We had a great experience at McGill's recently. Did my reservation via Open Table, and we were welcomed with great service from the start. I had the Surf and Turf, and my husband enjoyed the small Filet cut. Both meals were perfectly sized, cooked exactly as we asked, and delicious. Nothing was left on either of our plates. The wine selection was great and very reasonable. The manager stopped by to ask how our meal was, and the server was very knowledgeable and polite. Definitely a great time for anyone who wants an upscale dining experience without the pretentious attitudes most of those places come with. We were totally comfortable and enjoyed ourselves tremendously. We will be back.

I have never eaten here, and this was my first time. I was pleased with the atmosphere when I first entered, even though it was slightly outdated, and maybe a tad too dark for my tastes. The waiter was very prompt and took care of everything we needed in a great manner. I ordered the Prime Rib, which I had medium-rare, which was prepared delightfully, however not in the league of Lawry's Prime Rib. I did like the horseradish sauce that accompanied. Overall, I say this is a restaurant that is good for a romantic or slow evening meal, not something if you like a fresher feel. And on a side note, when I used the restroom, I noticed that it was not accurate with current ADA codes, and if you have a wheelchair you might want to go somewhere else for the bathroom.

I stayed in Tulsa for 2 days during a business trip to Northwest Arkansas. When I drove the 110 miles to my destination I saw so many perfect looking cattle that I had to have a piece of one for dinner. I had prime rib on my mind and according to online reviews, McGill's was a great choice. I wasn't disappointed. In a quaintly elegant setting and alongside obligatorily solid potatoes and beans, I was served a fork tender chunk of flavorful steer, cooked perfectly. I'm not sure which of the hundreds of livestock I passed that day gave its life to fill my belly, but I'm pretty sure it was the sixth one to the left of the fencepost at mile marker 21 of the Cherokee Turnpike. I could be wrong but I'm usually good about these things. Anyway, get to McGill's soon as I'm sure that particular cow will go fast. If you love great beef at reasonable prices, you will love McGill's.

I was so pleased by this place. I have driven by both of their locations multiple times and was just not really interested in trying out a fine dining restaurant.. I usually go for low key. best part about this place: it's both! romantic, dark, and upscale yet comfortable ambiance. I went here for lunch and was really impressed with the prices - they were very reasonable. I had the Asian chicken salad.. chicken was perfectly seasoned and the salad overall was extremely tasty. AND there's even good service to top it off! you bet I'll be coming back.

I'm so happy to give McGill's a five star rating in my 300th Yelp review! (Cue the confetti!) McGill's has been a place so secret garden-ee mysteriously cool to me. I've always wondered what lay behind their doors as I've probably driven by it at least 500 times. It's located on right past Woodward Park on the way to Utica Square in a large building. You can't miss the awning over the front door. It's been bookmarked as a 'dream dinner' forever and after not having the best of weeks last week, my husband sweetly took me here to dine. The hostess graciously greeted us and gave us an option to sit in two executive comfy chairs at a table in the bar area or in the main dining room. We chose the comfy chairs, duh. The atmosphere is cool and dark. Soft lighting is provided with cool structures, candles and a few windows with vines around to mute them. Our waitress was fantastic and answered all of our questions easily. Local Coop beer was my drink of choice and was served a cool beer glass. For dinner, Colin had the burger with red potatoes (a value at $13) and I had the small filet. (I went all out and needed to protein to get the strength to deal with the car thief grief which aided to the mentioned not so good week.) The filet was cooked perfectly to my medium-well liking. Every bite was juicy and seasoned well. I also opted for the bearnaise sauce - a good call as I think I could dress everything I eat the rest of my life with it. My garlic mashed potato side was the perfect kind of starch to pair with my steak. McGill's, you were just as cool as I imagined you would be. Thank you!

Did reservation through Open Table! Server was very knowledgable and I took his suggestion on the chef special Red Snapper topped with crab meat, asparagus and rice. Great selection of spirits here and reasonable! Decor is old school and I'm sure there has been many a deal done here!

I hope that fellow Yelpers will boycott and help me show Greg McGill that customer service is number one in a high end, expensive steak restaurant. On 4/9/14, we went to the McGill's on 21st street... There was a very loud and obnoxious birthday party going on. We asked for a quiet place. There was no quiet. My $116.07 tab for a steak, salmon and an appetizer were a waste because of the loud, very loud party. We took our food to go it was so uncomfortable. It was obvious that the staff had served them too much alcohol. I asked for the manager, Scotty, and told him my observations and he said, "I am sorry you feel that way" When I called the next day, I talked with Greg, the owner.. He blew me off and said next time I am in, he will buy me a glass of wine.. Arrogant... very dismissive... McGills used to be the best place in town.. Now, I think they are about number 6 or 7 on the Tulsa list.. Not going back.. Please join me and show the owner that he cannot dismiss bad experiences... I was not looking for a free meal.. just an apology from the manager Scotty.. or the owner.. got neither..

