If you are observing Lent or just a fan of fish & chips I recommend King's River Fish & Chips. The batter is light which makes tasty the Cod #1 for me. Other places have a thick batter and you have to ply thru batter to get at the Cod which is usually smaller. Oh, the chips are seasoned and tasty. Now for the evening my wife and friends had dinner Saturday night down the street at The Palace Cafe. We opted to to to Kilkennys for dessert. Word to the wise, Saturday night is busy, you need a reservation. Our friends had the foresight to reserve a table. it was busy when we got there and we walked right to our table. After eating a full meal our friends recommended that we try the Freshford Reuben Rolls, man were they good. The English Mustard had enough of a zing to remind your tongue of the adventure to eating the Reuben Roll. Then we tried the dessert, Irish Balloons, miniature beignets (loved them) and Sticky Toffee Pudding with ice cream. I will not order Sticky Toffee again, too difficult to eat. The ice cream solidified the warm toffee-the battle was on. Wait staff cordial and nice. The atmosphere at 10 o'clock reminded me of the the pubs in London. Awesome.

My husband and I have a St. Patty's Day tradition of going to an Irish pub every year no matter what city we are in. This year we ended up in Tulsa, OK at Kilkennys Irish Pub. We ordered the corn beef and cabbage and it was super delicious! The atmosphere in the pub was so festive! We enjoyed meeting new people and having a wonderful time! Thanks Kilkennys for a memorable St. Patty's day we will never forget!

I got addicted to Kilkenny's in 2009; I've been coming to the place at least once a month since. The Drink menu is sure to impress; as well as the bar tenders...considering how packed Kilkenny's is every time I visit; the bar tenders are top notch and quick to get me my drink. The german beer selection is beautiful. Food wise I've ordered alot and love it all but my favorites are very basic: The RLT and The Reuben. (I also always order sweet potato fries and coleslaw on the side.) Fact: Once you've had a Kilkenny's Reuben you'll think Reubens from any where else lack taste and flavor. The Perfect Reuben is found at Kilkennys.

Before about February of this year, Kilkinney's was my favorite place to eat. Their chicken cordon bleu was to die for. I'm not sure if the chef changed around that time or what, but the food is different. Same menu, but we noticed our appetizer and both entrees just didn't taste as good. Now sure what is going on, but hope they bring back the old ways!

Had a boxty with meat and mushrooms along with a side of oyster bread stuffing. The boxty is a potato pancake that is filled with several possible fillings. The one I chose was beef and mushrooms. Another version had shrimp, crawfish, etc. The boxty was very good. The oyster bread stuffing side was equally good. I can't say that when I am hungry I think of Irish food but this was a very good meal. Kilkennys is a good place to have a beer and a good meal. Service was very good also.

I was in town with friends and heard from several people that we should try Kilkennys and I was a little sceptical because I've never heard people rave about wonderful irish/english food. So glad we went!!! The decor is dark in the evening and was completely packed on a Sat night. It is very loud and has a fun upscale vibe to it. It seemed to be mostly business casual 30's-50's range of clientele. Our server was excellent. He was very knowledgable about the food and was able to answer all of our questions about the dishes on the menu. Our group of 5 were all extremely pleased with our food choices. The cottage pie is EXCELLENT! Like a pot pie with pie crust over the top of it. Very rich with a buttery flaky crust. We shared a few desserts and the I think I could eat the hot bread pudding every day. Our server was very smart to encourage us to order that when we ordered our meal because it can take them about 30 minutes to prepare it, but oh so worth it. I also tried a caramel crunch type of dessert that I don't remember the name of, but it was just as good as the bread pudding. Thank you for a great experience, and I will definitely be back if I am in Tulsa again!

Great selection of food and drinks! Cottage pie is delicious and the fish in the fish and chips are enormous. All around a food time!

I walked into this place after finding it on Yelp. Went in at the end of the lunch rush, got seated as a one off for a waiter that had 3 large parties seated. He did the best he, could but there wasn't enough of him to go around. I ordered a burger and I am drawing a blank on the name but it had goat cheese, I'm a sucker for goat cheese, bunless (Allergic...) with veggies on the side. I should have ordered the Ruben... The goat/cream cheese spread was great as was the pesto and the sun dried tomatoes... However, there was so much grease coming off the burger I had to tilt the plate to try and eat around it, due to that the texture of the burger was way off. The veggies were nicely cooked but I got none of the garlic/white wine tastes as toted in the menu. All in all, I will try it again but for more traditional fare.

A must visit place in Tulsa great service excellent decor and one of few places that can pour a perfect Guinness my wife and I had the fish and chips and it was huge and delicious we also had the chips and callon cheddar dip which was just ok and not much cheese but for $5 was still worth it we will be back for sure

For a better, more authentic Irish pub experience you'd have to go to either Boston or Ireland. I'm serious about that. I travel all over the country as a pilot and visit Irish pubs everywhere. Kilkenny's is one of the best. It also happens to be within a quick walk from my house. How did I get so lucky? Go there, try it, love it!

Outstanding all around. I got the Craighy (sp?) Boxty ($18) that people rave about, and it was excellent (btw, I got it without the O'Fredo sauce in an effort to cut down on fat, and it was still great). On top of that, I enjoyed my beer (a local wheat beer; I forget the name of the brewery), and service was solid. A nice find in Tulsa

This place is fantastic. It is casual enough for an any-occasion place, but can also be formal enough for a date. I have been going here since they opened and I have never once had poor service. The cuisine is authentic and you can talk to the owner's whenever you are in about their mission for the restaurant in light of that fact. The baked brie is probably my favorite thing on the menu. Totally worth the money and it is perfect to share. Glorious beer selection, and the desserts are pure heaven. Also, find out when they do live music! This place is great for groups and families, for an intimate night out, or just grab a seat at the bar and watch the game.

I attended this pub with a large group and the service was great. Our waitress was patient and kept on the ball with the drinks/refills. I only had water and she was constantly checking on me and refilling my drink. We stayed about 4 hours and had a great time. It was steady and seems great to watch a good soccer game at. I hope to return to this area and especially KilKenny's

Irish pub..good Irish food...in Tulsa??? Yes, yes and yes! For this well-traveled diner, I was very surprised by the quality and quantity of this menu. The decor great. Service great. Food great. Location, ....... You get the point! And if it didn't get any better...I got the bill. Big smile :)

We arrived in Tulsa at 930 pm on a Monday after long flights to Dallas and a 5 hr drive. All we wanted was a nice glass of wine and something light. But alas you cannot buy wine after 9 pm at a store. Fortunately a customer at the grocery recommended this pub. We had the smoked salmon appetizer with toasted brown bread, the potato and the lobster corn soups and a small salad. Really hit the spot. Soups may have been a touch salty but were delicious. Wine list not really their thing, but serviceable! Service was friendly and attentive. Nice casual mixed crowd.

Delicious! Half BBQ chicken will fill you up- only $5.75! Meat is tender and falls off the bone. I'm so glad we stopped in while driving cross country! Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

Tulsans love this place, but I'm not sure why... In short, it was just okay, probably 2.5 stars rather than a solid 2. The place is serpentine and enormous -- kind of like the menu! In fact, the overstuffed menu should be a give-away that they are doing too too TOO much to do it all well... I wonder whether they'd consider paring down so as to improve the quality of what remains. The salmon in my "mooncoin" boxty was a bit "fishy" (i.e., probably not the freshest...) and the vegetables accompanying it were clearly steamed from frozen with absolutely no flavor whatsoever. I asked for a side of lemons so as to at least give them some acidity. The sauce in the boxty was quite good, but not enough to save the dish from the salmon and vegetables' lackluster flavors. My BF's chicken cordon bleu was similarly meh. We enjoyed the Irish chips accompanying it. His lemonade was not freshly made (one of the sugary ones on the fountain), but to be fair, the server was upfront about that. In short, we'd go back if other options were closed and we were craving a pint and a boisterous pub atmosphere. But the food is not a draw in itself.

Kilkennys is always a great time! Whether you're out for drinks or want a bite to eat, Kilkennys is never a bad option. We customarily bar hop to Kilkennys if we want a change of scenery from White Owl. It definitely has an Irish feel to it with all the neat decor on the wall. Seating can sometimes be hard if you're there at a peak hour, but usually it's not too bad. We came here for dinner once and I ordered the traditional Irish breakfast, which is served all day long. It came with two eggs made any way you like, two sausages, Irish bacon which looks like Canadian bacon, some veggies and Irish soda bread, which I found very interesting, but tasty. My boyfriend had the bangers and mash, which I stole multiple bites of the mashed potatoes. Everything tasted great and filled us up just right. We ended up staying until 1am just drinking and hanging out with friends. If you're looking for a relaxed evening with some friends, I would recommend going to Kilkennys.

Whenever I visit family in Tulsa I make sure to eat here. Delicious food, friendly service and comforting atmosphere. Try a boxty, traditional irish breakfast, or the Irish coffee. Just the thing for a wet Oklahoma winter lunch. Not the best selection for vegetarians, but the Vinesgrove boxty is pretty good. Warning it gets loud on the weekend nights, but if there's room you can get a seat in the room behind the bar.

My favorite place in tulsa. I live in ca now and I have yet to find a place as good. Best food. Get a pretzel when it's in season (spring) and get ANYTHING on the dessert menu. The fish and chips are so good too. Nothing is bad here.

We've been frequenting Kilkenny's on Cherry Street since our move to Tulsa over 10 years ago. The food is always consistent, delicious, and of exceptional value. What's more, Kilkenny's is a true Irish bar with the best brews on tap as well as cocktails that echo ye olde celtic charm. What really sets Kilkenny's Irish Pub apart from all the rest? Atmosphere and staff. Every time you visit this wonderful establishment, look around you, it will take years to absorb all the intricacies of your surroundings. Every inch has been carefully designed to bring home style flair from a hearth warming fireplace to a private booth affectionately known as the "Snug". From rich mottled ceilings and hand carved woodwork, every single nook and cranny of this place is full of unique embellishments that tell the story of your visit and of Irish fancies. The staff at KIlkenny's always aims to please while they present the unique menu offerings in a quick, engaging, and thoughtful way to make sure your time spent with them is memorable and fun. Want a suggestion? The staff has some sort of sixth sense and they never fail to steer your appetite in the right direction. You'll also know them well, in your own time, as Kilkenny's has no problem keeping their team happy year after year. Plan your trips to Kilkenny's and don't forget to sample their every changing monthly menus from unique appetizers to the yummy soup month, these menu gems come round but once a year. Try Scotch Eggs -- better than any we've found in the USA. How about the brie pastry? So delicious with your favorite wine. Brunch with a boxty is superb, try the Mooncoin -- a rich creamy filling of salmon and leeks. Kilkenny's offers lamb chops and ribeyes, pasta and salads, sandwiches and boxty's, soups and oysters as well as their famed Cedar Plank Salmon. Enjoy the late night menu as they are always cooking and serve up great burger and beer specials along with fish and chips for their night owls. Don't miss the irish chips and cheddar, either. Kilkenny's, a true Tulsa treasure in the heart of Cherry Street -- and a real neighborhood pub where you'll be proud to be called a "regular". Cheers! (Slainte!)

