Amazing view!! Patio is a great place to watch the sunset while having some sushi and cocktails. The inside is extremely noisy and would recommend sitting outside if you can. Went once for dinner during the week and the waitress was very clumsy, dropped things, brought wrong drinks with the excuse " they never trained us on the drinks", and then brought the check before we were even finished eating (we would have stayed and dank more) because she " had a migrane". The food was good, so came back. It was a busy Friday night after 8:00, but the service once again was lacking. The waitress greeted us very briskly asked what we wanted to drink. My dad and I were ready but my sister wasnt sure, but instead of offering a drink suggestion, she said she'd " come back" rather rudely. The food came out in a timely manner and the tuna wonton nachos were amazing! The drinks just took so long! They ran out of sake cups, so the server came and apologized but left my sisters martini and her boyfriends beer sitting by the bar for over 10 minutes while she waited for cups for the sake, when we would have preferred for her to at least bring the drinks that were ready rather than leaving them sit. It took about 20 minutes each time to get a drink.

We recently found In The Raw South, and found it exceptional. Great food, a little pricey, excellent and timely service. Between the sushi, salads, and cooked food assortments, the biggest questions was what to try first! I've had the fish tacos - corn meal crusted Halibut - AWESOME. The cooked shrimp roll was wonderful, and the salad my wife order (and shared) had cranberries and such on it, that was delicious! We'll be back!

I went there for lunch with 2 other colleagues. Just like the other reviews have said, it is pricey but the food is quite good. The salad is great with the ginger dressing. If the weather is good, I suggest sitting outside as the place is situated on a hill with a nice view. 2 salads, 1 soup, 1 appetizer, 3 rolls, 3 soft drinks = $90 with tip.

The edamame is simply fantastic! I cannot even describe how great it is and that's too bad for them, because I don't know if I can order anything else.

The two stars are not for the food. I love the food. I was in town for business and went here on a Monday night at 8:45 with a friend. We ordered drinks and salad and told the waitress (who was very nice) that we would decide on our sushi after our martinis arrived. She told us the kitchen was closing in 10 minutes so if we wanted sushi we needed to order. We said oh we thought you closed at 10. She said they decided to close at 9 b/c it had been kind of slow but we could stay and eat. Bar stools were put up on bar before we left before 10. There were other people in the restaurant as well. Why have hours if you're not going to follow them...

Awesome experience with this excellent Asian fusion restaurant offering incredible sushi and many other delicious choices. Had the Dunwell Salad...seared tuna with chopped tomatoes, scallions, feta cheese and fresh mixed greens. Also a sushi roll with eel, crab, tuna that had incredible flavor. Excellent service. Great cocktails. Fresh ingredients, fresh herbs, great service were the key this establishment. I was just traveling through Tulsa. A restaurant like this is definitely worth a return list.

Dallas girl stuck in Oklahoma for her birthday!!! we found this sushi restaurant by searching yelp reviews, which are always helpful when i am traveling. there was a wait so we just sat at the bar and decided to have dinner at the bar. The service was okay. A lovely long blond haired girl behind the bar.....I wished I had gotten her name but she definitely saved the experience with her knowledge. The sushi didnt compare to the grade in Dallas but the roll we got was amazing!!!! and the only way we knew about it is because we spoke to the waitress. They had Asahi on draft....which i have never seen. the prices were definitely higher than what we are used to paying??? the view was actually beautiful, I did not expect it at all as we drove to the restaurant.

best place in Tulsa for sushi, hands down! They are very efficient and their wait staff are very friendly and professional. This restaurant is a great place for a date or a group dinner. I highly recommend the Ginger Roll and the Chad roll...they are not on the menu, but worth ordering anyways, you won't be disappointed, I guarantee that!

What's amazing about this place is not the decent sushi, sashimi and sake collection, it is pack full of middle American complete with cowboy boots and hats enjoying this stuff. It is the epitome of how far tastes had changed. Not only are they driving Toyota pickup trucks but enjoying sushi with family on a Friday night. We ordered crab dip, spicy tuna tartar for starters. Drink was Sapporo Ichiban and Geikikkan's Horin sake cold. Main course was a collection of sashimi and sushi. Not terribly fresh but way beyond expectation for this part of the country. The setting is hill top with a great view all the way to downtown.

