Get there early folks, I have tried a varity of thier burgers and they all were very good. Oinion rings were good as well. Thier Pepsi fountain is tuned perfectly for the best taste.

Besides the Arby's around the corner, I scoped out this place for some genuine burgers to satisfy my greasy cravings. However, I chickened out and ordered the "Old Fashioned Burger" because I was not feeling too adventurous for the Hickory flavor one. Anyhoo, this place makes a mean burger. Don't expect a quarter pounder because it's all about the quality of the meat; not quantity. They added some fresh onions, pickles and mustard which makes the whole meal very satisfying. It was only $4 bucks and 92 cents for a 20FL oz bottle of Aquafina (to a New Yorker, that's cheap!). The fries, on the other hand, were a bit too mushy for me because I like them crisp. Perhaps, it's the only busiest restaurant you will see in downtown Tulsa. Just follow your nose!

More than decent burgers (though you snuck some onions on my mushroom swiss you cheeky devils) that are served up quick and hot. I could see why this place was so popular with the locals.

This is the first place you'll want to go for lunch in Downtown Tulsa...and it may be the last place you'll want to try. It's GOOD. Chicken chicken sandwiches , burgers, various fried things (fries, rings and zucchini) as well as salads, soups and pastas. Been there at least five times and always served fast with an accurate order. And there is nothing like a hot grilled chicken sandwich and a small cup of chili on a cold day. TIP: Try one of chicken sandwiches with the hickory sauce and leave off the mayo or mustard. And ask for some extra sauce if you get fries!

Ate there on 1/3/11 so yes, they are open and never closed! Price increase makes it an $8.00 lunch with a drink! Too expensive but great food! I feel so guilty eating the great burger and onion rings so willing to try their salads at a cheaper price!

One of the few lunch-only joints in downtown Tulsa worth dining at. Excellent sandwiches.

THE place to eat downtown. Billy and Anita run a fantastic lunch business with options, freshness, and great service! I've known Billy for 30 years and have eaten at all his establishments (remember Hamburger Haven?!) and Billy's On The Square continues in his tradition of fast service & great food! Get the Char Chicken with hickory and of course for newbies to down town you gotta try the Theta (chicken or burger). For a sleeper menu item, the Char Ham is fantastic! As a bonnus, for those who attend BOK events, Billy's has been a staple inside the arena since its opening. Thanks Billy, for serving down-towners since 1984!

Long lines did not deter me. The line moved quick! I had a Cajun chicken sandwich and a fruit cup. The sandwich was very good. Plain and simple but very tasty. The fruit cup was alright, had a decent mix of stuff in it and only one bad piece of fruit that didn't get eaten. The inside of the place is nice and clean. They also have some seating just outside with a few tables and umbrellas. The area where you get drinks seems to be about the only problem. It's very tight and there is only one soda fountain so everyone funnels there. When I got a refill before leaving the same problem was still going on. Other than that I would recommend this place to anyone just for the location, prices, options available, etc.

Great place to go for lunch! The downside is it's usually pretty packed for lunch and you have to wait in line but they move people through fairly quickly. The other downside is finding a place to park on the street and don't forget to pay the meter! The upside: They have an awesome bacon cheeseburger and I love their caesar salad!

Went today. I got the Mexi Chicken Sandwich. I had them hold the bun and cheese because I'm allergic. I got a teaspoon of "guacamole." Their version is pretty much guac spread -- it was weird, and Pace Picante salsa on top of a chicken breast. The lettuce and tomato was fresh, and chicken was juicy. Thank God I asked for honey mustard though it made it bearable. I was also skipped when I was trying to pick up my order. Little but frustrating. Probably won't go back. Not worth it. On the other hand, their staff is always friendly and helpful. Some claim this is the best restaurant downtown. I would tend to disagree. The food quality is lacking.

Great place to stop in for lunch. Food was excellent and inexpensive. Get there at 11am or end up waiting in line. However the line moves pretty quick. Service was great considering as crowded as it was. Definitely stop in!

Had I written this review based on my prior visit, I would have given them 4 or even 5 stars. Sadly though, this last visit was not good. But let's start with the good. The restaraunt is clean and the service is friendly and fast. During the lunch rush the line can get a bit long and tables a little scarce. The food is really good and reasonably priced. They have good burgers and bbq. That being said, You need to stay away from the catfish strips. I thought they sounded good (catfish and chips basket). My first warning was when the lady at the register told me it would take a little longer to cook. That was fine but in truth they needed to take a little longer to cook it. I got three pieces of fish. Two were just done while the third was raw inside. What was cooked was really tasty but I don't recommend breaded and fried sushi. I will eat here again, but I will avoid the fried fish.

Like everyone else says, great lunch place. The lines can seem long, but the people behind the counter keep them moving efficiently. Plus, all that line time means more time to decide what to get! The guacamole burger was okay. The guacamole wasn't as thick or as seasoned as much as I like it, but that's preference. The sweet potato fries were really good, though! They were crispy, and pretty addicting when dipped in ranch.

I really like Billy's. It's one of my favorite places to go downtown. If you call for a pickup it is usually ready when you get there. The burgers and sandwiches are really good. I wasn't too crazy about the pasta, it's just kind of bland like Ragu or something, so it isn't really worth the money to me. I love their chicken caesar salad. The staff is always super friendly and they work quickly to get your food to you.

Great location for sitting along the street to people watch, especially if the weather was nice. They had a pretty good selection to choose from, so probably not too bad if you had a group. I had the mushroom swiss burger, nothing spectacular but not bad either. Also got the onion rings as a side and was a bit let down. They look fantastic, but they had almost no flavor, which I thought was impossible for an onion ring. Didn't try anything else, but middle of the road food gets a middle of the road vote.

Great BBQ! Affordable, fast, and delicious. Go give'em your business. You won't be disappointed.

A lot of colleagues rave about this place but I just think it's okay. It's a good level of diner food. Classic chicken sandwich, ranch salad, with fries, etc. It doesn't wow me but it is consistent and clean and cheap so that does make it good.

I got the Theta burger. It was good but it was also cold. I don't know what the deal was because my fries were still warm, more warm than the burger. Nevertheless, I still ate it (of course). Also, I saw that they have chipotle mayo, so I subbed the regular for the chipotle, & unless they mix it in with the hickory sauce, they forgot to put it on my burger. Those two small things can be wack for someone's first visit (like myself). Cold burger, no chipotle mayo. The fries were good, even though I wanted the sweet potato fries, I've decided to start trying regular fries at burger places (for my first visits) just to see what separates them from the rest such as franchises across the country. Now, this place was packed but the service was super fast. Also, I didn't really wait that long for my food, no more than 10 mins. They also have sweets, cupcakes! They looked delicious but I figured I would be too stuffed from the food to add one to my order. Maybe next time. All in all, good experience. In a prime location where it makes sense why they're so busy.