I think this goes down as one of my top 5 favorite meals I've ever had. I didn't catch our waitress's name, but she was brunette and so friendly only adding to the wonderful experience. Started off with the Irish stew-amazing. Then bad the house salad with salmon- again AMAZING We finished the night with the sticky toffee pudding and no joke this dessert was to die for. I wish this meal never ended.... It was too good to explain!!!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Kilkenny's. We came in for a late lunch so it wasn't terribly busy. I had the buffalo burger which was perfection on a bun, and my peach cobbler was fantastic. Our server Faith was super fun and sweet; I'll be asking to sit in her section next time I go back!

Awesome stumble upon, on Sunday afternoon! Didn't know we were coming but heard the fun music and had to go in! Packed and beautiful, what all good pubs should be. We sat in the bar in the best seat in the house, the Colonels table high top And the handsome Colonel himself cleared our table, greeted us and made great suggestions for menu items and explained the history of the restaurant. Very engaging and fun. The interior is gorgeous, warm and packed full of great antiques. Makes you feel like your are in Europe The menu is Very extensive and hard to decide so many good choices. We chose Reuben sandwiches with soup and the corned beef and cabbage. All was great but I must say upfront. Eat desert FIRST then eat dinner. And you must have the bread pudding!!!! To die for! Oh my gosh soooo good. Amy was a good waitress always there but not intruding. Ciders were great and the Colonel taught our mom she does like beer, with his suggestions of a flight of German beers and ciders. Ciders won but the heffenweiser was second. Just beautiful inside, lots of fun, attentive service and good food. No complaints from a very picky former restaurant critique! I highly recommend this bit of Ireland on Cherry street :-). We will be back when we come back to T town from San Diego Thanks to the Colonel for making three girls feel like VIP

Love eating here! The atmosphere is a really cool kind of an old Irish pub feel. The food is predominantly traditional Irish. They have a full bar and make a long list of mixed drinks as well as offering a wide range of beers on tap and in bottles. Their desert menu is pretty awesome as well. Overall great dining experience.

Kilkenny's is a nice spot to go occasionally, but I personally have never been "wowed" by their food. Yes, they have a good drink selection. Yes, the food is good. Yes, the atmosphere is nice. Yes, their hours are good, and they continue to serve food late at night, which is a plus. The only thing for me is that I find it to be slightly overpriced for what you get. It's nice to visit every now and then, but I haven't yet found a reason to "fall in love with it," like other people have.

"Slán Leát" are the words printed right above the double front door. It means "Cheers" in Gaelic tongue. And that is not the only thing that make Kilkenny's authentically Irish. The interior decors, the dive-y and laid back atmosphere, and the grand hardwood bar and alcohol shelves, all make you feel like in a moment everyone in this place will break out into Irish folk songs together. Being in an Irish pub, I have to go for Irish grub. I ordered a cottage pie, and a tall glass of Harp lager on draft. The pie was better than some that I have had before, which tasted like canned beef stew topped with mashed potato. I can taste the good beef tips in this, and with the lager everything goes down smoothly. If there is a next time, I'll definitely try the Boxty, right in the middle of the menu.

My husband and I stopped in here for a quick drink in the afternoon. I got some recommendations from locals saying this is a good bar to check out on Cherry Street so we thought we would stay in. Typical dark Irish pub feel with all the mahogany/cherry wood seating. The seating by the bar was actually a little crowded, but we managed to find a place to squeeze in. The bartender was super friendly. My husband enjoyed his local beer, it's just that we didn't see the bar later in the evening when it is said to be a pretty hoppin' place.

I don't really write reviews for restaurants, but I'm making an exception to tout this Irish Pub in Tulsa. Great selection of beer and delicious, traditional Irish cuisine, but the real joy was our server, Jay. He was wonderful! Attentive without hovering, and charming doesn't begin to describe him. I've never seen my mother so enamored with a waiter. She continued to talk about what a nice young man he was until we got on the plane the next day. Our outing to Kilkenny's was truly a highlight of our trip.

Every time we go here for oysters or food or just martini's. this place nails it! Everything is wonderful. Tried every martini they make and never a disappointment. Will always go everytime I'm in Tulsa.

We have brunch there just about every weekend and just love it. Nice atmosphere (though it can get loud), great wait staff. Their burgers are delicious as is anything with Guiness in it. The BBQ sauce is amazing as is the chocolate cake. The menu is rather big, so if you're not sure what you're in the mood for or can't agree on a place, I would recommend Kilkenny's.

Very cool, legitimate-feeling Irish bar. Service was friendly and excellent. I had the corned beef and cabbage for dinner. Drink pours were generous and didn't stretch my expense account. Highly recommended.

Really nice restaurant. Don't let the "pub" fool you. Any age is allowed. The dishes are medium sized, not unlike some restaurants that give you a huge plate of food. And I like that. The chicken in my chicken fettuccini was DELICIOUS.

A great place for a meal with friends, a fun night out, or brunch the next morning. Open early, especially on Sundays, which is a plus for brunch. I've had the Traditional Irish Breakfast, Cottage Pie, and many other dishes which are consistently delicious. Drinks and food are both quite reasonably priced for the quality and service, which is always punctual and friendly. Try a larger sized "Man"-mosa at brunch or a 3 dollar shot post-dinner.

Being a first-timer in Tulsa, I resorted to Yelp for help. Kilkennys had the mots ratings and they all seemed to be very positive, so we took a shot. Guinness and the rest of the draft was kinda pricy, but it tasted well. We got some sausages and the fish and chips. Both were fantastic, something I'd come back for if I was craving some fish & chips or just beer food. I will try something else in Tulsa next time, but if I'm craving fish and chips, i know i'm coming back.

Very atmospheric...you feel like you're really in The Ould Sod. Just a fantastic looking place. We didn't want to leave. Food was great. Oysters on half shell perfect, salmon, fish n chips and creme brûlée great. A great beer list of course but also a decent wine list which I appreciated. Will be back soon. Great for Tulsa to have such a cool place!

On every other occasion I've been to Kilkinney's, I've LOVED it. Today I went with a party of 7, and our service was just terrible. I'm posting this here because I couldn't find a comment card at the restaurant. The host was great, but our server, crystal, was awful. And the food was less than par. Cold pancakes. No chorizo in my Kilkinney's waffle. :/ Disappointing.

The very first restaurant I ate at in Tulsa. LOVE the authentic decor, wood bar and tiled floor...very atmospheric, dark and cozy on a cold winter's night. Food was mediocre and tasted what you'd expect Irish to taste like, still with all the good reviews about this place , I had to give it a try. I had the Bangers and Mash. An Irish tradition. Four Irish sausages (bangers) served with a generous portion of champ and soggy sautèed vegetables for $9.99... nothing too exciting but the mustard helped immensely. My sweetheart had the Jenkinstown Cottage Pie. A casserole of tender beef tips, peas and carrots slow-cooked in a hearty beef sauce. Topped with mashed potatoes and baked golden brown. Served with fresh sauteed vegetables also for $9.99. He said it was just allright and rather bland. Delicious draft beer and authentic cider though!

One moment you're walking down the most eclectic street in Midtown, Tulsa...as soon as you pass through the doors of Kilkennys Irish Pub, it's as though you've taken a step into another time and landed in a local tavern in the very heart of Ireland. The selection of beer is lengthy. If you're like me and have trouble choosing, just tell your server your taste and they'll match it perfectly. The food is as close to Irish fare as you can receive in the States. Yes they do serve Coddle...Cottage Pie...Curry Chicken Salad...burgers with an Irish twist...All of it excellent as is the selection of soups. Whether youi're here for dinner or drinks...out with the family or hanging with friends...you won't be disappointed. Yes, the books are real...so is the charm of this place...the food and the service are excellent. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!!!!

If Kilkenny's were a song I would say, "This is my Jam" This place goes to 11 for me. Unique food selections, awesome burgers (I recommend the Fat Adam), a few Irish staples and top it off with several great European beers on tap. I suggest you don't pass this one up. Go with a few friends order a London Porter on draft, some reuben rolls for an appetizer , the Kilmacow boxty for dinner and sit back and enjoy .

Kilkennys Irish Pub was quite a surprise for me. The atmosphere is great, with several meandering halls and rooms, tons of warm wood finishing, and many quaint little details throughout. The front room where the bar is was quite noisy, but the other rooms were very pleasant. We were seated in the back room at a secluded and charming half-booth table, and it was a fantastic spot to enjoy our meal and company. The menu is HUGE and a bit intimidating, but our helpful server made honest suggestions and helped us out. I had the corned beef and cabbage boxty. It could have used a bit more sauce, but it was amazing. It was probably the best boxty I've ever had. Wonderful corned beef, potatoes, carrots, and cabbage, and the potato pancake hugging it all was cooked to perfection. Others in the group had fish and chips and the tenderloin. Everyone loved their food and promptly gobbled it down. They also have a nice beer/wine list with some interesting specialty combo beers. I had the half and half, and it was served at the perfect temperature and tasted great. I can't wait to come back and try the other (numerous) items that caught my eye. I'm looking at you cottage pie, fisherman's pie, and cajun burger (topped with sliced andouille sausage, what?!).

This Irish pub is hard to beat in terms of location, food, service, beer and liquor. They have a huge menu filled with Irish/British and closely related food (probably more than a bit Americanized, but still all cooked really well) as well as some basic Italian, seafood, and American food. It's great for a group of people that want to choose from a variety of options. They have a decent and reasonably priced selection of Scotch along with a full bar. They have a handful of good beers on tap and quite a few in bottles as well. The service is always friendly and prompt. Most of the desserts are quite good, including the bananas o'fosters. The baked brie is a tremendous appetizer as well.

Great decor. I like menu, it has lots of typical bar/restaurant food and a several different and yummy looking dishes. The alcohol list has some of the typical beers, but they have tons of Irish beer and only Irish whiskey and scotch which I thought was pretty cool. All of the food was incredible. I ordered the Cabernet buffalo burger, which was incredible! For dessert I got brown bread pudding, which was one of the best bread puddings I've ever had. Everyone else in my group raved about their food. Overall a great place, a bit pricey for me but well worth the price. The server was attentive and very nice, and of course the irish pub atmosphere was wonderful.

For the past four years I've been coming here for my birthday. I like the staff (Gail, I think that's how you spell her name, is the BEST) They are very accommodating for big groups. The food, I love. The ranch dressing is a little weird, but everything else is great. My favorite thing is the atmosphere for a relaxing dinner and drinks with friends, not to bright, not too dark, just good good times.

This is my absolute favorite place on cherry street. I go here weekly. The food is always good....the service friendly....and the drink plenty. For some late night grub try the burger, fries (chips), half pint of beer all for just $5.

Upscale Mcnellies... Better food, nicer decor, more attentive waitstaff, but not the party atmosphere of Mcnellies. Let me get this straight, I like Mcnellies. I just think Kilkennys is the gold standard of Irish Pubs. The food is excellent. Cottage pie is the best in town by far. Ruebens are juicy and spiced to perfection. Even the oysters are second to none. Lots of great beer with wonderful ambiance. Little bit of an older crowd though. So if ur an Anglo restaurant fan in need of a fix, Kilkennys is the place.

