The food takes forever... Literally waited 30+ minutes for it. I ordered an appetizer and 2 entrees, and the appetizer didn't even come out the whole time I was eating there. The pasta was very dry and bland. Service was not great either. I don't think I'm ever going back to this location..

The grill has gone through ownership changes recently. It seems to improve with time. I have not seen dirty finger nails nor poor service. My grand kids love Mac and cheese. The menu seems to change often enough to add variety for regular customers. The management seems to do a good job, considering turnover of wait staff due ownership changes. My wife and I enjoy the food and the experience. The food is good, in line with the cost and creative.

Have to give it one star because it's closed and Yelp has it as open. Their phone number still works and has an automated message but if you press 4 to talk with a representative, it plays a loud screech in your ear. The is as of June 2015. Seems like it's been closed for a while if you drive by.

First I would like to say that the atmosphere was good the food was horrible. We went there this past Sunday and I ordered spaghetti with meat sauce and Italian sausage it tasted horrible. The meat was grey and this noodles weren't cooked all the way. When they brought out the bread and put the cracked pepper and olive oil it had a really bad aftertaste. We got my daughter pepperoni pizza off the kids menu and it was burnt. When the waiter asked us how the food was we just kind of said Ehhh. The waiter then walked off. The manager came and asked us how everything was we told him and it's not the greatest it's ok I guess. The manager didn't even ask why the food was just okay and what could be done to make it taste better or anything. He just said "great," and walked away. I spent $50 at macaroni Grill and I will never return again. I am not a fan of Olive Garden but I think Olive Garden is 1 million times better than Macaroni Grill. This place should be ashamed to call them selves and Italian eatery.

I went here for a quick lunch. I waited 5 minutes for a hostess to seat me, in a nearly empty resturant. The waitress and chef had words where I could hear them. I order a lunch combo that was very small and not all that tasty

It's not that the place is bad or anything, but I can't go more than 3 stars. The service was great, but considering the prices and the quality of some of the food, there are enough other options in the area that I can't say I'll go back. The salads - regular garden and Caesar - were fine but nothing special. The bread that was brought to the table in advance of the meal was just bread, not anything to go on and on about (with Zio's, I could go on about it plus the spice blend used in their olive oil, but not here). The crab stuffed mushrooms were just OK. Of his dish that included 3 items: the Chicken Parmesan was pretty good, the Chicken Cannelloni was really awesome, but the lasagna was really not all that great. My Chicken Scallopine was pretty much to die for, so no complaints there. At the end of all of that plus two soft drinks (strawberry lemonade also not special, no whole strawberries or anything like that) we were at about $50. If it had all been really yummy, that would have been a fair price. Considering it was kind of hit or miss, I'd rather spend that $50 where it's all good. If I did go back, I'd go with just the items I know are fabulous and skip the rest.

"Takes freaking forever to get served." That was my tip. Truth be told if my boss didn't take me to lunch here I probably wouldn't eat here. I like the inside of this place but other than that there is not much to recommend it. The food is adequate, but nothing really stands out. The service is hit and miss at best. Why when the place is better than 3/4 empty it takes so long to get served is beyond me. If your looking for Italian in the area you would do much better at Zio's ( and I think judging by the disparity of the lunch crowds, a number of people would agree with me ). The prices are nothing to get excited about. All in all not much of a restaurant.

Wow! Fabulous! The Parmesan Crusted Sole was scrumptious! Mushroom soup, Caesar salad and bread were delicious! Our waiter Chea was personable and professional! Marcel sang us our very own Lady Gaga song! A very fun and relaxing evening! We will be back!

went for lunch today. salad was brown, lentils in soup were crunchy, waiter forgot to put in one person's order, brought out wrong order twice, one sandwich wasn't even warmed through. This is the first really negative entry I have made but please steer clear of this for a few months. It was the middle of lunch rush on a week day and the place wasn't even 1/4 of the way seated with no waiting. I am afraid I know why. The waiter was friendly, which was the only redeeming quality.

9pm Saturday night, an almost empty dining room. The food took just short of an hour to reach our table. My wife's Caesar Salad was brown, 75% of the food came out not even warm, but cold! One of the pieces of chicken on my daughters skewer was raw. No I am not exaggerating. The Manager offered to reheat the food. (How Classy). I almost fell out of my chair, $16.00 a plate, this is not what I would expect. After I lengthy conversation letting him know how displeased we were he did finally capitulate and offered us a 50% discount. No we will not be back, nor would I ever recommend this location to anyone.

I eat here because this is one of my favorite chains. This specific one is terrible. It was my b-day and the food was horrible. It takes alot for me to complain and even more for me to yelp, but I will not be back to this one.

One of the best chain restaurants in the world in my opinion. I can count on their bread being consistently fresh, and their Chicken Scaloppine being delicious. ...You can add a side Caesar salad for a couple bucks. ...My waitress could have been better but she didn't ruin my time.