We went here for our anniversary, since our usually place was closed. The inside is so sweet, nice cozy leather chairs and dimmed lighting makes the mood. We ordered wine and the prime rib. The selection of wine with our meal was amazing. However, they over cooked my prime rib and I had to send it back. They jumped on the ball and got me a fresh one, cooked just the way I asked. The service was over and beyond great!!! I really liked this location. Very romantic! I would high recommend. Great food selection! Our waitress was the sweetest thing!!!

I dined here last night 06-26-15 with a bachelor party. I ordered the Surf and Turf as did one other guest. My filet was tiny compared to the other one ordered. It was chewy, tough, and undercooked, and not much flavor. The lobster tail was dried out chewy and tough, the asparagus was shriveled and tough as well. I had a salad and baked potato with it. The baked potato was tiny, the caesar salad though was good and fresh. I paid $83.00 for a poorly prepared meal and slow service. I will not be back and do not recommend this place. Way overpriced for what you get & slow service. No wonder the place wasn't very busy.

This is a great place to go for an intimate evening. The food was good and the service was prompt and helpful. The lobster was a bit rubbery for my taste but do not let it dissuade you from trying this hidden gem of Tulsa. Stop in for a romantic evening.

Having eaten at McGills 19 several times in the last year and experiencing fantastic food and service we decided to try McGills on 21st. The service was outstanding as expected. We tried all of the appetizers. All appeared scratch made and were very tasty. I chose the aged ribeye with garlic mash. The garlic mash was good and clearly wasn't prepared with powdered garlic. The steak was very lightly seasoned, prepared to perfection and strangely tender for this cut. I'm used to wood fired grill flavor, butter finish and more seasoning...this steak won't win my return visit. Someone in their later years on a salt restricted diet would love it. I recommend making the trip to Catoosa and braving the casino to visit McGills 19. The Wagyu ribeye for two is what you crave.

Everytime I go here I always think of my grandmother.... She and I had a special place we liked to go to dinner to together... Gotta say I miss those days, but smiled when my wife told me we were going here. We were seated in a nice area, with a good group. Friends of the family, a group of 7 of us. We were quickly hustled on some stuffed shrooms.... Which were DELISH!!! I ordered a small salad, and the wife ordered the Halibut while I ordered the Mahi-Mahi... Our dishes came out REALLY fast, and the good food was hoT, FRESH, and ready to go. My fish was delicious as was the pineapple relish on the top... Wife said the halibut was awesome... I ate a few too many shrooms, and was STuFFed to the gills!! (No pun intented) Will return again this year I bet... In memory of Moon Hamra, and the great times she and I and my wife shared there laughing, having fun, and carrying on talking about nothin'!

Food is consistently good; service is above average. Everything is terrific, but I can't give it five stars because the interior is dark and cave-like.

Our family of three made dinner reservations for 6:30pm on Friday night.... The ambiance was cozy, intimate chairs and candlelight. There was a small bar area with sports on tv. Our waitress and her trainee were very polite and on cue... Recited the specials and had everything out in a timely manner. The hostess was very friendly and came around to ask how we were enjoying our meal, and of course we weren't going to be rude and tell her that the roasted Rosemary potatoes were salty and dry.... That the dinner filet was dry and cooked Medium Well when we asked for Medium Rare. The cheesy mushroom caps, wedge salad, bread, and sautéed mushrooms were wonderful though. I wouldn't recommend taking small children, although they had chicken fingers and Alfredo. The 8-10oz dinner filet was $39 and comes with vegetables they choose and a starch.

I wish I liked this place. Great location and service is good. The food quality is just not there. Visited for lunch and ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. So disappointing, it completely lacked in flavor. The chicken was subpar in quality and equally lacking in the flavor department. I attempted to help it along with some black pepper, but it still tasted bland. I found myself wishing I had ordered my husband's Turkey Rueben sandwich. He said it was good, but nothing special. I snuck a bite, not bad. We noticed the place is starting to show its age, dining area needs a little updating. On the plus side, food came quickly and service is attentive.

Waitstaff started off being sarcastic, but turned rude. Food was rather pedestrian except for the prime rib which was disappointing. I felt like I over-tipped at 12%.
