Okay. I know it's lame to be passionate about chain restaurants, but I am actually in love with Pei Wei and I don't care who knows. I am constantly craving their chicken lettuce wraps. Like I literally have no idea what is in them besides chicken, but I'm assuming crack must also be somewhere in that recipe because I cannot stop wanting them at least once a week. I'm writing this review because today I tried their sushi for the first time. This is a new menu item and I won't pretend that I was slightly skeptical. Sushi is just something that must be fresh and perfect - and you don't think fresh when you see a chain restaurant. But man was I wrong. I had the crunchy teriyaki roll and I absolutely loved it. It's so simple and tangy. Just so good. I actually liked it more than anything I've ever had at Yokozuna or other sushi joints in Tulsa (feel free to hate me for that, hardcore sushi enthusiasts). I think I just found my lettuce wraps new dinner time companion.

My household is an avid lover of Pei Wei. It is quick, easy and always good. We usually start with edamame, then I get the kids honey seared chicken or the traditional lettuce wraps. The portions here are fairly large so the kids is a good way for me to be able to finish and have some built in portion control. When dining here your food will be ready in under 10 minutes. Also, they have a fun pop machine that allows you to have anything you ever dreamed of. All in all this is a staple for my family and probably should be for yours as well!

How am I supposed to make a lettuce wrap with this??? Cutting the lettuce in half? I'm not even in the mood to eat this now because I'm so pissed off. What else can I say so my review gets posted? Bla Bla Bla Bla Bla

I'm not big on chain restaurants but Pei Wei is consistently good. Have been to this and the south tulsa location many times and I have always liked my meals. They are not wow but good and pretty healthy. I like their brown rice. Last time I was there I picked up 2 beef pad thais to take home and they were really flavorful. I have had the kung pal chicken before too. When we do eat there, it is a fun atmosphere, sometimes a bit loud, but overall good. Not my favorite asian restaurant, but consistent and convenient.

I had no idea that they had SUSHI now! There is not a lot of sushi but its pretty cool and its actually not very expensive either, with fresh ingredients. I had a pretty good experience because I asked for exactly what I wanted. I really like sesame chicken and decided that I liked it more breaded and fried, and they totally did that for me. I didnt expect it but you can actually customise your food a little bit there. So it was not like chinese sesame chicken, but it was very tasty! I think more people should know that you can customize your food when you go to places like this.

Probably one of the most addictive places I've been. Several healthy choices as well. I refuse to look at the calories in my favorites because it just doesn't matter. Fast and convenient service make Pei Wei one of my all-time go to places.

Not my first round of Pei Wei by any means but this was the first time at this particular location. Not their best showing. Perhaps they were understaffed that night because there were only two tables in the entire place that were clean, so many were in dire need of the dishes to be taken away, table wiped down, etc. My usual Teriyaki tofu and veggies was just fine, although I asked for no cabbage and got cabbage in spades. Le sigh. Next time I'll try take away instead of dining in. Applause though to the sushi that's now on the menu! I tried the spicy tuna roll and was pleasantly surprised. Great option!

I am always impressed with this place. Is it fast food? I dont know! My food is always exactly what I order and it comes out very fast. It's always delicious! the only thing they need to improve on is their food that says "spicy" b/c it isn't spicy at all. The dynamite is suppose to be really hot and it isn't even slightly spicy. Big Bummer. But all in all this place is great!

Almost a fast food place but excellent value, great service, good food, cheap wine.

Sturdy. Dependable. Quick. Pei Wei never fails to deliver. I usually get the sesame chicken. The edamame appetizer never fails and you should check out their spring rolls. No matter what you order, expect it to be at your table in about 5 to 7 minutes. This location has one of those nifty Coke machines at which you can choose "sub flavors". Cherry Diet Dr. Pepper, yes please. Always more than enough food - cheap - consistent - parking lot behind the restaurant on an oft-crowded Brookside - never a bad option for dinner when you want something quick and easy.

