the place itself is rather nice, the atmosphere is fine...we had the veal marsala which was awesome (!) and the ziti which I really didn't like: it had an anise flavor to it, which I hate - wish they'd mention it in the menu or something...but they couldn't know I hate it (though it a taste a lot of people dislike!). the dessert was really disappointing - we had the profiteroles - I had better desserts at McDonald's...but all in all it's a nice place.

Good food and good service. We had Champagne salad (spinach salad with strawberry and walnut - with Champagne vinagrette) and Della casa pasta (creamy tomato sauce pasta with artichoke and white mushroom). Artichokes weren't all cooked evenly but otherwise good.

Wow three and a half stars? Really? Service prompt and efficient. Food served quickly and hot. Seasoned correctly no salt and pepper necessary. I ordered shrimp scampi with creamy pesto and pine nuts. A half was plenty. I got a side salad and two of their meatballs that were served with marinara on the side. I sat at the bar and the seating was quiet and comfortable. Served with warm forcasia bread. A nice red wine at less than 6 bucks complimented the meal. What is not to like here? 5 stars.

Went here for lunch, was pretty impressed. There was lots of outdoor seating which is great in the summer and the service was outstanding. Sometimes you get forgotten about if there isn't many other people sitting outside, but we received very prompt refills on drinks and their delicious bread as soon as something was finished. Their wait staff was super friendly and professional as well. About the food... I can't give enough compliments. It's a dollar or two pricier than Olive Garden but I found the quality to be far superior. I had the Chicken Parmesan(Parmagiana?) and it was amazing. It's my favorite dish, I've had it everywhere, and this place is right up there with the best. Someone I was with had the Cioppino soup, which I find to be a more difficult dish to get right, but they nailed it. The spaghetti Bolognese and their burgers are also top notch. I don't understand the bad reviews for this place. It's easily better quality Italian than Olive Garden or Spaghetti Warehouse, just a couple dollars more expensive. The food is so good for a chain restaurant that I'd call it the Ruths-Chris of Italian. Whoever thinks Olive Garden or Spaghetti Warehouse are as good should just go to those as they must not be able to recognize quality Italian food. Not saying those places are bad or anything, just not as good as Buggati's. It's like comparing Chipotle to Juan Colorado or Mazatlán, they're all chains, but not created equal. I was surprised that they didn't have Minestrone soup though, seems like an Italian restaurant staple to me.

Not really Italian tastes. Came here on lunch and ordered spaghetti. The meatballs didn't match with the sauces. (Don't judge me when I have been to many Italian restaurants). The positive thing was the noodles were cooked rightly- neither too soft nor hard. The services were ok. Just checked on the customers one time while I was there. I will come back but I'm definitely gonna order something else :)

I have been here a few times with my family, It is a good place to go with a group, The food is good, there is plenty of variety for everyone to find something they want. I think the Focaccia bread with olive oil, garlic, salt etc that comes out before you order is the best thing I have eaten there. Last time I had the penne pasta with alfredo sauce and grilled chicken, The chicken was excellent, flavorful and delicious. The pasta alfredo was fairly bland. My dad seemed happy with his chicken parmesan my mom not so much. The Portions seemed about right I had a half portion of the pasta and left full.

Three years later, my review is pretty much the same. Food is ok. Not the best, but not the worse. I had the three cheese tortellini with pesto sauce (same as before) and a side salad. I did not like the fact that mushrooms come standard on the salad and the finely chopped parsley stems they toss in there just made the whole salad uneatable. the pasta was decent though. $8.50 for a small bowl. You are given bread and some garlic dipping sauce that was little too greasy. They have an outdoor patio, but I sat inside. over all an "ok" place but nothing to write home about.

First, let me say that I enjoy their happy hour. Many of their entrees are hit and miss, but the happy hour pizza and salad are very good. The calamari is so-so. I advised my friend that portions are large, so we might want to consider sharing the pizza and each order a salad. Not knowing their "rule" that all happy hour menu items must be consumed on the premises, we both figured that we were hungry and would take home any leftovers. When we went to order, the server/bartender rather arrogantly said "I think you should each order a salad and split the pizza." I said we were both hungry, and would take home any leftovers. This is when we both learned of their "rule" about leftovers. He did say to not worry about it, it was okay. But I've never been to a restaurant where the server tells you what he thinks you should order...And if it's useful feedback to the restaurant manager, this "rule" is extremely tacky. It's even posted on the website's happy hour menu...Disappointing. It takes away from the desire to return to Bugatti's.

