We just moved to Oregon and I had no idea where to get a good pizza. I asked the cable guy for a suggestion and he said Garlic Jim's. We were in the mood for something different, so we ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch. This pizza is topped with grilled chicken, bacon, cheddar & mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, red onions, and a ranch sauce. The flavor was good and it had a nice crust - crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside. I ordered my pie online and asked for delayed delivery. They showed up right on time and the pizza was still nice and hot. The price was great - they had a special for under $12 for any medium specialty pizza, plus a $2 delivery charge. This is unheard of in California. I'm used to paying at least $25 for pizza delivery and it's usually not very good. Needless to say, I was impressed. I wouldn't say this is the best pizza I've ever had, but it's pretty high on the list. We will definitely order again and try some of the other specialty pizzas on the menu.

pizza is always a great option when you just don't feel like cooking and this was one of those nights. I've heard good things about Garlic Jims but nothing really motivated me to try it before now. I looked at the menu online and was a bit overwhelmed by the menu (there are even different sauce options) so I decided on a simple margarita pizza, thin crust. called up the location closest to me. I just told the kind person on the phone that I'd pick up the pizza, even though delivery is available. yeah, I don't know why either, especially when the point of being lazy and ordering a pizza is to have it delivered. the pizza was ready and waiting when I arrived. the smell of garlic tempted me to open the box en route back home, but I resisted. opening the box, the pizza looked awfully small, like CPK personal size. granted it was a thin crust, but still. the medium was a perfect size for two but I was hoping for leftovers. it was definitely good, though nothing superior. it definitely wasn't worth $15. I recommend going if you have a coupon of some sort. next time, I'd also try something a little more substantial. maybe that will make a difference in my opinion.

I'm in Hillsboro this week for business and wanted to treat our new team to a decent lunch. They suggested trying garlic jim's but I don't think they knew this was a take out pizza place. I felt bad b/c I wanted somthing nicer like PF's but the service here was great. We got a 1/2 Combo 1/2 Hawaiian and it was just ehh. Nothing special..didn't even taste like garlic! I would rate it a 1 star but the gal behind the counter was sweet and answered all our questions. She even warned us about the coconut and almonds the add to the hawaiian!

I'm surprised to see so many poor reviews. We've ordered from here many times and have never been disappointed. Real gourmet ingredients like roasted garlic, feta, artichoke hearts, and sundried tomatoes make it the only pizza place where I don't feel like I'm getting ripped off paying $20 for one pie. If you want a pepperoni and cheese, go to Pizza Hut. If you want gourmet flavor, come to Garlic Jim's.

I love, love the Garlic Jim ribs. The Ultimate is also probably my favorite pie after The Sicilian. The food is always hot on delivery, something Pizzahut still fails at, and the drivers are pretty cool and friendly. It almost always arrives earlier then expected, and the smell. That garlicky crust, the heat from the box as you hold it in your hands, the wafting smell of the aforementioned crust and the toppings. Oh man..it's fat man heaven I say!

Ordered a pizza around 9:05 pm and it arrived around 10:10 pm after being told it would arrive in 35-45 minutes. The driver appeared at my door and was rude. I was in Beaverton on business. Not a good impression of Garlic Jim's or of Oregon hospitality. Pizza was average at best. Cold. F

You might hear that Garlic Jim's Pizza is bland, What they mean is,"My blood isn't so thick that I need to avoid salt now so where's all the salt?". The best thing I tried is the Hawaiian gourmet pizza. It's all the normal stuff, Canadian bacon and pineapple and there's what makes it particularly tasty, the coconut (toasted) and thinly sliced almonds (also toasted). Lastly the people that work there are so friendly! Maybe they get free pizza? I know that would make me chipper ;)

I'd had pizza from Garlic Jim's several years ago and thought it was great. So when we wanted pizza we found this one was close for delivery. I had bbq chicken pizza which was awesome, except it had green peppers on which I hate and will remember to order with out next time. Pepperoni was great and came with a lot on the pizza. Only bad part was delivery took well over an hour when they said 40-45 minutes. Now I can't wait to read the menu and figure out pizza for next time!