Kilkenny's is a landmark in Tulsa as far as I'm concerned. The center of Cherry Street and home to a fabulous and unique menu and bar. Must try a boxty if you come here!

  • Grant J.

Kilkenny's is a bit kitschy, but I just got back from Ireland, and it does resemble an Irish pub--dark wood, deep tones, nick-nacks--it's just that Irish pubs don't have stuff with "Ireland" or "Irish" written all over them. However, the food at Kilkenny's is three times better than at any pub I tried in Ireland--there's actually green veggies like broccoli here! My favorite is the cedar plank salmon with the sauteed veggies and gratin potatoes. Not the best beer selection in town, but getting better. They have 3 Irish, 4 German, and 2 local craft brews (Marshalls and Coop F5) on tap.

I had the pil town portabello cap that was outstanding!! The oyster sauce that was either in the stuffing or the shroom cap but either way it was aaammaaazzziinnnggg! I also had the caique inlet with shrimp, cold water lobster and either a clams or oysters but either way I loved it. Let me submit up here, this is some of the best food I have had in a long time and that is not the black n tan talkin!!!!!

Quaint bar in Tulsa relative to most of the other bars in town. Appropriate decor; you can tell they spent a good amount of effort on this. Beer menu was smaller than I had expected. Nothing really special, I'm pretty sure the Bakers Street on 71 has more selection. The food menu was lengthier, but again, nothing special. Most of the items on the food menu are just your typical bar food. I picked to go here based on the review I read on Yelp, but I was so disappointed, that I'm starting to wonder if the review for this place are genuine.

Great atmosphere, great food and awesome Guiness at a good price. This bar is what I would like my basement to look like someday. Our service was prompt and attentive even though we had a group of 12 and there were no mistakes in our order or our bills. It was a phenomenal experience. I recommend the Reuben. My wife had spinach tortellini and loved it. This place gets a big thumbs up from me.

Went there for dinner in July while we were driving to California trying to follow Route 66, thanks to Yelp reviewers. Very good surprise. Everyhing was excellent. Don't miss the Sticky Toffee Pudding. As we were still around the following day, we came back for lunch! Can't wait for the next time. We bought two T-shirts never to forget this place! Friendly staff with good advices.

I've been to many places claiming to be Irish pubs around the country and this place is probably the most themed. Well done to whoever is responsible. My waiter, Michael, suggested I get a boxty. I obliged him. It was interesting. I didn't LOVE it, but it was good. Who doesn't love potato pancakes? He also said they have the best fish and chips around, but I can get those anywhere so I passed. Good beer selection too. Kitchen is open til 1 I believe, so if you're in the mood for real food and nothing else is open, this is the spot.

It's a pretty nice bar with good bar grub. I wouldn't probably go back to this place unless it was just for drinks. Eating at a bar is always a bit strange to me.

I love this place. The Butterslip burgers with irish cheese are fantastic. The Rueben Rolls are my favorite things ever. My only complaint was the one time I got the creme brulee, and the creme was a little looser than I would prefer for a creme brulee, but still tasty. The Sticky Toffee Pudding is so nomtastic. Atmostphere is great, and I've always gotten superb service there. Great place!

Kilkennys is one of the coolest bars in town. They have one of the best beer selections in town. Kilkenny's has fantastic food. Every time I go there I am always excited to try something new. The steaks, the lamb, the pastas, and cheese plates all rock. If you want to try something I recommend get the Spinach Tortellini. It is spectacular. Spinach Tortellini? YEP, just trust me. It is so good you will have to crawl out of the restaurant because the shock made you forget how to use your legs.

I've been going here for years and realized I've never reviewed it. I've never had a bad meal(or drink for that matter!) that wasn't fantastic. All the staff is friendly and goes out of their way to make sure you have a great experience. Love it there even if I'm not able to make it out there as much as I would like to these days. Ray who tends bar- Best guy ever. The friendliness gets you far in my book! A must try restaurant. You'll love it.

Beyond a shadow of a doubt my most favorite restaurant ever! The first time I tried this place was with a coupon from restaurants.com . I have been back several times, but not nearly as often as I would like! I tried cider beer for the first time here. I'm totally hooked. It is just about the only beer I drink now. The boxties are authentic & absolutely wonderful. They are big enough for two people to share. The shephard's pie & the atmosphere in the place would make one mistakenly think you were in Ireland! Seriously, if you are in Tulsa, you MUST try this place. It is in the historic Cherry Street district of the city. There is plenty of night life within walking distance should you find yourself in need of social interaction on the weekend.

I'd only been to one Irish pub/restaurant before, where everything was so overloaded with salt that I had this silly fear that all Irish food would be like that. But Groupon had a good deal for Kilkennys, so I thought, hey, why not? Best decision ever. I was craving lobster that day, so I went for the lobster and sweet corn soup as a starter and the Kilkenny Bake as my entree. They're definitely on the opposite spectrum of salt usage, but that's ok because both were so full of flavor. The best part? Unlike plenty of well known chain restaurants, they don't try to cheat you out of your money by serving measly pieces of lobster and shrimp. These were wonderfully, deliciously large chunks. Oh, and the au gratin is to die for. The only other place I've ordered that is La Madeleine in Texas, and I thought that was good...but at Kilkennys it is, hands down, the best I've ever tasted. Kilkennys has now become my new take-all-visiting-friends-to place.

I love this bar! The food is really good, the atmosphere is excellent. Corned beef is some of the best I've had, and I can't remember the name of them, but they have this ruben roll-up appetizer that is friggin off the chain. I dropped a full pint glass full of Guiness there once very late at night, it shattered. (no reason for telling this, just a funny memory) If you are in the area, stop by and have a pint!

This place was pretty damn good, almost deserving a fifth star, I'm on the fence. I went for lunch, and it was hard to pick something from the gigantic menu. I thought it was pretty funny that there is a tiny selection of 'irish favorites' and the rest of the menu just leprauchanizes the names of classics like 'Fettucini O'Fredo.' The burger I had there was one of the best I have had in a long time and the irish nachos were a good choice as well. They were not heaping off the side of the plate but they were a good size appetizer for 2 of us to share. And when you think about it, how many irish nachos do you really need to eat? The decor is very interesting, the atmosphere was very relaxing, but in order to give this a 5th star I would really have to spend some time there in the evening, do some relentless drinking, and let my irish heritage be the judge.

As Tulsans, you can only go to Outback, Chilis, Los Cabos, and restaurants of that nature so many times till you crave something different, unique, and well worth your money. Kilkenny's is an authentic Irish restaurant/pub. The menu is true to its home and I have so far been impressed with everything I've had off of it. My favorites include: The scotched eggs, fish-n-chips (a large portion of cod- beer battered and very delicious.) The butterslip burger-melts in your mouth-the reuben sandwich (one of the best I've had). And their steak in mushroom sauce is very excellent. The beer and whiskey selection is very good and the mixed drinks are great! If you're into it- their Irish car bomb is a must!!

Lindsey was our waitress and she was FANOMINAL and gave great advice as to which items to get. But I will say, nothing you get will be bad! Superb taste to everything!!! Go for the appetizer thru dessert! Wonderful atmosphere for a classy yet comfortable dining ( we went after the ballet) Will return and recommend to everyone!

Kilkennys is a great authentic Irish pub. The decor and environment is great at setting up the mood as an actual Irish pub. I've only tried a few things off the menu, but each time I'm impressed with how good it is. I especially loved the shepards pie I had there. The beer selection is equally impressive. The last time I went I had their bruised pear and it was great. Definitely a great restaurant.

This place is just okay as far as I am concerned. I came in on a Thursday evening for dinner with some friends. I ordered the reuben with a side of the mashed potatoes. The food was good but not extraordinary. One of my friends got a side of the potato wedges and they tasted like they were made from one of those frozen bags. We had gone to McNellie's the night before so we had a good comparison to another Irish pub. My friend said that the reuben and sweet potato fries were better at McNellie's as well as the beer selection. If you're vegetarian, Kilkennys only offers a portobello burger which is so boring! On the upside, the service was good and the atmosphere was nice. If I had to choose, I would go with McNellie's for the food and beer selection and Kilkennys for the decor which seems a little more authentic.

This place is becoming a Tulsa classic, been here since I was a wee little lad. The decor is great, feels like some pubs I went to in Belfast (the Kings head) the beer selection isn't too bad, but when there is Guinness on the menu why look elsewhere?? The food is good, but honestly 90% of the time I get the Fish and Chips. Which are awesome with some malt vinegar. Takes me right back to the UK and Ireland. Sometimes When I'm feeling squirrly I get a burger, which are pretty good too. Come inside and feel like you are in London or Dublin for a bit

Went here with a bunch of friends while I was in town for a conference. To be honest, I wasn't impressed by their cottage pie. Other members of my party very much enjoyed their boxtey and corn beef, but the cottage pie lacked flavor. Service was mediocore, the waiter didn't know the menu, but claimed he had only been there a few days, and had only tried a few items. When asked if he had liked what he had tried, he shrugged and said no.

I am a fan! I enjoyed my first 2 visits to Kilkenny's. I've had the traditional Irish breakfast and the bangers and mash and I could easily go back and have more. The menu is full of authentic Irish dishes for you to choose from. For dessert I would recommend the Irish Balloons. I have had excellent service and the atmosphere is lively. I will definitely go back often.

Ahh Kilkenny's! I haven't eaten a thing here I haven't liked!! The Kilmacow boxty is awesome! The cabernet buffalo burger is awesome! The Bailey's cheesecake is awesome! The fish and chips is awesome (especially after 10 p.m. when it's only $5)! The irish nachos are awesome! Everything else that I cant remember eating there is awesome! Plus the atmosphere is so much fun! It's a great place to get together with friends or just to enjoy a drink and bite to eat. I definitely recommend it! One of my favorite places in town!

Great food and excellent beer selection. I highly recommend the "Butterslip" burger and the fish-n-chips. The atmosphere is top-notch. I would rank the restaurant more highly, as the food and drink has always been of high quality, but I have had some frustrating experiences in the dining-room. Though the bar-staff has always been friendly and out-going, the floor-staff can be a little, um, lackadaisical. I am not one to complain in restaurants on general principles (I think it's tacky, personally). I make my statement with my feet. When I go here, I sit at the bar.

I have been here twice. The bartenders were really cool, but the waiter was much less friendly or engaging. My gf and I shared the reuben wraps (an appetizer for which I don't remember the exact name) . Those were really good and pretty filling too. Would be 5 stars if that one waiter was better.

I love me some Irish food and Kilkennys is the best place to go for it in T town. Kilkenny's Bangers and Mash are pretty good and the boxty I had there was outta this world!! If you have a chance to try the burger with Irish cheddar do so. The decor is really cool and a lot of the stuff is imported from Ireland. It is located in a pretty cool area of Tulsa. The prices are reasonable and the place has been pretty busy every time I have gone there, so that has to tell you they are doing something right!!

    (4)
  • Mark R.

Wide selection of Irish and American classics. Great selection of "adult beverages". The decor was really cool and ha a true pub feel to it. The staff was friendly, though a little overwhelmed on a Sunday night. The portions were good sized an filling. I had the bangers and mash and was pleased. The sausages were flavorful though the potatoes were kind of average. A good spot to hit up if you're looking for some good Irish food and great Irish drinks.

