I was really excited to find out there was a vegan/vegetarian place that recently opened up in Beaverton. The first time I went, I didn't have a whole lot of time to spend there. I got a smoothie to go, and it really hit the spot. The second time I went, I ordered the walnut meat tacos...omg, so freaking good! It came with a lightly dressed salad that was so light and refreshing. Even though I was dining alone, I really enjoyed the coziness of the atmosphere and the neat artwork that adorned the walls. The staff was really friendly. I am definitely inviting friends to join me there soon. My only concern about that, is that there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of seating. I'm sure we will figure it out!

Visited for the first time today and was super happy to find this gem! Mom and pop place with good vibe but primarily the food was amazing! I'm not vegan or vegetarian but thought the menu was nice, plenty of good lunch options. I had a quesadilla w/salad and it was really fantastic. Great flavor, good volume of high quality, healthy food. Loved the fresh avocado, fresh cut salsa and other yummy stuff!! I'll be back!

FANTASTIC. Great mom and pop type feel, and the food leaves you satisfied without being overly stuffed and groggy. Haven't tried the tamales yet but the fact that they're only served once a week must mean the quality is amazing. Fresh food is always better.

Been here 3 times and every single experience has been wonderful! I like the cozy, artsy Cafe atmosphere, however that being said, I try not to take my 3 kids in when I go, since they can be loud and I feel it could be a nuisance for other diners because it's small and not a lot of seating. The food is really tasty and I love that my 2 y/o who has a dairy allergy can enjoy cashew/soy cheese and not even complain that it doesn't taste like cheese. I've had their quesadillas and grilled cheese and I'm in love with their blissed out smoothie! Its creamy and delicious and I love that we can eat here and not feel heavy and unhealthy when leaving. Their food tastes fresh and delicious such a great option for vegetarians and people with food allergies! The staff is very friendly too, makes you feel welcomed! We will be back!

We live in Bend but was in the Beaverton area for some days. Googled "organic food in Beaverton" and selected this place and we're so very happy we did. La Vida Veggie is awesome ... took us back to groovy places in bigger cities (think San Francisco, Seattle, etc). The staff was extremely helpful to us newbies. The place was jam-packed around 1 PM on this Monday afternoon. We sat in the couch and enjoyed the action while more and more people came in. My children had the grilled cheese sandwich with tortilla chips and salsa. I myself had the kale salad which had a welcome kick to it. We all had smoothies as our choice of beverage and they were equally great.

Super yummy food. Great portion sizes. Very friendly and helpful staff. We are still learning a whole lot about vegan eating. I like that they are vegan & vegetarian

La Vida Veggie seems to be the spiritual successor of the little coffee shop/cafe that had been inhabiting this spot for the past year. Having just opened August 30th, 2014 they are definitely still working out the kinks. But I hope that La Vida Veggie manages to last a lot, lot longer. First, do not expect a full service restaurant here. The space has always been a little tight to do anything too fancy, and La Vida definitely shows that. What it does have is fresh, mostly homemade, Vegan, Vegetarian, AND Raw options. Most items are simply made to reflect the limited kitchen they have. Others (such as the bakery items) are obviously prepared offsite and brought in. At this point the "Organic Latin Inspired Vegetarian and Vegan Food" tagline they are using does not seem to be well reflected in the food. They have Chips and Salsa, Walnut Meat tacos (in both Raw and Vegan options) and a Mushroom Ceviche, along with a daily special. All sound good, but I was expecting a bit more such as burrito, enchilada or quesadilla vegetarian/vegan choices on the menu. But that rather limited Latin selection is spaced out with several other great sounding options. From a vegan Spicy Alfredo Pasta, a Tempeh BLT, Kale Salad, Vegan Caesar Salad, grilled nut butter and jam, Seitien Cheesesteak, and a "weekly" Veggie Burger. In addition to these offerings, they also have a few juices and smoothy options, house made mozzarella, several bakery items (all dairy free, mostly vegan,) such as an Oatmeal Cake (which is absolutely delicious,) and best of all, a $5 lunch menu geared towards students at the local high school. This includes a grilled cheese sandwich, nut butter and jelly, hummus with pita and veggies, or a small serving of the daily special. Coupled with a small side salad AND a small smoothie. I almost wish I was a student! So, overall I'm impressed with what we have so far. The location is kind of a bad one, hidden off side streets as it is. But I think it has the potential to be a successful business and a place for community. I for one, will definitely be going back. At least for that Oatmeal Cake. I am also looking forward to seeing what the weekly special will bring us later on.