This particular location is disappointing. The food is consistent with the other branches but the service is far from it. Went on New Year's Eve for the special. Arrived promptly and sat at our reserved table which we were unknowingly placed in the very back, right against the kitchen doors where the waiters were constantly squeezing by with food. The noise level was much louder and we couldn't even see outside for a romantic view of the last sunset of the year. Our waiter was surely new and didn't have any recommendations for us or "I don't know what it tastes like". We still chose the 6151 roll which by surprise came out looking like a casserole more than a roll at all. Very sloppy presentation. I've been dining at ITR for years and the first time I get the most expensive roll I am mostly disappointed in the lack of creativity and skill level of this roll. I've seen more beautiful creations from an all-you-can-eat buffet. The roll was good, no doubt, but come on, I shouldn't have to slurp it with a straw. I also feel no one should have to sit by the kitchen entrance with no view of the city. Will be going to brook side from now on. Each visit has been a little wore than the last.

Very small sushi rolls and very expensive. Mostly a yuppie bar with lots of ambience and bad service.

We are BIG (hence all caps) Sushi fans and were pumped based on the reviews. Honestly, it didn't live up to our expectations. Maybe it was the choice of rolls but what we ate tasted more like cooked fish than sushi. The view is pretty cool if you can grab the sunset on the patio and the ambiance is nice. Lots of life in the place. In summary: nice view, lots of life, stay with the simple rolls

The sushi was good and the view made it even better! The seating out on the deck provides a great view of Tulsa. Get there for an nice sunset dinner, if you go earlier than that you'll need sunglasses and could get a little warm. Try the large "Saki Bomb", it's a very fun drink to share with friends!

Went there Saturday night.... Truly was great food... They always out perform themselves, but this Saturday was a special one... We were in fairly early, so we sat at the bar for a more panoramic view. Wife ordered a martini and I ordered a beer. I swear, we had no less than 3 servers to ourselves. The service was spectacular. Appetizer was the Fried Pork Gyoza... Delish- but the dipping sauce could have had a touch of more flavor, then the ITR salad with chicken..... Food, as always was SPOT ON. We had the "high rollers" sushi combo.... Was really really good finished off by the Chocolate Gateau. Always impressive... This is probably my best sushi staple in the city of Tulsa....

Great place and very cool view of the city. Sushi raw combos are great. Sushi bar menu is your regular sushi but they also have teriyaki bowls wraps and salads. Very good place overall. Go check it out.

Not my cup of tea! No fried catfish but a mean halibut steak! Matter of fact , it was delicious! My Wingman had a huge Filet that he loved. Rest of the crew had rolled up raw fish that they all loved! Go figure, I've been fishing from Flippin' to Destin and never thought about eating stuff like that! Dinner was enjoyed by all. Service impeccable with friendly beautiful staff. Can't wait to go back for the filet.

Service was terrible. Guy at bar thought he was too cool for school. One of those, "im way too Cool to be serving yiu" guys. The only reason I enjoyed my visit was because of a cute waitress named Lauren made me feel welcome. Sushi was ehhh, won't be back.