The folks at Kilkenny's went out of their way to make this look like an authentic Irish pub, and it paid off. Beautiful wood work throughout the restaurant. It is matched with great food, many traditional Irish dishes. Boxty's being my favorite. I also really like their chicken cordon bleu. I am not a frequent visitor of Irish pubs, but when I do, I compare them to this great place.

My favorite Tulsa restaurant, I was shocked to see the Brasserie was rated higher. I would take Kilkenny's Mooncoin Boxty, a savory potato pancake stuffed with salmon, creamed leaks, and dill sauce, over the Brasserie's duck breast with gnocci any day. Their Cornyeal Boxty, the same tender pancake but with their flawless corned beef and cabbage, is another fantastic choice. Don't let the disturbing presence of dishes like "Fettucine O'Fredo" fool you - though it makes its concessions to the Olive Garden/Chili's crowd, the more authentic fare at Kilkenny's is inventive and well-prepared enough to satisfy the choosiest gourmand. Classics like Fish and Chips, Corned Beef and Cabbage, and Colcannon really come alive here. And, though you might be stuffed after indulging in their hearty Emerald Island fare, you owe it to yourself to try a dessert. From experience, I can recommend the Brown Bread Pudding and somewhat less authentic Irish Creme Brulee, but I have no doubt the other options are just as exciting. But, though the rest of the menu has much to recommend itself, believe it when I say I'd take one of their boxties over anything else in Tulsa.

  • Rebecca F.

Really good food. I recommend those little potato wedge things that come with a side of cheddar sauce. It's all called something weird, of course, because it's traditional Irish stuff, but it's sooooo good. I also like the cottage pie, but you really can't go wrong with a pot pie and mashed potatoes no matter what country you're from, right? Also, one of the bartenders makes the most Dee-lish chocolate martinis. I can't vouch for all the bartenders because I'm thinking this guy has that "it" factors some bartenders are blessed with, but this guy.... He will get you drunk. They also have great breakfast and brunch-ish things, but I'm not sure if that's only on the weekend. Why would you want a huge Irish breakfast in the middle of the week, anyway? Don't be gross. There is quite a bit of seating, so waiting usually isn't a problem. And- the bar area is super cool, with some bench-ey hi-top tables and other various seating. Yay, Kilkenny's! You're tasty!

I am at Kilkenny's at least twice a month usually for a group function. Kilkenny's has by far the best and most extensive food menu for a pub-style establishment in Tulsa, to my knowledge. The boxty items are good and relatively unique fare for the area and they have excellent salmon, clam chowder and appetizers as well. They also offer brunch although I have not been there for it yet. The drink menu choices are quality as well and they have (of course) a full bar with friendly and very competent bar staff. The place is usually packed in the evenings. For a group of up to say 34 people, they have a back room which can be reserved (call well in advance). The only real negative I can think of is that the sound level gets very high, making it hard to converse with anyone that isn't directly next to or across the table from you. This is due to the great, authentic interior decor which doesn't absorb sound much. The sound level is somewhat lower in the back room until you get at least 20 or so people into it. The two waitresses who often serve our regular group there remembered our individual names after the second time we met(!) and are always friendly and helpful. They seem able to track which person gets which tab no matter how much we wander around from table to table. Overall a place we love to go back to, over and over again.

Great bartenders and waitstaff, terrific beer selection, a decent (not great) wine selection, wonderful food and a very extensive gluten free menu (important to us since my SO must avoid gluten). If you get the idea we really like this place...you're right! If you haven't experienced Kilkennys, GO NOW!! (NOTE: it has come to my attention that this review has been "filtered", for reasons not at all clear to me. If Yelp or any other entity believe this to be a "solicited" or "shill" review, I invite them to contact me via email. We can then have a telephone conversation where you will come to learn that I am, indeed, a real person who's only interest is that I am a very happy patron of Kilkennys. I am deeply offended that Yelp seems to believe otherwise!)

Our server was attentive without being nosy, and made great drink recommendations when we were indecisive. We were disappointed to find out they didn't have any Bacardi 151 for Flaming Dr. Peppers, but hopefully they simply ran out and it's not due to a sub-par stocking policy.

Amazingly authentic Irish pub atmosphere (except in an American-sized version). Great brew selection. Transport yourself over the pond for an evening's escape. Order something with potatoes from the menu. The food might not wow you, but the atmosphere is sterling. Hang out, talk, drink.

Terrific Service. Friendly, attentive staff. Great beer selection: Love the Coop F5 IPA on tap. Tasty, authentic tasting food. We had a party of 6, each of us had a different entrée and each of us thoroughly enjoyed it. My only regret, I had never visited in the 10 years I lived in Tulsa. Could be an incentive to visit Tulsa again.

One of Tulsa's gems. SO far, there has been nothing that I've ordered that wasn't delicious. They are an IRISH pub with some flare. In addition to their extensive normal menu, they have a "special" monthly menu that changes. I read a review that said this place was German food. Well that person must have come in October during Oktoberfest when they have the special German Menu. They will have Mexican special menus sometimes in May. They will have special Seafood menus or something. Anyway, point is - this isn't a "German" restaurant although sometimes you could get a schnitzel, or pretzel, or German Beer, etc. All of which was delicious by the way. You ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE the deep fried ribs at least once. They are unique and wonderful. Also, MUST try the Irish Nachos at least once. If you are bringing kids here, which I don't really recommend but it isn't the end of the world either, the fettuccine Alfredo or the chicken fingers are a good bet. They also have small burgers which are divine. The boxtys are pretty good. I read some people saying the Mashed Potatoes tasted like they came from a box.....well, I've never experienced that, but they do you REAL butter and REAL cream which to an undeveloped palate might seem "boxed" because it's different. I see many people complain when a restaurant uses real cream for their gravy instead of milk because it does taste different. They also have a pretty awesome brunch on the weekend. I have never had a bad meal here. They can pretty much customize any order. The Pot Pie is good, the Cordon Bleu. If you like the same foods as whoever you're with - I recommend getting an appetizer, one meal to split (they will bring it on separate plates and everything), and a dessert. Their desserts are off the charts.

While I normally enjoy the food at Kilkenny's, my meal today was a little lackluster. I tried the Meatloaf Sandwich with the onion rings on the side and a side of Mashed Potatoes w/Braised Cabbage. The best part was the potatoes. The meatloaf was good but the bbq sauce was far too salty for my taste. The Guiness Chocolate was very good, as usual. I'm taking off two stars for overall cleanliness of the restaurant. The mantle behind us was covered in a thick layer of dust as was the items on it. Not a good thing considering it's very near to where I was eating.

You bet I'm coming back! Couldn't get enough of it. Too bad this place is always so busy and for a good reason! 9 pages worth of options to pick from Great selection of drinks. My apple cider was a bit on the strong side but hey the Irish like to drink so I'll let them go for that Hubs enjoyed his clam chowder and bangers & mash. He said he was stuffed and couldn't finish his bangers & mash yet proceeded to eat the rest of my Boxty! Definitely try their Boxtys. They are spectacular! Loved love the cobbler! Ooey gooey yumminess with a sprinkling of biscuits on top.

Sometimes the faux-Irish atmosphere can be a bit irritating, but I think the food here is good. It's not stellar, but I've never been disappointed in anything I've had. You can go the traditional Irish route or if that's not your thing they have some great burger choices. They also have a full bar if you are one who likes to imbibe and can make just about anything you wish. Even though it's a pub I've never felt out of place when I've brought my kids. Kilkennys is a great any occasion type of place.

We went to this restaurant for lunch just now and despite it not being crowded, we were seated at a tiny table jammed between the bar and the outside wall (the type of table I would never even have if I were a restaurant owner. Admit it: you've sat at that table). Alas, we did not get the opportunity to find out just how cramped and uncomfortable the table was for dining, as no wait person ever appeared. Because we were seated by the bar, perhaps we were supposed to unwedge ourselves and order our lunch from the bartender? We'll never know. We waited about 15 minutes and then left and are headed elsewhere. :(

Excellent atmosphere, had the fish and chips. Excellent food (not MSG laden). Try the Irish cream brulee for dessert. Prices decent.....spent $38 on lunch for 2 including 2 beers and 1 dessert. I'll definitely be back soon!

I got the El Diablo Burger. Pepper jack cheese & grilled chorizo, sever with Kilkenny's habanero sauce. It's was ok. Nothing spectacular. The habanero sauce was more sweet than hot. The ground beef|grilled chorizo melts in your mouth. I got sweet potato fries as well. I got bbq sauce for them as well but I didn't really enjoy it like I thought I would.

Ratings don't lie. The burgers were cooked to perfection and the Jenkins town cottage pie was on point. Had something for everyone from 4-80 yrs old. Drink selection was what you'd expect with some local microbrews. Staff quickly cleaned up plates and refilled drinks. Bonus was the 25 minute wait on a Saturday evening!

Yesterday I was having trouble deciding where to go for lunch. After much deliberation and a fair amount of driving around aimlessly I decided I'd head to Kilkennys. It had been a couple years since my last visit. I was expecting to give a 5 star rating but unfortunately I will have to give it 3 stars. When I arrived I was immediately seated. I waited for someone to come and take my drink order...or at least acknowledge that I existed...I waited and waited...I considered leaving. Then It became more of a curiosity for me. How long would I have to wait. Well 15 minutes passed and Someone came by and said "Oh didn't see you there." By this time I was not too happy. I gave her my order (since I had so much time to read over the menu I was ready) I went with the Fish and Chips. From that point on I received pretty good service. My waitress brought me out some bread which was delicious. The fish and chips were pretty good, not the best I have had but not bad at all. Hopefully next time is a better experience.

The food here is okay if you like German stuff. Not my thing so I just go and get dessert. They have a huge list of sweet treats and EVERYTHING I have put in my mouth has been amazing! The Bar area is always packed. Nice place to go to hang out with friends!

My second favorite pub in Tulsa (If they put in a beer engine and served cask ale they would be my favorite). The ambiance and decor is fantastic. The beer selection is great, and they serve real IMPERIAL PINTS of beer. Most bars serve US sized pints, which are 16oz, or even scam the customer with 14oz cheater glasses. The food is fantastic as well. The steak and Guinness pie is probably my favorite, followed by the cottage pie. The service is good, but they are always crowded, even during the week; though that is just a testament to how great this place is.

Kilkennys is the best! Good was amazing and the atmosphere was terrific. Reasonable pricing made Kilkennys top notch in my book. Kid friendly too! Our booth was roomy and the drinks were delish. It's a bar so a little noisy but that is just the ambiance. Love it!

They are out if the doghouse! They are forgiven for seating us and forgetting us, we were there at an off time and "The Cottage" is our favorite place to sit. The server was very good and the food was good. The Jenkinstown cottage pie was good, but but needed to be hotter. The veggies were good. My husbands King's River fish and chips with potato wedges were excellent. Expertly fried and tasty. Sticky toffee pudding was primo. The fish and chips are the best thing we have gotten there, good every time.

