Okay, the burger is good. It's old fashioned, so if your looking for some trendy burger that tastes like rose hips and is rolled in lavender, this place is not for you. It's simply grilled with onions, greasy, and good. If your really a glutton you can get the 2 lb burger for $15. I don't know how it's humanly possible to attempt such a feat, but the woman working the counter assured me it's been done. I've seen some previous reviews complaining about the Jesus Junk that decorates the place... Listen, this is Oklahoma- buckle of the Bible Belt. If your not used to this kind of stuff where have you been, under a rock? It just adds color to the place in my opinion. I deduct 1 star because the place is in a very inconvenient location. It's in the middle of a very old residential area and you may just drive right past it if your not careful.

I've just finished my first Bill's burger, and I have to say I was rather disappointed. I was lucky to come on a day where it wasn't overly rushed, and I think I was out within 15 minutes of placing my order. The folks there were friendly enough, and it wasn't a *bad* burger, but I certainly couldn't recommend jumping through the hurdles to get it. I ordered a Big Mama, and it was a pretty burger, for sure. I liked the nice big tomato slices and the onions were just strong enough to let you know they were there without dominating the burger. But the meat itself.... well, I'm not saying it was bad, because it wasn't. It was thoroughly cooked, which I greatly appreciate. The promised juiciness was there. But the flavor... well, there was just no THERE there. I would taste the occasional charred spot, but it was otherwise rather bland and certainly overpowered by the mustard (which was your standard yellow mustard, so that wasn't a taste treat). So, while it wasn't bad, I'd say it was a burger I would only get if it was my only option at the time. I've only begun my own burger search, but I would say that these aren't as good as Arnold's or even Whataburger. You can't please everyone, and they certainly have their devoted fans, so I wish them the best. It just wasn't exceptional for my particular taste. All the best!

Evidently this place has been around a very long time. Met a middle aged woman there getting take out that used to come as a child and she says the place looks exactly the same way. Very small, only about 6 bar stools, although they do have outside seating. Burger was quite hefty ( I got the 1/2 # Big Mama) and something in the way they press chopped onion into the patty sure makes it tasty.Juicy meat, nice big bun and lots of lettuce...considerably more satisfying overall than Webers,Claud's or Ron's. Fries were limp and soggy and the ketchup they use is cheap. Soda prices were high to begin with and charge you 1/2 price again for any refill....very stingy,if ya ask me. This meal cost almost $10.00,not cheap. Furthermore, these folks are obviously serious Christian evangelicals by the sign on the menu saying TRUST JESUS, the sermon near the cash register and the shirt the cook was wearing: HIS PAIN- OUR GAIN! Guess this is par for the course here in Oklahoma but still makes my skin crawl.

WOW!!! One of the best greasy spoons in Tulsa if you like Huge Hamburgers. I believe they have been around for over 40 years. Very limited hours open (lunch). A must try for any transplant to Tulsa.

Probably along with Hank's as the best burger in town. They can get backed up, and you probably wont get a seat inside.

Man! This is a real burger! A tiny dive place with only a few stools at the counter and a couple of tables outside. It looked like everyone had carry out or ate in their cars. I arrived at 11 and waited a short time to order. I ordered the Bill's Special - a loaded 1/3 pound mustard cheeseburger and fries. I took a seat at the counter and the place filled quickly with customers and people picking up call-ins. My burger was huge for a 1/3 pounder and tasted like a mustard burger should taste. The fries are fresh cut and cooked just right. By the time I ate my burger, they were quoting 45 minute wait times because so many people had showed up or called in. I'll be back.

We went to Tulsa, just because, and had no real plans, except that I wanted to have burgers at some of the iconic Route 66 kinds of places. Bill's is certainly one of those places. We arrived and squeezed inside. This is literally true because other than the 6 or so stools at the counter, there is room for 3-4 people to stand and wait. Obviously most people call in and carry out. We did not know that, so were told our wait would be 45 minutes. We killed time in the car and checked in about 30 minutes and our order was just ready. At that time we were able to eat at the bar, but you should be prepared to eat in your car or take them home. You might also want to take a lap towel. Ms T ordered the 1/3 lb Big Daddy with just cheese and mustard. I ordered Bill's special. It came with cheese, chopped lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle. They were so busy that I hated to ask, so we really never figured out the difference in the two; Big Daddy vs Bill's Special, since Ms T's was supposed to come with L/T/O/P also. I think. The burgers are genuine flattop style, well flattened so that the 1/3 lb patty fits the large diameter bun. It works. They had an excellent grill crust but I wished for more salt grilled in. If I were to return, regardless of the size, I would pass on the vegetables and get my standard cheese, mustard and pickle. The onion, lettuce and tomato get in the way of the burger flavor. Great place! This is a must do in Tulsa.

