Neufeldt's is the best breakfast in the area. The chicken fried steak is wonderful and the omelettes are always quite tasty!

The staff is great. Very friendly and awesome. The lunches there are wonderful, it would only be better at dinner If they used real vegetables and not canned greenbeans. IF they would make homemade soups, and gravy that would be great. We go for lunch a lot, but at dinner, it could be so much more than it is.

We went here for dinner and it was ok. I had the the special of the day a ribeye steak that tasted ok. Side salad which again was ok, green beans which also were ok and mashed potatoes with gravy that I'm not a fan of. Paying $16.99 I don't expect instant mashed potatoes but that's what I got. In fact it really bothered me but my daughters food and my wife's food looked good and they enjoyed it. They had a chicken club with steak fries and a chicken strip salad with curly fries.

Simple food like tuna melts, salads, burgers and great breakfasts but good quality and hard working staff they are all always courteous. Ask the chef for a special burger if it's not too busy! But don't if the place is packed.

Nuefeldts has the best American food in our area. Personally, the prime rib is my all time favorite. The sandwiches, and breakfast are also great. The customer service is excellent, and the lunch/dinner cook is amazing. I like to change things around a bit from the original menu and he is always very accommodating.. They also have great pie, and sundae' s for dessert.

Yep, this is a country diner. My fiance and I, his brother, and his brother's girlfriend all came here for a last lunch before returning to Eastern Oregon. We happened to arrive at the odd hour after lunch but too early for dinner, so we were the only customers in the place. This was fine, our waitress had nothing better to do than make sure we were well taken care of. All our orders were perfect. My soon to be brother-in-law's girl friend had wanted the French Dip, but was told the normal bread for that order had run out. The waitress suggested a substitute bread - Texas Toast. This turned out to be fantastic! She was so pleased with the alternative bread that she may even just order it that way from now on. My burger was awesome, my fiance's curly fries were awesome, my steak fries were average. Next time I will order the curly fries and I'll have a perfectly awesome meal. Will definitely return the next time we're in town.

What a great country diner to eat at. Had the chicken fried steak, it was cooked great with a light crispy breading and delicious gravy. Would definitely recommend this place for a casual dinner with friends and family!

Neufeldt's. The name just exudes 'small town American diner', doesn't it? Okay, not really. But this place really is a throwback to those old school reasy spoons - the ones that serve up your standard omelets and pancakes for breakfast, burgers and sandwiches for lunch, and items like meatloaf and liver for dinner. The coffee is weak, the servers are friendly, and the ambiance is quaint. I bet this place is slammed after church gets out (the ginormous baptist one just up the street). Yelp directed us off the freeway to this little spot in the middle of Aumsville when we were in dire need of a solid post-camping breakfast. Neufeldt's was exactly as expected and more. We arrived right around 11:15 on a Monday and the joint was empty. We scored both breakfast and lunch menus and each ordered off one - me the classic ham+cheese omelet with home-fries and a biscuit - her the patty melt on rye sub gardenburger (yes, this place is vegetarian-friendly) with half tots, half curly-fries. Lots of weak coffee for the both of us. As we waited for our food we surveyed the scene and noticed first the art on the walls. Lots of awesomeness. I actually don't want to reveal what it is, but it's almost worth stopping in just for that alone. The space has that bright open diner feel. The food here is exactly as expected. The patty melt is quite greasy (as patty melts are) and surprisingly tasty with a gardenburger. I can't imagine how much of a gut-bomb it would be with a beef patty in there. My "omelet" was actually pretty disappointing - it was cooked brown on one side, and the other was wet and spongy. H+C omelet is pretty much my greasy-spoon go-to, and not hard to make, so I was pretty disappointed by this one. The house potatoes, however, are the scalloped kind, and very tasty. The biscuit likely house-made, but obviously reheated in a microwave just prior to serving. All in all, it hit the spot and was A-OK for diner food, but definitely nothing to travel far and wide for. Neufeldt's will definitely be on my radar when I'm passing through the area as a local, non-fast-food diner option, and judging from the patty melt, there are likely better options on the menu than my H+C omelet. Maybe next time I'll try the taco omelet. How could they get that one wrong?

Everything you want in a consistent manner at breakfast. If you are looking for a traditional American small town experience stop in to enjoy. I like the 5A special; 1biscuit and gravy with 2 eggs over medium, 1strip of bacon, 1 sausage link, Tabasco, coffee, and a tomato juice. If you have the good fortune to be served by Vicky and one of the regulars is at the counter you will get cared for and entertained...all for about $10. What better way to start your day with a full stomach and a smile on your face!

The food was okay not bad but very avg. The service was good. A little pricey for the quality of food. We had breakfast and the bacon was so tough it was like eating beef jerky. The pancakes were great and the eggs were also okay. 3 stars!

Great place if you like the bland taste and high salt content of frozen t.v. dinners