If the Scotch Eggs were better... Kilkenney's has a cool atmosphere and is in a great location. The food is OK. There's a huge menu and tons to choose from. Just nothing really stands out as GREAT Irish pub grub. They do have brunch which is nice. AND some nice burger deals. But if I want some great Irish food, I'm not finding it here. I saw Scotch Eggs on the menu and got excited. But the sausage was very plain and they serve it with honey mustard instead of remoulade sauce? Just seems like very Americanized Irish dishes. I know the Irish are not really known for their amazing pallets, but I just think the kitchen would do well to rid themselves of all the clutter and focus on the mainstays from the land of the Leprechauns. I usually enjoy myself when I go. Even with the blaring bagpipes. (I get it, it's an Irish musical instrument, but they sound like dying vermin). Good for a casual brunch or dinner. Just don't expect authenticity besides in the decorations.

Great atmosphere, amazing food! Try the Kilkenny's bake, it's awesome. An extensive liquor and wine list and the service is always top notch. It can be a little noisy at times but just ask to sit in the back of that bothers you.

Best place to eat on Cherry St. The Decour on the inside is very rich! You really feel like you're in an Irish pub restaurant. The food is very good there, I've never had a bad meal. The waitstaff is very professional and really knows their menu. I really enjoy either Ruben sandwich, and their fish and chips! The best in Oklahoma!

My experience was pretty short-lived. I tried getting to the bar and was c-blocked by a dude in all black with a black apron tied around his waist. He knew that his "discussion" with the two ladies about who was with who last night and who was gonna get what done to what HAD to be more important than some ole customer wanting to spend money on things like food and drink. Like my new best friend, the other wait staff ignored me until I slunk away across town to another Irish bar that seemed a lot happier to have me spend my money with them.

Wonderful. Absolutely wonderful. Living in Norman puts me way too far away from my favorite pub, so I make it a point to come here as often as possible. Tonight my boyfriend and I started out with drinks. He got the Black Smith, which was a mixture of Guinness and Smithwick. He enjoyed it, but in his words, "it was just a beer." I got a new drink called Enchanted. It had viniq (that awesome glittery liquor) and pineapple juice and some other stuff that I can't really remember... It was amazing. Very sweet, VERY deadly. You couldn't taste the alcohol. Be careful with this drink. Two could hit you pretty hard. We then ordered two bowls of the Irish stew. Initially it had a little kick, and I couldn't quite place where it was coming from. After a few bites, though, the kick started to fade and I could really appreciate the beefy, hearty flavors. My boyfriend ordered the Kilkenny bake. Shrimp, crab, and lobster cooked in a white wine cream base, baked with mashed potatoes and Parmesan on top. He said it was great, but other than that I couldn't get a lot out of him. I had the cottage pie. Beef tips, peas and carrots baked in a beef sauce with mashed potatoes on top. I'd give it about a 4 out of 5. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were from a box. Everything else was great, and when mixed together, the flavors of the filling masked the weird flavor of the potatoes. We both cleaned our plates and moved onto our idea of desert: the Irish Breakfast shot. Jameson and butterscotch liqueur with an orange juice chaser, and a bacon strip to boot. Waffles. The taste after downing the shot and chaser is exactly like amazing, warm, buttery waffles. I highly recommend it. The service was good, the waitress knew her stuff. My only complaints are about the odd, out of place flavors. I think it was just an off night, because I've never had issues before!

Now that it's starting to get a little cooler outside, I've been craving a visit to Kilkenny's. Kilkenny's has the perfect Irish pub-like atmosphere, great selection of beer and drinks and a crazy long pub food menu. Speaking of food, I studied abroad in Scotland and spent ample time throughout the UK - veggie pub food pretty much blows there. While Kilkenny's really reflects the Irish influence in their food, they have LOTS of veggie options and everything I've had has been totally hit-the-spot comfort food. The service has always been great, especially when we dine at the bar and really live up the pub vibe. Siri just told me that it's 57 degrees outside.... I think it's time I end this review and head over to Kilkenny's.

The staff and the food have always been fantastic here, and I've never had a bad experience at Kilkenny's no matter the time of day or night. Never had to send food back for any reason, and it's always tasted better than I expected it to taste. I was recently informed that most parts of the building are actually from an Irish pub that was re-located from Ireland. I don't know if this is true..but...it's a good story even if it's not! When you go, while you enjoy the food and incredible beer, make sure to take in the architecture!

Loved it, loved it, loved it! Being 100% Irish (actually 93% but close enough), I can't tell you how happy I am to find an Irish restaurant in Tulsa. I went there to check it out and have dinner and it was awesome. First, the place has the look and feel of an Irish pub. It's all done in dark wood with a small bar to the side and plenty of tables. They play Irish music so it has a really great feeling of being back in Ireland. I looked over the menu and placed an order. Fish and chips (one of my favorites). The food arrived and I couldn't believe the size of it. It was huge! I had planned on having dessert but that was not possible. The food was so filling that I didn't have any room left when I had finished. The fish was perfect and the chips were a great accompaniment. The server was attentive and made sure I had vinegar and ketchup (and extra tartar sauce). The atmosphere is perfect. They have a parking lot in the back. Everything your little heart could desire all wrapped up in one perfect, Irish restaurant. Go there. You'll be glad you did.

Any big life occasion get celebrated here. I've smuggled in a puppy, smuggled out a coveted shot glass (I tipped really well to bury my guilt) and have shared way too personal stories with the staff. Ruben Rolls or bust.

Went there for the first time last week & It won't be the last time. Big fan of the place so far, great food with big portions. Sweet atmosphere, the only thing missing is the kilts. Like my buddy said if you like cheese, potatoes & beer this is the place for you.

Super awesome interior. Looks like it was decorated by vampires. And the food is good. I had the fish and chips. Very clean and cozy atmosphere. And I think a tad romantic. I went in the morning during the cherry street farmers market. Loved the place. It's definitely a place to check out.

When you first walk through the door it feels as if you've left Tulsa!! The waiter was great she was very happy and helpful..... My friends and I were seated within 15mins. We went around 7pm it was paaaaaacked with families everywhere even the bar! Now...The food is a whole 'nother story!! from the appetizer to the main entree it was finger lickn good. NOW I'm a native Tulsan and I've been missing out on that GOOD GOOD food! I had the ribs with strawberry and heaven rub.... With mash potatoes that had cabbage mix (now these are mash potatoes) THAT GUINESS THO is where it's at!! I can say I will be back KILKEENY!!!!

About time I came in here again, and about time for a review. This place is warming and welcoming even before you enter the door! Let me tell you it can be quite noisy so if you're trying to have an intimate date on a weekend night. Don't. I forgot it was Friday because I still work tomorrow, and on work days I never know the day. Anyhow, great attentive bartenders when waiting for a table (if need be). Here at 8 pm but 45 min wait for 2 people. (Ouch) but worth it, and if that doesn't tell you it's a place worth while I don't know what will. I've enjoyed their burgers when here before but don't stop there, this treasure knows no ends when it comes to delicious cuisine. They have an extensive menu and honestly that is held back to say... No matter what you're in the mood for come on in and enjoy a bite. A great place to spend the evening or a great place for a quick drink. Come on by!

Some how I missed out on going here many times over the last year. Recently I succumbed to peer pressure and went to Kilkennys for lunch. I'm a burger guy so I tested this new restaurant by ordering one. I think it was called the fat Adam, I could be totally wrong about that. Either way the burger I had was one of the best I've had in Tulsa, the goat cheese really set it apart. Aside from my awesome burger the place had a great ambiance. Everywhere you look you see beer signs, paintings, and other random Irish keepsakes. Tons of charm, great food and beer plus awesome service to boot. I highly recommend.

I enjoy Irish pubs, I enjoy the ambiance and the beer, and Kilkenny's is no exception. The food is pretty good. Portions aren't huge, so I don't feel like I've overeaten. The cottage pie is really really good (shepherd's pie) and the fish and chips is pretty good too. I like stopping by here when I'm in Tulsa!

Good food, with very inconsistent service. My advice is to avoid the lunch and dinner rushes and get there a little early or a little later. You'll get way better service. And if you sit in the bar area and want to actually get served during peak hours you had better be beautiful as the bartenders will ignore you in favor of the beautiful people if you're older, fatter, uglier or just aren't hipster enough to get their attention. How well you tip is irrelevant it seems... Over the years I've had one to many experiences like the above to really like this place, but many people love it.

Kilkenny's = 3.5 stars Kilkenny's has great atmosphere and some pretty delicious grub. First, walking into Kilkenny's feels like walking into an olde timey authentic Irish bar, or something out of a Renaissance Faire. Pretty legit. Second, the food was good! I had the bangers and mash, and it was tasty. I liked the mashed potatoes most of all; they were smooth and tasted pretty rich for a potato dish. The bangers were served with hot mustard and horseradish, which was a nice touch. The veggies served on the side were lackluster; they were mushier than I would have liked, as if they had been steamed too long. Service was excellent. We came with a large party, but our waitress handled it perfectly. She was very organized, and even made sure the latecomer's food would come out at the same time as every one else's. At the end of the meal, she didn't even add the automatic large party gratuity to our checks (which really equaled a higher tip from me because of it. Reverse psychology?).

After reading all the fantastic reviews on this place, I suggested Kilkennys for dinner on a Saturday night with my husband and sister-in-laws. Having just moved to Tulsa, I was really looking forward to trying a local place. Maybe it was just my order, but the food was not very good. At all. I ordered the cod because it was listed as a "healthy alternative" with a side of sautéed veggies and curry sauce. The fish was so dry and rubbery that I couldn't eat it. I'm in the Army so I'm quite accustomed to bad food and this reminded me of a MRE. The veggies were not sautéed nor even steamed, just raw. My husband, who got something more palatable, even commented that his meal was just lacking in flavor. Such a shame because we were so looking forward to loving this place in our new neighborhood. I will say that we will come back just for a beer. I love me some Irish cider and Kilkennys has it! I just will be sure to not order any of the food.

There are just too many things to love about this place! From the authentic Irish décor & lively pub music, the excellent beer selection and jovial atmosphere, the extensive and delicious menu, and the awesome service. The servers always do an outstanding job of juggling multiple customers and really do a great job of offering recommendations and friendly conversation. Two things I always get when I go to Kilkenny's: - If it is after 10:00pm, they have a burger & beer special that will blow your socks off. A giant, delicious, juicy burger with pub fries and a short glass of Guinness for $5 any day of the week! Or they have a fish n chips option that is equally phenomenal. - If it is Saturday or Sunday morning, we get the 2-egg special with the sirloin add-on. For $7.50, you get eggs, breakfast potatoes, a thick steak, pancakes (or biscuit), & a small cluster of grapes. They have never done me wrong on either of those options. They also have a wide range of decadent menu items, including a lot of authentic Irish options. While the main dinner menu can get a little pricey, I have never had anything bad come out of their kitchen. Super fun place, one of my faves. Makes me proud to be a Tulsan.

I really love the ambiance and atmosphere of this place. The decor and layout harken to an old Irish pub, and many of the decorations were actually brought over from Ireland. This gives the place a great, comfy feel The back tables can give a great level of intimacy despite a full restaurant. The restrooms were clean and cared for. The bar staff on my most recent visit were great, as were their selection of local and specialty beers on draft. We were seated rather quickly given how busy it was. Unfortunately, our server was quite overwhelmed and left some service to be desired. Our drinks went unfilled for long periods, and the Fish and Chips I ordered arrived barely luke warm. I know this place can do better and look forward to trying it again in the future to update my review. If not for the service on this one instance, this place would be a 5-star.

