If you really want to dine in at a restaurant and dont care too much about service or how well your food was done than its a great place but If you want good service and good food I would go somewhere else. But on the other hand they are open 24 hours and probably the only one place that is around this area.

Nobody goes to Sharis because the food is great. You go because they are open at all hours and it's convenient. Usually the food is at least decent but tonight it was just terrible. I ordered the steak and salad with pecans. I asked for my steak to be rare but when I received it, it was very well done and nearly inedible. It looked like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for quite some time. It was so rubbery, I could barely chew it. That was the first and last time that I'll order steak at Shari's. The only reason I'm giving them two stars is because the salad was pretty good and I enjoyed the blackberry lemonade.

Terrible, terrible experience. Upon walking in we got greeted and seated by our rude hostess. We then waited for our server to take our order, which took 30 minutes. The server we had was really good considering she looked like she was working her butt off while others were standing there. It then took another 30-45 minutes of us waiting for our food. We didn't receive our food until the table next to us demanded the manager because of the crappy service they received also and we too had to make a scene. We then got our food immediately, but we were all less than pleased. The manager was one of the worst I have ever seen. He was unprofessional and rude also. He didn't seem to care that we were unhappy for valid reasons. I hope this Sharis gets its act together because they seem to be disappointing a lot of people..

Service was very slow, had to find our own silver and half the meal was burnt. Won't return unless forced. Seriously bad.

Love the new look, great customer service & food. We come here often for lunch and recommend the trio which comes with a slice of pie too!

Terrible wait time, host was rude, the server was great considering it was busy, I'm sure it had been slow she would of been more personable, the other servers didn't look they were working even half as hard as her. Girl with purple hair, you go! But food was cold, waited 35 mins only got it after we made a scene. This is extremely disappointing because I grew up going to sharis and this is the 1st poor experience ever! I came here for one of my few dinners back in town and it was terrible.

I have come in multiple times (about once a week right now) to this location all times day and night...depends on my work schedule.... I have always been treated with respect weather i look like a truck rolled over me...tired, or dressed up and after church with my mom and step dad. The food has always been proportionate to the price which I cannot say about other places since the economy tanked back in 07. Anyway, I wanted to highlight a couple dishes that I thought exceptional. The $9.99 Rosemary Chicken and Dumplings....really good balance of flavors, little bits of carrots and chopped potateos, peas, chunks of chicken. Great balance of spices and blended herbs. Recently I was wanting a burger/beef type sandwich but didn't want to spend more than 500-700 calories on a sandwich so I went with The Cuban, and wow soo good! at $8.99 I got a large cuban (which i added sauteed mushrooms to-YUM!) choice of tots, steak fries, sides salad or cup of daily soup-all of which calories are listed. I chose tots and even upgraded them to parmesan herb tots, which have great herbs on each tot as well as parmesan and fresh green onion-mmmmm Tonight I was craving a bit of breakfast, but trying to watch my carb/fat intake avoided my fave Belgin waffles with strawberries, or strawberry crepes... both supurbe! I went with the $3.99 Steel cut oatmeal (Bobs Red Mill) with some strawberries! satisfied my breakfast crave, kept it pretty healthy and got my strawberries-yes! Highly recommend it! I Had that with hot tea and tonight switched it up a bit added peach ice tea- just a hint of summer made it just about perfect! Tonight the hostess was bubbly and remembered me from last visit to plug in my computer and where i preferred to sit. As for pie- a cause its the holidays and b- they are famous for their pies- Holiday Mint Pie! starts with a chocolate cookie crumb crust, with a thin layer of chocolate to seal it against the smooth and creamy mint fillling complete with red and green chips inside and topped with whipped cream and shavings....yummmmm! As for a special mention of service: Guy, Meegan, & Mary Ann different shifts and days I have come in they have repeatedly shown patience, checked in on me regularly, and when I bring in my laptop they plug me in serve my food, make sure I have hot water for my tea, as well as lemon and honey supply because I ask for it. If it gets busy, which fequently it does, they check with me, let me know its getting busy and to flag them down if i need anything before they next check on me.

Every time I eat here their dishes are dirty. The worst being the time I ordered hot chocolate and there were two empty creamer cups floating under the whipped cream. Someone there either needs to learn how to do dishes or they need a better dishwasher. Regardless, I won't be going back.