I never thought I'd find good vegetarian food in Beaverton. Everything was fresh and the staff was nice. It was nice to find a break from the overly sweet "Asian-inspired" dishes one finds at many vegetarian places.

This is a great place for a tasty vegetarian or vegan meal. The owner is a sweet young lady who gives off wonderful vibes. I've been here several times and each time I have something, it's excellent. Today I ordered the chickpea burger which is usually what I order-- it's so good and healthy but this time I ordered without bread. I asked what I could have in place of bread and she made me the most delicious salad w/ the chickpea burger broken up along w tangy spices, onions, guacamole, etc. It was ABSOLUTELY delicious and very satisfying. The plate was big enough to make me feel full but not overly so. The portion was just perfect. If you cannot eat bread or are on a no-bread diet, you can request that any sandwich be made into a salad. Trust me, you don't need that bread! Strong recommend!

Friendly healthy tasty vegetarian alternative We tried the pesto sandwiches before . Also the carrot cake was one of the best GF cakes we had . They have also Tea Chai Te tea that's one of the best teas in town .

So excited for La Vida Veggie being in Beaverton! Our first experience was great! The young girl (sorry I don't know her name) taking our order and making our food was VERY nice and has great customer service. We ordered the vegan cheesesteak and the vegan portobello artichoke grilled sandwich. I'm pretty sure that's not the name of the sandwich, but I'm pregnant so we'll just blame it on pregnancy brain, k? K. Both sandwiches were FANTASTIC. The bread on the cheesesteak was SO soft and delicious. I would have preferred a few more green bell peppers on the cheesesteak, but the bread takes center stage! YUMMY! I especially love that their side salads are half the plate AND it's a wonderful spring mix instead of just iceberg lettuce! We also ordered the Orange Cherry Cicle smoothie. Although it was good, it was too "orange-y" for me in my current pregnancy stage. I couldn't really taste any cherries either. It was still good, just not what I was expecting. We also ordered chips and salsa with a side of guacamole. The salsa is SO fresh and the cilantro really comes through. I LOVE THEIR SALSA! Their salsa was so good, next time I'll forego the guac and order double salsa! There seems to be a small lack of consistency with the prices. Some things are cheap, others are mid range, and yet others are a little more pricey. I think the owner has a good sense of wanting to offer healthy, affordable food so that may be why it seems like the items are priced specifically to the costs of the ingredients. With that being said, for everything we ordered it was pretty darn reasonable.

Loved this place!. Had a crunchy tostada that was wonderful. The owner was very nice and suggested some great vegan cookbooks. C ya soon!

I come here every weekend from all the way across town (E Portland) so you know I love it! The owner Heather is a great chef and just a genuine and super friendly person. I especially appreciate the "raw" food and wish she offered even more, but I'll gladly come back for the raw tostada and her amazing salads over and over. I am still dreaming about the jackfruit tacos I had. I need to stop thinking about them before I start drooling! This great offering is especially appreciated in Beaverton, which is a vegan food desert. I'm the kind of person who can always find SOMETHING at any restaurant, but it is so nice to walk into a warm, friendly atmosphere where I can order literally anything on the menu. Ahhh! My kids loved it too, by the way. My son had the quesidillas and my daughter had a portobella something that she absolutely raved about. Finally, I love that Heather and her staff have such a heart for the community. She has an extremely cool service project called, "Make Tamales Not War" where she makes tamales for the homeless, and she always offers a $5 lunch for students so that every kid can have a healthy lunch. In summary, it is very worth the drive and I hope that it will grow and flourish and mostly I hope to be livin' La Vida Veggie for a good long time!

This is a fabulous place to get delicious and fresh vegan fare. It's in an otherwise residential area, but worth seeking out for a visit. I had the pesto chickpea burger which was amazing!