The 61st & Sheridan location has been a favorite of ours for a long time. The views are phenomenal and so we decided to go there for our 22nd anniversary. It was busy at first but soon thinned out after about 30 minutes and they sat us. We ordered drinks then two other tables were sat near us. It wasn't long before we noticed our drinks were sitting at the bar, waiting for our waitress to pick them up so I began watching our waitress hug and flirt with some guys standing by the kitchen. Finally, she served the table next to us (one of the two who had been sat after us) so we reminded her we had ordered drinks which she promptly retrieved. The problem by now is that the drinks were melted so we asked her with a smile if she could try again. By now, the timing of the waitress was apparently off as she had already taken food orders from both other tables and sat appetizers then disappeared again. The manager came outside so I asked him if we could have a different waitress as ours was not focused on us. He accommodated us but the second waitress was apparently busy with her other tables. Long story short - the other two tables were already eating before we could even place our order which was now taking forever for some reason again and out of frustration I got up and found the manager to bring this to his attention again and - to me, it appeared the evening was winding down and the focus had shifted to closing activities rather than taking care of those who had arrived by 8:30. There was just a blank, non-managerial, uninterested in resolving the issue approach he took that led me to ask if we could simply leave. He made no attempt to step in and lead a derailed situation back into success and it was as if he was just ready to get out of there. It was a very disappointing experience but it was compounded by an amazing display of blatant dereliction by the manager. I hope if we do go back there, he will not be managing.

In the Raw South has the best view in Tulsa. Perched on top of a hill, it overlooks the valley. On the amazing fall day I was there, the trees changing colors made for a fantastic view. I went here with the Hubs, Brotha-in-law, and Brotha-in-law's wife for a lunch the day after Thanksgiving. At first we thought the place might be closed because there was only one other car in the parking lot. Alas! They were indeed open and onward we ventured for a break from the turkey and stuffing. Out waitress was patient with our "What do I want to drink? Hmmm..." responses. Our glasses of wine were brought out quickly and the menu was full of great sushi options. The Hubs and I started off with some miso but were a tad disappointed. It was a little too full of mushrooms and tofu and really lacking on the broth. If I were to use a rating system, the soup got 2 out of 5 whisks. When it comes to sushi, the simpler the better in my opinion. We stuck to the nigiri trio and two spicy tuna rolls. The spicy tuna was a little more peppy than what I had planned on but overall, not too bad. I give it 4 whisks. The nigiri was a trio of tuna, white fin tuna, and salmon. I found the fish to be very fresh! Sadly, I had asked the there be no wasabi placed on the nigiri but came to find that there indeed was. I give this 2 whisks. Service was great and the food fairly good! I would definitely come back here for a late Friday night sushi date and would for sure order one of the martinis (they sounded so delicious!). Overall, 3 whisks but I'm sure on a more lively night this place really ups the ante.

One of the must have when in Tulsa. Great atmosphere topped off with better fresh sushi. Have not had a bad roll or app here yet! Keep up the good work!

Great atmosphere. The city view while having dinner was an added bonus. The waitress was helpful in providing recommendations on which sushi to try...everything was so good! No complaints from me.

I just moved to Tulsa from Southern California and I have to say that I have been spoiled for a very long time with fresh fish and awesome sushi. Went here 'coz of the reviews and I have to say that I was really underwhelmed with the food. First of all, the nigiris were not fresh tasting and the rice were a little on the hard side. This Asian girl was not happy about that. And the rolls tasted good probably because almost everything was either deep fried or has cream cheese. Will I come back here? Probably not.

Went out tonight to try something new, and my boyfriend and I really heard great things about this location. Of course there is the view, which is amazing .. but it stops there. Got a table really fast the place was loud, but it was a football night.. so it was understood. The table we got was really of tilt and or waiter noticed didn't move us, but fixed it after he saw us trying to. Now the pricing of the sushi is ..eh. I usually get a basic roll then something more expensive. Coming out to about $17 max all together. Here it's hard to do that or we would end up paying $25+ easily per person. That may be a downfall for others. Also for at 8.50 I got 6 pieces in my roll, and was expecting atleast 8. This is just for those who concider price. Now the service the waiting staff seemed nice, and the waiter we got seemed newish.... He was timely everything was good. He said kind of socially awkward jokes, we laughed anyway. When he cleared the table he asked about desert, and I said No thank you (going to the movies after .. so popcorn!) Then he fires of one of those socially awkward jokes saying, "Man you said that fast, are you on a diet or something." I just started laughing out of awkwardness I shrug it off and said, "No, but you shouldn't say that to a lady." He then realised. Overall you could get better sushi and atmosphere else where in the town, but I could understand going here out of convince. I wouldn't make the drive south for this though.

