The atmosphere of this restaurant is train centric. And true to form, the service and food are nothing short of a train wreck. The good: n/a The bad: This place was dirty and the food was gross. I've eaten at some sketchy places but I was legitimately afraid to eat my meal. I ordered chicken strips, mashed potatoes, and onion rings. The chicken strips were frozen and not fresh. The mashed potatoes looked like they had been sitting out all day (pic posted) and were lumpy and crusty. The onion rings however weren't crusty, but were a soggy, oily mess. Worst of all: I saw two employees, the cook and the food preparer touch my food with their bare hands. Then I saw the girl cleaning the salad bar drop shredded cheese all over her bare hands and put it right back in the salad bar. Yuck. I really question the food safety record of this place. I don't know why anyone would choo-choose to eat here. This place has gone off the rails.

We've been eating lunch at Ollie's a lot this week. The fried chicken on the buffet was wonderful. If you are ordering off the menu, we liked the Santa Fe Chicken Salad - great service.

Our first time here and enjoyed all the railroad memorabilia and model trains (turned on when kids were there) running overhead. Although there were a lot (30?) of nice big motorcycles in their parking lot, there was still plenty of open seating in the nice restaurant. We were promptly seated and given menus and ordered iced tea. I noticed they had a buffet too. I decided on the buffet. Upon my return to the table, the food server had not taken my wife's order and there was no silverware or napkins. We had to ask for both when she finally arrived to take her order. The buffet was good and my wife enjoyed her sandwich. The service was spotty and that cannot be blamed on the motorcyclists seated at the back of the restaurant where most had the buffet and were finishing up. We will return for the good food and hope service is better!

A buddy and I from the office hadn't been to Ollie's in a couple years and decided to check it out again. We got their early for lunch and were the only 2 people there. We barely got greeted. Our waitress wasn't with it either. The food took quite some time to arrive. I ordered chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes. I don't even know what the chicken fried steak was but it was like a made from frozen Salisbury steak or something. The mashed potatoes were literally so gross I took 2 bites and couldn't finish anything else. They tasted almost chemical or something. I don't know what happened to this place but I'd be very careful about eating here. We just hurried out as fast as possible and won't ever go back.

I love the place and the atmosphere...but we HAD to stop going. The food would make all of our stomaches cramp up all day, lots of fights over the bathroom the entire day as well! (i know tmi) ollies is like a horrible clingy relationship, it will hurt you and make you ill..but you keep coming back for some reason.

Nothing amazing, but not bad. Most everything is fried and/or covered in gravy. Service was pretty good though and they gave us biscuits.

I am a small town girl. I may have grown up in New York, but it was upstate New York and in a small town. Sometimes there can be high amounts of anxiety involved with going to busier, more expensive, and "more popular" restaurants (chain or not) and I am not one to be excited about that. Several months ago was the very first time I had ever gone to Ollie's and I was very pleased with my experience. It looks like an older restaurant because it IS an older restaurant. The owner came over and said hello to us and the waitstaff was very busy, but super polite and helpful. The food is standard for any good mom and pop type eatery and I left feeling full and happy. Of course improvements could be made to the restaurant but I don't think that showiness is the purpose of the place, it's all about the family environment and the amazing trains they have all around the place. I will definitely go again and will definitely recommend this place to people.

Got to admit, I'm surprised at some of the comments, but they're from awhile ago, so maybe things have improved. Me and mine think the food is stellar! We wouldn't order the breakfast off the menu again, but the lunch buffet is what it's all about. The soups seem home-made, the fried chicken is dang close to grandma's and everything else on the line has that "made from actual ingredients by a real human being" touch. The service isn't that big of a deal when you hit the buffet, so I don't really know if that's still a problem. But when you want to clog an artery with the best fried chicken in Tulsa, Ollie's is the place to be!

We shared the smothered chicken and the veggies were grilled fantastically. The chicken was moist and the trains were rolling. Definitely, this place has the train enthusiast in mind! What kid isn't a train enthusiast!! Service was pretty good. Not the best, but no slower than most.

Oillie's is a Tulsa staple, but it has gotten older. It was a bit cool in the restaurant and my son's food was ice cold. The rest was OK. This is a piece of history, with the trains and Tulsa. I wish I could say better things about such an icon.

Ah, good ole Ollies. My kid loves it, but then again,he's a kid. He's just there for the trains. Food is horrible. I've eaten there twice, been sick twice. Service is so-so; it really depends on who you get. If you go,take kids and go for the trains. Food? Sneak in a sack lunch.

Something bad has happened to Ollie's. Food used to be actually good, now it's passable; service is slow and indifferent, waitresses literally look like they haven't washed their clothes in a month. The model trains are still rolling around the top of the room, that's about all Ollie's has going for it.

For the money, the food is ok and it's a good deal. We went for breakfast once. Service was sooo slow, but we were entertained by the moving trains on overhead tracks. The food could have used more seasoning.

Home cooking you can't beat! Love the chicken fried steaks and fried okra. You can also get flavor added to your soda pops. The trains are fun to watch and the decor would take hours to look at it all. We love bringing the kids here. Wish they would update their carpets...