Disappointed =\ our first time trying this pizza place and it was a terrible experience. I'd like to say that the lady that took my order was very nice and pleasant to talk to, but she had said 40-45 mins... So at about 40 mins we watched the door since my baby was sleeping and my dogs like to bark at everything. At about an 1 hour and 5mins of no pizza I called to get an update. She said he got to our house and realized he forgot one of our pizzas so he had to go back... Then at 1 hour and 15 mins I called and let them know that this was a little frustrating. She then refunded our pizza. (That was nice). Then at 1 hour and 20 mins I called back and asked if he was still coming or if I should order something else. She said he should have been there by now and seemed confused why he wasn't there yet, but said he should still be coming... So at about an hour and 30 mins later our pizza arrived... Pizza delivery man didn't really care that he took a long time... Blamed it on Friday night (which I understand can be busy, but please let us know 45-1:30 then) as soon as he left we realized he forgot our ranch... Then eating the pizza the chicken bacon ranch was so doughy in the center it was hard to eat... Pepperoni was not bad. So all in all we will not be ordering from garlic jims and will not be recommending it to others.

Great pizza at a reasonable price. Try the Sicilian with extras sauce on the thin crust. Awesome!

This is my favorite pizza place as far as delivery goes. It appears to be on the pricier side but often time you can find some coupon or deal going on. I used the coupon for first time online order customer and got 50% off entire order. The quality of pizza really do feel gourmet. They have more than just regular ol' cheese and pepperoni. From Nutty Chipotle to Southwestern chicken. You can also customize from the sauce to the amount of every ingredients online. I can place the order during my last meeting of the day at work online and just swing by to pick up on the way home. They also have gluten free! :)

Amongst the best delivery pizzas I've tried-a bit expensive but well worth the extra couple of bucks. I'm adding to to West Side Excellence because it's the best pizza delivery in the area...except for the following The special thin crust Hawaiian adds almond slivers and coconut to canadian bacon and pineapple..BUT the servings of these toppings are MINIMAL in amount-which is why the 3 stars. I was especially happy with the BBQ chicken wings-so much better than any others I've had delivery of. If it weren't for the chintzy servings of toppings I'd give Garlic Jims 4 stars I had a coupon..nice..that took $4.00 off and delivery was the average $2.50.

Fiance and I wanted to grab a quick lunch. We were going to do two personal pizzas but the cashier was nice enough to suggest that we get a medium half and half and it'd be cheaper, which it was. We got thin crust and it was pretty good. I can't remember the name of the type of pizza I got but it had a bunch of different meats and she got I think the Greek or Mediterranean one or something like that. Either way, we both really enjoyed the pizza. It's a bit spendy but it's not that bad. You get what you pay for and no complaints here. I'd suggest giving it a try.

We ordered delivery in advance, and the driver was right on time with hot food. Hooray! I was able to order a side of ribs, and they were better than expected -- decent smoke, sauce, and tenderness -- but I haven't found serious ribs in the PDX zone so far and will keep looking. Hot wings: original Buffalo sauce was a plus (everyone goes crazy with non-B sauce lately and it rarely works for me) but they didn't add enough butter. The wings were fully cooked (HUGE plus) but the skin was soggy in a way that showed it had never been crispy. (HUGE foul). The side salad I ordered for lunch the next day had extremely generous portions of ham, salami, and pepperoni, but the pepperoni and salami both had a strange bologna-like consistency. A quarter cup of raw red onions was WAY too much. The greens were outstanding, though -- micro-greens, very fresh, totally clean. But the meat and onions mean I won't order it again. The pizza toppings were delicious - my husband's pie is spinach, red onion, and bacon, and it was delicious. Quality toppings, great proportions, just right on sauce and cheese as per our order. The problem? THE CRUST. Folks, this wasn't pizza crust. It was a big loaf of sweet bread. Just as a bagel is more than round bread, a pizza crust is more than dough. It wasn't chewy, it wasn't crusty, there was no char...it was like eating a pizza sandwich. We ordered the hand tossed. We might try again one day and order thin crust, but only if we're desperate or feeling lucky. But unless this was a strange fluke (ran out of pizza dough, had to order trenchers from the local Ren Faire) I can't recommend this joint for pizza.

