Stopped by here in January in a visit to Tulsa. Simple concept, with hamburgers, fried, and self service lettuce, pickles, etc. Valery took great care of us. Food was good and service was fast.

Having worked as a waitress at several locations, maybe I tend to be critical. We were seated at a table that had water dripping from the ceiling before we were moved to to the farthest corner table. The walk was scary! The floor felt like it had a greasy film. We had our drinks served a moment before our food arrived which makes not having a cracker basket in sight to eat our pickles with not such a bad thing. Not! I love pickles and crackers before my meal. The cottage cheese was so dry and warm I couldn't eat a bite and avoid the mashed potatoes and gravy if you are watching your salt intake. I will return to Goldie's, just not this location.

There are other Goldies Patio Grills in the area, so I'd skip this one! Arrived at 7-ish p.m. to order for carry out. A customer was at the register waiting to pay for a to-go order she had in-hand. There were customers at roughly ten tables, so less than half the seating capacity was occupied. After waiting for two or three minutes during which time no employee recognized me or the other waiting patron, I heard a gentleman seated in the waiting area calling this restaurant's location on his cell phone. I then overheard him talking to someone (evidently at a kitchen extension) and say he was getting tired of waiting for his order so decided to call their number to spur some attention. He hung up and told the lady at the register she should leave without paying because he wasn't receiving appropriate attention via his phone call. I would have left without paying at that point, but she stayed. Another minute goes by and the lady manages to flag down wait staff who somewhat shortly replies "I can't cash you out, that has to be done by my manager who is in the back working on to-go orders!" At that, I left. We visited the original Goldies' location at 51st & Lewis and were treated properly. I've visited the 61st Street location on other occasions and received acceptable treatment. But life's too short and there are too many restaurants in Tulsa to endorse bad ones. Dine at your own risk!

Waited on hold to place take out order for 5 minutes. So pulled up and went in to place order. No service so left and went to another location. There was even a customer seated who was using cell phone to call and attempt to get service while sitting in the restaurant!

It's time to remodel! I felt like it was the 80's again. The food was good, greasy some, but in a good way. I loved the pickle bar. As far as the pickle appetizer goes, I would have preferred the small fried pickles instead of the spear. Our server had pink dyed hair, which I thought was a little unprofessional. The burgers are a hit, but appearance counts. I think the atmosphere is causing this place to be less crowded than it was on my last visit about 10 years ago.

We had dinner at this location tonight. They recently finished their remodel. The update looked great. The food was classic Goldie's and we enjoyed our hamburgers! Our waitress was Kim and she was friendly, fun and appropriately attentive. Overall a good value.

Classic burger. Order like a local, "Goldie's Special with cheese and fries". The pickle bar can't be beat and their onion rings are great.

We have went to this location multiple times for lunch since it was just around the corner from work. The last four times we went the service was not what we had grown to expect. Yesterday was the last straw. I ordered a ribeye steak SANDWICH (approx $10). Everyone heard me say sandwich. I even asked for the Swiss cheese but no mushrooms. The waitress did not bring what I asked for. I ended up leaving paying for a $20 meal that was not what I ordered. When we asked to speak to the manager she stopped coming to our table. The service has repeatedly been poor, taking forever to get our food, so we only have 5 minutes to eat before we had to leave for work. When the manager finally arrived we had decided we are done with Goldie's. Which is a shame, because it USED to make for a quick lunch. They didn't try to make it right at all. They even forgot to being sides for the meals.

Good burgers, good fried mushrooms, and of course the pickle bar! Our party of 8 had a good time there for lunch. Only compliant was we had a hard time getting drink refills.

Jeff B. really sums it up for me as well. I was expecting great, juicy, burgers, given the restaurant's "legendary" reputation. But they were just ok burgers, neither great nor juicy. Very pleasant wait staff and, agree, the pickle and produce bar is a nice touch.

