Driving through Tulsa and looked up steakhouses on Yelp. I was looking for old school style and not fancy, this place was a gem. Walking up to the place we had to second guess if the plain door was the entrance. Walking into a dark room it was like stepping back to 1962. We had the greatest waiter, Steve. He and his brother run the place their father founded. The food is not fancy and home style as other have mentioned. Our rib eyes were huge, like 20+ ounces. Recommend. Go in with no expectations, set the time machine back and enjoy the experience...

The days of the old school Lebanese steak houses are about over because the generation who enjoyed them so much has passed on. I am a child of that generation and a steak dinner at one of these places has always been a treat. We often ate with my parents at Eddy's in OKC and other similar restaurants. I've driven by this Eddy's many times over the years and always intended to stop and check it out. Last night, my lady and I made it a point to do so. This 60's era store has seen many years of wear and she is a little wrinkly. The place was reasonably clean but looks very tired... but don't discount it yet! The impeccable service, excellent middle eastern appetizers, and the huge, well cooked chunk of meat are still unbelievable. We like ribeye and ordered two. That was one too many because they are at least 26 oz. each. The steaks were delicious! $23 per person! wow! I'm sad that we haven't been coming here for several years. The place wasn't very full, but it had a steady stream of folks coming in - all in their 50-70's enjoying a slice of their younger days.

I came here for the first time when I took my dad out for his 56th birthday, thinking that he would like the place. Boy, was I wrong. He LOVED it! We both ordered ordered what have to be the thickest steaks I've ever seen in my life. It's the one time in my memory I've seen my father walk away from the a steak dinner with leftovers. On the flip side, my wife was with us and all she could talk about afterward was how she was going to pay me back for dragging her to this place. The decor is still stuck in the 60s and she felt that the place was a little dingy. The three guys duct taping the carpet while we ordered probably didn't help matters.

It is a surprising place with a solid cuisine for decades, with an extraordinary and clear knowledge of how to cook different cuts of prime beef. Surprisedly they continue in 2015 without adding a good chimichurri for their meat and without updating your linens, plates and the establishment for bring special touch for the clients.

Over cooked steaks, dark lighting, rickety tables, missing menu items. Would not recommend

The food is a solid 5. You cannot beat the steaks. That said, the building, decor, and state of repair could scare you off. If you stay long enough to get to the steak, you will love it. The prices are not bad either given the quality of the meat. The salad is not up to todays standards. Pretty much iceberg with a dash of dressing. The have homemade tabbouleh but it is not as good as when Eddys was in Okc. The cabbage rolls are great, but they do not offer the incredible bbq sauce you could get in OKC, that made them for me.... We will be back when in Tulsa.

I have been going to Eddy's for years and there is much to be said for the comfort of knowing you will get the same great meal every time. Waiters have been there since forever, and they are helpful when need be, not hovering around your elbows when not wanted. The best value in town, but if you are looking for a 5 page menu with trendy appetizers and nouvelle cuisine, you will be sadly disappointed. If you are like my hubby and me and crave a huge, flavorful hunk of prime beef without a 45 minute wait like you'd get at a chain steakhouse, make the trip to Eddy's. The menu is about as basic as it can be. There's steak, lobster tail, fantail shrimp, and grilled chicken breast. Everything is served with tabouli, hummus and veggies, iceberg salad (the blue cheese dressing tastes homemade), a hefty cabbage roll, and a baked potato. When you select your steak, be prepared to get enough for two meals. Last night I ordered the ribeye club, and my hubby got his usual t-bone, which is actually a porterhouse cut with a huge piece of filet. They were cooked to perfection. The ribeye was about an inch and a half thick, cooked to perfect med rare, and covered hslf the plate. T-bone was about 2" thick and beefy flavored and tender. The menu also has a 9 oz filet, which the couple behind us ordered, and it had to be at least 12 to 14 oz in weight. The only thing i can tell you that is slightly negative is that the cooks do not like to use salt very generously. Just give your food a shake or 2 from the salt shaker and it will be perfect. Perhaps they are of the school of thought where adding salt is much easier than trying to remove it. It's an old fashioned place that's dark inside, white cloth and linen napkins, waiters in tux shirts, bow ties and vests, and i wouldn't have it any other way.