This location has a great view. You can see the buildings downtown, it's best during the sunset. I started out with sake bombs (first time trying it this way) & it was good. I don't even like beer but it goes down smooth with the combination of the sake. They have a special menu of rolls that are not on their regular menu. I wouldn't have known that if it wasn't for the waiter (who was quite entertaining). I got the Red River roll. Scallops, special spicy sauce, I really couldn't remember what it was rolled in but I know it was slightly deep fried, which made it even better. Had some other seafood components as well. Some of the best sushi I've ever had.

I love this place. Hands down best sushi in Tulsa. We sit at the bar for better service. The decor is pretty and fun, and the view is spectacular at sunset especially. The drinks are good but a bit pricey. Some people feel the menu prices at too high but they are overlooking the quality and preparation. The products are superior and prepared well every time. They are feat at "hot food hot" and "cold food cold"- extremely important for flavor and texture of raw fish.

Remember that we're grading on a curve. In a city where the 3rd best sushi option is the pre-made dog food at Reasors (always inspect closely to make sure it's not gray before completing your purchase!) In the Raw seems downright heavenly. As with all smart Capitalists, they charge more because they can. It's not outrageous, but don't expect to walk in with $10 and leave sated! Decor is a nice post-mod set-up and the view is a nice feature - especially at sunset!

  • Eagle N.

This is some of the best views in Tulsa. I love being there for dinner and seeing the lights of the city. The first time we had a New York roll and a Cody roll between the two of us. Right now we are all about the Nirvana roll. So good I wish we could go everyday. The Brookside location seems to attract a more 'look at me' crowd. So, South is my favorite for the simple fact that I feel no shame for showing up in sneakers. The staff is very attentive but not in a lurking way. I have tried other sushi places in Tulsa but there is just nothing that comes close to In The Raw.

  • Sue D.

Good quality sushi. Prices are about average - high, I'm sure it's b/c of the location and view. The rolls were not very big, but tasty sure. The sake and hibiachi (salmon and yellowtail) sashimi were just ok. I like my raw fish to be COLD, which it wasn't. The edamame was the best I've ever had. The chef tosses them in a delicious seasoning and I ordered mine with a side of spicy ponzu sauce. Just FABULOUS for dipping. Lastly, we ordered the chocolate euphoria - delish! Chocolate cake, raspberry sauce and whipped cream :) I will come back here when I have visitors in town so they can enjoy the view and ambiance of "trendy suburbia", but wouldn't dine here on a regular basis.

Really glad we picked this. My favorite thing about this place was definitely the hilltop location with a great view. The ambiance combined with the solidly good sushi and great sake made it a really enjoyable experience. The service was a bit to be desired, but not bad enough for me to really notice or be bothered. And probably a tad overpriced for what you get. I'd probably pop by again if given the chance.

I'm from LA so I've had some pretty good sushi. This place has great salmon sashimi as well as some great rolls. My recommendations would be the Cody 2 Roll and the Nirvana Roll. Great ambience and good view of Tulsa. The nicer rolls are a little pricey so this place is perfect for business expenses. I typically grab a drink two rolls and sashimi for about $50.

    (4)
  • Harold S.

After reading the reviews on Yelp, I decided to give it a shot. Average at best, with that are servers are too busy keeping each other company then attending to patrons. The rolls are rather small and for the price, it's not on my list of recommends. Three stars is generous.

This place has an awesome view and vibe. I liked it alot. The sushi was good for Tulsa, Tulsa sushi restaurants will likely never get a 5 from me. Good place for a date!

I am in town for business and went here. I am from San Diego. This place is super on par but you pay a small premium for the location in Tulsa. Very nice digs. Up on a hill and very nice views of downtown skyline, even if it is a small skyline. Food and service were fantastic. By myself I got 4 rolls, aedemame, a salad, sake and a glass of wine. Bill came to $60. On a business trip, well worth it!

Overall food is decent. Service wasn't the best but a heck of a lot better than the Peoria st ITR. Oddly enough I don't even come here for the sushi, which is mediocre or worse. I like the ITR salad ( chicken breast on iceberg with ginger, sesame, vinegar, almonds and fried wonton strips).