Some solid choices, pricing is somewhat more palatable for dinner than for lunch. Oddly, the best things on the lunch menu in my opinion are the burgers. I like the blues burger or the regular cheeseburger - nice, thick hand-formed patties and fresh, chewy buns. The focaccia bread and salty, garlicky olive oil is super yum, but too much of that followed by pasta = carb coma. Don't do it if you are going back to work after lunch, pro tip. Sadly, the one thing I can't recommend is what would usually be my favorite: mac & cheese. Occasionally it's spot on, but often it is less cheese sauce and more just melted cheese on pasta so it's a stringy, greasy mess. I've had it enough to know I'm not going to try again. For a burger craving though, I often head to Bugatti's.

**3.5 STARS** Bugatti's is a local, chain, Italian restaurant that serves home made dishes at decent prices. PERKS: *HH food and drinks! (you can't go wrong with any of their pastas or pizzas) *Great for groups (make rezzies) *Full bar (with a couple of televisions to watch the latest sports game) *Ample parking lot shared with strip mall *Great service (polite people and quick service!) DIRTS: *Not quite "authentic" menu, can be a bit "Americanized" *Menu changes here and there so you won't always come back to your personal favorites Nonetheless, I stop by here once in a while to grab some grub to go, or if I want to eat local and not venture too far - this would be a place to go! But I must admit, most of my visits here were for happy hour *winks* =) PDX 30 Day Yelp Challenge #25 of 30

My wife and I went to Bugatti's for the first time the other day. We went for lunch and were not disappointed! The breadsticks w/ oil came out right away and those tastes great! We both did half servings of the 'build your own pasta'. I had fettucini Alfredo with chicken and she had spaghetti bolognese with meatballs. My Alfredo sauce was heavy, creamy and delicious, while the chicken was moist and tender, while having just a little char on the outside. The spaghetti and bolognese sauce were both good, but the two huge meatballs were AWESOME and really made the difference. It was clear that they were not frozen store bought meatballs. Our salads were OK...not bad, but nothing to write home about. My strawberry lemonade was the same, as was the service: nothing wrong with it, just not outstanding. Bugatti's may have had the best Italian food I've had outside of Italy. And with moderate prices, I'd definitely go again.

My wife and I enjoy Bugatti's and always enjoy the food and our time here. Today, we stopped here for a late afternoon celebration to enjoy their happy hour. And afterwards, we were sorry we did. Which surprised us. We ordered from the happy hour menu and got calamari, Italian chicken wings and the 1/2 pound burger. The calamari was more onion rings than seafood, and at that, not very tasty. The Italian wings were OK, but a little dry and the ranch dressing was runny. The burger was OK, but we requested it cooked medium, yet there was no pink in the meat. On our way home, we felt like we just ate a bunch of greasy fried food - which we did - but did not expect it to be that way here. The gentleman sitting next to us, ordered the Caesar salad and spaghetti with meatball - which looked much much better. So it seems like we just made bad choices. But from a place we fully enjoy, this experience surprised us.

I do not recommend the fried calamari. Over cooked and chewy. I also do not recommend the minestrone soup. It's just a thick tomato bisque with a few veggies thrown in. Absolutely nothing like the real Italian minestrone I used to get at Lido's on 10th & Belmont. Geeze, I think Progresso in the can beats Bugatti's. Not kidding What is good though is their baked ziti. Penne pasta, ground beef & sausage, ricotta, green pepper and onion in marinara sauce covered with mozzarella and baked. Turkey club is a big filling sandwich, quality ingredients, good bread. Burgers are craft made, formed not Sysco burger, quality lettuce, tomato and red onion. But here is my beef with Bugatti's. Much too expensive for what you get. Example: Pasta dishes are $14, half is $12. ...Wait a cotton pickin minute here! Half should be $7 or maybe at the most $8 dontcha think? Our party of 5 had the calamari app, Baked ziti, soup & half salad, turkey club, Della casa and classic cheese burger, 2 beers, 2 sodas and a water. Total, $86 dollars!!! an even C-note with tip. Go there alone or Dutch treat for lunch, or if trying to impress a date bring a pocket load of cash or plastic so you can pay it off by the month. But I just didn't think it was good enough to squander a Franklin for.

This is our favorite Saturday afternoon happy hour. The offerings are great and you can watch a game from the bar booths. The bartender and wait staff are quick and friendly. The food is super. Good portions and really tasty Italian offerings

A local chain - but if you're not from the area - it could might as well be fine dining! Wasn't too hungry when I cam here - so only ordered a salad, and split a pizza with a colleague. The salad I ordered was the Pistachio Salad, with Grilled Chicken. This actually pretty good - chicken was well cooked, and the greens were fresh, and had good toppings that included Pistachio, Pickled onions, and feta (i think). The pizza we ordered was average - not a fan of the doughyness of the pizza - but I'm usually this way as i'm from Jersey. Ordered the BBQ chicken pizza which was probably at parity with a Mariott Courtyard pizza.