There was only 2 other families there when we say down, it took 8 minutes just for someone to bring water. She didn't even ask if we were ready to order, or if we wanted anything else to drink. After another 10 minutes for her to come over. We ordered drinks and said she'd take out order when she brought them. The dish washer ended up bringing our drinks. We waited 10 more minutes, paid and left. Only to see our "waitress" smoking outside. Unprofessional.

I've been to Shari's off and on over the years, nothing to write home about. Usually, it's about average in food and service. The one redeeming feature, is that this particular Shari's is open 24 hours. This is great after a night of dancing, and we're hungry, and there really isn't much open at 3am! My friends were already waiting for me in the restaurant when I got there. I enterred, and the manager just kind of looks at me without saying anything. So I comment that I thought my friends were already there, and he said I was free to look, and fortunately one of my friends happen to come around the corner from where they were seated. We ordered, and things seem to be fine, when one of my friends realizes he didn't get any pancakes, which is what he wanted, but has hashbrowns that he doesn't really like. So he comments to us, that he thought he got pancakes. When the waitress comes back, he inquires. She points out that it was an option in place of the hashbrowns. She just doesn't mention it during the ordering process. So she asks if he would like the pancakes...and he said yes, if it wouldn't be too much trouble. So she makes him give the hashbrowns back, so that the manager would realize there was a food mixup, and that he wouldn't get charged for the pancakes. A little while later, the manager was reviewing the orders, and in a loud voice wants to know what was going on with the food mixup. This made me feel uncomfortable and embarrassed for the waitress. I thought it was a really tacky thing to do. I would not go back to this particular Shari's.

I would call this place "the chain food restaurant with the qualities of a local, single, home-style food place" And I am referring particularly to this Sharis, which is my favorite. I do not know how healthy your life style and your eating habits are, but usually you can not find any natural or organic food or beef in any chain restaurants. If you ask about if they do, they might look at you as if you were crazy or something.. Did you know that Sharis only uses North West natural raised (with no hormone or antibiotics) Oregon beef in their hamburgers? That is a great deal especially if you think that prices are very reasonable. This Sharis has also the additional fact that managers and servers are very friendly, attentive and flexible with the menu, and the atmosphere really is warm and relaxed, perfect place to bring family and relatives, without having to prepare and cook dinner!! The only thing that is not great here is that if you order to go, you have to wait quite long time, and when the food arrives, is lukewarm!

Well to start off with the waitress was nice and accommodating, so she got a nice tip. It's not her fault she has to serve mediocre food. However, I wish I could say the food was good. I had the salmon before at the Walker location and it was delicious so I ordered it here, it was tasteless and dry! No amount of tartar sauce would make it palatable, My boyfriend likes his steak well done so I am not gonna try his but his stuffed hash browns were nice. His pancakes had a funny odd taste to us, almost like rancid oil (it was odd). My son's fries were cold too. The star is for the waitress who refilled drinks and was pleasant. Also restaurant manager the gal vacuumed under our table and hit our chairs while we were seated, that is really unnecessary the place was empty, it really should be done when people are not sitting down! Needless to say we wont be back,

I'm going for 4stars here..cause I'm a real risk taker. Took the 6 year old grand daughter out for brunch and a movie today. Gave her the choice on both. IHOP? Nope. Toms Pancakes? Nope. Biscuits ? nope..she wanted Sharis the perfect 6 year old dive I guess. Our service was excellent especially for 11:30 on a Sunday. I expected the place to be packed but we were seated right away. I asked for hot tea and it came super speedy..this is a pet peeve but my waitperson was right on top of it. Grand daughter has to check out every bathroom she finds and spent 15 minutes in there while I cooled my heels. Finally I sat down and a nice waitperson directed little miss to our table. She got a Mickey mouse pancake and grapes with whipped cream and I got potato pancakes which comes with a dollop of sour cream and cinnamon apple sauce, an egg and a very large sausage. It was a generous helping and I was unable to finish it all. And it tasted really good to. Sharis..you surprised me today. Thanks for the good pleasant meal with friendly staff to serve it. Kudos to thus corner restaurant for rising above mediocre. We shall return

Every Shari's I've been to around the area have been excellent. But this one I came in twice with a group of close friends. Absolutely rude waitress and plus we waited a long time to order and to get some bad food. Still tipped her. Another time another group of friends wanted me to meet them at this certain location. Thought. What the heck It was probably just a couple few bad nights. Came in sat down. The older gentlemens tone of voice was just pushy and sarcastic in a rude way towards us. Put everyone in a bad mood right away especially after waiting 20 minutes. All I ordered was fries never again will I go back or say anything great about this place to anyone. Go to the 185th Shari's. They're very friendly and awesome there! Management needs to do some extra training here.

