They proudly boast that they've been a "Best Restaurant" of Tulsa for years. Their food is decent and offers a healthier lunch option. Have never been for dinner, but the sandwiches and gyro platters are good. I usually end up getting the greek salad with either chicken or gyro meet. Both are served with some pita and tzatziki sauce. The salad is of the chopped variety that includes cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions. At times it looks a bit wilted, but hopefully that's only because of the "chopped" process along with their dressing, which is really good. Unfortunately the gyro meat always seems over cooked and dry. I don't believe that they cut it fresh from the cone (or make it themselves), instead cooking it on the cone, then reheating when necessary. The staff is friendly and helpful.

I have been here a few times over the years and I honestly don't know why I haven't went more often. Every time I have been the staff was friendly and the food was excellent! It is a little pricey but it is worth it.

Came here for lunch two days this week. First up, this place received accolades for quite a few years until 2010 so our team was wondering what happened between 2010 and 2014. The ambience is very basic and the restaurant has an open kitchen concept (which means you can see the chefs working at the back on your food). On Day 1, our table ordered the chicken kabob, gyros platter and falafel platter. The food is prepared fresh but definitely lacks flavor. On Day 2, our table ordered the gyros pizza, falafel platter and chicken kabob. Again, the food was fresh but lacked flavors. I usually never do this but I went ahead and asked for hot sauce on both days to spicen up my food a bit. Service is a litle slow (since they have 1 server that takes orders, manages the register, takes orders to the kitchen and cleans up the tables). Since they were slow on Day 2, the check (who might also be the owner) came out and spoke with the patrons. Many of the patrons appeared to be regulars, a good sign for us out-of-towners:):)

Had a wonderful meal. Falafel, eggplant, lamb shank, rice, and tabouli were delicious! The owner was very warm and inviting albeit eccentric. I was really pleased with our experience. Reasonable prices and food came out quick!

I'm honestly super surprised by all of the negative reviews for this place. I met some colleagues for lunch at Helen of Troy for the first time today, and everything was outstanding. We shared the hummus, baba ganoush, meat pie, and gyro-style pizza, then each had one of the lunch deluxe gyro. The hummus and baba tasted fresh and well seasoned, the meat pie and the pizza were flavorful, and I don't think I put my gyro down the entire time. I may be biased because of a love of all things Greek, but that gyro may have changed my life and I'm already trying to scheme about when I can next get one. The service was fine and I didn't notice the prices being exceptionally high (confession: I never look at prices on a menu). The ambiance was about what you'd expect for a little hole-in-the-wall place - clean and basic. This will definitely become a staple of my lunch restaurant rotation.

Great food, friendly owners and staff. Great place for a quick work lunch. Try the gyro platter and the falafel sandwich.

This was a lucky find for us. I was getting my imac fixed in the same building. Great mediterranean food. My husband really liked his gyros, and I liked my beef shish kabob. The price for lunch menu was not too bad. Service was great too.

A top notch Mediterranean restaurant. The owner/cook is from Jordan and knows his stuff. We ordered falafel, hummus, toubouli, cabbage roll, and baba ganoush. There was plenty of pita bread and it was fresh and soft. Very good! We especially liked the cabbage roll. It was big and they used no cinnamon like so many Med. joints. The hummus had plenty of garlic, but was delicious. Our waitress was tops! She was so helpful and chatty. She visited with us about what we were ordering and eating and saved us some money by combining some items on the menu. She offered some hot pepper sauce to go with our falafel - it really added to the flavor. The owner came out and visited with us about our food. We will go back to this place.

Was quite surprised by these other reviews because hands down this place has great Mediterranean food. I love falafel and growing up with a brother in law from Israel I had my fair share of great falafel. This place has great falafel as well as humus and toubouli! The service was great and the gal was very friendly! We will definitely be back! Great food and great service!

A decent place to pick up lunch. The food was pretty good as far as Mediterranean goes and priced appropriately. Nothing too amazing, but nothing bad either. Unremarkable.

