Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Wow, what happened to the Izzy's of old. This place has gone down hill. Used to love this place when it was just pizza, chicken and jojos. Now days they have to much going on and they can't keep up with anything. The management doesn't care about the customers and they could care less if you don't like the food or service. The last time I was in here the bathroom was disgusting and no one cared when I reported it. Also where is the food, you go in there and there is nothing out and when you ask about it, you get the well we are filling call in orders excuse. If you can't keep the people in the restaurant full then stop the drive thru and call in service. One or the other.

One of few buffet type places to go to in Albany, so it's a good stop for someone or a group looking for a big dinner. Lunch is a little bit cheaper and features basically what you would come there for in the pizzas and side items. The pizza is in small sizes, but they are very good. Other choices include some chicken variations like BBQ chicken, chicken tenders or fried chicken. All are ok and good enough for what you pay to get in. It does sometimes take a while for food to be restocked on the hot plates. Overall it's a solid choice if you are hungry and looking for an easy place to sit and eat for a while.

Oh Izzys... As an Albany native that has since moved out of the state it's always a fun place to go, a place of nostalgia even! Pizza is still greasy, but delicious. The jojos or mojos or whatever you'd like to call those deep fried potato pieces are also good, but seem to be more greasy than ever. It's more of a self-serve joint these days. You have to get your own drinks, etc. It's clean, it's got a pretty good selection and the price is great for an all you can eat stop! Would recommend if you're feeling hungry and aren't on a diet :)

Can't say anything good ! The manager along with a couple of others decided to dust the light fixtures near our table. When I gave her a look of disgust she had nerve to ask me if there was a problem. We paid & left!

Don't think I will ever come back. The service is always pretty great, but the food lately and cleanliness has gone downhill. The restaurant was a complete mess all over the ground. There was even a few dollars sitting on the ground by the salad bar, and when my wife went to retrieve it to give to someone, the cook snapped in front of her and said something to the effect of us trying to keep it. We obviously knew it was a servers tip, but the attitude of the guy was pretty bad. The salad bar had miscellaneous stuff all over and was very dirty. The pizzas weren't refilled as they went empty, and the grill didn't have a bunch of things that they were nice enough to tell us about after we got sat. If we would have known when we walked in, we wouldn't have eaten there. All in all, this is about the worst buffet especially for an Izzy's I have ever been to. It used to good, but not anymore.

Holy cow! Lots of food! All the food! If you hungry this is the place to go! They got pizza, lots of pizza, salad, gross but they got it, hot foods like potatoes and chicken and stuff, and most importantly they got ice cream and them dank cinnamon rolls! Those delectable desserts are good for any course. I eat at least five for every plate. Oh yeah! I almost forgot about them tv's! If you like the college basketball they got lots of it on them high definition flatscreen televisions! You eating pizza? College basketball!! You eating salad? College basketball! You eating them mouth watering cinnamon rolls?? College basketball! All in all this place is truly the "bomb diggity" this is the place to be in the city of albany!

My boyfriend and I were craving some izzy's this evening! We walked into the building optimistically, never having had bad experiences there before. However, when I was attempting to place an order at the grill, one of the cooks started blatantly flirting with me, and as I walked away I heard him making comments to a coworker about me and laughing loudly. My boyfriend was annoyed (to say the least) and I felt pretty darn disrespected. We both felt like it was very unprofessional behavior on the part of the cook (who could clearly see that I was with my boyfriend) and it spoiled our (otherwise tasty) dinner.

Although the food is good, service is not always. I have had two bad experiences with to go orders. Today I called in my order and went through the drive thru to pick it up. Waited in the drive thru, and waited and waited. Employees walking by the window never came to help me. I finally gave up and went inside. I asked the girl at the front if they helped at the drive thru. She said that the buzzer isn't loud enough for them to hear and that they had complained to the manager. So I asked if I could talk to the manager. She responded by telling me she just got there and didn't know who was working! So I just got my pizza and went home. I had ordered it without pineapple but of course there was pineapple on it. The pizza was good but I get good pizza at Ciddici's too and never have to wait forever in the drive thru without being helped.

Stopped for a lunch, the place was VERY busy. They had the $5.99 lunch. I think everyone in Albany was having lunch there. Even though it was busy I got a place to sit and had great service. The staff was great.