Just barely a 3 star. The service was friendly. The meal took quite some time to get to our table once we ordered. The entree was mediocre. "Mama's Trio" - just ok (lasagna -average but decent, chicken cannelloni-flavorful but dry, chicken parm-good). The chicken Parmesan, however is a good dish on it's own which I would recommend: the breeding is crispy and the chicken is tender. The eggplant Parmesan is not exceptional. It seemed the eggplant was not cooked fully and was spongy as a result. The atmosphere is casual but elegant and the staff seems attentive. It has decent food/atmosphere for about $20-25/person.

Just had dinner there today and it was the MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE I have EVER had! I used to love this place and it was on my favorite list. After tonight, I will never go back again! We went in around 7pm & were the only people there. It took them ONE HOUR to get us our appetizers and then our entrees followed afterwards. They forgot to give me an appetizer and my entree wasn't even cooked all the way. IT WAS TERRIBLE. Waiter was nice but didn't really know what he was doing. DO NOT GO TO THE ONE ON 71st & MEMORIAL!!

I'm just going to preface this with the fact I haven't been to Macaroni Grill since high school. Maybe this place has gone downhill in the 10+ years since I've been or maybe this place was horrible all along and I was just a jaded little kid back then. ATMOSPHERE: The place was remodeled since I had last been. It now has nice lighting and a nice ambiance - nice enough you don't feel like a fool in dress clothes if you actually came here for something fancy, but not SO nice you feel out of place if you came in casual attire. However, the main dining area was FULL. Seriously, Macaroni Grill. You can afford to take out 1 TABLE. Be prepared to be sitting annoyingly close to strangers with your chair pulled into the table as far as possible. SERVICE: The waiter forgot to bring us our bread. When he finally did, he didn't offer to add the cracked pepper to the olive oil (didn't it use to be HERBS they added?). THEN, he forgot to put in the request of no nuts on the pasta. Really, dude? You're lucky no one I was eating with was allergic to nuts. After all that, he must have (1) either felt really bad or (2) was just naturally annoying. He proceeded to check on us 6 TIMES during the next 30 minutes we were eating our entrees. REALLY? EXCESSIVE MUCH? Leave us alone. We're trying to eat. Rethinking all this is now making me have tipper's remorse. You're REALLY lucky you're cute, waiter dude. FOOD: The only redeeming factor in this! Their complimentary (foccaccia?) bread was nom. I got the parmesean-crusted veal chop for my entree. The crust was perfectly crisp and the veal was really tender. It also came with fettuccine with prosciutto and an arugula salad. I think the food here is expensive. This time I had a BOGO deal, so it was slightly okay priced. Take away message: Good food, but is it really worth the annoyance and price?

Service was good. Very attentive. Food was just so so. Not bad, but not great. We remembered it being better. Expensive for the quality. Definitely better places.

Romano, man. Come on! I never much cared for you, but you were ok, nice enough, edible, and pretty kid friendly. Sometimes, a girl in her 30's has to settle. Tonight, however, you crossed the line. We're breaking up and I am going to tell all my friends how disgusting you are. First, you gave us raw sausage. No exaggeration. My dad cut one of those babies in half and it looked like raw hamburger. Or raw sausage. It'd be hard to recover from RAW SAUSAGE, sweet manager lady with the star tattoos. Thank you for taking his entree off. Really. I mean, could you have charged for it? I think not. I would have comped the whole tab if I were running the place. The rest of the food was pretty mediocre. I'd put it on par with Olive Garden generally, except for the salad and bread sticks lunch. That'd be Michelin-5-star compared to Romano's. The help was oblivious -- from the bus boy/runner who couldn't speak in complete sentences to the sweet, sweet, chatty, but woefully air headed server. Oh, let me check on your salads. [leaves, returns] Oh, good he brought your salads. Where those there earlier? Oh, you're still missing your salad? [leaves, returns, someone else brings salad, see below]. Oh, can I bring you a steak knife? [leaves, returns] Oh, haha, I forgot the steak knife and you're done with your meal. Romano, man, I must return to issue of your personal hygiene. Just like we don't care for salmonella, no girl wants your dirty fingers in her food. Oh dear busboy/runner who must be family to the owner, thank you for finally bringing my salad after everyone else was finished. You looked like such a nice young man, then, I saw your dirty fingernails ... in my salad. I know you must be asking, how do you even get one star? Well, my steak was cooked to the correct temperature, that's worth something. However, it had that sour taste that comes from being cooked on a grill that something else had been burned on. Real reason? Yelp doesn't allow no-star reviews.

This isn't an official review as it has been ages since I have been here, but I hear they are having half-priced wine until 25 Aug. thinking a visit soon is in order. :)

My wife and I have enjoyed the Macaroni Gill over the years. However, the overall experience has slipped a bit. The food was really good. I had the Parmeson encrusted Sole - excellent! My wife had one of their salads with chicken and she loved it. The bread was served hot and was fantastic. I was however disappointed in the small salad before my meal. The croutons had a scorched taste and the lettuce was a little dead and not very tasty at all. Our server was pretty average, but he did ok. The hostess who seated us was not very welcoming. My wife and I thought it strange that she wore skinny jeans in a nice place like this......not very appealing to us. The atmosphere was just so bland. I remember the days when some of the wait staff would bust out singing in Italian. Not last night. We will go back, but we hope this offers good feedback to their management.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