From the 6-meat Hercules to their signature Garlicky gourmet chicken to the thick to the cracker thin crusts, from their Classic red, garlic basil, smokin' sweet BBQ, creamy ranch, to their basil pesto, zesty chipotle !!!), pesto or olive oil sauces, this pizza pie would make Ray Charles himself sing out loud across from the Great Beyond: "Hallellujah I love it so!"

Went here last night for an Ulitmate Jims pizza and some breadsticks that are flavoured cinnamon and sugar. the servers were nice, fast and efficient. the small waiting room was clean, and the pizza was pretty good. affordable too. I took out 2 stars for their so-called cinnamon sugar sticks. The taste was bland, there was no flavour at all. No cinnamon, or sugar. It looks like they used a small sized pizza dough, cut it up in slices, spread something on it that resembles brown sugar but doesn't taste like it and baked it. Waste of almost 5 buckaroos. If you're hankering breadsticks with your pizza, do NOT get the cinnamon sugar, however enticing the name of it, it's a lie. Trust me, my 5 bucks is in the trash right now, i wish i just bought an ice cream or something else.

The pizza was okay but the service there was exceptional. The guys there were really laid back and friendly. I think he even wore sunglasses. Just like in the movies, the friendly pizza guy offering up heaping slices of pie and wisdom. It's a take out place. I was in a pretty crummy mood but these guys lightened it up by I guess just being themselves. I remember thinking to myself, they need a positive review so here it is. But not only that the pizzas are big and are at a good price. Sometimes you go out to get food just for that bit of human interaction and it's always lame if it turns out bad. Good service is what I think most people are really paying for.

When I order pizza from chains I order it on the "cracker crust" due to most places having greasy or disgusting crusts.... this place... oh gods where do I begin.... the crust are great I order the reg or the thin.... they have unique flavor profiles. I was first introduced to them and fell in love with the caramelized little cloves of garlic on the pizza.... little nuggets of gooey garlic bursting in your mouth as you eat. The pizza is a touch bit more expensive than your national chain..... but a touch more expensive for a hundred times better quality of food. The people when ordering are always helpful and will explain any pizza in detail if trying to decide between pies... I have become addicted. I always get it delivered and they are helpful, fast and well THE PIZZA IS STILL STEAMING HOT! not luke warm. look for coupons in the mail or online and it makes it the same price if not cheaper than the national chains.... for a gourmet taste please try these guys out!

We tried this place because we got coupons in the clipper and are new to the neighborhood. GREAT PIZZA we have only had pizza delivered but delivery is quick and the pizza is hot. They seem to put out monthly coupons which is great. We ordered the boneless wings once and they were OK more like chicken nuggets with hot sauce on the side. A good solid 4 stars.

I was pretty surprised to see this local favorite get so many poor reviews! The Jim's Gourmet Garlic pizza is a favorite of ours for its uniqueness. Everyone I know in this area orders pretty much exclusively from here because it is one of the best pizza places here! Their pizza may cost a touch more but this is not greasy cardboard with a piece of pepperoni. They use quality fresh ingredients. They are a touch evil for carrying Ben and Jerry's Mint Cookie ice cream which happens to be my favorite but they make a damned good pizza. I also love their cheesy bread sticks with their garlic butter sauce or marinara. We order for delivery from here and have never been disappointed with their service or food quality!

Overpriced mediocre pizza. $2.00 delivery charge on a "large" pizza - more like a medium size - brought it to over $20.00 for a combo. Toppings were unremarkable pepperoni and sausage and bland cheese. Sauce tasted canned.

I ordered their largest sized pizza, and it wasn't bad. It was a little on the expensive side but sounded delicious on the menu. Only problem was that the crust was about 2.5". It cost several dollars extra to get a slightly bigger pizza, but after finishing the toppings part of a slice it felt like I had a small loaf of French bread in my hand. Pizzicato is actually much cheaper because their sauce and toppings go near the crust, so when I want a nice pizza I'll go there.