I got bad news today. It took the joy out of the day, and I lost all interest in the idea of grocery shopping and then cooking. Today's news called for comfort- which I can always get from pasta and wine. Luckily, we live super close to Bugatti's, and always seem to leave feeling happy. Food tonight was great- I had a salad and the cappellini. My companions had the ravioli and the house fettucine. Everything tasted good and was served at the right temperature. Service started really shaky (long wait to be acknowledged and seated, longer wait for beverages and bread), but the rest of the meal was fine- lots of beverage refills and check-ins. The foccacia was a little overdone. Even with those minor issues, we'll be back, because I can only go so long between huge bowls of tasty pasta.

Stopped for lunch after a rough final. The hostess greeted me right away & was very friendly. She sat me immediately while I waited for the rest of my group. I thought lunch would be busier but it was slow which was nice. Or maybe the lunch rush was already over. Nobody wants to deal with the table that has the baby, but our server was not swayed & actually brought her a straw to play with as well as her own cup. The food came in decent time, except one plate missed the order. Our server explained that the order tape ran out so the kitchen didn't get her order. It wasn't that big of a deal, but our food did get cold since we didn't want to eat food without her. The overall experience was good & I would recommend this to someone who wants a delicious meal.

short version: service was far worse than Applebees despite the "home Italian" garbage all over the place, and food had no flavor and was way over priced (Olive Garden comparison below). You're better off at Outback Steak House or some other typically horrible but in some ways delightful chain. Service: Showed up at 4pm for Valentines Day celebration. Seated promptly. Watched a server walk by us for 15 minutes, who then said "this isn't my section" even though he was taking care of both tables on either side of us. Asked for a manager who just replied "that sucks" and sent someone over, who never told us his name and hurriedly dropped things off at our table with no "hello" or "here you go" or "how is it?" He did offer us a free dessert. Food quality: Let me put it this way. I got the Chicken Parm. When a woman dropped our food off (not our server), she asked if I'd like parmesan. I said "definitely." She plopped a plastic bottle of Kraft parmesan powder on the table. Folks, at least Olive Garden shreds their cheap parmesan fresh at your table. Turns out, like the parmesan powder, the dish didn't taste like anything besides fried chicken and ragu. For "all fresh ingredients," I was sadly disappointed. that Chicken cutlet, ragu, and rubber noodles cost me around $16. Not once during the entire visit did the manager come by to ask if your experience was improving, not once did anyone recognize anything was wrong, and not once did anyone ask how our food tasted. The table across from us also complained about service, and then they messed up their order. I would stay away from this place at all costs -- seems like it's gone down hill since the last reviews.

I try hard not to post bad reviews but our service tonight was terrible. Waiter just wanted to go home and slapped food on the table as he ran by. Here's a tip for the managers: hosing down the kitchen floor in plain sight of your patrons does not enhance the ambiance. Food was very good but they ruined our experience in their rush to leave at the end of the night.

I've been here twice. Its over priced and the pasta is horrible!! Its a pasta place... That doesn't know how to make pasta. The first time I went there and made my own pasta.. A normal classic chicken fettuccine and it had no flavor., Second time I went, I was really really hungry!! Tried a half portion? For $10 plus tip. which was really small.. The service was great.. But I left there pretty pissed off... I wished that I would've went somewhere else. I could have gotten a full portion meal that actually tastes like something... Those that gave 5 stars, idk what they're eating but its probably not pasta! Im never going back there again.

Wow. What a great find! I'm also happy to note we found a second location! Killer Italian food. Fresh calamari, with shaved then deep fried lemon! What a great idea! All the food is fresh. Service, great. Friendly, never had an empty glass or a want while here. Caesar salad was super tasty. Fresh meatball sandwich. And the fresh made creme brûlée? OMG melt in your mouth! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for good Italian. Worth a stop for lunch or dinner!

The food here is pretty good. I tried to order over the phone for pick up one time and was placed on hold until I hung up 11 minutes later when I assume they forgot they placed me on hold. Other than that one experience it's been great, quality service and food. The salads are really good!

I ordered a half spaghetti with bolognese and I was not impressed, the meat tasted gritty and left a bad after taste. Didn't even finish the half order of spaghetti. Staff was friendly. My husband got the chicken Parmesan and that was good but not amazing. Not in a rush to come back.

The lasagna rocked. Good marinara sauce with generous amount of meat. Loved it. My father ordered ravioli...that was good too. For an Italian restaurant their portion size is good...you would need a box! The ambience is really nice...great place for a date and yet for a birthday party too. The outside seating is really nice esp during the evenings. A must go in Hillsboro.

This is my favorite restaurant! Everything I've ever had I've loved. From pasta to hamburgers it's all good. My favorite is the ravioli. Focaccia bread and dipping oil comes for no charge. It's delicious!

