My girlfriend & I split the 24 oz. T-Bone. Excellent steak, expertly prepared. Very reasonably priced for the size and quality of steak. Excellent scotch selection.

Great atmosphere. The tamales were the best I've had. The service was above average and my steak was terrific. This place really is a true five star experience. The owner/operator was friendly and engaging. It's not a place I'll eat weekly because of the price, but it is a place I'll visit as often as I can. Order the tamales and thank me later!!

We had the lobster appetizer and the large rib eye to share. This place was great. All food was delicious, the service was excellent (Thanks Bradford!), and we loved the atmosphere. We'll be back. Especially tasty was the perfectly prepared rib eye. Sharing this steak was just enough for the two of us. Special shout out to OKC beer Dead Armadillo. Perfect compliment to the meal. Oh! And the house salad is reminiscent of the 1904 salad at Columbia Restaurant in Florida. Perfection!

Let me start by saying that this Doe's is a far departure from the original. That being said. .. Pros: Service- Betsy, our server, was great. She was attentive without being overbearing and a true sweetheart. Steak- we split the 36 oz porterhouse. It was one of the best steaks I've had in a while. Perfectly cooked and juicy. Beer- nice local and craft selection. Had the Dead Armadillo Amber and it was good. Cons: Appetizers- we got the shrimp cocktail and the pork belly. Shrimp were slightly overcooked, but the sauce was tasty, so kind of a wash. I've had a lot of pork belly at different places and this was close to finishing last in my rankings. Way too tough and the sauce was not very good either. Oyster Shooter- I know, complaining about an Oyster shooter at a steakhouse is weak, but if you are going to offer it, make it good. They need to mix the vodka with the cocktail sauce prior to adding the oyster. You couldn't taste anything after the unmixed vodka hit your mouth. Overall, I've always been a fan of Doe's, and still am. Just remember why you should go. STEAK

Terrible service. I always order my filet butterflied and the refused to do it this time. Also they told us they were too busy to make a Moscow Mule. This place has definitely gone downhill.

Every time I come home to Tulsa this is the place I always must go. The staff is always professional as is the owner, Skipp. The steaks are always mouthwatering. I highly recommend the ribeye. Skipp is always adding a special, if your lucky enough to catch the lamb chops don't skip them. They have two premier appetizers, the tamales and the casino oysters both are excellent. For the scotch lovers of the world, there isn't a better selection in Tulsa. Mix that with a couple premium drafts on tap, and you have the recipe for success. This may very we'll be my favorite restaurant in America.

If you want to be accosted by the chauvinistic rude owner, Skip Long, go to Does. I will say it has good steak.

A good but by no means great filet. I would rather not have bread offered than dry-white toast dropped off. Service was at times almost obsequious, we must have disappeared. We had to ask for forks for the main course. When our server took away the green only salad, "It would be my pleasure to bring you fresh forks." The "great" mashed potatoes had a few green onions sprinkled on top. We won't be returning.

I got a 1 1/2 lb T-bone, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Steaks are marinated, and slow cooked, resulting in a very think and juicy steak. Cost is less than places like Flemings, but steak is as good or better.

This place is a good location to unwind after a day at the office. The staff was good and the drinks were as well. For the food, I expected better or more flavor to be exact for the price point. The speech from the waiter was about the aging process which we have all heard before. But for the price, I would have expected more flavor than I had. The others in my party agreed. You get a good portion and the sides were all great, but the steak left something to be desired.... When you are paying those prices for a steak dinner, you expectations are higher.

Doe's is pricey but, if you're craving a good steak and don't want to get dressed up it's perfect. The service was good, the food was good, it was nice and quiet - can't really find anything to complain about. Good place for sharing.

I ate here a while back on recommendation. The entree was a disappointment mainly because I was expecting better taste and quality for the price, but only received a mediocre meal. The portions are very large and are good to share. I haven't been back for several years; for the price and steak quality I choose to go elsewhere.

The service was great! My waitress was on top of everything. Never had to ask for a water refill and was pleasant to talk to. The salad was had very fresh greens. The Steak exceeded my expectations for a casual eating place. I ordered medium rare and it came out perfect! I highly recommend their filet. Great Scotch list. I ordered the Knockando 17yr because I've never tried it before. It is a very smooth and easy to drink scotch. Finished the meal with a carrot cake and it was delicious! Some of the best food I've had at a casual atmosphere.

