Ron's deserves 5-stars for their delectable burgers, quick service, and reasonable prices. Think Shake Shack (if you have been to one in NYC) and this is pretty much it. Tasty, tender patty with crisp edges served on a squishy roll with your desired choice of toppings. Fries tasty and served piping hot.

Sausage cheeseburger, spanish okra and 2 mugs of root beer. Now THAT is a lunch! Loved it all from the thin sausage/hamburger that is burnt crisp on the edges, to the gloopy melty cheese and fixins (chopped lettuce, tomato slice, mustard) that were wedged under the too small bun, to the hand made fried okra with fried onions to the glorious root beer. I came in with intentions of trying the 3-way to compare it with the Cincinnati version, but I am very happy with my distraction. It just means I have to come back for the chili/spaghetti/beans another day.

I was on my way to Riverside Drive to ride my bicycle along the path for the first time. On the way, I passed this place and their sign said to try the sausage cheeseburger. I thought, "oh yeah." Unfortunately, by the time I finished my ride, they were closed. I had thought of having the burger before the ride, but that would defeat the purpose of riding. Two days later I was back at the park and even though it was already nearly 8:00 when I finished my ride, I decided to give it a shot. Hallelujah! They were open. I took the burger to go, so as not to make the employees have to stay late. I have to say, the place is really adorable, the staff were very nice and the place has all the makings of a first-class burger joint. This review is mostly directed at the sausage cheeseburger, which was below mediocre, in my book. I am beginning to see a trend here in Tulsa; salt the hell out of everything then serve it to the customers. Sausage does not need to be that salty. I cook sausage quite often and I have never tasted that much salt in any of my sausage, so why does there have to be so much in the sausage cheeseburger? The salt overpowers the other flavors. It was really all I could taste. The burger cost $5.99. I had a drink with it and the total was $8.66, so the drink was around $2.00, which is kind of high for a fountain drink. I understand they'll refill it, but since I was taking it with me, that didn't happen. All-in-all, I think a three star review would have been too generous, so I'm giving them two. Try using less salt in the sausage and you might have something pretty terrific. As it stands, it should be called the Salt Cheeseburger.

Holy Cow!! This is too good to be true. I feel like I have died and gone to carnivore heaven! Everything here is filled with bacon, beef, sausage or chicken. I stopped in for lunch while in town working. Upon stepping inside I quickly noticed the sign that says to seat yourself. So I walked to the back and I nestled into the booth and opened the 3 page menu trying to figure out if I was up to the sausage cheeseburger challenge. I then looked at the pictures on the backside of the menu and figured put that this would be as difficult as choosing your senior year prom dress. With the help of Tabitha, my fabulous server, I decided on the 1/5lb Ron's special which is a cheeseburger with bacon, ham, lettuce, tomato and mustard. As a side item, I had trouble choosing between the the bacon and cheese fries and spanish style fries so I decided to get the best of both worlds - bacon and cheese spanish style. Spanish style consists of grilled jalepenos and opinions which is pergect if you like it hot. And to top it off, the fries were served with ranch dipping sauce. I know this was a 3,000 calorie order of fries but it was worth the extra pound I promise. Amazingly, I could taste every ingredient in the burger. It was absolutely delicious but I was incapable of eating the entire thing. I tried really hard not to let the greatness go to waste, but 3/4's of it was the best I could do. The fries had the perfect amount of cheese and were not the sea of sogginess one would expect. But to answer the looming question, you absolutely need a fork to eat the fries. I sampled the chili with cheese and agree it is good stuff and easily put their six kids through college. I wanted to top off my day with chili for dinner but liquid carry ons have to be less than 3.4 oz so I was forced to leave Tulsa chili-less. My order total was about $10.50 before gratuity. Close to the price of Five Guys but it is much better quality and quantity. I was so full, I felt like I needed to be rolled out of the door. I'm a Ron's groupie for life. Thank goodness for me I don't live in Tulsa. If I did, there would be no pants big enough to fit my wah-toosie.

First and foremost the cashier counted my change back to me. Hats off to Ron's. What was funny the lady told me that she could count change back without the help of the register. Spot on as the English say! Perhaps it was a sunny day or it had been awhile since I ate lunch at Ron's but everything was fresh looking and tasted great. I opted for the small Ron's Special and 1/2 order of Spanish fries (onion and jalapeño deep fried with French fries-recommend) and left satisfied. Busy location, parking is parking (limited) so we parked and walked 1/2 block. The trip was rewarded by a good lunch.

Ron's, one of Tulsa's grilled onion grease burger icons. Several lications, but this v one is Ron's youngest boys location. Lots of love goes into the preparation of every bite of food from this joint. Not for weight watchers!!! :)).

I have eaten at Ron's several times over the years. I have tried almost everything but still my favorite is not a hamburg but the Polish 3-way or 2-way extra cheese with crackers and cold slaw are the prefect blend lunch or dinner. Ron's Polish 3-ways are alway hot and fresh,,, and oh taste so good.

Absolutely delicious! Buster burger: sausage burger, bacon, ham, cheese, veggies....So good! Chili cheese tots with Ron's amazing chili. Such a great idea for dinner. Highly recommended for a casual burger with your bestie.

