This place is always the start of our vacations in this area. The treats are baked fresh every morning and the staff is very friendly. To see Bandon Old Town, you have to start here for a great cup of normal coffee or put them to work on a specialty coffee. My favorite is theham and cheese croissants that are baked perfectly. After that you are already in old town and are set for visiting the sights. For the years we have been coming here, we have never had a problem with the quality of food or the staff.

I had to stop here on our visit to Bandon, because I love bakeries. The staff was very friendly and there is a comfortable feeling about the place. I ordered a cappuccino (of course), a cinnamon roll and a date-filled bear claw. They only have paper cups for coffee drinks, so I had to make-do with that, but the cappuccino was pretty good overall. The cinnamon roll was good ..... it wasn't great and it wasn't bad, just good. I was disappointed with the bear claw. To call it "date-filled" is a misnomer. There was only a smidgen of date filling, surrounded by copious amounts of pastry dough. photo attached - I cut into the middle of the bear claw to best photograph the lack of date filling. The eclairs in the display case looked really good, and I should have ordered one of those. They looked home-made and delicious ... but I just couldn't go for such a decadent sweet so early in the day. Try the eclairs, they looked good. Next time I'm in Bandon, I will stop here for an eclair!

As we were finishing up our vacation on the Oregon coast, we stopped in here on Easter Sunday morning for some coffee and a pastry for the road. We ordered two bagels, toasted with cream cheese, two latte's and then my sister and her daughter had a seperate order behind us (paid for separately). There were only two people working - a young man and an elderly lady. We waited over 15 minutes for our order (didn't appear any other orders were in front of us). They had made our latte's and left them sitting for the 15 minutes while they "toasted" our bagels and added a scant amount of cream cheese. And when I say "toasted" I mean microwaved until they were hard and dry. This was, hands down, the worst place I've ever ordered such a simple thing. They managed to thoroughly screw up a bagel and cream cheese. The Latte, which was decent, was barely warmed through. If we weren't on a tight schedule and already on the road before we cracked open our bagels, I would have turned around and gotten my money back.I mentioned earlier in the review that my sister paid for hers separately....well the elderly lady stuffed everything (the dry, hot bagels) and my sister's chocolate items, in together. I did ask for a seperate bag for hers and ours - we didn't order together - don't bag it together. To top it all off, our order was $16.50 for two 16oz latte's and two bagels with cream cheese. OUTRAGEOUS! I will NEVER go back here and will spread the word to all friends and fellow Yelp'ers - avoid at all costs. There is a much better coffee shop/bakery right down the road in Old Town Bandon.

Everything we got here was delicious. They have a good selection of pastries, cookies and cupcakes. I got my daughters chocolate cupcakes and I tried a bite - they were fantastic. Very moist cake, rich and creamy frosting. I picked up an almond pastry, it was really good too. My husband got a cheese danish. He said it was the best cheese danish he's ever had. We also got a grilled cheese. It was amazing. I would take the hour drive from my house to this place just for one of those grilled cheeses. The bread was thick and soft, there were several kinds of cheese - and bacon! It was perfect.

WOW, I am sitting at my desk eating a cranberry bar that I bought yesterday and it is delicious (and I dont even like cranberries). The coffee was delicious, the cinnamon roll.. Hello!?! it was one of the best ever. Well balanced between sweet and bread with raisins. Very light icing. This was one of the best. Try it even if you are not hungry. The cookies were worth the trip alone. Dont make the same mistake that we did; get two of the molasses cookies. Out of this world good. They were starting to prep for lunch and the smell of the soup almost enticed us to stay. I guarantee it was good!! The owners were kind enough to let me plug my computer in and work for an hour - which was misery with all the smells. Try it, you will love it.

I had a cream puff cuz I'm a total foodie. Well, it was bigger than any cream puff I've ever had in my entire life. It tasted just like the little cream puffs but wayy bigger. The chocolate on top was a nice touch. The dining space was nice and roomy too, not too crowded.

Ordered a breakfast bagel with egg, cheese and sausage. Bagels were light and delicious. Sausage...out of this world and the egg was cooked perfectly. Well worth the trip!

Nice people but a very mediocre bakery. I purchased a blue berry bran muffin this morning that was bone dry (how is this possible the first thing in the morning) and the croissants are embarrassing---a croissant should be light, flakey and tasty. These were heavy, flat and bland. Bandon could really use a good bakery. This is not it.

I had the carrot cake when I was there this week. It was very good. I decided to get a date filled bear claw and a cherry cheesecake to take home and try. Unfortunately they were not nearly as good as the carrot cake. Only one bite of the bear claw had a date in it. The cheesecake seemed like it was probably Jello no-bake cheesecake with some canned cherry pie filling on top. Very disappointing. That being said, the staff was very friendly, they have great coffee, and the prices were reasonable.

One word. Yummy. Nice staff, delicious food. Great place to stop for a treat or pick up dessert or homemade bread for later.