Maybe they've made some changes since some of these reviews, but we ordered a gyro platter and the lamb shank (dinner portions) and they were definitely more than my husband and I could handle. Or maybe we just don't eat as much. But contrary to what someone said about the gyro, we did not think it was dry/hard--in fact, I liked it a lot better than plenty of other places simply because they didn't over do it with the salt. The lamb shank was juicy and tender, though it could have used a bit more flavor. The rice was admittedly bland, but guess what guys? Rice usually IS, as it's supposed to act as a supplement to whatever you're eating (much like bread). We also enjoyed our sides of hummus and tabbouleh, and I usually dislike hummus. As far as service goes, they were super friendly and very helpful. We'll be back to try out some other things on the menu.

The Kafta Kabob lunch with baba ganoush. Get it because it will change your life forever.

Good tasting food that is filling and not terribly expensive. Though they do charge extra for small things like extra tzaziki sauce which is annoying.

I just ate here for the first time today. The service was fast and friendly, and the restaurant was basically empty at 2PM, which was nice. I had the tawook sandwich, and my partner had the falafel sandwich, mine with fries and his with hummus. They were about $5/piece, with the hummus being an extra dollar or so. Everything was absolutely fantastic. I noticed that a previous reviewer said their portions are small, but this is not the case any more. I couldn't even finish my entire sandwich OR my fries. They served hot pita bread with the hummus, and offered us extra pitas if we needed them (we definitely did!). The freshness of the pitas was definitely a big plus over the typical refrigerated ones most places serve. This was my first foray into Greek food, but I will definitely be back!

This place has the worst service. It is a struggle just to get someone to bring you a menu. The first time I went we literally walked out after 10 minutes of waiting because we were on our lunch hour and couldn't wait any longer. This is one of those places that charges to extra for ANYTHING you might ask for, and the food is overpriced to begin with. For instance, the hummus is fine-tasting, but only comes with a few small pieces of pita bread. If you want more, they charge you extra. Seriously? It is BREAD, and you should include enough with the DIP in the first place! Also, the menu includes tzaziki sauce as a "side"! Ridiculous! Gyro meat is just okay, I've had better at the mall, as someone else stated. The rice is just plain tasteless. The greek salad is bitter. Their portions are definitely small-- we ate and then my husband wanted to get a snack afterwards. This place... Just not very impressive at all.

    * Location / Access: easy access and lot parking. * Interior / tables: Nice. Smallish tables but overall looks good. * Cleanliness: Very clean. * Waiting time / Service: None. OK service, if somewhat slow. * Friendliness: Very friendly. Cordial even. * Food: Pretty good food. if you want a safe place to try out the style take your people here. If you want perfect,, maybe another place. But I would still go back to Helen of Troy another time without hesitation. * Beverages: They have them * Dessert: * Price / Value: Good / Good *** Croissant Meter : [-__________-] (0/10) Greek food baby Croissant Supplier: They have no Croissants, I sure wish they did. But that is not their style.

Make it all to go and drop the price in half is our suggestion. Simple Tauboulli was old and salty, we left 2 portions on the check and the owner never asked, just took the money.

The decor and ambience were enjoyable. The service was good the time we were there. The lamb shank was offered as their real specialty, but that was the only real restaurant dish on their menu. In addition to that we had a hummus appetizer and a gyros sandwich with fries, both of which were small and overpriced. They had a very tiny menu without much variety. Disappointing.

The food was decent, but the prices are a little high...dinners ranges from $15-18. Having lived in big cities, I am used to these prices, but for the food you get I am not impressed. With dinners you get your choice of 2 sides...I chose my favorites hummus and baba ganoush...they were quite tasty but they only gave me a half of a pita bread... for both!! When I asked for more I was told that they were $1 per pita!!! I feel if you are spending $18 on a meal, they should give you enough pita to eat your chosen side dishes. I love Middle Eastern food and eventough there aren't many selections here in Tulsa...I will not return (unless I go BYOP: Bring your own pita). Guess I will have to save my cravings for my trips to Dallas!!!