It's and Irish bar so obviously it's awesome. I'm not a big drinker but I am very Irish and the couple of times I have been here I haven't had any complaints. I love the decor and I love the alcohol options. It's a comfortable environment and a nice place to go to unwind after a busy day. If I were a big partier and big drinker I'd definitely give it 5 stars. :)

This was the first time I've ever been here. This place is great! Great service and the food was absolutely fantastic! My girlfriend and I loved our meals. I got the fish and chips and she got the Mooncoin. So damn delicious. Kilkenny's reputation precedes them. I'm giving this place five stars because of the excellent service, selection of beer, and one of the best meals I've had in Tulsa, hands down. I do not know what took so long to come here. I will be returning soon! Please do yourself a favor and try this place. Seriously, quit reading this review and go! Now! What are you doing standing there?!

I don't give 5 stars lightly, but this place exceeded expectations. Went for lunch and ordered the fish and chips. I feel like fish and chips is always a good measure for an Irish themed pub. They did not disappoint. Some of the best I've ever had. The service was friendly and prompt. The décor, and atmosphere were amazing. I loved the themed music. The entire experience was perfect. Well done Kilkennys! I'll will visit regularly.

First of this is the Kilkennys Pub in Tulsa, OK. Seems like the whole city of Kilkenny left Ireland for the US, then they all opened pubs since they missed their home town. This one is very very good, great in fact. It is more of a restaurant with a pub on the side (vs a pub that serves some food). The bar is a bit small but the restaurant extends to into the next shop in the building. The host/hostess is alway near the door (I think that there are several of them on duty at the same time) and is very attentive. There is a wait more often than not, but their estimate of the wait time is usually slightly longer (5 min) than it actually takes. The table service is a bit spotty at time, but just wave down anybody that is close, no one seems to mind. Getting your order in and served is prompt, sometime it is just a little difficult getting their attention for a re-fill (this is still a pub after all). Good (not great) selection of beers on tap but a very wide selection of bottled beers. A few local seasonal beers that are truly great. But you really come here for the food. Not just traditional Irish food but several "American" standards. Starting off with the deep fried baby back rib appetizer, sound greasy but it is not, and it is absolutely out of the world. Also the Irish Nachos are a fun starter but not nearly as good as the deep fried ribs. For a main course someone should try one of their "Boxie", kinda of hard to explain - think of a single large crepe made with a potato pancake and you are heading in the right direction.

We have always had really good luck with Kilkenny's, so when looking for a place to eat for my Bachelorette Party, I thought this was a good option. The reservation process is easy and they had our table ready when we got there. The table was slightly too small for the amount of people we had and at times felt cramped. We got seated in an extremely loud part of the restaurant and it was hard to make conversation. I ordered the beef tenderloin kabobs and they tasted great. I was really disappointed in our service, however. It took our waitress forever to bring drinks to a few of our people and she never came over to ask if we needed more. I will be going back, but hopefully I get a better server next time!

You can NEVER go wrong here. Service is always good even when super busy!! Impressive. The bartenders have a lot of character and are very welcoming. If you like Baked Brie and you are planning on going here, you my friend are in luck!!! This is the BEST appetizer I've ever had!! It's phenomenal!! I also love the Bison Burger and Seafood Pot Pie. Great beer selection, wonderful staff and fabulous food. -- What more could you want?!

I love Irish food, and corned beef, potatoes, and carrots is one of my favorite meals. That being said, the corned beef was over cooked and the potatoes and carrots I found hard to eat: dry and tasteless. My boyfriend had cottage pie(known to most as shepards pie), the texture was good but lacked taste beyond that of a mild-prepared food that moderately resembled shepards pie. The Irish creme cheesecake tasted and looked previously frozen and store bought. The service was slow for a barely busy Monday afternoon. However, the appetizer of goat cheese stuffed mushrooms absolutely wonderful and had the meal just included this, it would have been a very pleasant experience.

If there happened to be a zombie outbreak, I'd ride it out here. Right now I'm riding out happy hour with my Wife. The other day I frightened myself thinking about zombie honeybadgers. Ray the bartender comforted me with a fine local artisan stout and calmed my Wife with a well mixed dark and stormy. Thank you Killkenny's!

I have wanted to go to Kilkenny's ever since I saw their awesomely authentic storefront on Cherry Street. The interior did not disappoint. The whole place is decorated in an "I know it's not really old but looks SO convincing" Irish pub style. Props to whoever designed this place. My first impression food-wise was that the menu was a little odd. The main menu had all the Irish/British pub classics that you would expect and then some. The special menu (an insert that I guess changes periodically) kind of puzzled me, though-- Seared Ahi Tuna, Queso Blanco, and Fried Green Tomatoes at an Irish pub? Maybe they're awesome, but I get suspicious when a place claims to be good at too many genres. (I'm talking to you, Jack in the Box, with your tacos, burgers AND egg rolls!). Anyway, I had the Lobster and Corn Chowder and turkey sandwich. Both were fine. Chowder was thin and spicy. My husband had the burger. It was quite large, and the fries (aka chips) were really good. I thought it odd that the sandwich and burger came with no condiments and we had to ask for them. Our waitress seemed really overwhelmed considering it was 3:00 on a Sunday, and our service was subpar. We had to wait awhile for refills and especially for the check. Our check ended up having a dessert that we didn't order (the waitress took it off) and a $2 upcharge for getting the lobster chowder with my lunch combo. The menu advertised a $1 upcharge, but considering how long it took to get check, I didn't bother complaining about it. I was really surprised by the number of children here. There were 2 large tables of what looked to be children's birthday parties. Maybe this was unusual. I personally wouldn't pick a pub for a kid's birthday. I bet this place is great at night but just missed the mark for me on this afternoon.

Kilkenny's is one of my favorite places to eat in Tulsa. Alas, the service is terrible, not because the servers are terrible, but because they seem chronically understaffed. They don't seem to have any bussers, food runners or SA's, and the servers don't seem particularly interested in helping one another. Last time it was a 45 minute wait. We waited another 15 minutes at the table before being recognized by anyone. Our soft drinks took forever, our appetizer came out after the meal, we had no napkins or silverware for about the first five minutes our plates were on the table. These servers were running their butts off, so I am only left to conclude this is the fault of management not taking any initiative to make sure the dining room is being run properly, not hiring enough of the appropriate staff, etc. Yes, you will wait and wait for everything here, but in the end, the food is worth the wait.

Kilkennys looks like its been here for a very long time, It looks and feels like a pub, unlike Mcnellies. I also like the ambiance, its pretty chill and laid back. It's the type of place where you could probably hang out for hours, if you had the time. If you're hungry and like fried cod, get the Fish and chips. I've also had the potato soup in a sourdough bowl, which is really good.

This is a good regular pick for a family dinner. We all like boxty and this place does a good job. Since we take the grands with us, we like the kids menu - it has a good selection and the price is right. We've always had good service and enjoy the food.

Always a good choice for Irish and pub food. Service friendly and fast (normally). Everybody likes the boxty but I can't get away from the fish n chips. The other go-to is the cottage pie. This place is a great dive for anything from a beer and an app on date night to full meal with several people.

Kilkennys has sentimental value to me. We take my grandmother (of Irish decent) here for her birthdays (and every year it's a surprise because she forgets!). :-) Tonight I brought my meat-and-taters fiance in because he was being super sweet and open to some culinary adventure. For a guy who would eat at Cici's Pizza every night if he could, this was quite the gesture! We live about an hour away, but had some things to do in Tulsa. I thought he'd probably like Kilkennys since he could get a burger and I'd still feel fancy, what with their warm interior and Actual Beers on Tap! Actually, I had a glass of the house merlot, which isn't bad. Then again I will drink wine out of a box at home, so I'm not really a wine snob. I ordered us the fries and cheese dip (it has a fancy name but we are hillbillies from the Grand Lake area, so forgive me if I can't remember) for an appetizer, and Good Sport Fiance shoveled them in. Approval! For our dinners, I had the fish and chips and he had a burger (medium well) and potatoes au gratin (fancy!). I substituted veggies for the chips; they were ok. Probably frozen but I ate them because they were still good. My fish was really good, as it always is there. Fried but not TOO fried. Nice and light and nom nom nom. His burger was gone in about 46 seconds, indicating that it, too, was nom nom nom. He said the flavor was "real good." High praise indeed! I always get the same thing here. I really want to branch out and try the corned beef, or one of the other appetizers. I will probably not wait until Granny's next birthday to do so--I predict another Kilkennys trip in the near future. Service was very good. It was a smidge slow tonight but it was packed in there and I had a dreamy fiance to chat with, so I didn't mind at all. Kilkennys is a good Tulsa staple.

I went to this place on a date night one night and was very new to Tulsa at the time. The food was very good as well as the beer selection. I was pleased with all the choices I had when I went there and so was my date. The service as well was very timely and pleasant which is one of the reasons why I enjoyed my experience so much. The only thing I did not enjoy when I was here would be the crowded atmosphere. It seemed that there were so mant people all in one small area and I felt so confined. Maybe opening up more seatin would be better and also having a more open area that could accomodate people. The lighting as well wa sso dim I was not sure how much I really enjoyed it. I am sure the lighting would be better for the night time but since I went in the summer and it was still light out it seemed overwhelming. The food we ordered was very good. We got many appetizers (fried pickles, etc.) and was delicious! For the atmosphere as well as the price we paid for all of it I felt that it could have been better than what we got. Overall, I thought it was a good experience and I would go there again. The major reason I would go there would also be because it is a popular place for the younger crowd in Tulsa and I dont think I could get out of going there even if I tried so I might as well learn to look past all the imperfections they had.

This was the perfect spot for brunch! My husband and I came here yesterday, and out of the slew of places in Tulsa to choose from, I think we chose correctly! Very, very happy indeed. First of all, the inside of this restaurant was stunning. Dark wood, very Irish Pub. Books on the walls, lovely bar. No way could anyone walk in this restaurant and say, "No thanks." The menu was huge. So many great items listed. Definitely made it hard to choose what to get. I went back and forth several times. Finally decided on the Florentine Benny, which was a delicious eggs benedict with mushroom and spinach. Man, egg yolk is just the best flavor. This was a real treat. Served with diced potatoes. These were just average potatoes, but I was okay with that. It was the Benny that I really cared about. My husband got the Kilkenny Waffle. The batter was mixed with chorizo and jalapeno and then made into a waffle. He said it was very good. I didn't taste it because, again, all I really cared about was my Benny. If we lived in Tulsa, without a doubt, we would be back to eat more food at Kilkenny's. Probably get the Irish Boxty next time as that sounded interesting and different. But then again, maybe we'd go for lunch. Everything on the lunch menu looked fantastic. I imagine we'd have to eat here a hundred times to get to try everything. Sounds like a challenge I'd love to meet.

