When Amos bought Wilson's bbq out when Mr wilson passed away, we were expecting the same quality as he had but didn't get what we were looking for in his bbq. We gave him a second try and received the same quality in the food as we did the first time. We didn't return any more. One day we saw a sign that wanda J's was taking over the restaurant. We gave it a try and it was off the chain! From the ribs to the potato salad was on point. I give them a five star for all. The cook they have there has taken the game and gone with it. Great job. I suggest everyone to give them a try once again. You won't regret it. The Pete Family

Me and my friend were on a trip across the country trying the best BBQ each city had to offer. We happened upon Wilson's almost by accident, because everywhere else is closed on Sunday. Upon entering I was greeted by the owner Tyron and his amazing Pittmaster "Big E". I can't say enough about how friendly and welcoming the atmosphere was, both Tyron and Big E were so nice, funny and friendly. Because we were on a trip for BBQ we had to try the Pulled Pork, the Chopped Beef, the Hot Links and the Ribs. Each dish was served in a generous portion. Without question each dish was the best I have ever had! They even gave us each a sample of the Peach Cobbler. NO SAUCE NEEDED OR WANTED (The meat was cooked perfectly) 1.) Pulled Pork 10/10 - Rich flavor, subtle pork sweetness, authentic smoke flavor and amazing, The perfect Pulled Pork 2.) Chopped Beef 10/10 - Great smoke flavor, The spices were perfect, didn't overpower the flavor of the beef, The perfect BBQ Beef 3.) Ribs 10/10 - Pink smoke ring, great flavor, tender while not being too tender, The perfect Rib 4.) Hot Links 10/10 - Smoke flavor, spicy finish, rich and full flavor, The perfect Link 5.) Peach Cobbler 10/10 - Best cobbler I've ever had, flaky crust, sweet flavor without overpowering the peaches, The perfect Cobbler Thanks to Tyron and Big E for the best BBQ experience in the USA

The Oklahoma barbecue of my childhood! Fortunately Wilson's is under new management since my last visit a few years ago. Meat smokiness declined when Mr. Wilson died, but I found the hot links to be smoky goodness in the same style I used to enjoy when on vacation with my parents--a vague tartness, grainy texture, and hot! I can't find links like that anywhere else. I took rib ends to go (not on the menu), and found the other items I like to see at Wilson's--bologna, strawberry soda (not grape), and sweet potato pies.

This place is a little hole in the wall that is yummy! I understand it is under new management, but the food is so good. Hubby had the ribs & I had the pulled pork. Nice & smokey, we had the mixed sauce, it was sweet with just a little heat. Could have had a little more heat, but it was good. Don't forget the sweet potato pie! I was a happy camper here. Good luck to the new management.

I went into Wilson's the other day and noticed that all of the staff had changed and they told me that they were under new management. I know when Amos took Wilson's over several years ago the food was terrible and the service sucked...Now the bbq is great!! And they have some really friendly young ladies in there serving and the new owner I think his name was Ty was an awesome host...If you ever had a bad experience in the past with bbq in the past which i did..its worth giving them another shot

Under new management now, it's really Wanda J's BBQ... She has a wonderful soul food restaurant in Broken Arrow. The thing about Wilson's that separates itself from the competition down the street (Stutts), is the way they cut their spare ribs. They leave the rib tips attached unlike a St. Louis style cut. Some people really enjoy rib tips, Wilson's usually has a rib tips special. The sliced beef (brisket) is the best thing I've had there.

Wilson's has been around Tulsa for a really long time. It's reputation has somewhat diminished in the last decade, since the ownership changed. It's much cleaner now, but it seems the original charm has given way to portion control. I will still say that the ribs are outstanding. The flavor, texture, and overall experience are the real deal. The chopped beef is similarly kick ass. They tried a second location for a while, and it just wasn't up to par with the original. You'll be in for a treat with the buttermilk pie, it's a true north side specialty.

My fondest memories of this BBQ place is when my Dad and I would go here after school or when I would be in Tulsa to visit him. We would always go to this great BBQ place it was our spot. They have the best pulled pork and the BBQ sauce is outstanding the Food is Great and the service is outstanding!

The pulled pork is more like pork fat. There is so much gristle that it looks unappetizing. The waitress is not very good, and it's always the same waitress (there are like 3 of them) On our last trip my girlfriend and I asked for water and she brought out coke. She fixed this pretty quickly but still it seems to happen every time we go here. The prices can be odd. The best thing to get is the lunch special otherwise it's pretty pricey for just a piece of toast and meat. Sides are 1.50 for a tiny cup of coleslaw or baked beans. Too small and often not that good. We kept going back since we're nearby and it works when you're hungry and don't want to drive far. However it seems like we're constantly disappointed and we've given up. Just go somewhere else for good BBQ. This place is not worth the trip, there are better places to go in Tulsa

i'm writing this review as a comparison to albert g's. i was in the area and went to both within a few days of each other. wilson's is awesome, awesome, awesome. we had brisket, ribs and smoked chicken. the ribs are fall off the bone and unbelievably tender. brisket is very, very tender. smoked chicken was decent, but i don't know if i've ever had outstanding smoked chicken. it was fine, but again, it was just chicken. the smoke flavor was about average and not nearly as good as abert g's. the sauce, though, was outstanding, especially the hot sauce and way, way better than albert g's. ribs and brisket were way more tender than albert g's also. baked beans were much better than albert g's and some of the best i have had. the potato salad is runny and pathetic. with that said wilson's is almost perfect bbq. if they had a stronger smoke flavor, it would be. it's very, very good and would go back in a second. this is better than albert g's overall.

This is the sixth review in my trip down memory lane of all the spots i Ioved in my formative years... don't know if these places are still open or if their standards are still as high, but I loved them way back when... Now this one can't get 5 stars 'cause I've had better BBQ (namely my uncle's, which is to die for - no sauce needed, falls off the bone good!) but it's the best 'que in tulsa. I remember they had this raggedy sign out front 'you need no teeth to eat our beef' and it was mostly true! I always loved the bologna, the hot links and the chipped beef. My fam' was totally into the ribs and they used to get two racks, sides (beans) and everything came with slices of white bread. It was always a bit of a wait, but it was worth it.

I love Wilsons! My first visit to Wilson's was just a few months back. The menu is limited to BBQ, but everything on the menu is great. I recommend the Pulled Pork sandwich. Everyone who works there is really friendly and the priced are very good for the amount of food you get.