This place is A-Ok! Please note this is a GOOD review and should not stop anyone from giving this "unique for the suburbs" restaurant a try. Things you need to know that make this place special: 1. Kombucha made in Tigard on tap 2. Creative dish ideas inspired by vegetables and composed of interesting spices and flavor profiles. 3. Walnut tacos were delicious! Came with a small side salad that had apples and sunflower seeds. 5. Student punch card for lunches, great idea since it is SO close to Beaverton High School. Things that made our experience less than perfect: 1. Out of a lot of ingredients to make a few of the dishes. This resulted in four of the five members of my group having the same meal. 2. Location and seating not the most enticing, not that it has to be five star, but it is not quite up to par with other restaurants in the area 3. Food came out separately even though we were in a group and a little bit of a tense interaction between staff while we were there that left us with an awkward feeling. General service issues that will be ironed out hopefully. Overall, the negatives I am attributing to only being open 3 months. I will definitely give this place another try in another 3-6 months because I think they are hitting on something that is definitely needed! Notes: Moderately quick. Healthy. Great juices. Street and side parking.

The Portland metro area features very few vegan/veggie restaurants west of the river. La Vida Veggie is a little veggie oasis located in the heart of Beaverton. The decor is colorful and very comfortable. Our group of 3 enjoyed a vegan taco, two big salads and a delicious sandwich and were thrilled. Everything was delicious and fresh. The staff was very friendly and our food was brought out very quickly. The vegan and GF red velvet cake was the perfect sweet finale to a great meal!

Amazing food -- not just for vegetarians! As a vegetarian, I was excited to try a new vegetarian restaurant in downtown Beaverton. I went with a friend and loved the portobello pesto sandwich which came with one of the freshest, most flavorful salads I have ever eaten. I went back a couple more times for lunches and have loved everything I have ordered (usually whatever the special of the day is). Then my husband (a carnivore) finally came with me...a little reluctantly, thinking it would be "super healthy plain vegetarian food." He was blown away with the flavor and now he's the one suggesting we go back time and again! Yes, it's healthy, yes it's vegetarian, but wow is the flavor spectacular!! Kudos to this creative menu and ongoing specials.

After reading the reviews about the walnut taco, I just had to have it and I was not disappointed. It was YUMMY! I haven't stopped thinking about it and plan to go back soon with more friends to share the joy. The size of the taco was perfect for me and just filling enough. The prices are fair and everyone who worked there was friendly and helpful. The whole place had a nice feeling to it - there is a book swap and a clothing swap and they offer $5 meals for high school students. This is most certainly a place I want to eat at and support.

Dropped by en route to visiting with my Mom, found the experience very positive. Met the owner, who was very gracious, and then got some raw zucchini noodles, which was a healthy and tasty dish (my dream come true). Overall, a very nice experience. Update.....have been here four times now and each time it's awesome healthy food served up by nice people. Really nice. Another update....I keep going back and it keeps being awesome! Tasty food that's healthy, served by super nice ladies. Likey.

My boyfriend and I have gone here a couple times now and every time is an absolute delight! The staff is super friendly and helpful, the inside is cozy and welcoming, and I love that it has outdoor seating on a quiet street. Very cute! The food is amazing as well. I'm now a huge fan of their pesto pasta, filling and delicious, great colors and textures. And their smoothies are to die for, sooooo yummy!! Will be going back, regularly!

Terrific, flavorful jackfruit (or walnut meat) tacos with side salad nicely dressed. $8 for a plentiful plate. Really enjoyed this lunch. Look forward to coming back soon. Space is smallish, with a few tables a single bar window chairs. Chalkboard area for kids to draw. (La Vida Veggie is also at Saturday's Beaverton Farmers Market.)

I got the portabello sandwich to go and was not impressed. It was advertised as having artichokes on it, which in reality translated into 1 leaf of 1 artichoke heart. The pesto tasted good.. there just wasnt much of it. I feel for $8 that there should be more substance to the sandwich. Also, the menu states that the sandwich comes with a side salad or chips. I wanted chips, but i wasnt asked at the time of ordering and spaced it.. so i got a salad. That was was not dressed. It would have been nice to have been asked what side I wanted from the lady who took my order.

The location is not the best, but La Vida Veggie is a great little food spot. Sandwiches, walnut tacos, tamales, desserts, juice, smoothies, coffee. Everything is vegan or vegetarian. The good: Food is tasty, healthy, vegan/vegetarian, reasonably priced, friendly service. Could improve upon: I wish there was a real salsa with some spice instead of just pico de gallo. The dishes are somewhat small for those with larger appetites. It would be cool if they had a big old filling burrito you could order - filled with rice, beans, spicy salsa, guacamole, and vegan cheese. I would not recommend the walnut tacos to-go because they get soggy fast, but they're a great dining in option.