We arrived at 7:00 on a Friday night, seated immediately by the Manager, water and extra lemon. It started out well. We sat for 25 minutes before our order was taken, they had 1 waitress for the entire left side of the restaurant, which was not nearly enough. It was a total of 45 minutes from the time we sat down till the food hit the table. That in my estimation is wayyy too long to sit at a Shari's for a somewhat average dinner. They have no idea what "medium" means on a steak (but it was juicy) The waitress could at least have made eye contact and said I will be right with you in the 25 minutes we were waiting for her to take our order. She made a point to ignore us totally. They even had the waitresses bussing the tables, like they did not have enough to do taking care of the customers they did have. Very disappointing, this Sharis is not run very well

Aaagh, Shari's. You...I don't even know... Hokay. Here's the thing - Shari's is like Denny's but more localized. So let's add +1 for that. But it's like Denny's. It gets busy, you wait for a bit. The service is a step above McMenamins - usually. It can be hit or miss but I've never really had a venemous "Let me tell you about THIS server" story with any Shari's person. Come here for breakfast. I mean really, only, that's their good time (and pies). I do enjoy their eggs benedict - and no, they're not the best BUT I am not trekking to PDX on a weekend just to stand in line for 2 hours for something better. Not gonna happen. SO it works for me due to my Beavertron locale. Also, I love the stuffed hashbrowns. I mean, could you make those any less healthy? Shari's managed to!

We have actually had good experiences at most Shari's, including this one. In fact, this Shari's is kind of the 'go to' restaurant chain for my busy family. However, our experience at the Beaverton Murray restaurant this evening was unpleasant enough for me to take our estimated $200 per month elsewhere. We've been in to this restaurant many times in a larger group, and been treated well. However, this time it was just me and my sister-in-law, who is clearly a soft butch lesbian in appearance. As I had just come from work, I was still in my skirt and jewelry, and it would be very easy to assume that we were a lesbian couple (we're not). We got to the restaurant a little after 5pm. The manager (kind of a chunky middle aged blond guy) was at the register, and greeted me when I walked in first. Then he saw her, and his demeanor changed immediately. We were walked to a table right next to the server station (with many other open tables in the restaurant), and deposited with no ceremony and precious little courtesy. He went into the server station, scraped a couple of glasses through the ice bin (unsanitary, incidentally), filled them with water, dropped them on the table, and walked away. Bad day? Maybe so, but not 2 minutes later, I heard him cheerily greeting and chatting up the next customers in the door. I looked over my shoulder, and lo - it was an older husband and wife. Oh. Then we sat. And sat. And sat. No server, no check in. Nothing. It was made quite clear that we were unwelcome. My SIL was embarrassed and uncomfortable. I told her we were leaving, and we did. We walked across the parking lot to the little McMenamin's there, and had a good meal and a good visit. There is no room in my world for bigots. I won't be going back to that Shari's.

Well its come to this. I started out with an amazing waitress. She was attentive and kind. She was sent home because it was slow. Snow had melted and so the kids are not coming in to warm up. I am fine with that. BUT..and its a very big but, If you are the server taking over for said waitress, check back to tables that are still here. My waitress left at 11am. It is now 230 pm and she has yet to actually look at me. I have tried to get her attention several times. I have even called out her name Candy. All I wanted was some iced tea. Yes I am spending a lot of time here. I was even going to get pie. I have to go somewhere while they fumigate our apartment building (thank you new neighbors for bringing the cooties). I finally got the managers attention and asked for tea. He seemed to act as if it was almost to much to ask for. He was fine with telling everyone in the back he is going to take some time to request some time off...nice brag for the staff too I am sure. Well this is probably my last visit here. Sorry to inconvenience you to do your jobs.

Shari's is always good to us. But ....my last experienced at shari's is little disappointed to us. They just two waitress in the afternoon, so we have to waited to serve food and bills...

I always enjoy coming here. It's right across the street from me, open 24 hours, and I've just never had a negative experience. The food and service is always good. The manager knows us and always comes out to say hello. Even during busy times, I've never waited longer than a few minutes for a booth. It's not the most amazing food I've ever had, but the entire experience always makes me happy!

  • Y M.