I really like this place. I always go during odd times because I get their best service. The food is always on point. The free bread is great with the olive oil. My favorite to get is pesto angel hair with steak half size pasta. Their pizza is pretty good to. It's a good place to go to after your shopping trip at The Streets if you craving Italian food.

Outrageously good Cioppino, nice selection of wine by the glass. I was in town by myself for a reunion so I decided to sit at the bar. The bartender and manager were both very helpful and friendly. My only regret is not returning the next day for another round of Cioppino.

Husband and princess had soccer last night. Our refrigerator died. What to do for dinner? Lasagna, said husband. Noodles, said the Soccer Princess. Ok.Bugatt's it is, I said. It wasn't too busy when we got there. Our server, Tyler, was like the Bionic Server. Zip zip zip. He would ask a question, not wait for the whole answer, and rush away to fetch things for us. Zoom Zoom Zoom. Midsentence we were, a lot of the time. At the end, we had to laugh, because it was .... annoying, actually. This made him shake his head at US. Huh? Turns out the lasagna choices didn't do it for hubby. He doesnt' eat beef ( mad cow concerns) and the vegetable lasagna has his three unfavoite things in it, i.e. zucchini, carrots, and mushrooms. You know, vegetables. He was hoping for cheese lasagna, but there isn't one. Go figure. We had to ask for water for our kid three times before it showed up.He kept saying "ok" and zipping off, disappearing into the ether each time. I have no idea where he went. Husband thinks he was leaning up against a wall somewhere, playing jazz on a saxophone between zooming sessions.Husband has a vivid imagination. Our food was very slow to arrive, the only slow thing of the night. When we finally asked him about it, well halfway asked him, he zipped to the ktichen and then ta dah! Zipped back with our food. Kinda lukewarm food. I think it had been sitting there for a while. Princess didn't care, she likes her noodles there just fine, even cold the next day. Husband was satisfied with his room temperature pesto noodles and skewered grilled shrimp. He remembered mid pasta that he was going to add a salad, but the guy had whisked away the menus so fast he lost his bearings and forgot. Usually, they ask you, "would you like to add a salad?" but not Tyler, oh no. Busy bee. I had soup. It wasn't what I expected. I thought I ordered vegetable soup, when I asked the server what it was he zipped out two responses, I said vegetable... when it arrived it was creamy vegetable with some chicken in it, at least, I think it was chicken... it tasted good, although again, it was not piping hot.I dunked foccacia in it and dealt. It was not expensive. Tyler did not zoom by and offer us more bread. He did zip in and drop off another iced tea for husband, spilling some on the plate and the table as he did so. Too fast. I did not get another iced tea. Bugatti's has lost some of it's luster for us, so we're down to three stars. It's not a bad choice, but I think we have maybe grown weary of some of the unevenness. That, and all that zooming made us tired. Sheesh.

The lasagna was not lasagna, it was the guts of lasagna mixed in the penne pasta. Lasagna is a layered dish.

The breadsticks are pretty dang good. The food was alright, but the ranch dressing tastes like mayo. Not a mayo fan myself. Overall, ok for a quick social meal, but I've definitely had better food.

Bottom Line at the Top: Classy bar area with excellent food choices at decent prices. Happy hour on Sundays lasts all day long in the bar, so a friend and I decided to check it out since she has recently moved into the area. I have been to two of the other locations so I figured the quality should last to this one. I had misjudged on the map when I first looked at the location thinking it was inside the Streets of Tanasbourne but it turned out to be one block further west on Cornell in a small strip mall. We were greeted quickly and shown a table at 4:30pm with a good amount of attention by the person behind the bar. The booth was set for four but they were more then happy to set us up in it before the dinner rush. After receiving the drinks and placing an order we received the delicious bread and olive oil that comes gratis with dining there. Thick strips of a soft Italian style bread like panini but not as chewy made for quick quelling of a hungry stomach. Sharing the Champagne Salad was our first course and the dressing was perfect, creating a great taste between the walnut, strawberry, and spinach. The main dish was the 1/2 pound burger which turned out just as we ordered and was meaty and juicy just like a good burger should be with a healthy amount of greens in the "stack". To finish off we had the one dessert from the HH menu and it was just the right size to top off the meal. Price range for items currently on special is between $3.50 and $6 each While sitting there we noticed may people getting "to go" orders and the restaurant filled up quickly with dinner patrons as 6pm came along. This location keeps up with the well deserved reputation of Bugatti's.

We waited for a booth in the bar for 25 min and were told to sit at the bar and eat and when a booth opens they would move us.. We sit at the bar and then the same Waiter sits another couple at the booth. Female bartender was very rude about it to us as well.. How does a restaurant keep customers..