Had a couple pastries (cinnamon roll and cherry cheesecake) here and they were both delicious! Cool spot in Bandon and very friendly staff. Also had a couple different cookies on a second visit that were top notch cookies. Definite recommend. Would give five stars but tried a sandwich one day at lunch at it didn't quite measure up.

I've eaten some wonderful food from many bakeries over the years, but the food here at the Bandon Baking Company is the best I've ever eaten. The cinnamon roll melts in your mouth and is fresh and so delicious. The cinnamon croissant is absolute perfection. Did I mention their molasses cookies and snickerdoodles are soft and chewy and so, so fresh? We're talking baked daily. From scratch. Now I have another reason for moving to the Oregon coast. As others have said, if you're on a diet, don't even try to come here and escape without trying something from their bakery. But then again, why would you want to deny yourself such absolutely marvelous sweet treats??

Mmm is what I thought at first till I opened my cinnamon roll, it tasted like plastic....It was a buzz kill because the place smelled sooooo good! it could just be one bad roll. If I am down there again I would give it another try.

One of the best deli sandwiches I've ever had. If you're in the mood for a cheap, quick meal along a very high foot-traffic area, this is a great place.

Fiance and I stopped here to grab breakfast-to-go on our way out of town. We both ordered their turkey, egg and cheese bagel sandwich and while we waited for it to be made (yup, cooked to order), I commenced drooling over all the fresh-baked yummies that were appearing: cinnamon rolls, cupcakes, pastry; I wish we were staying around a bit longer so I could try everything. So on to the breakfast bagel sandwich... unwrapped it from the foil 1/2 hour down the road (was piping hot) and immediately noticed the bagel was so freshly baked and homemade that it had more of a croissant consistency which I actually preferred (yum). Took a bite and... 'Heaven, I'm in heaven, and my heart beats so I can hardly speak...' (you know the song). At the same time I'm getting over my shock of the perfect balance of egg, cheese and fresh deli-style sliced turkey, my fiance starts exclaiming how delicious this thing is (as he inhales it) and is contemplating if we should turn around and drive back for another one! If you're in town or passing through, give 'em a go and try a cupcake for me. Four stars because I haven't tried any of their baked goodies (yet).

I love this place! The Danish are the absolute best I've ever had anywhere! All the other goodies are also excellent. Good coffee. Nice place to eat.

This bakery is as good as it gets. My boyfriend and I were making a brief stop in Bandon while driving down the Oregon coast and we tried this bakery for breakfast. It was amazing. My boyfriend had a chocolate croissant and said it was the best he had ever had, and he's sampled his fair share of chocolate croissants. I had the oatmeal which was delicious. Oatmeal is normally good, ok, decent. It's not normally a food you rave about, but the oatmeal here is worth raving about. We also took some chocolate chip cookies to go and it goes without saying that they were great too. Excellent stop if you are in Bandon.

Treats looked delicious but we opted for bread to go with cheese and salami we had for the picnic on our roadtrip. Sunflower seed loaf, didn't disappoint. Also got a great sourdough for our friends, who warmed it up and served with butter. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because they don't serve multi-grain breads with flax or other seeds, but when asked it seems they told me it didn't sell well in the past.

The Bandon Baking Co. is reason alone to stop in this seaside town, but I warn you, do not go here if you are on a diet or if you lack self control around all things naughty and sweet. We enjoyed a bowl of their delicious homemade granola as well as the cranberry nut bread. We had good intentions of trying to save half the loaf of bread for breakfast the next day, but failed miserably as we devoured the rest on our drive up the coast. They sell their granola in small ziplock bags and these saved us on our camping trip as we had the perfect breakfast for several days in a row. The young ladies working there were friendly and we wish we lived closer to enjoy this spot regularly. Highly recommend!

I stopped here once on a long road trip up north from Los Angeles, with my then roommate and friend Grace, and my cousin Mikey. We got these little muffin/cup-cakey thinks that were called something like "soldier jacks" that were basically little spice cakes that were made during the depression or WWI or something when supplies were short. i will look up the name/history/recipe and repost if i find it. Anyway they were amazing. Something that is a food memory that i go back to sometimes when i am in an elevator or stuck in a meeting or somewhere i would rather not be. This craving became so intense that last year when my boyfriend and i were driving back from Seattle i made us take a 50+mile detour to try and find this place. We did, and i bought all of them. the boyfriend agreed that they were worth the extra milage and the entire bag of these little spice-laden treats did not last more than a day. i believe this shop had other tasty baked goods and they also made sandwiches (hence the deli). it is worth it. Especially on a drive up the coast where it is hard to find good food that is not part of a tourist trap. Mmmmmmm.... i can think about them now... And now i am sad.

We went for some fresh baked goods and we went disappointed. They make great cinnamon rolls... best in Bandon according to the sign! Serve yourself coffee, they had 5 flavors. Nice way to start the day.