Eh...disappointing. I will give 3 stars only because they were really friendly. Service was polite but slow, and wait staff/cooks seemed to be having problems even though it wasn't terribly busy. My daughter's food came out at least 5 minutes before mine and they forgot a side dish she ordered. My nachos were ok...not great. Cheese not melted all the way and chips seemed stale. Guacamole was good. I ended up wishing we had just come for some dessert and eaten dinner elsewhere. Remodel looks nice. Won't go back except possibly for pie.

If I could give this place a -1 I would. Service was slow. Water takes awhile to get. After ordering our food instead of asking for our menus our waitress Meegan straight up grabbed it out of my lap instead of asking for it like most waitress/waiters do and I felt that it was very unprofessional. She messed up our tickets blamed my friends and I. No responsibility. She even gave my friend the "death glare" and her manager was right in front of her! To sum this up this waitress needs an attitude change. I Will NEVER be coming back to this location and will be telling my friends not to go here. And needless to say she did not get a tip from my friends or me. Want Sharis? Go to a different location. Thank you Meegan for your terrible customer service.

This Shari's has been newly remodeled and has a nice classic and modern look. I had never been to a Shari's before prior to my visit here. We were trying to find an IHOP and after circling as "tourists" for about 15 minutes trying to find one, I told my friend that Shari's probably had the same things. We were greeted at the door by a very friendly waitress, who's name I can't remember but her friendliness took being friendly to a new level (in a good way, not the pervy kinda way) She was supremely nice and very cordial to my friend's kids who at that point probably would have ate a horse if it was legal. I got cinnamon pecan caramel French toast. It was as good as it sounds. It was amazing! Everything was the perfect portion as well. A little bit of the French toast, a good serving of eggs and a similar portion of hash browns. It was just right. I was full but not overly full. My friend got the bacon, mushroom, pepper jack quiche platter which was also the perfect size and came with good fresh fruit. I will say overall, they have a lot of items on the menu and all of it looked really good so it can be hard to choose just one thing, but we managed. What really knocked my friend's socks off was that she found the French silk pie that she loves. Where we live, she was driving from DuPont to a restaurant called the Village Inn in Federal Way, WA which is about a 30-40 minute drive on a good day to get this pie, because she's a pie fiend like that. Now she only has to drive 10 minutes to Shari's to get the same pie. Thanks Shari's for simply making my friend's day. Actually, you made all our days with your delicious French toast and excellent cheery service.

It's a Shari's! Little nicer inside then others due to the remodel last year. Food is average, service can be gold but sometimes it can be slow. I always like the shakes. Overall 3 stars because nothing special but it does the job.

So first off I come here about every Saturday morning with my dad, it's a little tradition we have. We sat down ordered drinks/food, we reminded the waitress about our drinks after realizing we had been waiting about 35 minutes. We watched all the people around us order, eat and leave. After an hour of waiting and watching people who had been seated after us eat and leave I went to speak to the manager. This guy was sooo rude and I was more than polite, just asking how much longer it would be for our food? He literally rolled his eyes at me and rudely asked "where are you even sitting, who's your waiter?". Such poor customer service from none other than the manager. The food was subpar, over cooked omelette.... All bad :/

No stars for this place. First, got our water...with a little green bug swimming around in it. Told the waitress about it and didn't get any apology. Whatever just one strike. Next, ordered a med-rare steak (125ish degrees), received a well done that was completely black on the bottom side. Then I get hassled about picking up a house key my guest left. I called ahead and was assured they had it and put it under the register. Then get basically yelled at by some b wordy waitress. Happy Easter I guess.. P.S. No stars wasn't an option or I would have went with that.

Having to give 3 star rating is because of the service in general. The food was alright but not the best. My one word is, they do not know how to cook steak at all. It's known for its pie and just that. The service I give 2 stars And the milkshake and the pie is 1 star Overall the food was aight but not great due to not knowing how to cook the doness of the steak

Disappointing! The restaurant has just gone through a major remodel, and reopened a week ago, so I thought I'd give them another try. The remodel was excellent! The restaurant now feels much more modern, open, and inviting, and is much brighter than it used to be. Unfortunately the menu was not updated as well. I came in for breakfast and had the "Special", which consisted of two small pancakes, two eggs, and four slices of very thin cut bacon. The pancakes had a "gummy" consistency to them, as if they were slightly undercooked, and an odd flavor that didn't really say pancake to me; the flavor wasn't bad just odd, as if there were too much vanilla or something. The bacon is "Applewood Smoked" and tasted as if it had been soaked in bottled smoke flavor overnight prior to cooking. Some people may like thin sliced bacon, but I believe most like it thick cut, this bacon was sliced paper thin. The eggs were just fine and cooked, over-easy, just the way I like them. All of the above cost $9.95, which seemed a little high, to me, for two small pancakes with paper thin bacon. The coffee was fine and I like that they bring a small stainless steel coffee pot to the table so you can refill your our cup with hot coffee. The service is efficient and friendly, making me feel right at home. To sum up, good atmosphere, friendly and attentive service, but they still need to update the menu.