We were skulking around for a HH close by and decided to try Buggati's. I've driven by this place like, bajillion times, but never think about it when it comes to dinner options for whatever reason. The HH menu is varied enough to please most people - there's salads, pizza, burgers & dips/bread. I actually had a hard time cause quite a few options sounded pretty good. I went with the Caesar Salad and fried artichokes and my boy copied me on the salad & got himself some garlic bread. The bartender let us know we'd be getting complimentary bread & oil - sweet! - so we didn't double order on the breadstuffs. She mentioned we could add some mozzarella on the garlic bread for a mere 50 cents more. Cheese? Yes please. They don't have an extensive tap selection but Terminal Gravity IPA? Yeah that's right up our alley - and $1 off pints! The Caesars were good and simple. The garlic bread with the added cheese?! Yum! I wasn't totally stoked with the fried artichoke, would have preferred it a bit less mushy but it wasn't a buzzkill by any means. The service was good - our bartender is clearly customer focused and has regulars that love her. We'll be back for HH soon.

Today was my first visit to Bugatti's, why I have not been there before I have no idea! I give them a solid 3.5 stars, they have a fairly varied menu with the emphasis on Pasta. Bean and Vegetable Soup, very tasty but super salty and I love salt Baked Ziti with Sausage and Beef, very good, the sauce was a bit on the sweet side and I don't really understand the need for Green Bell Peppers? My husband always orders this dish apparently. I chose the Daily Special which was Cod Fish and Chips. The Fish was a bit on the greasy side but well cooked with a Tempura like batter and the fish was flaky and tender. The Fish or the Tartar Sauce needs some flavor tho, both are a bit bland. The hand cut fries were soft, greasy and dark brown. Not a fan. The Focaccia bread and dipping Oil was out of this world, next time I will order a cup of soup and gorge myself on bread dipped in that liquid gold! They were not that busy, and I was not impressed with the service, we got our Soup before our Water so we asked the Dude who delivered our soup to please bring us our water, he never did but our Waitress did a few minutes later. I am not a fan of one person taking my order and others delivering the food, no sense of continuity or consistency, at least in my book. It is a beautifully decorated space, and quiet enough to have a private conversation with ones hunky husband about plans for later! Now that I know what they are about I will be back!

Stopped for dinner with a colleague. Ordered house Pinot, soup and pasta. My fellow diner ended up with a dirty water glass. Large amount of pink residue stuck inside of the glass. Yuck. Great start! Wine was fine. Gamberetti was actually quite good. Light and not too salty. Pros: offers half portions. Main course was not salty which is plus. Cons: mediocre service. Dirty glass. Would try again but will watch for cleanliness in utensil. Enjoy.

This is the go-to restaurant whenever: a) I want a decent gourmet cheeseburger in Hillsboro (and I've been to almost everywhere they serve cheeseburgers in HIllsboro... you could say I'm a cheeseburger nut.) b) When we have family come to town and don't wish to cook. They have a great menu, with a lot of options (even kids) where everyone ordering will be satisfied. c) When we don't want to regret going out to eat. I have swayed from the cheeseburger a few times (and my wife always loves trying something different, so I've had bites of most everything on the menu), and everything I've tried has been awesome. The one time my fries came out soggy, their staff fixed it without any hesitation. d) Whenever we want to take the kids out to eat. They're family friendly. Even my kids love coming here as they find their food super tasty and the staff are very welcoming (although I miss the days we could come into the bar area for some adult time!). e) Whenever we want to eat at a reasonable cost... their happy hour menu is excellent, and can be enjoyed at their bar/bar-booth seating and their patio. Their website even lists all of their menus (with pricing). The staff are friendly (Topher and Danielle are wonderful bartenders), drinks are tasty (and they have a small but good selection of rotating beers) and they have great food (and when you're in Hillsboro, you don't really have that much in the way of options). They even have a partition for semi-private group events (large birthdays and other social gatherings work wonderfully here and they even have a banquet menu). Recommendations: Spinach artichoke dip appetizer, Mac's Tillamook cheeseburger, Champagne salad. But seriously, everything I've had has been tasty and you won't regret it. And now I'm hungry... thanks a lot!

I hate giving bad reviews but this one is a must because I don't want the restaurant to repeat this. What was good: Excellent service, lovely staff and a comfortable atmosphere, definitely good for families. The bread served as an appetizer was pretty good. Those 2 stars are for this. Here comes the bad part. I ordered Chicken Parmesan, which should be easy to make and is not the most complex Italian dish. The quality of the food was simply down low. The chicken breast was thick or I should say HUGE and felt raw and plastic like. The mix of flavors and herbs was tempting enough to convince me ignore the texture of the chicken however within a few hours I ended up with a severe headache, vomiting and slight fever(not exaggerating). And this was the result of eating only half the dish. Didn't even bother to take the rest to go. My Husband ordered Gamberetti, and said it was OK. Not sure if I will go there again, atleast not for a meat dish based on the quality of food.