Honestly, this was the best cheeseburger I've ever eaten. Ever. I got the sausage cheeseburger (sausage and hamburger meat ground together) and Spanish fries (fries with onions and jalapenos). It's been several years since I've been here - I was just passing through. But I still fantasize about this cheeseburger and am often tempted to drive nine hours to have another one. I don't remember anything about the atmosphere, the service, or the location. I was apparently in too much of a blissed out food coma to pay attention. :-)

You know how I feel about places that are pronounced "the best in the city" by various local polls. Ron's is one such place, an "institution" the puff pieces say. How can some place be an institution that was started a couple decades after I was born? For once, I sat down for a meal at a place labeled "the best of the city,", took a bite, and went "ahhhhhhhhh." (Fortunately all life is a balance, and I cannot say the same happened later in the day in Wichita!). Ron's has been dishing out their special burgers and chilis all over Tulsa since 1975. The original location, on South Denver, close to downtown, is a bright, cheery, place, with ample seating inside. I had advised an old business colleague that I was zipping thru Tulsa, and he agreed to meet me at Ron and give me the down low on Ron's. I arrived before he did, and perused the menu, which offered a wide variety of chili-enhanced burgers, dogs, 2 and 3 way, and even a few salads. When he arrived, he advised me to go with the Chili Sausage Cheeseburger, a 1/3 pound patty mixture of half beef, half pork country sausage, with onion mixed in, on a bun with onions, pickle, and mustard, and smothered in Ron's chili topped with more cheese and diced onion. We agreed to split an order of regular fries. We talked over old and new times while waiting, and before long, were served our masterpieces. This was one smother burger, not even slightly visible beneath the mouth of chili. Sliced in half, I could see the hand-formed patty nicely tugged amidst the condiments on a soft roll. Hand-formed, of course. I tasted the chili on its own, first. My, oh, my. Tasty. Lop off a big of burger, bun, and chili with my fork. OMG. It really was fantastic! I'd love to return, because the menu offers some other interesting variations I saw later, worth checking out, at least for me, including a variation of the above burger but stuffed with ham and bacon. MMMMMMM. Tulsans, you get "reader's polls" right! Ron's HAS to be the best burger and chili in the city, I just don't see how any one could be better!

This was a good chili day and Ron's is the place to have a bowl. A medium chili with beans took care of my Friday lunchtime hunger. Fair warning, the place is packed at noon, so go early!

Waitress recommended the 3-way (I was a bit surprised), but opted for the sausage cheeseburger. Fantastic. However, the star of the show was the Spanish okra, which was a spin on their Spanish fries. Gonna go back to try the chili on spaghetti (3-way) which is why I've reserved the 5th star

One of my favorite burger joints. The sausage burger is very tasty. Their "spanish" fries are good if you like jalapenos. Definitely a great stop on a burger tour.

I love this Ron's... i eat here 1-2 times a month. Friendly service for the most part (one unfriendly server over all, but thats most places) I think they are modestly priced and you get what you pay for. Jalapeno chicken is probably my favorite but the Ron's special is tasty as well. The Ron's on Peoria's food is not nearly as good and i actually found it disappointing when i ate there. Wish they were open on Sundays and open later than 8.

This place is great. From the outside it looks like a simple burger and chili place. It is far from!! I had the sausage burger. This half beef half spicy sausage creation is juicy and tasty. The onions are grilled into the burger Oklahoma style. It is amazing. It's certainly a departure from the run-of-the-mill fast food burger. Fries are homemade and golden brown too!! I didn't eat the chili, but it looks wonderful. Maybe my next visit. A great choice for a quick lunch.

Well, a couple of things... The other Ron's locations have been reviewed several. But with as many locations as they have, not all have been reviewed. Good food? Yes. Cheap? Oh, HELL NO! A burger, fries and a drink should not cost over $6.00. Go to Ron's and expect to be close to $10.00 per person. Love the food, hate the cost. I really don't get it, unless someone is just trying to cash in. Let's put it this way... The stores were a lot busier when the prices were reasonable. I just can't afford to eat there anymore with a family of four.

I cant believe there are no reviews on Rons yet! This one of my favorite burger joints! Cheap, quick, good portions. Lots to choose from: Burgers, chili, coleslaw, spanish fries (ask for spanish tator tots-even better!) Very relaxed and dressed down place.

I have read Yelp for a while, but never joined until I ate here. It was so good, I told them I was taking a picture of the food and joining yelp, so I could praise them. This particular Ron's is the busiest in Tulsa. They consider it "slow" if there's no line out the door. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and chose our seats. Our waitress was there within the minute, even though the 30-odd tables were mostly full still, at 1:30pm on a Tuesday. I chose a regular cheeseburger and chili cheese tots; my son got something that I think was called a Double Bubba. If that's not right, it should be. It had two patties, two slices of cheese, ham, and bacon. They could have hidden any number of other things on there, but that's probably most of it. My tater tots were beautiful-yes, that's right-and nothing like what I'm used to getting from fast food joints. Ron's has some award-winning chili and they aren't shy about using it. The shredded cheese was plentiful too. My cheeseburger was fine, but I could have done with only the tots. I see why I've heard that six kids were put through college on that chili. It's probably true.

This simple, old-fashioned hamburger joint offers up the most glorious heart attacks on a bun one could ever ask for. The sausage cheeseburger is fantastic. The place is always full of cops getting that same burger smothered in chili. I don't know how they pack it away without falling over dead on the spot but it looks tasty.

Love the chili. The specialty chili burgers and chicken chunks are good too.