I came in around 2:00 one day last week while waiting for my son to finish a class at school. I asked what would be fast and yummy. She told me the walnut meat tacos. She was right! They were absolutely delicious. I also had a piece of vegan/raw pumpkin pie that was fabulous. I was very happy with my lunch and will definitely be back!

The place was a delightful find. I'm a carnivore but felt like eating something healthy after passing by the Beaverton library. The portabella quesadilla was really good and was nicely paired with a salad. The service is good. The place is cute and quaint and they even have a shelve of books to enjoy there while you dine.

Came in on Monday the 6th. The lady at the register was texting while she was taking my order. I asked her a question about the drinks and she just said "what??", like I wasn't even there. I looked over the menu later and it looks like I may have been overcharged. Food was good but I was disappointed in the customer service.

Delicious veggie and vegan twist on classics like pasta, sandwiches and tacos, lots of gluten-free options available, even desserts! Great selection of loose leaf tea, juices and smoothies. All for reasonable prices and service with a smile! Come for the cozy setting and yummy, healthful food, stay to check out the artwork showcase from local kids and other artists on the wall.

This is a unique little cafe. I really like the no prescription needed juice. I was also impressed with the walnut tacos and the pesto portabello sandwich. I like the fact that the dishes come with a big salad that's pretty tasty.

I was excited to hear about a new vegan restaurant and finally made it there for lunch today. The service was great with super nice people that work there. I loved the atmosphere. Great music, cozy seating and especially the little nook with the pics, nick nacks and a pomegranate! It's nice to have Kombucha on tap, too. The food??? Exceptional! The food is displayed beautifully on the plate and tastes just as good as it looks! I had the veggie burger, my daughter had the walnut tacos. Both were deelish and filling. Nice big salad with good dressing, too. We even got a complimentary lemon/coconut cupcake to share. It was heavenly! I only wish we had a little more time to just hang out. Next time we will. Thank you! We WILL be back!!

We have been going to La Vida Veggie since its inception. We never, I mean NEVER, have been disappointed. We have several favorites on the menu and are always grateful for the fact that we have this awesome spot to fulfill our food dreams right here in Beaverton. Who knew?!!! My daughter's favorite is the cheesesteak sandwich and I personally LOVE the raw walnut tacos! The owner's heart is in a beautiful place that supports the health and well-being of her customers--- never mind the fact that she also gives back to the community with her Make Tamales, Not War movement--- and she displays the work of local artists in her restaurant. I am so appreciative of this beautiful restaurant in the heart of Beaverton, right around the corner from the Beaverton Farmer's Market and Beaverton City Library. I love knowing that I can order just about anything on the menu and it will taste great and be healthy for me as well! Big love to Heather the owner!

Very impressed with La Vida Veggie. They have a really creative and healthy menu, friendly service, and very reasonable prices. Their smoothies are fantastic (try the "Blissed Out" and several varieties of kombucha. Note that its a new restaurant and they do have occasional moments where they run out of a dish or need to pop home for a few minutes.

I'm not vegan but I enjoy vegan food. La Vida Veggie is awesome. The portions are a bit small but I'll take quality over quantity. Tons of parking and the staff is super friendly. I guess the one thing that I could recommend to the owner is to have a talk with this one lady there who seems to always bring her very young daughter to the restaurant. I'm no hater or anything, but it's a bit hard to enjoy your meal when that little girl is constantly whining and crying and being a bit bratty. That's the only reason why I don't come more often. I don't think I've ever been to La Vida Veggie without her being there. That said, I'm still giving this place a 5 star review based on food quality and staff friendliness. Keep up the good work.

Five Star because it is exactly as expected! Nice vegan and veggie friendly menu, lovely little home renovated to be a community restaurant, positive vibes, friendly staff and delicious food! I just stopped in for some red velvet cake on my birthday. First visit but after seeing the yummy salads at the table next to me, I can't wait to return for a full meal!!! Took a menu too as I noticed several people called in for pickup deliveries as well.

Tamale Tuesday is amazing. I have to come back and try everything on the menu. This place is amazing. The teas are delicious. The portions of everything were more than enough but impossible not to finish because of the tastiness!