Before you read further, I'm a vegetarian: That being said, I almost threw a tantrum at this place. I was visiting family and my uncle wanted to go here, then grandpa seconded that motion. I was having tummy troubles on this trip and hadn't really eaten in two days, though by this point I was starving and was starting to feel weak. I can say from experience ingesting meat when you've been a vegetarian for quite awhile is an ugly experience. Needless to say I had to buy a separate meal later because EVERY GODDAMN THING on this menu has meat in it. If you like it, great... if not, go elsewhere. My waitress looked like she was spawned at a Grateful Dead concert and was overall pretty rude. I filled up on water and went to the bathroom. The thought crossed my mind: am I the turd in the punchbowl at this get-together? Well, it wasn't any worse than the not-flushed turd greeting me in the toilet bowl when I went to the bathroom. Had I eaten, nothing would've been better than making a pit stop with a "y'all come look at this before I flush it" greeting me in the bathroom. I guess if you're a total carnivore you can give this place more justice, but the lack of vegetarian entrees makes me rank this place low.

For thick, nicely seasoned burgers, Goldie's has hit the spot in Tulsa for about 50 years. Don't order a double unless you're a real glutton! At this location, ask for Kim to be your waitress -- she is attentive, polite and genuinely nice. Oh, and she gets your order right and is quick on the free refills of drinks. It's not open past eight, so go early!

Last weekend, my wife and I went on a business trip to Tulsa, OK. We had a free day on Tuesday and decided to google, "what to do in Tulsa". Some pretty funny responses, but basically we came up with nothing. Thus, we struck out on our own to sample different restaurants. We were told that a staple burger place in Tulsa, was Goldie's Patio Grill. Goldie's has a familiar decor with signage on the upper walls. The restaurant looked very tired. Service was very good and the reason I gave them 3 stars rather than less. The burgers were mediocre. The french fries were limp and lacked seasoning. Nothing stood out. Our server said people would drive for hours to experience their "Pickle Bar". I think if they invested some time into their brand, they could re-energize the Pickle Bar and the Burgers. It is not like we found an abundance of burger restaurants in Tulsa to compete with. There seemed to be a Sonic Drive In on every street. With a remodel and better food, they could recapture Tulsa. As it is, they really left me with nothing to write about.

Goldie's has been in Tulsa pretty much forever. I recently moved back to Tulsa and ate there today (11-22-09). The place for the most part is pretty much the same. There is some good and bad. The food is pretty good. I got the country burger (open faced with cream gravy) and my wife got a hickory burger. My son got a kid's meal that had a corndog and side with a drink. The service was prompt. My well done burger was still a little pink in the middle but not too bad. The side I got, baked beans, were a little strong on the onion side so I did not eat it. We also sampled pickles fro the pickle bar. My wife's burger was good too, as was my son's meal. The goods: nice large juicy burgers and prompt service. The bads: little over priced for what you get, pickle bar, decor and seating needs updating.

Okay, first the good stuff. The pickle bar at each location is an great idea. Free pickles, as much as you want. Sad to say, that's the only good thing I can say about Goldie's. The burgers are dull, no seasoning that I can really discern. To me, it's overpriced for what you get. Service the last few times I've been there has been incredibly slow. I know it's a Tulsa legend, but it shouldn't be. And judging from the amount of people I see going there, I think a lot more people feel the I do than will admit it.

I've had burgers at multiple places across the country and have never had one that was better than Goldie's. I sure wish they had one in Dallas!

Some of the best burgers in Tulsa. My favorite place is probably Ron's, but Goldie's burgers are a little less greasy, and the atmosphere is more restaurant-like. Goldie's makes a good thick and juicy burger that isn't boring like other basic grilled burgers at restaurants.

Delicious as always. I always start with crackers, pickles and mayonaise. I know it sounds like something a pregnant woman would eat, but I get it every time. Today I just had a special with cheese - the freshly-charred flavor is fantastic. I also got my fries extra crispy. They leave them in the frier a little longer and it's worth it. No complaints here - you can always expect a great burger at Goldie's.