Not super special but I ate it. Lots of it. Too much of it. They didn't judge me when I ordered a big dinner for two to-go that I'm certain we all knew I was going to eat alone in my hotel room. Good on you, front desk individual. There was a storm coming!

Bugatti's was one of the first places I remember eating at when I moved to the area 5 years back, and I was fairly impressed. Coming from a land of chains I was happy to find something other than Olive Garden, that actually had salmon on the menu, and pasta that seemingly had some real flavor. I feel like more recently the quality has gone down on the ingredients and the prep. The salmon I got the last time we ate at the restaurant was so overcooked, and had too much salt. As for Happy Hour: They have a pretty good one! I wouldn't call it "Italian" considering it's a lot fried things, chicken wings, etc. The house pinot grigio was tasty and perfect for a warm summer day, the peach sangria was enjoyed by my MIL. The spinach artichoke dip is better than your garden variety out of the bag/into the microwave type, and the margherita pizza was ok. I thought the crust was kind of weird but it was edible. Although the servers seemed busy (and a couple I caught looking pretty annoyed), they were quick and efficient.

Pros: Reliably good food. Calming, adult-but-not-stuffy atmosphere. Great drinks! Cons: Inconsistent service. Yes, Yelp, I am a fan. Is it an Italian restaurant? I gotta go with, "Kind of?" I'm old school on Italian food, growing up in an Italian town will do that to you. But is it a good restaurant? Heck yes! I've been going to Bugatti's for about 8 years. It's always been reliably good. We love their food and their all day Sunday HH! Service is hit or miss. I can't blame them, though, no kid thinks, "I want to be a waiter when I grow up!" Some days the staff seems really psyched to be there. Other days... not so much. The atmosphere is decent and their bar is beautiful. I love being able to eat out somewhere that doesn't emulate Applebee's in interior design. I like that you can have a conversation without shouting. Great cocktails, too. Seriously good. Happy Hour menu is great, my hubby LOVES their burger. And also their chicken wings, which are unconventional but super yummy. I'm a vegetarian (yeah, I hate me, too) and they have TONS of options on their menu! Not just salad, people. It's a nice change! The Mozzarella Pomodoro Panini is awesome and enough for two people. Their fries are good, loved the Cobb Salad when I ate meat. The New York'r Pizza is awesome and there's so much garlic that you'll never have to worry about someone assaulting you on the Max. The pasta is decent and always cooked properly. Good comfort food and a little something for everyone. One star off for inconsistent service and for taking my fave food off the HH menu - bring back the Fried Tortellini!!!

For some reason, it's been a challenge to find great Italian food -- and Bugatti's isn't great, but it'll suffice. Their create-your-own-pizzas are okay. I like the whole-wheat dough, which is something you can't get everywhere. The cioppino is superb when you can get it. The vongole is good too, but there's a more-than-average amount of sand in the clams. Don't get the lasagna. It looked and tasted like the Stouffers lasagna you can get at the grocery store. The vast majority of the staff is genuinely friendly and helpful. However, in the past, they have employed a few kids that'd make fun of you within ear shot. But hey, if you're young (ish), eat at 5pm with the early-birds, and like to come in on the same day each week, you probably deserve a little ribbing.

The boyfriend and I went to dinner here on Valentine's Day, and had a much different experience than the other reviewer who ate there on the same day. Maybe we just got lucky, or the other review was unlucky. In any case, we enjoyed our meal. The service was fantastic, our waitress did a wonderful job despite being overloaded on a popular night. She checked in frequently, but not so often that we were annoyed. I get irritated when people whine about the servers not checking in all the damn time. You should be glad that they're leaving you to enjoy your time with friends or family. And, wait for it, they're helping more than just you and doing a job most of us would rather not do, so give them a little credit. The wine was great, even though I can't for the life of me remember which one we ordered. Of course most red wines taste the same, no? The bread and dipping oil was the perfect amount, we didn't even need an appetizer. I ordered the fettuccini alfredo with chicken, which was okay. It had the creamy richness that you want with alfredo, but I found the overall flavor to be "meh". When I asked for parmesan, she dropped off one of their little glass shakers of it. I'm sure it's not legit I-just-grated-this-myself parmesan, but it does the trick. Even so, I finished my plate because, hello, it's alfredo and chicken and cheese. My boyfriend ordered the chicken parmesan, and holy hell balls it was good. I only had a bite and I was super disappointed that I couldn't eat the whole thing. Next time. We ordered the profiteroles (cream puffs filled with ice cream, drizzled with hot fudge lovin, and topped with whipped cream). I may or may not have eaten more than just my share. Sorrynotsorry.