Sushi was pretty good. I wasn't expecting the best being we were in Tulsa but still it was pretty good. The atmosphere was LOUD. I understand this is see and be seen place but I couldn't hear my date talk very easily. The service was good, especially at the bar. Parking was a pain due to the amount of people there on a Wednesday night. I reccommend reservations!

I give the food a three possibly a four, but service was terrible. Took over 40 minutes to get our food. Our server was too busy chatting with people she knew. It was very loud and crowded.

For sushi in Tulsa - Love this place. Have not had a bad experience yet and I have been several times. It is great in the summer with the outdoor patio and view. The sushi rolls on the menu are tasty and they customize any of them beautifully. Wine selection is decent and the waitstaff, is usually very busy but good. Atmosphere...nice. Parking is the only ehhh...but once inside...who cares!

Just returned from another table of 13 seating. I think we put the "see and be seen" crowd back a little, but hey... we like eating out with our family and my kids can wield chopsticks better than most 30 somethings. 1). Restaurant would be better if they installed misters on deck. They are not expensive and make outdoor dining in Oklahoma more enjoyable. 2). It would be smart for them to add some meat entrees just for the odd guest in a party that can't wrap their head around sushi. 3) Menu is good for Tulsa, not fantastic, but good. My guess is that the average patron isn't very versed in Sushi culture, and many of the traditional elements are not present in the presentation or experience. Photo's in their menu might help. I noticed much of the menu is smoked, fried, or otherwise prepared. Still good, just not hard core sushi. 4). The place was packed... still we sat 13 people in about 5 minutes with no reservation. We chose to sit out on the deck, which at 101 F is hot (note again, get some misters please). It was good though. On the menu, again, there are cool things to add for summer dining. ** COME ON CHEF's be a little creative. 5). The price was kinda steep for the experience, but not terrible. I think we dropped $230 with tip. That's like $15/each or so. 6). I saw another review that mentioned that the sushi was not cold. That is true for us too. The plates should be chilled, especially in a hot place like Ok in August. It would improve the sushi. We'll be back again, but there are some easy things management could do to bump up their stars a little. Oh, desert... they totally missed that one, they offered us more sushi. Never saki was suggested (which is a missed opportunity for them). PEOPLE ARE INTO EXPERIENCES, that is what they should be selling. LASTLY - Subscribe to their text feed, you might get a deal or two.

Appetizers are good, service is friendly, although the hostess didnt appear to enjoy being there. Service is VERY VERY slow. We were one of only 4 tables in the restaurant. We waited for 45 min to get our food. Didn't realize it took that long to prepare sashimi. Lots of staff standing around while our wonderful server was busy. None of the staff including the manager felt a need to help her. It was obvious that our food was prepared looooong before it was delivered to our table. I'm from San Diego so I didn't expect the food to be spectactular. It was average, although my salmon did taste llike it had been frozen, YUCK!! I suggest that management works on preparing and training their kitchen staff. Sushi is to be considered edible art. I feel they don't really "get it". They need to work on their knife skills and presentation. The edamame was great. If you are looking for a place to get great edamame then this is your place. This place does have potential, they just need to pay attention to small details and take a bit more pride in their product. I feel this place doesn't have much competition and that's why they don't put forth max effort. I will give it another shot in a year. Please do not judge all sushi restaurants based on this place. Sushi should be a fun experience for all!!!

