes later the 2nd server finally brought out our food. When we were almost finished our original server decided to stop by & see if we needed our drinks refilled. I asked her to refill mine. After we were done eating we waited & waited & waited for our check. I noticed our server waiting on tables in the main dining area & at the server's station. When she finally made eye contact with me I asked her for the check. I think that Shari's must be training their people the same way that Howard Johnson's, on the East Coast did. There must be some psychological reason behind the slow service. But, I'll be damned if I know what it is. Anyhow, if it's a really SLOWWW, leisurely meal that you're looking for you might want to try Shari's. visit my website, baronsrestaurants.com for reviews of other restaurants..

I had to vacillate between a 2 star and a 3 star on this one. We had family breakfast here, table for six, although I live in the neighborhood I have never eaten at this particular Shari's that I remember anyway. My food was good, the Eggs Benedict was very tasty, the English Muffin nicely toasted, the eggs poached well and the Hollandaise Sauce was a tad lemony and delish! The Hash Browns were kind of strangely hard and a tad greasy, next time I get the Fruit. The Benedict was in my top 4, they used to use a big piece of ham, now they have found some round shaped ham which fits the muffin better but is not quite as tasty. The iced tea, extremely weak, I tried Hubby's coffee, not good. Hubsters had the Cinnasation French Toast, which is what he always gets. Now they ask if you want all the EXTRAS, he was like what? Now they put Carmel sauce, nuts and whipped cream on the already fat bomb of a French Toast made with Cinnamon Rolls. Skipped that part. Overall it was OK, not in a big hurry to go back, used a coupon. They apparently don't do eggs very well, Dad had to send his back. The waitress was as nice as can be, our glasses never went dry and she checked back repeatedly to see if we needed anything. The Manager also came by twice to make sure we were happy. Wish I could get that kind of service at some nicer places.

It is what it is - sort of utility comfort food. Now that my brother has kids, it's become a regular spot, and a group of about eight of us descended for a late post-Christmas brunch. Servers were reasonably nice, the manager was fast and friendly. In the end, it took quite a while for our food to come out - perhaps the kitchen was a bit understaffed. That can be an issue with a couple of young kids. Food quality was decent, and the menu does have quite a bit of variety. I had a decent pressed sandwich and a very nice slice of cherry pie.

I would give this Shari's at Farmington and 185th in Aloha a five stars if Shari's were not shut out of this designation by its nature. If you ever miss the bus and are trapped in Aloha overnight, take refuge in this bin of hospitality. Clean and shining, like a diner from the 40s in my mind, with hale and hearty employees who are genuinely nice. One offers me a ride to the nearest bus line, the other gives me my 7 hour cup of coffee on the house. The night passes with soft rock hits from the 70s and 80s and the bottomless cup of coffee. A couple guys with bikes and bike suits hang outside for several hours. The sheriff and his boys come in. A former employee orders the stuffed fries, and her extended conversation with the guy on duty about exes manages to not be bitter. (This conversation though has the unnerving tone of people who used to have drunken conversations in late night restaurants, until a pitchfork was thrown. The children were taken away, they were warned sternly by authorities against drunken conversations and their consequences. They've lost the high stakes and the drama now. Still there are certain vices that are less depressing than their cure, and whose absence suggests that the resulting calm is more a result of the inability to calculate what was lost than a coming to peace). The vacuum silently sucks things off the carpet-- this too, is unnerving. It's like the Prius-- I am always waiting to get hit by one as I step off a curb. The man in the kitchen seems to be called Jorge. People trickle in from the closed bars. This place is more pleasant than weird, which makes it shine like a beacon in the world of 24 hr restaurants. I ate the pastrami hash and eggs, which, though slightly unreal like much diner food, passed muster.

Since moving to the Cooper Mountain area of Beaverton in March of 2012, Shari's has become our second home. The food is comforting, the location is great, and the staff is amazing!! These people feel like family to me. Great service accompanied by great food; who could ask for more?

Nothing here was memorable, except for the pie. I had the S'mores pie which turned my intestines into a massive water slide. There is nothing else that needs to be said other than, I will not go back.

Typical Shari's. Our waitress was a real sweetie, so cheerful and pleasant. The food was fine. We had been upacking all day long and into the evening it was close to 10 PM and this place was open. My husband had the chicken and biscuits, which were all right. I had the chicken fried steak, which was ok, not great but ok. The soup I had with my dinner was really good, chicken noodle. My husband's dinner salad was also tasty and fresh.

Two words: Food Poisoning. I'd been to this and other Shari's locations quite a few times, but I'm not sure why since the food was OK but never all that wonderful and they weren't that great of a value. My opinion was roughly 3-star-ish, but once I actually and literally got food poisoning, I was pretty well done with them. Since they are 24 hours, I could see maybe going in the wee hours just for coffee and pie. Someday. Just not yet.