Where to start? After reading some of the negative reviews here I could not wait to get to Eddy's Steakhouse. Yep, I have learned that as a generality, the things most people complain about at Yelp are the things that most make me want to go there. Old? Yep! Oh Yeah! No trendy hip décor here that adds $50 to the price of your steak. At Eddy's you pay for steak, not chrome and neon. Not a lot of variety? Yep, also true! Eddy's serves steak and very little else. The salad isn't made from baby weeds that no one knows how to pronounce? Yep, true again! The salad is made from genuine iceberg lettuce. It's fresh and good and everyone can say iceberg. You couldn't find the place because it didn't have a chain restaurant logo out in front? Yep! No fancy signs, no gilded doormen, not even shiny polished brass around the door. And by the way, to help you find the place if you ever go again ... look for the humungous sign out front that says "Eddy's Steakhouse", that'll be your first clue. Okay, now that we've gotten past judging a restaurant on trivial things like how much red velvet is on the walls let's get down to what makes a great steakhouse ... great steak on the plate. Does Eddy's pass or fail? We arrived (after noticing a huge sign in front of the restaurant), we parked in the large convenient lot and walked to the thing that looked like a door. Not surprisingly, it was a door so we walked inside. Contrary to rumor, the owners do pay their electric bill and they have these things called electric lights that adequately light up the interior. Bright enough so that I had no problem reading my menu. There is nothing fancy about Eddy's, it's like being invited to Aunt Bea's home for dinner. There are no velvet Elvis paintings on the wall. The menu is not bound in the leather skin of a baby iguana; in fact it is just a folded piece of paper. There are an adequate number of menu choices if you are there to have a steak. The highest priced steak costs about as much as what that fancy chain restaurant charges for a baked potato. The wine list is "red, white or beer". They say they have a full bar but may need help mixing anything more fancy than a whiskey on the rocks. There are very few options; they bring you the 3 Mediterranean sides automatically, followed by an awesome stuffed cabbage roll, tons of bread and then your steak with a baked potato along with a cow's entire day's production of butter. Nowhere will you find so much food for so low of a price. And the steak is? Oh my word is it good! It tastes like meat, not some chemicals that were mixed up in some Australian laboratory. Totally perfect. If you're wondering why I posted a picture of only half my ribeye, it was so huge that both of our parties shared theirs with their dining companion. And get this, the waiter knew we were sharing the meat but still brought us full servings of all of the sides. And the waiter? Joshua is superb. He struck a great balance between getting to know us, talk about our interests and making us feel welcome yet never being unprofessional. He was there exactly when we needed him and frankly treated us better than servers in some of the most famous chain restaurants. I did overdress however. I was wearing long pants and a polo shirt. Everyone else was in shorts and tee shirts. Eddy's is a place to leave pretensions and show-off attitudes behind. It exists for one purpose ... to serve great steaks.

Old time Tulsa restaurant that I finally tried, but wouldn't go back. The first problem was finding the front door, it isn't clearly marked. The interior is dimly lit, white table cloths and waiters dressed in black and white. The atmosphere and decor was like stepping back decades. The place has not been updated probably since the 60s. Things on the table were placed to cover spots on the cloth. The flatware and dishes were spotted. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I liked the steak okay, but didn't much like the sides. If you like a generous portion of okay food for a good price, you will love it.

I love the fact that this restaurant is like stepping back in time. I love all things vintage and this place was definitely that. My fiance took me here on a date an it definitely was a great way to start a romantic night. The service was amazing and the steaks were great. I love how the whole place and the waiter's have this whole 1950's feel. All in all if you can see past The exterior of the building this is a great place to eat! I personally think the exterior is what keeps this one of the quiet hidden gems in Tulsa but it also adds to the charm of the place for me! Will definitely be back many more times to come! :)

Found Eddys on Yelp. Read the reviews and decided to try it. What a wonderful meal. We had filet and sirloin. Awesome steaks. Bull was an awesome server as he walked us through the entire meal. We loved the hummus, tibouli and cabbage rolls. If we are ever in Tulsa again, we will eat at Eddys.

It's dark, dingy and still has the same decor when I came with my parents at the age of seven. I am forty seven now. I love this place. The steaks are huge, the sides simple and you get the usual Lebanon flair with a cabbage roll and hummus and veggies before the meal. Go for the experience. Order the ribeye.

My wife and I were flying out of Tulsa and stopped in for dinner prior to our flight. First of all the restaurant does't even look like it is open from the outside and if you didn't know where it was you would probably never find it. Once inside we found that it was dimly lit with all servers wearing black pants and white shirts. We were dressed very casually and no one seemed to mind. Our server who I think said his name was "Bull" was very friendly and took great care of us. The steaks here are huge and cooked to perfection. My wife is not a big meat eater and she went on about hers. The prices were very reasonable and we had a great time. Highly reccomend.

I'd say probably one of the best steaks I've had. I wanted a steak dinner; not from a chain. This place has been around forever, and quite honestly, it looks like it. That's part of the charm if you ask me. The Mediterranean apps were not as good as others I've had. The tabbouleh was dressed well but there was not enough parsley and the tomatoes were too big and mushy. The cabbage rolls were too dry for my liking, although they were larger than most. The hummus and relish tray were good though. The steaks were the star of the show! I had the filet and the hubs had the ribeye. Both were cooked perfectly and were huge! The prices were great too. Next time I want a steak dinner we will definitely go back.

Great Steaks. Very Good prices. Friendly wait staff. The Humus to die for. Good parking. Order the RIB EYE. Over a pound of WONDERFULNESS. Get 2 Cabbage rolls and trade for a salad. Or get the salad AND order one EXTRA cabbage roll. Some time we just pick up 6 or 12 Cabbage rolls to eat at the house. We have been going there foe about 45 YEARS. Dim and out of date decor.