I attended In the Raw as part of a larger group and in that sense so the menu was fixed. We had a very nice room just off the host desk and when we arrived there were appetizers nicely set up at the back of the room. The sushi rolls, satay and deep fried chicken (?) were good. Halibut was one of the dinner choices. I thought that this would be a great choice given how much seafood must past through In the Raw. The halibut arrived with a pungent, blue cheese sauce that pretty much obliterated the fish both visually and the taste. The fish was completely overcooked to the point of dry, chewiness. I am not sure what possessed the chef to take a great cut of fish like halibut and subject it to a palate wipe-out. There was no mention of this sauce so I asked my waiter to have the fish prepped with no sauce. At this point, he made a flourished show of checking the menu to see if the sauce had been mentioned (you would think he'd have been aware of what was on the menu) then took the fish back. The host of the meeting was taken aback with the waiter's menu double-check. The fish re-arrived and it became evident why the fish had been disguised under the cheese sauce - it was a pre-cut and I suspect a pre-prepped square of fish. It was grossly overcooked. It is a shame given just how good lightly prepped halibut can be. The kitchen and wait staff had a very difficult time serving the group with one hiccup after another. Finally, the dessert, a chocolate cake was dry and randomly garnished with whipped cream - though it did not stop me from eating it! Reading some of the other reviews, I would likely come back to eat in the main dining room though would hesitate to be part of a group here again.

This is my favorite happy hour spot! I love Beth and Derrick and the rest of the crew. As of native Tulsan I love sipping my wine and admiring the beautiful view! The rolls are great. I recommend the, spicy yellowtail, and the California roll. Great food, great service, a great view for a great price. Enjoy!

So my husband and I made reservations for 7:30 on a Saturday night and planned on going after seeing a movie. The movie was over sooner than we expected so we went to the restaurant about an hour early to see if we could get in. We waited about 20 minutes before being seated, which was not bad considering how early we were. We were seated at the window and had a view of downtown. It was pretty, but I bet it would be stunning in the daylight. The restaurant was very loud and our waiter was very busy. He was a bit slow getting to us, but he was very knowledgeable about the sake menu and helped my husband with some great choices for a sake flight. For an appetizer we had Phil's Diablo Shrimp which is tempura fried and then tossed in a creamy, spicy sauce. The shrimp were way overdressed in what was really just a spicy mayo sauce. They were soggy and clumped together in a bowl, drowning in sauce. Would not recommend. We also had the Chocho Beef which were 4 small skewers of grilled steak with an avocado drizzle and chopped peanuts on top. The beef was so flavorful and tender and juicy. The sauce was a great compliment. We also ordered the Dunwell roll, ID Roll and the Volcano Roll. The Dunwell roll was one of the cheapest on the menu and it showed. It lacked flavor. The ID Roll was probably my favorite and I don't usually like tuna, but it had seared tuna on top and I loved it. The Volcano roll was also very good, but there was a bit too much spicy mayo on top and I'm not sure there were any scallops on top. If there were they were chopped up into almost matchstick shapes which more closely resembled cucumber. For the price of the roll, it didn't quite deliver. All things considered, we could have got more bang for our buck at another sushi restaurant in town. This place is trendy and maybe a bit over-hyped.

Here's the deal. I've been avoiding reviewing this place for various but no real apparently good reasons. I've always thought of In the Raw as way to "shi-shi" and over priced. The truth is, the atmosphere is a bit on the hipster trendy side and their sushi is a bit over priced; but...it's good. Everything tastes fresh and I appreciate the fact that the majority of their rolls do not in fact contain creme cheese. And if you plan right, you actually can easily get away with spending less than $20 a person. I've mostly ordered take out from here the past few months instead of eating in. The wife and I split the vegetable tempura, which provides lots of food for very little in costs (like $7) and then we split 3 or 4 rolls. My favorite and recommended rolls are: Cody Roll SC Slug Roll Oh My Goodness roll Stay away from their Rainbow Roll, that is a huge and overpriced mess. It's essentially a crab salad roll, which is then covered with another wrapper of nori and then an even more obscene amount of rice, then fish. Also, while the view on top of the Tulsa Hills is nice, I'm always fearful of the perceived deadly parking arrangements.

Great atmosphere and awesome view of Tulsa. I love sushi and In the Raw has great innovative rolls and interesting, tasty salads. There's pretty much something for everyone. If you want cooked foods, you can choose from chicken dishes and wraps... Baked or fried. The fried rice looked amazing too.