This is one of those places where you really need to know what to order and what to avoid. Normally I avoid these places, preferring restaurants I can rely on across the board. The thing is, Kilkenny's Irish Pub has some standout menu items that are too good to live without. This place does corned beef better than I've had ANYWHERE (including my homemade version). It's tender, flavorful, and authentic. I wholeheartedly recommend, and even insist, you start with the reuben rolls. Light, tender dough cradles their corned beef and sauerkraut filling, and the warm English cream mustard is an excellent complement. This dish delivers. Every time I try to branch out, I always end up going with some type of corned beef dish. The best application might simply be the Reuben sandwich, which features plenty of meat and is very well put-together. Then there are the things that don't deliver. Namely, many of the potato dishes, including their house specialty: the boxty. There's a lot of room for subjectivity here, but I tend to stray from dishes that have giant chunks of ingredients. My corned beef boxty had huge, mouth-sized bites of potato and carrot, two items that don't taste very good by themselves. The corned beef was predictably fantastic, but otherwise that dish was heavy on potato and better left to rural Ireland than in Tulsa's restaurant scene. Kilkenny's has a great selection of alcohol, an authentic pub feel, and lots of good sturdy seating. So there's no reason you can't come here a few times and figure out what you like. Just remember that being "adventurous" with their menu can sometimes backfire, since not every dish is a winner. If I wanted to branch out, I'd make sure to get at least one corned beef dish to fall back on!

Nice atmosphere. Food is better than you would expect from a pub. Waitstaff very nice :)

Big fan of this place. The burger is amazing. The prices are not bad at all. This is the best burger in Tulsa, and after 10 every night, the price goes down to $5 for a burger, fries, and a beer. This place has a great atmosphere with great service.

How does nobody know about this place? Best Irish food in Tulsa. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. They have an absolutely fantastic selection of drinks as well. I've been going here for years and it's probably my favorite place in town!

Easter Sunday. Sat at the bar ordered the pear cider a bit sweet so the bartender added a little harp which made it great. Had the cornyeal boxty which was very good. Great atmosphere for a wandering drinker in town for a few hours. Happy Easter bartender thanks for working hard making delicious drinks!

We had 7:30p reservations for a bachelorette party. The service was not very good. It took a long time for the waitress to take our drink order and then even longer for our food orders. It was extremely loud and we felt like we had to shout for our party to hear us. The food was good though. I had the cottage pie.

Stopped in here a little while ago and was blown away by the selection of both beers and food. I usually get weary of places that have such a large and diverse menu (mediocrity usually), but this place really knocked it out of the park. My friends and I all got different items, and we were all very pleased by the end of it. GO! Stop reading this and just eat there.

PUB! Open late and food is English pub! Loved the scotch flights! I did several high end single malts. Our bartender was very helpful and knowledgable. Flights available in other whiskeys also...great way to try different tastes without buying the whole drink! Saw alot of people ordering fish and chips which is the house speciality!

Cool dark pub decor, good crowd, good food, awesome oysters, good beer! There isn't much to not like about Kilkenny's We have never had a wait longer than 20 mins. Service has always been good. The menu isn't tiny, but it also isn't cumbersome. The bread pudding is amazing. They make some killer burgers, and their Reuben sandwich is fantastic as well! Parking can be tough especially on the weekends.

I've been here a number of times, so it deserves a review. The bottom line: Try a Boxty! I'm not especially well versed when it comes to Irish specialties, but these are delicious. This is a well-done Irish pub. It's great for dinner, and it's also nice for a drink if you're out on Cherry Street. The place was understandably packed on St. Patrick's Day, but the staff were courteous and helpful. The restaurant is a little tight for wheelchair accessibility, but again, the staff is very willing to do what's needed to make space. Go now! You'll have fun.

We LOVED this place! I help moved a close friend to Tulsa and turned her on to this place first. She still going weekly/daily. Great menu and eclectic selection. What they offer they know how to cook. Super staff. Good beer selection. Great beer selection, Pizza GOOD, (visited in Aug, 2013, just cleaning up my draft reviews, I reckon I had hoped to ad photos).

LOCATION: Parking is available on the street and also in the back. At night, the sign isn't too huge or bright so keep your eyes open to the North side of 15th street (on the same side of Hideaway pizza) INTERIOR: As soon as I walked in, I felt a homey vibe. The walls had built in shelves which had books and different ornaments. Old fashioned vibe with dim lights. Wood floors and walls. It felt as if I walked into a movie set. DRINKS: I loved how they categorized their drinks. Simple, easy to follow and some of their special mix drinks are a must. A lot of Guinness mixed with other drinks. Their Pear cider is definitely worth trying. FOOD: Since it was my first time hearing about "Boxty" I decided to give it a try. Ordered the Craigue Boxty per recommendations of our server. I thought I'd feel pretty gross after eating it (because of all the O Fredo Cream sauce and high starch) but I was actually pretty pleased with the size and richness of the sauce. Wasn't too thick as it looked and the veggies were great. I was told that you could never go wrong with a boxty and so far, so good! If it's your first time, try out a boxty. It left me with a great first impression of this place I can easily see this place becoming a favorite pub to go to. Will definitely be coming back.

Supposedly you can by an Irish Themed Pub in a Box and have it shipped to the US. I don't know if this is what Kilkenny's has done, but whatever there history, it seems to have worked out. My personal theory that cherry street is packed on Fridays compared to downtown on Saturdays, holds true at this Cherry Street staple. Honestly, though, I have never been to this place when it isn't jammed packed. Beer variety varies depending on the season, but traditional Irish favorites are always there. The prices are fairly reasonable at $4-$6 a beer. They also have several takes on different mixes of beer. The menu is huge. They used to just have a monthly themed special menu, but now they seem to have a permanent specialty burger menu as well. Yes, the burgers are okay, but really why do you want a burger at a place like this. If you are pretending to be at a pub, you might was well eat traditional pub food. The boxties, which are hash brown "pancakes" with various stuffings are good. The corned beef or bangers and mash never disappointment. If you want really good fish and chips, this is the place to go in Tulsa. Short story: Stick with the "traditional" menu items and get a Guinness.

I was in town on business and found this awesome location by searching Yelp. It had 4 1/2 stars and it has deserved them all. I had the Scotch Eggs, Fisherman's pie an if course the Pumpkin Bread Pudding. All was excellent. I highly recommend and will be back!

I have been frequenting this place for about 2.5 years now. To my memory, there has only been one odd occasion that I wasn't completely satisfied. The staff is very friendly, I know many of them from being a regular. They are attentive courteous. And the food! Anything on the Menu is really good. From burgers & steaks to Appetizers and Deserts. The $5 late night burger is pretty good. (Albeit small, but hey, it's $5) Well managed, well maintained and a great pub.

This place has a fantastic atmosphere. When I came for dinner it was packed but we found stools and ordered beer. The wait staff was friendly and very chill. For a pub the menu is very extensive. I think they may have made the food sound a little too good for what we ordered, but that's ok. We split a bowl of the lobster and sweet corn chowder. It was a bit spicy with big portions of lobster... very tasty. My friend ordered the Chatsworth- the potato part was very yummy but the chicken was a little dry. I ordered the Jenkinstown Cottage Pie- it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. It seemed like it had been sitting out for a while. I know this place is a pub so I don't think I should be so hard on their food. It's got a great feeling to it, and a good wait staff. I'd definitely come here again.

This house is a rock'n Dimly lit and cosy Smithwicks and Spaten on draw is always a plus. Menu is a bit daunting with too many choices. Potatoes, fish, burgers, traditional Irish, sandwiches and the list goes on. Pick a few and stick to that. I made a joke the menu is almost the side of the Cheesecake Factory (definitely not a fan) Butter Slip Burger with cole slaw side was good Kilkeny's would be a great place to unwind with friends after work or wasting a weekend away. Thanks for the cheer.

It's nice how this place is open late I guess. The interior is very comfortable, and welcoming. When it comes to the food I've been disappointed more times than not. Soups are bland, salad from a bag, basically unfrozen vegetable medley for a side. Bleh. After 10pm the fish and chips for 5 bucks is a good deal, cole slaw is good. I live right behind this place so I end up going often. Had many menu items and many average meals. More points for hours and atmosphere.

  • Nick M.

Had the BLT and it was terrible, it was like ham instead of bacon. Also had a few of the shrimp and it was some of the worst tasting shrimp I've ever had, I ended up throwing them away. I feel like this place caters to drinkers and not people that truly enjoy food.

A very good find in Tulsa. The decor is dark wood with authentic accents that set off the Irish pub vibe. I had the fish and chips which were probably the best I have ever had; the batter was thick, the fish was fresh and flaky, and the potatoes were thick cut and held up well to the vinegar. The server Patty (go figure) was available on a whim, and she did an excellent job. Give this place a try, and you'll be happy happy happy.

Kilkenny's used to be one of my favorite restaurants. Unfortunately, a few years ago they changed distributors and all of my gluten-free favorites were no longer gluten-free. I don't know why there's gluten in corned beef... I also begged them for years to upload their gluten-free menu to their website with them always responding they were just getting ready to do so. But, they never have. I definitely miss it, but what's a girl to do?

"And Shepherds pie we shall be For thee, my Lord, for thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand Our feet may swiftly carry out Thy commands. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomeni Patri Et Fili Spiritus Sancti." After watching the boondock saints I have a craving for executing some shepherds pie, chasing down some Scotch eggs and just hiding out with a couple of mixed Guinness drinks. Unfortunately tulsa doesn't kill it on any of these dishes but this restaurant is close and its a great little place to subside those Irish urges. If we were to compare Irish places to movies, this place would be like "Leprechaun in the hood," and by no means the departed or boondock saints. But after being without great Irish food for awhile this will probably be your best bet. I enjoy coming here now and often crave it so I guess they have won me over.

Kilkenny's is fun, but not my favorite. It's a great design inside and the food is good, but I'm not terribly impressed by the beer selection and it is unbearably noisy at times.

Kilkennys is an amazing place to go for every meal. I can be seen here having brunch almost every other week (I recommend an omelet wrapped in a boxy!) The menu is extensive, and I can always find something to fit my mood, even when I'm watching calories (though there are plenty of options if you are doing the opposite). As far as late-night dining/drinks go, they have the 5$ fish and chips or 5$ burger and a beer if you're looking for some snacks to enjoy with your booze. There is a great beer selection as well! Be sure to bring a DD if you plan on ordering a Grateful Dead! All in all, Kilkennys is always a great time.

SERVICE: Great. Super attentive waitress. FOOD: Irish nachos were cheesy and filling. Veggie boxy was potato-y and cheesy but the veggies were kind of bitter. PRICE: Higher priced than other places I've been to but sandwiches are a decent price. LAST WORD: Nice bar/restaurant for times when your wallet's a little thicker.

The first time we went(group of four) I got a burger which was okay. Out waiter suggested a really great beer and I was very impressed. Out waiter was really friendly and gave great service. I wasn't impressed with the food but the atmosphere is very cozy. Decor is really interesting. The second time I ordered the spinach tortellini and I couldn't eat it. It was very bland and unsatisfactory. The waitress took care of it, though. I ordered a salad with buffalo chicken instead and really enjoyed it. If you're going to go there, I strongly suggest sticking with the Irish dishes as this is what they specialize in. Tl;dr So far I've visited twice and while the service and atmosphere are phenomenal, I've yet to be impressed by the food.