During a business trip to Tulsa, I was directed here for a good steak from the concierge at the hotel. After a bit of effort locating some parking (try around back) I found myself in a place that is a cross between an expensive steakhouse and a sports bar. Alone and tired from work with per diem in hand, this was the perfect combination! Excellent steak, attentive wait staff, and plenty of football on the television. I recommend this place fully, just bring your wallet...

Great location, atmosphere is fun and staff is friendly. We had a large party and were seated in the back with a great waiter who was very attentive. Shrimp appetizers were the bomb, not sure what the sauce is they broil them in but it had a bacon flavor to it, absolutely awesome! Between all of us there were several different types of steak and they looked great prepared exactly they way we asked, portions were very large, the only thing I can complain about is the flavors were just average. I've had same if not better at outback and at these prices I'd expect better. I will say that I would go back and possibly try the stuffed chicken or one of the other non cow items but for steak I cant say I'd go back again

Delicious ribeye....but don't believe them when they tell you their tamales are the best. It's the worst ever. They're not even wrapped in corn husk! They're wrapped in wax paper. No flavor or aroma. Terrible...

I had a very hard time even justifying 3 stars. The food was excellent and the staff very attentive and knowledgeable in regards to the menu. The ribeye I had was perfect. The smoked steak my wife had was so tender it could be cut with a spoon. The dining room was very clean. However, the proprietor was a total jerk. We waited 25 minutes for a table. When we walked into the dining room, there were only 3 other parties there. Thats when he told me that seating was much quicker with reservations. He has delusions of grandeur in regards to his establishment. Had there been a full lobby I would understand the wait but he merely did it for spite. He was so rude the wait staff apologized to us.

Last vist to Tulsa I found myself wandering Cherry St looking among the many good choices for dinner and drink. I found myself drawn by a very simple looking place called Doe's. It turned out to be a wonderful choice for a great steak, great service and an interesting and fun atmosphere! The walls are filled with wonderful pictures, signs and paraphanalia all privately owned by Skip, the owner and all very colorful and interesting. Walk around and check it out! I ate at the bar and was served by a very energetic and helpful bartender named Heaven. I decided I was in the mood for a good steak. But I was also drawn to the smoked West coast oysters and oyster shooters! I decided to go for both. The oysters were wonderful (I had my shooters without the cocktail sauce, personal preference) and the oysters were of wonderful quality and the flavor mixed quite nicely with the gin they were served with. The smoked oysters tasted so good I wanted to suck on the shells! Next was the house salad which was mixed with a special vinagrette dressing which was quite tasty (and I am not usually a big dressing fan). The dinner was a simple flilet mignon which was cooked perfectly to my liking and very lean and very flavorful. That wonderful flavor was enhanced byt the nice pinot noir I had with it (the wine selection was nice and varied). All in all this place is not a taditional steak place. But that is part of its charm! It is clean, with great service and worth the price!

OMG, the steaks at this place are wonderful! And the rest of the menu looks great, too. This place was highly recommended by a local and she did not steer us wrong. I had the petite filet with the mushrooms and onions and the 1941 green beans on the side (ask how the latter got the name). My husband ordered the smoked tenderloin with new potatoes. The waiter brought us some fried bread and honey, which he says is a great favorite of patrons. The light delicious confections were melt-in-your-mouth good. We were too stuffed for dessert, but there's plenty of delicious offerings for every taste. The service was excellent, especially since we arrived half an hour early due to ignorance. They seated us in their delightful patio, filled our drink order and our waiter kept us company until the chef was ready, when we moved inside the comfortable tavern to order.

I found the food to be excellent. Tamales do rock and the steak was awesome. A much better cut than I usually get at local steak establishments. The price was a little high but for the quality of food I find it hard to complain. I would certainly enjoy going back.

Went to Doe's to try to have a drink on their patio cause it was a nice day. The proprietor informed us that Doe's is a restaurant and doesn't have cocktail service. Um, okay, then why all the beer signs in the window? And the place was empty! Rude. Not going back to Doe's for food or drink - well maybe if it's free.