Not my first time at Pei Wei by any stretch, but it was the first time I had been there for lunch in a very long time! We had no wait when we got in, the food was started as soon as we finished ordering, and was brought to us hot and fresh as soon as it was finished! The wait staff was excellent and made sure we had everything we needed without is even asking (they brought our table a full soy sauce when a worker noticed ours was low)! As for the food itself, I ordered a small portion of sesame chicken with brown rice, and edamame for our table as an appetizer. My chicken was delicious, but unfortunately we did not care for the edamame too much. It came out still chilly and a little more wet than I would have liked. Overall our experience was good as it normally is, and we will definitely be back!!

I've been here several times and it all comes down to what you order. In the past I've ordered the lettuce wraps and crispy honey chicken- FANTASTIC! I've also tried the dan dan noodles, and the thai dynamite... not very good in my opinion. The last time I went we were checked on several times by Andy Griffin/Griffith? He was very friendly, professional, and kind. He didn't even react strangely when my friend screamed bloody murder when a bee landed on my bowl (we were outside). It's a nice and cheap place to go, but I think certain things on the menu are no enjoyable. I'll be back though.

Had really yummy crab wontons here tonight, along with with Mongolian beef ($9.04). My friend had the Pad Thai I believe. The food came out SUPER fast. very yummy. I didn't like that they charged me $1 extra to have veggies instead of rice with my meal though.

I'm obsessed with Pei Wei, always have been. Everything on their menu is just so good! You can't go wrong with anything...though I have my favorites...Dan Dan Noodles and Sweet and Sour Chicken. I could just eat there every day! SOOOOOOOO GOOOOOD YUM!

Everyday Asian food for the everyday white guy. Nothing special but it gets the job done at a decent price. What you get is consistent and predictable. Any of the fried-chicken-balls-in-sweet-sauce dishes are tasty but the noodle dishes seem to be lacking especially the pad thai... rice noodles and sour ketchup. Although I do like the tofu they put in it.. wish I could figure out how to cook it like that. For god sakes... somebody figure out how to clean the fricking tables. No amount of wet rag will fix the table tops in this place... It like eating on fly-paper. My best guess is that the dining room being in the same room with 5 fry-o-lators going full blast means whatever their vent hood horsepower is, isn't going to keep that vaporized grease out of the dining area. Still... just thinking about those sticky table tops make me a little bit ill.

I like Pei Wei a lot, despite it's unusual approach. It has an interesting mixture of Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese and Thai dishes and almost everything is very tasty. You walk through a line and order at a central register, then they bring you the food. When you order, you choose the "dish" you want and then the "protein" you want independently. Like the last reviewer said, they do seem to push the lettuce wraps quite a bit, and I'm not a fan of those really. The Pad Thai, however, and the Thai Curry are very good. I also like the Mongolian Beef and the Spicy Korean with Chicken. This food will really make you realize the low quality of meat used in most cheap asian restaurants. I should also highlight the Hot & Sour Soup, which is the chinese version and some of the best I've had in any restaurant in any country. The "cup" is just a plain small cup of soup, and the "bowl" is a gigantic bowl for 3-4 people, so know what you're getting. ;-) My main complaint here and the reason for not giving it 5 stars is that they rush everything through tremendously, which means many times the vegetables are nearly RAW in the dish. I get it that asian cooking likes to keep the veggies a bit crispy but raw is raw. Pull out an onion slice and try it by itself. We've asked the manager about it and he says that is how HQ tells them to do it and it isn't a mistake. BS I say. I guess we're at an impasse and I'll have to just keep going back.

A poor man's P.F. Chang indeed. The Vietnamese Chicken Salad Rolls was a little different than what I normally expect a Vietnamese roll to be but it's fusion.. I should have known better.. Vietnamese people don't use chicken much, it's kinda expensive in Vietnam. The Chicken Lettuce Wraps was probably the best thing on the menu, except they give you 2 pieces of lettuce, and for the remaining meat just eat with your hands because it will take them 20 minutes to give you 2 more pieces of lettuce. The blazing noodles was meh, nothing to write home about. That and I'm too cheap to buy stamps to send a letter home anyway. Overall, decent place when you want something cheap and quick. Kinda like... nah... you know what.. I won't go there =P

I have never met a pei Wei dish that I didn't like. The potions are large at a reasonable price. I will continue to go there often. My faves are the edamame and lettuce wraps, but they have some good salads and main courses too. I like the style of choosing your dish then your meat.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