I couldn't get in the first time I tried, it was too loud and the waiting list time was over 45 minutes so we walked out. The second time I called from the car to get my name down and cut my waiting time in half. Lots of happenings inside plus a merry (and loud!) crowd. Our food (cedar forest salmon & the all veg-vinesgrove) was delightful. Service was amazing and the beer selection was great. Good stop, will go back for sure.

I went here for a business dinner and was quite a fan. The decor was very ambiant, and had a lively crowd for midweek. I got a boxty, like an omelette with potatoes instead of eggs with corned beef and cabbage inside. Very yummy! Server was good as well. I marked it down a star because I feel it is a little pricey for what it is.

Wonderful eats and a fun little pub style interior. It's a little on the pricey side for a student budget but the quality of the food is worth every penny. I'd live on the bangers & mash and the breakfast boxties if I could

I have heard, but am not sure, that most of the decor and furniture for the place was imported from Ireland, to the tune of one whole heck of a lot of money. Whether it's true or not, the place definitely looks the part of an upscale Irish pub. This place has some serious talent behind the swinging doors. They have lots of different types of cuisine, most of which I'm not particularly interested in, but most important are the burgers. I separate burgers into two categories, you have restaurant style "six dollar burgers" as Carl's Jr. calls them, and flat iron burgers, like you get at whataburger or sonic or Fat Guys Burger Bar. I separate them because you really can't compare the two, one is like driving a rolls royce on the highway, and the other is a camaro with the t-tops removed. Both are enjoyable in different ways. Kilkenny's has THE best restaurant style burger in the city. No two ways about it. The best. I nearly died after I finished my first Butter Slip burger, and i would have died happy. The meat is top notch and there is a lot of it, the bun on the butter slip is one of those flakey croissant type rolls im always forgetting the name of(maybe it was actually a croissant, i wasn't really experiencing the burger with my eyes) and is awesome, be careful because, as they say, Drip Happens. They even have a buffalo burger if that's your bag(baby!), I tried it, but buffalo just has an odd taste to me. As for flat-iron burgers, Fat Guy's takes that one. The staff is excellent and the atmosphere is upscale casual. They have many beers and wines and a few awesome ciders choose from, as well as the regular liquor stuff. I'm not a liquor guy.

This is above all my favorite place in Tulsa!! They have an extensive menu with almost anything you could imagine. Everything I've ever had was just mouth watering. The service is pretty good but not the best. It's a pub tho. I would live in this place if I could! The atmosphere is great and cozy. This is just a neat place to be in the heart of midtown Tulsa.

Best bar staff EVER! This was one the stops made during what started out as a very tame Bachelorette party. Our waiter was really great about overlooking the silly things the bride to be had to do on account of a dice game. We ended up making friends with a bunch of the staff there on their off night and getting some great recommendations on where else to head after on Cherry St. They bought us shots and were really cheerful. The drinks were really good; there was a shot with sake and some sort of pear cider that was delicious. We didn't eat, but the next night we heard from some of the other wedding guests who had dinner there that it was great. Prices were pretty decent on drinks as well.

Great Irish fare and beer. This authentic looking pub had all the trappings, characters, and music for a wonderful time. The fish and chips chicken pot pie, and killer appetizers were delicious. The beers were pretty good, too! The Dunkle and Irish beers hit the spot.

We arrived starved, and left completely stuffed. The food was plentiful, but more importantly, it was really delicious, so it was hard to stop eating when we were full. My husband and I shared the Tullemore Dew Cheese Torte. Wow, that was completely delicious. We both had the Coolroebeg Cod. Definitely yum. Great service and very friendly. This was a wonderful find to welcome us to Tulsa for the first time.

Had my fourth meal at Kilkenny's this afternoon. Again the food and service was excellent. Today was the Buffalo burger. Excellently prepared and portions sizes will fill you up. My first trip here was three weeks ago and I keep coming back. Pleasant decor and noise level at lunch was low enough to carry on a conversation. Will definately return again.

We visited Kilkenny's for brunch on Saturday while perusing the farmer's market. The atmosphere definitely had an Irish pub/restaurant feel too it. It was dimly lit and was fairly empty when we first entered, but it quickly became hustled and bustled a few minutes after we came in. Our waitress was cute and friendly and the food was outstanding just like the service. The hashbrowns were delicious and the biscuits and gravy were spectacular. I would definitely revisit again the next time I'm in Tulsa.

Stopped in Thursday night for a night cap with my wife. Since this place opened I've never not stopped in for either lunch, dinner, or just a pint when I'm in Tulsa. We come over from NW Arkasnas a lot and always enjoy the food, the beers, and the bartenders here. Can't get anymore "Celtic" unless your in Ireland or Scotland. Kilkennys has become a Tulsa institution and it's well deserved!!! Cheers

I recently had dinner at Kilkenny's with several co-workers. The food and atmosphere were great...the fish and chips are outstanding. Irish Pub? This place is more like a TGI Friday's...The food is ok, I have had rude service in there (and good service too), but it is on trendy Cherry St. In case you don't know Cherry St (15th St) used to be a nice place until corporate restaurants moved in and people flooded in from the south-side.

I've been here lots of times after or in between bar hopping. Always with a large group. If you go on Friday nights or Saturday nights they are always packed but can get you in very quick. It's not a huge place and on these nights be prepared to get cozy with your neighbor. I don't mind this though. Only once did i have a bad server and it's wasn't too bad. The food is always a treat.

This only gets one star because of the ambiance. Quote from my wife "I've had better corned beef in Taiwan." Maybe the most over-rated restaurant in Tulsa.

Five star food, iffy service. The wait staff seem to be on the unconcerned to downright surly, in fact I can't remember getting a good one. And, the lights are turned down so low inside that the last time I was there I ended up using flash on my phone to read the menu, and noticed as I was leaving another table doing the same. Great food though.

Great food, great beer choices and a great time. In Tulsa for a surprise engagement for my little sister. Not sure where to go we tried out Kilkenneys. Had such a great time we came back for night #2! "Cherry Street" district seems to be growing and lots of fun things to do there!

Kilkenny's has great atmosphere, excellent food, and good beer selection. Try their special menus such as the Oktoberfest German menu or their holiday (winter) beer selection. It's quite noisy but all part of a great pub setting. My only complaint is that the beers are more expensive than many other bars and pubs in the area. Expect to pay $5-6 for a basic brew.

Not only does this place look amazing on the inside, the food is amazing as well! To start off try the Callan Cheddar Dip and Chips..it is potato wedges that you dip into an Irish Chedder Cheese. For a meal, so many thing to list, but probably the best is the Irish Travelers Chicken Cordon Bleu, it melts in your mouth. Prices can range for $5-$20. If you like cheap and out late, after 9pm they have a bar special, hamburger and a beer for $5 or wings and a beer for $5. They have many different beers on tap and they are open til 2am.

I dread having to eat at chain restaurants when I travel; I hold no love for the "Chili's" of the world. I was recently in Tulsa on business for a couple of days with a colleague and I usually do a bit of research before my travels to scope out a good place to eat. Being that I am of a healthy Irish descent myself, three generations removed, Kilkenny's definitely caught my eye. I'm somewhat spoiled with Fado's in DC so I had high hopes; I was certainly not disappointed. The waiter was awesome. They made a black velveteen (half Guinness/ half hard cider) for me. The brown bread oyster stuffing was amazing. I will definitely visit again if I am ever in Tulsa again.

Love the look of KilKennys. Its a bit of a mixed review for us though. We have been there a few times. I have tried Cottage pie.. Its alright.. not that great. Bangers and rashers. Rashers good.. bangers not so much. I suppose its a tradtional banger... but texture wise im not a fan. Celtic club sandwich is probably been my favorite so far. Very good pimento cheese spread. Hubby got the fish and chips which is one of his favs says the fish is close to what he had in ireland. Three castles (buffalo) was not reallly described in words more of moans of how good it was! lol But I have to say that the main reason i suggest kilkennys is... the irish balloons.. mmhmmm to die for! That sauce is sooo good and the balloons are so tasty and fresh! Put a tub of the sauce in my trunk and im a happy camper for years :) I would suggest Kilkennys just for atmosphere alone.. good beer lots of choices of your favorite ales. Hubby says it looks very similar to irish pubs in ireland. So go check it out. Just dont be in a hurry.. as the tradtional irish pub goes.. your there to relax and have a good time!

Went there for dinner in July while we were driving to California trying to follow Route 66, thanks to Yelp reviewers. Very good surprise. Everyhing was excellent.

Cosy pub atmosphere and great pub food! Corned beef an cabbage was perfect. Try the chicken pot pie- delicious.

Having had fish n chips at the source (both London and Dublin), I can say with some confidence that these are some damn good FnCs. So good that we had to order a second order...

  • Brad M.

I loved the variety of the menu. The porkchop in apple cider cream sauce was yummy. The service was pretty slow the night we visited or I would have given 4 stars.

Best Irish PUB in Tulsa. Great food, attentive staff, has a very old world feel to the atmosphere and good selection of beers...

  • Scott W.

  • Rebekah M.

    (1)
  • Ramon O.

    (4)
  • Carrie S.

Excellent atmosphere, had the fish and chips. Excellent food (not MSG laden). Try the Irish cream brulee for dessert. Prices decent.....spent $38 on lunch for 2 including 2 beers and 1 dessert. I'll definitely be back soon!

Great atmosphere! Quiet and darker than I'm used to, but the decor was refreshing. Food was awesome and the larger mimosa did not disappoint!!!

Great food (everything there is good), strong drinks and great atmosphere. Might be the best restaurant/pub in Tulsa. Friendly/attentive service there is also a major plus.

  • Marc M.

Great atmosphere- just what we needed after a long drive up from Texas! The "boxty" was superb and the "bangers and mash " classic. Our server was friendly very helpful and knowledable -and timely as well. Nice selection of craft brews on tap too. Worth the trip!

Love this place. Great beer selection! Also, after 10 pm it's only $5 for burger, fries, and a half pint of beer. amazing deal for sure. Will be back probably weekly

Really yummy food. Attentive and quick service. Offer Gluten free optiins. Chicken strips for kids menu was a little dry, but they offer fresh fruit cup instead of fries.

So good. Great atmosphere for a fun dinner or a late night burger and beer. My wife and I each got the $5 Burger and Beer deal. Put whatever add-ons you want and you're good to go! You need to eat here.

This is a good regular pick for a family dinner. We all like boxty and this place does a good job. Since we take the grands with us, we like the kids menu - it has a good selection and the price is right. We've always had good service and enjoy the food.

Big fan of this place. The burger is amazing. The prices are not bad at all. This is the best burger in Tulsa, and after 10 every night, the price goes down to $5 for a burger, fries, and a beer. This place has a great atmosphere with great service.

Always a good choice for Irish and pub food. Service friendly and fast (normally). Everybody likes the boxty but I can't get away from the fish n chips. The other go-to is the cottage pie. This place is a great dive for anything from a beer and an app on date night to full meal with several people.

Had the BLT and it was terrible, it was like ham instead of bacon. Also had a few of the shrimp and it was some of the worst tasting shrimp I've ever had, I ended up throwing them away. I feel like this place caters to drinkers and not people that truly enjoy food.

  • Wil O.

  • Benjamin I.

  • Matthew M.