I don't usually go to the suburbs for happy hour, since I am a Portland gal, but since I work out this way, I thought I would meet some friends who were in the area at Bugatti's. One thing I really loved about Bugatti's right away, was that they have an early happy hour until 6pm, but then their late night happy hour starts at 8pm! Sometimes I just miss the early happy hour because of work and what not and then just don't want to wait until 9 or 10 for the late night one, so 8pm is perfect!!! There portion sizes are really reasonable. My friend and I each got a salad and split the pizza. The food was delicious! Yummy! Dinner and a beer for $11 bucks with tip. Can't beat that! We also had a great server. He was fast and friendly and was right on top of it when we were getting close to finishing our drinks. Whenever I need a place to go to in this area, I will be back at Bugatti's for sure!

My wife and I enjoyed a delightful evening of dining here. We were promptly seated, the server was very attentive and professional, and our dinners were delicious. I ordered (and devoured) the chicken parmigiana, and my wife enjoyed the cioppino. My wife sipped a glass of Maryhill Sauvignon Blanc, which complimented her dinner choice nicely. As the driver, I had an iced tea. My wife's dinner arrived quickly, but there was some delay in my dinner's presentation. Our server was apologetic, but the restaurant was very busy and the delay was understandable. I would certainly recommend this restaurant to friends, and we hope to return soon.

Eggplant Parmesan was burned. Sauce was bland. Greens were bland.

This is a decent place to go out for a lunch once in a while. It's not overly cheap but it's decent portions for the price, and the food is good enough. It's one of the middle food places where it's better than fast but not on par with other Italian places I've been to. It's kind of like an Olive Garden or an OSF flavor- good but nothing to rave about. They do give you breadsticks and oil, now those are very good; however, each time I've come here service isn't very good, they just kind of greet, give you stuff, leave. Nothing is offered, check is given without asking if I want to order anything else, and I'm never actually greeted with a smile. As a person that dines out specifically to lighten my mood, this does affect me. I know it's not a fun job being a server but the people coming probably don't have fun jobs either, it does make a difference in dining experience. Also, there is no doors to the kitchen, and I can see staff members standing around talking. I don't mind that, but I kind of do mind that I'm eating and they keep glancing over and looking at me eat- kind of awkward.

I was hungry for angel hair pasta, with browned butter, EVOO and toasted pine nuts. The kitchen made it for me. While nothing extraordinary regarding ingredients or prep, the kitchen didn't hesitate. Granddaughter loved her "alfeedo" with chicken, the kids meal could a least come with a complimentary scoop of ice cream. $3.00 seems rather high when our table bill came to $75. It's a good place to stop while shopping the area. But if you want Italian, this might not be for you.

I am always, I repeat ALWAYS, down to try a new happy hour spot, so I was stoked to finally try Bugatti's. Like Jesse, I've driven past here at least once a week in the two years I've lived here, but never stopped in. Finally gave it a shot, and I'll be adding it to my HH rotation. I had two glasses of wine (although I really wanted more!), the Chardonnay and the Cabernet, both were good. I was a little surprised that they didn't have more local wines, as it is a local chain. I split the champagne salad and the margherita pizza with my friend, and I was impressed that the salad came on two separate plates for us instead of us having to share one plate. It was good - candied walnuts, strawberries, cheese....mmmmm. The pizza was also quite yummy! I loved the complimentary bread and oil they brought - which we would have got even if we were just ordering wine! Score. Service was great, prices and portions were excellent, the place was comfortable, and I left a happy camper. Will definitely be back!

I just got home from Bugatti's Happy Hour. I had the champagne salad, shared the artichoke and spinach dip and the margherite salad and a glass of Sangria. Yum yum yum. I really like the champagne salad with candied walnuts, feta cheese and strawberries on spinach with a light champagne dressing. The pizza and the artichoke dip were both very good and the Sangria was white wine based with peach flavoring and actual peaches. The service was very good, especially for happy hour. I was pleasantly surprised, and will put this near the top of my list for happy hour spots.