Despite the cackle of children in the table behind me, the sushi was top notch. I really feel like ITR is the best sushi in Tulsa. My wife and I put down a volcano roll, a cody 2, and a keaton roll... and I probably could've done more. We like to go out south because it just seems a bit nicer and it's a great view of downtown. The only downside is it's a little pricey. It's the only place to eat sushi in my mind, so we deal with the price.

In the Raw South is my favorite restaurant in this part of town (generally in the neighborhood surrounding St. Francis Hospital). It's not cheap, but the food is consistently good. They offer a few different Japanese dishes, but I've only tried the rolled sushi as an entrée, which is also probably true for most customers. I enjoy edamame as an appetizer - they steam it and then cover it in a salty mix that tastes like seasoned salt. This is a great appetizer because you can eat quite a few, converse (because it's not messy), and not be full before the main course arrives. I've had many of their different rolls. They have common flavors (California, Philly, etc.) but also different variations that can be salty or sweet. The rolls with jalapenos are good as well those with avocado. Their tap beer collection is limited - I believe they only have Asahi on tap, which is disappointing. They have an additional list of both domestic and imported beers that are bottled. The restaurant itself is in a fun location because it's on a large hill overlooking much of Tulsa. You can easily see the towers of downtown as we as a host of other landmarks. Parking is a little challenging due to the hill it's on and you'll have to climb some stairs to get to the restaurant. The restaurant is very dark inside and extremely loud when full due to the tile floors. I really like the food of In the Raw South and the great views of Tulsa.

My favorite In The Raw location! Great food and amazing view! It's fun to watch the sunset over the city. But the parking is a mess! Get there early to get a close spot!

The sushi here is good, but the service was rude. We asked to sit in a corner booth, but we were told the booth is reserved for 5 or more people. WE ARE A FAMILY OF 5. But I guess toddlers don't count as humans.... FYI: no one ever sat in the corner booth while we ate dinner.

I had my birthday dinner at In The Raw this last weekend. I am a big fan of the restaurant on Peoria and since this one is newer and close to my house, I decided to have my birthday dinner there with my family. Unfortunately, this was not the greatest experience. First of all, this location is awesome. It sits on the hill and overlooks all of Tulsa. It really is a great spot. The restaurant is also very trendy and well decorated. Upon entering we were quickly seated. From there our experience began to drop off. The main problem was our server. He was the SLOWEST server I have ever had. We sat and waited for quite some time before he even came for drink orders. Once he took the order, it took twice as long for him to bring them to us. He then left again and didn't return for a food order for at least 15 minutes. We ordered a Volcano Roll and a Not Raw Combo, to which he verified a NOT Raw combo and made a joke about one word could get us a totally different plate. He then left. We waited a fairly average amount of time for the sushi to be made but when he delivered it, he brought a Raw Combo. He walked off without a word and we had to call him back over to get him to correct the order. It took several minutes to get the correct order. He left the new order again without a word or apology. We were not given refills at all (and that sucks while eating a Volcano Roll) and he never came to check to make sure everything was good. After we finished eating we waited for at least 20 minutes before the server returned to bring a check. He took our payment and then didn't return for another 20 minutes or so. It was not like the server was running around super busy, when he left our table he was nowhere to be seen. I don't know what he was doing but our time and experience was not a concern of his. The sushi was excellent. I have no complaints about the food, but the service was really terrible. We were there for almost an hour and 45 minutes when we should have been in and out in less than an hour. I think if I want to eat some sushi, I will go to the In The Raw on Peoria or try something new.

I just finished having dinner at In the Raw on the Hill. My fiancé surprised me with a birthday dinner! I just wanted to bring to your attention the horrible experience I just had. First of all, she made a reservation on Monday and we were pushed back because another party was in our place. We were sat over 30 minutes late. Then our food took forever to come out. A big table was sat after us and received their food before us. I was extremely excited to eat at your place tonight. My fiancé and her parents eat there all the time and love it! My sister had lipstick on her wine glass and had to get a new one. We complained to the manager multiple times and she didn't do anything. Our bills totaled between $300-$400. I was very disappointed. I will not be going back.
