Love this place!! I have been going here for years. The service is really hit and miss. Some waitresses are great some... should be fired on the spot. Lol! But the bad service is worth it ... the food is great.. I have tried everything from the breakfast like the waffels and omeletts - the Mediterranean is my favorite! To the fried cat fish.. bacon blue burger and fried green tomatos. Love!!

I ran across Tally's while aimlessly driving through Tulsa on business looking for lunch. I had time to kill so thought that looking for a diner or cafe would be the route to go since I could sip coffee and waste an hour or so. Walking in I realized I had stumbled on a great diner. The smell of grease was in the air and all the waitresses were saying, "Hun" and "Sug" while topping off coffees. Tally's sits on the historic Route 66 and is definitely an homage to a bygone era. They do a good job of staying authentically 50's and don't go too far over the line with nick nacks on the wall and '57 chevys. I ordered the chicken fried steak sandwich and a coffee and I was a little confused when a chicken fried steak the size of a dinner plate came out with two dwarfed slices of bread on either side. Portions are HUGE! The breading was perfect and that hubcap of fried goodness was soon digesting in my stomach. If you're feeling nostalgic or looking for a good greasy spoon kind of place, Tally's should have you covered while in Tulsa.

Food was decent but service was lacking. Fries were cold and the side salad was nothing but lettuce. Didn't get the bread roll either. Waitress was to busy socialising with other staff.

Looking for a little bit of that lost route 66 Americana? Then you've come to the right place! Tally's has managed to recreate the diner of the mother road with all the dishes that come to mind when you thing of the 1950's. It good food served hot and fast. The servings are large enough that you'll not go away hungry. I enjoy the chili size burger with onion rings and a chocolate shake. It's good, its quick, and its greasy, just the way you'd like it!

The food is definitely made with love. Almost taste like I cooked it myself. The downside is the parking situation it's very cramped I had the peach waffles platter with eggs, sausage and hash browns. The eggs are small with a heap of hash browns. It was crowded today so my food was a bit cold but still tasty just the same. The coffee was delicious. The service was wonderful and the servers were attentive.

AVOID THIS PLACE. Was looking for typical breakfast joint. Went in and no host stand. Asked the cashier for a table. He said ok and walked away and never came back. 10 minutes later, a teenager asked how many and to follow her. They sat us with a couple at an 8 top (we had 6) three different servers ordered and delivered our drinks. We waited 20 minutes until server took our order. Fast forward another 25 min and our good finally arrived and had to wait another min for silverware. Long process just to eat cold food. And another wait in a long like to pay. Very chaotic, uncomfortable place. At least they had french vanilla coffee creamer.

I've been coming here for years. Although they've gone through a number of cooks/waitresses over the years, the team they have now is pretty on point. The service is pretty quick once you find an open table. I usually come for breakfast, but they also serve lunch and dinner items. Most of the menu is what you would see at your typical diner. The portion sizes are pretty big, so you won't leave hungry. And the price is in a good range if your looking to dine on a budget. Tried the chicken and waffles for the first time on my last visit. Pretty good, but I ate so much that I hated myself afterwards. Normally I would suggest the pancake breakfast, its the bomb.

A must eat if you're in the area. Amazing burgers at the best price you can find. Quick service in the cutest 50's style cafe. You'll leave waddling out the door!

GREAT breakfast! Service seemed a little rushed, even though they were not too busy on a Monday morning. Beautiful girls working this spot. And some of the best cinnamon rolls I've had. By the way, they are HUGE. I'll be back, and I may sit at the bar as there was two things that caught my eye there

This old school diner lived up to its reputation. The food portions were huge, and the variety was a mix of old classics and new spins on diner standards. What really shined was the service; I sat at the bar (close to the coffee), and the waitresses took super good care of me, and they actually had personalities. The restaurant layout is pretty open, but it has the old diner feel. Give them a shot; you'll be impressed.

Heard how great this place was, NOT. Service slow, servers are rough looking and not well dressed or groomed. They handle food with the same hands they count their tips with (in public). Food passable, but that is about it. I would suggest the Freeway Cafe. Better food for the money.

Maybe I just expected too much. The food, while good, was run-of-the-mill and nothing really special. Husband says I make tastier at home. I did have the feeling I was sitting at my grandmother's table for some of the veggies but the meat was uneventful. Kudo's for feeding peeps for free on Thanksgiving. Don't see that kind of hospitality for a fellow man anymore.

The epitome of a Route 66 Roadside diner. Yummy, greasy food with sweet, sassy staff. A great place to kick off a day on the road!

It's the best you can get at a diner. Orange juice was great, grits were great, sausage tasted a little different, biscuits and gravy were good too.

Worst service ever. Avoid this place. If you complain you get yelled at by the rude owner who thinks he is God.

I love this place. If you are looking for delicious diner food with attentive, friendly service, you must check it out. The decor takes you back to a simpler time and makes you feel right at home. Every time I go here, I eat a huge pile of their hashbrowns. They are perfectly shredded and friend to crispy goodness. I'm sure there is tons of oil in them, but it is worth the taste. Their pancakes are giant and tasty as well. I suggest asking for bananas or blueberries in your pancakes with some whipped cream on the side. I pretty much always order a spinach and feta omelet. Their feta is the perfect amount of salty and goes great with egg whites. Go here NOW!

Tallys! Something has changed... I usually love this local Route 66 dinner. The breakfast, for the price (value), has always been great. The place is always packed, but service is usually quick & friendly. However, we were in just a week ago and the food quality seems to be slipping. Poorly cooked & prepared. It seems like maybe the care in preparation has gone out the door for speed... Not what I expect from Tally's... (Disappointing)

Gag!!!!! Food was terrible, service worse. This is a greasy diner. It is dirty and the staff is scary. No management in site....of course.

If you're not hungry, avoid this place.... But if you are hungry, stop on in. Went here for breakfast twice while visiting a friend in Tulsa. Both times my plate was so full, I couldn't finish the meal. My first meal was something they called a Smart Bomb. A HUGE plate of hash browns with ham, bacon & sausage and it had onions, peppers (both green and jalapeno), tomaoes and mushrooms and topped off with a couple of eggs. For the price it was a hell of a meal. The second time I opted for the corned beef hash, with eggs. Now I've never had corned beef hash before that didn't come frrom a can, so I was a wee bit on the optimistic side, but expecting that it would only be marginally better that the canned stuff. I was impressed. It was pretty tasty. The atmosphere itself is worth the stop. As the place advertises, it is on the historic route 66, and has lots of neat decorations and things to give it the feel of travelling back in time (as long as you can ignore the fact that a 50 cent hamburger now will run you a bit more...:-D) You can guarantee I'll be back the next time I'm in Tulsa.

Food is okay here, but is usually on the cool side when it hits your table. I always ask to have it warmed prior to bringing it to my table. Reasonable prices to food quantity and quality. Open till 9pm or 10 pm too!