With apologies to local Yelp legend Bob M, I am very fond of the man, and am a HUGE fan of his reviews. Bob saw fit to give Bugatti's: H-boro edition a coveted 5 star rating. My own experiences here have simply not tallied with his. To be completely honest, I didn't know anything about Bugatti's beyond their pizza until recently. We sometimes get their pizzas catered at work, and we waste no time destroying those delicious beasts. On the basis of their pizza pie alone, I'd give Bugatti's a 4 star Yelp rating, and probably still would. Their pizza does Charlie Sheen proud and just knows how to keep "winning!" For that reason, I was quite excited to learn of their full Italian sit-down menue, and had to come check 'em out in person recently. The initial thrill of being in the place did not last long, as it turned out... First, the Calamari: thick wads of peeled onion loops seemed to be designed to resemble squid tentacles festooned this uneven, nightmarish platter of mostly deep fried starch and carbs. Worse still, the onions, which stubbornly remained in some places in the platter, knotted up wads, were woefully and unevenly cooked. You may have heard a recent news item on NPR about many restaurants utilizing (prepare yourselves, readers) carved up pig rectums, to masquerade as calamari rings, whereby restaurants hope to fool unsuspecting and unsophisticated diners. One of the dead giveaways to this Swinish deception, per NPR, is that there is a tell-tale lack of squid tentacles in the faux calamari. I was actively contemplating this as I raked and combed through that oniony hot mess on our table, looking for tentacles that wound up being few and far in between. The overall ratio of deep fried onion to ANYTHING ELSE on that platter was not favorable, to say the least. I'm not saying this was definitely the faux squid platter, borne of piggy booty. What I AM saying, is that this was the worst calamari I've eaten in a restaurant in as long as I can remember, and my tablemate agreed with this assessment. On then, sadder and apparently not much wiser, to the main platter (grilled Steelhead and sauteed squash slices). The veggies were good-- how do you screw up sauteed veggies? The fish though tasted as though it were literally hours, if not sooner, from turning. Many words could be used to describe the fish--- probably the most flattering of which is "Bland". My tablemate, who had a slice of the fish--- could not positively identify the actual type of fish------ when questions are already looming about your pig-calamari, no stones should be left unturned about any "fishy" meals, wouldn't you agree? And a big "Boooo!" for Boooooogatti's on general principal: If two of your customers, both of whom love to catch and eat fish, cannot agree/decide upon the actual pedigree of your fish, how can that EVER be considered a good sign? Later on, my table-mate expressed bonafide surprise and gratitude to NOT have developed stomach cramps, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea. Gee whiz, this seems like AWFULLY faint praise for a restaurant at this point, doesn't it? Bugatti's, I'm not at all certain what happens between your pizza dept and the rest of your restaurant---are they entirely separate entities, operated and managed by entirely separate staff? It feels that way, and it's a shame to have to give you a little bit of a swat. I just can't believe any of you (powers that be @ Bugatti's) would have sat in our chairs that day, ate what you gave us to eat, and called it a good thing. I will say your staff was unfailingly chipper and attentive and prompt----- I just can't help wondering if they had any clue of the actual quality of the food they were serving us, and how monumentally bad it truly was.

What do you do when you are Westside, have had a mess of oral surgery, want good food--that you can actually eat--a nice atmosphere yet not worry that your wig is on crooked and that you are wearing bunnie slippers? Bugatti's, of course. There is absolutely no way I should have been eating the focaccia-sque bread, but torpedoes be damned; I jammed slivers drenched in that lovely garlicy olive oil that is served with it and smiled like Moms Mabley with it drooling down my face, while I giggled and chortled. "Another basket, sir?", the poor server asked tentatively. "Blesth pleath, more ofth tha garlthic stuff, too, mmmm, isth goodth!" She walked--was it ran? To get it for me and sort of flung it at from about three feet from where I was sitting. I have no idea what SO ate, I had Vicki & Val dancing in my head. All I know was my Spaghettini was spot on; not easy, it's real easy to under or over-shoot the runway with a fine, thin pasta. The sauce was a basic tomato, with wilted sliced basil, tomato cooked thoroughly yet with texture. The shrimps; they had some give, not a snap, yet, that you were biting into a welcomed surprise. When pierced these little sweeties of the sea gave up a fresh flavor, not a hint of whatever evil most shrimps are preserved with. Italian, I feel is not especially tricky to prepare at first glance; the ingredients are simple. The devil is in the quality, technique and getting it to the diner's table at just the right moment. And this was flawless. Bugatti's mentions, but not in a loud obnoxious way, that they work with organic local product and all of this showed in our dinner. We were very pleased. I tipped particularly well. The service was spot on and the poor woman had to work with the likes of me. Grinning at her at the end, all greasy with oil and splattered with tomato sauce weeping at her, "I loveth you, mannnm, realthhhy". I'm sure she thought, "God, what bar would have let him out to drive here?"

Bread - olive oil with chunks of minced garlic. Note to self: probably don't want to eat here before an important meeting presentation to be given in a small room, just sayin'. Seriously though, I do love when they put tasty garlic crap in my olive oil - I just end up eating too much damn bread. Ugh. Pasta is pretty standard. Didn't suck. There was one salad on the menu that was vegetarian - not bad actually. I will return, I'll just do it when I'm not giving another presentation in a very small conference room. No, that garlic smell is NOT me.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