One of the icons of Tulsa, Bill's Jumbo Burgers is one of the best in town. Hole in the wall joint that will have you wanting to go back for more. The meat is ground fresh daily so get there early to be one of the crowd who gets a prized burger before they run out!!!

Called my order in and ate in the car this time. After waiting in line to pick up my order, it had been sitting. It doesn't work out timing wise, might as wait there and get it right off the grill. I think maybe I am too particular in wanting hot food. The onion rings were awful. Crisp and burned on the outside and mushy in the inside. Hamburger 3+, love the perfectly toasted bun. The whole experience is kind of stressful. Looking for an place to park, waiting in line in a tiny place with a bunch of men with huge bellies and either squeezing in at the counter or eating in your car on Adminal. :(

Onion rings tasted like they were fried in old grease. A lot of weird churchy stuff written on the walls.

The best burger in Tulsa! I have been eating here my entire life. The first solid food my brother and I ate as a infants was a Bill's burger. In all of my years of eating here they have never changed a thing. The burgers and fries have stayed consistent and always taste of the same greatness. It's a delicious old fashioned style burger. Bill's is a family owned and operated business. Bill passed away many years ago but his son mans the grill and he has the same magic touch his father did. If you have a large appetite they have a burger called the Okie, it's 1 lb. of meat. If that's not enough go for the Double Okie, 2 lbs. of meat! They have smaller sizes burgers as well if you don't want that much. The place is VERY small and is usually packed so I suggest calling ahead with your order and then take it outside unless there is a seat available inside. If you don't call ahead have a little patience. It's a small operation with a huge customer base, it will be worth the wait. Stop in for an amazing old fashioned burger.

I went to Bill's today to celebrate after a morning of cleaning out the garden. A hearty hamburger seemed to be the way to go. I ordered a Big Red with cheese and bacon. Outstanding. It's always great to sit in a small, family-run joint and watch my food being prepared. Saturday is a slow business day, but the staff are experts. Great burger, great down-home atmosphere, great service and friendly staff. It doesn't get any better than this after a hard morning's work!

For a fast sit-down burger restaurant, this place epitomizes the Midwest. Friendly people, consistently local crowd, giant portions of greasy burgers and fries, and no-frills seating. The burgers are very flavorful and greasy. Don't come if you want a gourmet experience or something other than a burger: this is purely a burger Mecca in Tulsa.

Another one of Tulsas best kept secrets. The burgers were great. They are a pretty good size considering they are not that expensive. The staff is very kind and friendly. It may be a bit hard to find if not familiar with Kendall Whittier neighborhood. Definitely stop in for a fresh homemade burger. You wont leave hungry. Definitely recommend.!

Bill's was a place I had never heard of before, in a corner of Tulsa that I'd never been through. It was just through digging around online that I happened upon it. I must say now that I'm glad I did. It's a tiny shop in a very unlikely part of Tulsa (a largely forgotten corner of Admiral overlooking I-244). The parking lot has decayed into near-gravel conditions in parts, and people basically pull their cars in wherever there's a suitable, unobtrusive space. The selection of burgers is really quite interesting; I don't think I've ever been anyplace that listed 1-lb., 1-1/2lb. and 2-lb. burger options. It's mind-boggling to me that anyone would want to eat that much (and I understand that the guy from Man vs. Food has been here). But my, the burgers are great! The buns are grilled to just the right crispness underneath and full of flavor, while the mix of standard ingredients (mustard, pickles, onions, lettuce, tomato) is really well balanced. Of the other old-school burger places in town, I'd say only Hank's on east Admiral gives Bill's a run for their money. Nicer still, the fries are tasty and perfectly cooked. Slightly soggy, mind you, but not to the point where they feel limp or oily. Friendly service as well, and you can watch how they put care into how they prepare the burgers. From the reputation the place seems to have, I was surprised to not have to wait for a seat. Most people that came in while I was there had called in orders to go, so I mostly had the counter to myself. The wait time between ordering and receiving my food was probably about 10 minutes, which is more than acceptable for me (especially given how many to-go orders they were preparing when I walked in). All in all, a very good holdover from an earlier era of Tulsa. I'll definitely go back.

These are quite possibly the best burgers in T-town. I have been on a quest to find the best little burger joint in Tulsa and this one will be hard to beat. The full parking lot at lunch time says it all - it's a great place to grab lunch!
