When I give this 3 stars, understand that is the highest rating I can give any Chinese Buffet in Tulsa. They are all bland. This one at least has warm food and a mongolian grill station. But, this one is at least at or near the top of the heap for Tulsa Chinese buffets.

On my last day of my holidaying in Oklahoma, my fiance & I went to this restaurant for early dinner. I love the food. The spread is good considering it cost us under $30 for 2 pax buffet. The dessert could do better but the hot station and the live station is great. Will definitely be back when I'm back in OK. Hopefully soon!

I eat at this Restaurant a lot, I mean maybe more than twice a month. We have birthday parties here and etc. Food is always hot and tasty. Service is great. Very attentive and friendly.

Royal Dragon is a treasure. First impression: a gorgeous restaurant, rich with warm and inviting colors, textures and lighting. The menu is first-class, but it is the buffet that draws the most attention. The selection is large and varied, with Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean and Japanese influences. And the service is simply superb. When you get the bill, it becomes clear that Royal Dragon is an incredible value. I'm giving Royal Dragon 5 stars because it represents the very best of its genre.

Service was nice. Environment was good. Food was bland. I was here about two years ago and it was pretty good. There must have been a change in ownership or back of the house.

This is a review for the buffet, not the full menu, which I have not tried. The buffet is usually well stocked, clean, and the food is hot. 90% of Chinese buffets in Tulsa wish they could say this. Fare is pretty standard Americanized offerings: broccoli beef, egg drop soup, sweet and sour chicken, fried rice, egg rolls, etc. Does a 5 star all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet exist? I have not found one yet, but this will do just fine. I will be sure to update this review if I ever order from the menu!

The egg drop soup is so yummy but it's super hot. Be careful!

Although the restaurant is really pretty on the inside, the good cannot be called delicious. I ate at the buffet and most of the food I tried was almost flavorless, unfortunately. The selection seemed pretty small to me as well. The adult dinner buffet was only $8.95 and the service was very friendly, but I won't be back.

It's okay, but what can you expect for $8 - $9 all you can eat. Pretty much just mediocre.

Service was very good. Our server was very friendly, polite, and kept our drinks full. The other employees were also very nice and polite. Food was awful. Only a couple of dishes weren't hot. But taste-wise, they were a lot worse than average (in my experience, not necessarily for Tulsa). The egg drop soup was super bland. Bourbon chicken was ridiculously sweet. "Chicken on a stick" was so salty my fiance couldn't eat it. General Tso's chicken wasn't spicy. The only really good item I can name were the spring rolls. The twice cooked pork was okay, at least it was spicy. I went on a Saturday night and they had crab legs. For less than $10, all you can eat crab legs seems like a good deal, but they seriously had no flavor, not even crab. It was like eating boiled water. Most items were hot, but some were definitely cooler than they should be. The restaurant is not clean. On the surface, it seems clean, but people in the restaurant industry will notice the signs - dirty walls near the doors, for example. Instead of cleaning the serving areas, they just put down aluminum foil. Just bad signs all around. The men's bathroom was really dirty and did not have toilet paper. We've only been to a few Chinese buffets in Tulsa, so it's hard to compare, but we definitely won't be back. Again, though, I want to stress that our server and other employees were fantastic. Another note: They did not have many of the kid-friendly, American items that I think a lot of kids eat - think rectangle cafeteria pizza and chicken nuggets. That's not a problem for me at all, but if you have kids, it might be a consideration. They also offered some sushi rolls but nothing that looked good. They had a shrimp and cheese and a spicy chicken roll, yuck. The wasabi was really watered down. So definitely don't come here expecting tolerable sushi. To be fair, I didn't try any of the sushi, but it did not look good.

I should have listened to other reviewers! I'm kicking myself because I just spent the worst $10 that ever left my pocket. Royal Dragon turned out to be royally disappointing in so many ways. While the decor was nice enough, the food was bland, cold, and looked like I had been sitting in one spot for hours. I cringe just thinking about what I may be experiencing on the porcelain throne later tonight! The only way I can explain the theme that seemed to be found in the flavors at Royal Dragon was if you were to imagine the worst, saltiest American brown gravy you can imagine.... and then coat every possible piece of frozen meat in it and leave it out to fester. That's essentially how every dish tasted here - the sesame chicken, the beef and broccoli, and on and on. I don't even want to describe the appearance and texture of the sushi (which I wasn't brave enough to actually put in my mouth). I never thought I could imagine a restaurant that would turn me off of cheap American Chinese food... but congratulations, Royal Dragon, you may have done it.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
