I'm not saying Carl is the most high class guy I know, but he makes some decent food. He changed his regular fries (they're not as thick), but I still love him. People don't like the idea of American fast food + Mexican fast food, but I can assure you that while the border to the south exists, the foods have both crossed a line...of fast food super yumminess. The burger I had was the best I've had at any of Carl's joints. It wasn't charred. It wasn't sloppy. I don't do sloppy. Salsa bar was very clean. Staff was friendly. Service was speedy. So this isn't a ritzy place, but it exceeded my expectations. More than once. BOOM!

This place burned my buns, literally. it would normally be a throwaway, but I paid $6.09 for the Western bacon "Thickburger" so I just tossed the bun and ate the inside... which was a little burned tasting due to the contact with the blackened buns. The whole $6 burger name is finally defunct, because some of the $6 burger offerings are now more than $6. Carls and the "Green Burrito" concept should offer "jump the shark" tacos because they seem to be heading downhill...

Normally these combo chains really don't work. The staff can't seem to excel at either one of the chains and it all ends up sucking. Could this place be the exception? I got a fairly good grilled chicken salad here today. Also they got our to go order exactly right which was terrific. Has anyone noticed their funky flavors in milkshakes lately? I mean a Captain Crunch milkshake, are the stoners taking over or what? Anyway even though this place is shamelessly marketed toward 20-year-old guys with cast iron stomachs (who don't check their cholesterol levels) sometimes they make a good salad. Also I like the grilled chicken sandwich with barbeque sauce on the whole-wheat bun.

First time actually eating here at Carl's Jr. and surprisingly, I really liked the six dollar burger seeing that I had little to no expectations going in. . . LOL The burger was good, but charging me to use my debit card without telling me was a bust! $0.75 ? I could have easily used my credit card if they had told me. Boo them!!!

I ate at Carl's Jr. Today for the first time in a long time. I was pleasantly surprised. I had the Santa Fe chicken sandwich and it was very good. It makes me want to go back again for another one. They also had quite a good selection of low cal drinks, so it has my vote for better than average fast food.

When you order here make sure that you TRIPLE check everything you "Ordered" once it gets in the bag. My husband stopped in there tonight to get some late dinner and Andy G (listed on the receipt) failed to produce on good customer service. He clearly did not listen to when my husband was ordering, which unfortunately we did not notice until he was already home with the food. My husband asked for a completely different burger than what he got, I asked (and we paid) for guacamole to be added to my burger, and when I pulled it out it was not on my burger. Andy also must not have been listening when my husband ordered chicken strips for our son (i was on the phone with my husband while he was ordering too). Thank goodness I had some chicken nuggets my son could quickly munch on. The only thing that they got right was the order of sweet potato fries, onion rings, and a medium drink! The "meal" was not executed at all! The manager needs to re-evaluate the quality of his employees! I know fast food is fast food, but sometimes working families like mine like to have a quick meal with the hopes that each order is made on-point. This is not the first time staff at a Carl's Jr has performed poorly! With such a strong connection to the west coast, this store is giving the rest of the brand a poor image!

Damn you Carl's Jr. for changing your fries. You have disrupted the holy trinity of combo meals. I boycott you until you make them taste right. OK I went last Thursday because I love the Western Cheeseburger. But the fries were still gross.