This place was awful! We arrived about 11:45 AM, just two of us and it took us about an hour to be seated, our order taken and food arrival. My eggs had obviously been done first and sat there crusting up, while the rest of the order was completed. It took us at least 20-30 minutes to order , and when I tried to get the attention of a waitress passing, she turned around and said "WHAT??" I don't know what happened to this place since their remodel, but they won't be in business long at this rate.

VERY DISAPPOINTED in the service!!! ... I must say that I have been going to Shari's for a few years now on my visits to Oregon and have always loved the food and the service, so when I moved to Beaverton and found out there was a Shari's just minutes from my house, I was overjoyed! My first visit was the very FIRST DAY they reopened after the remodel. Everything was beautiful inside. My party and I were seated fairly quickly, despite how busy the place was. However, our server took about 20 minutes to even speak to us and then brought us the wrong drink order when he finally came back (we asked for Strawberry Lemonade... They brought us Strawberry tea... Not even iced tea, just tea). Our server spent a great deal of time chatting up the "regulars" at the table right next to ours and ignoring us. When our order finally was taken, our server was rude and the food was way below the quality that I am used to at Shari's... My 2nd visit was no better! (Yes, I went back). My father was visiting from out of town and we had pretty much the same experience. Our server took our drink order and disappeared... Then helped every table around us until we complained to the manager. At least this time we got free pie out of the deal! ... I may visit Shari's again, but NEVER AGAIN at this location!!

I felt compelled to write a review after watching a terrible scene at shari's recently... We came to Shari's for some late night pie, it was midnight and the place was actually pretty busy! The restaurant has been remodeled and looks great inside. We ordered our food and were quickly disrupted by an unhappy table close to us... They were so incredibly loud about it we couldn't enjoy our experience.. We heard them getting the manager as it sounded like they had been waiting a while for their food. They then proceeded to completely tear up their waitress calling her a "F*$*%ing Bi*ch"... It was clear the waitress didn't feel very comfortable coming to their table anymore... The manager took over the table (telling them it was the kitchens fault and not the waitress) they continually went off about the waitress in front of her and everyone around. They ruined our dining experience and so overreacted. I am ALL about getting good service but sometimes you just have to give people a break.. Who knows if this waitress was having a bad night? going through a tough time? no need to call her horrible names. Im sure they got the free meal they wanted and left feeling like victims but i couldn't help but feel bad for the poor waitress working at SHARI'S... When she rang us up she told us she heard them name calling her and that they had a taken a long time to order.. I told her to not let it ruin her day! Working in the service industry can be tough sometimes!! Just reminder to give people a break sometimes. Kudos to the waitress Meegan who kept her cool and hopefully forgot about those people who probably just love to complain. Our dining experience was great!

1 star isn't low enough to for this shit hole of a restaurant. Service sucks, you wait 20 minutes for a cup of water, and then another 20 to get your order taken. Food is good, I will give this place that. Once it came to check out, the waitress was TERRIBLE!!!! She didn't split our check correctly, and proceeded to blame me for her incorrect bill splitting. I took a deep breath to calm myself from getting angry, which was followed by her giving me a death glare. If looks could kill I would be dead. She then did not give me the proper change (keeping five dollars I should of gotten in change), proceeded to not believe me, and then I had to do the math for her. The service was pathetic. Needless to say she got no tip from any of us. Thanks Meegan.....

Great service. Spring spinach omelette was fantastic. My family has built a strong rapport with many of the servers who look forward to seeing them. I recommend this restaurant to anyone in town that is looking for a weekly or alternating weekly breakfast spot.

Came in on Xmas day, around 2pm was busy as to be expected. We were seated in less than 5 minutes but the wait staff was clearly dazed & confused... Took 10-15 min to even get asked for our order, then another 30min of waiting on the food... It was fairly packed so we expected a wait, but not a single person come to check on us, kept going to every table around assisting but didn't bother letting us know how much longer, or if we wanted refills of water.. Horrible service we left before our food even came out. I heard other people asking to speak with management as well. What a shame.
