The meat was ok and the BBQ sauce was good. I was looking for some good BBQ and I left unfulfilled. I got the pulled pork and chopped brisket. The meat was ok and I got baked beans. I have never tried bled beans that tasted like that. The beans tasted like there was cinnamon in them and the sweet was not my kind of sweet taste for baked beans. My husband had ribs, turkey and sausage and he said it was also ok. He also got the beans which we both left on our tray barely touched. He said the potato salad was good. We will not be going back anytime soon. In fact I might just take a chance with a chain BBQ restaurant before I would return to Albert G's BBQ.

Not a bad BBQ and a step up from crib BBQ. Served fast and hot by a friendly staff, Albert G's does it right! The sauce is fantastic!

Chopped brisket was great as well as the BBQ sauce! Also nice employees and pretty fast service. not too pricy about $8 a sandwich and you get one side. Only issue I had was there are only like 4 items to chose from for the sides and they are horrible ! Fix the sides guys!

Over priced for such small portions. Sorry, but your food isn't that good. The teenagers working seemed to be inconvenienced by me wanting to place an order especially the one who took my order. I have heard such good things about this place but it was a huge disappointment. I will never go back. Elmer's is better.

The very best BBQ in Tulsa. The owner that took it over for Elmer is so nice. You need to try this place. The ribs literally fall off the bone!

This is good old fashioned barbecue, seasoned well, smoked for days and served hot. The sauce is home made and the meat is smoked daily. The atmosphere is reminiscent of the old gas station barbecue joints. This is a Tulsa classic.

Decided to once again grab some bbq for the family as we love some flavorful Q. I decided to grab the 3 meat family meal at a pretty fair price of 15.99 plus tax. I decided on the ribs, chopped beef and brisket. For side items I chose the baked beans and tabouli. The ribs were nice and meaty and very flavorful. This particular location uses spare ribs. The chopped beef was nice, tender and juicy enough to not need any sauce. The brisket also had a nice flavor but was my least favorite of the three. It was still very tasty, however. Now, my biggest factor for Q besides not being over smoked and having a nice rub is whether you feel the need to put sauce on it in order to eat it. I enjoy good BBQ sauce and Albert G's sauce has a nice flavor, but I want to be able to eat the meat without feeling like I have to drench it to put it down. This bbq doesn't need the sauce. It accentuates rather than covers up a poor quality Q. My wife told me that the tabouli was great and I will take her word. The baked beans tasted like they have a hint of cinnamon in them and all three of us enjoyed them. Overall, the place offers a nice value to feed yourself of your family without breaking the bank.

Being from California, we don't get good BBQ like Oklahoma does! It's the one things I miss and indulge every time I make a trip back here. I've never been here before, but it was recommended by my uncle, and my dad said it's his new favorite place when he visits. And oh my! It did not disappoint. Just the smell when you walk in is delicious. It's clean, simple, and had an vintage decor. The staff is friendly and get your grub out quickly. Lunch time for me, and I had a sausage BBQ san which. I normally would have never picked this, but it sounded so good. I tried my moms chicken, and my uncles beef sandwhich, and they were all sooooo good, the sauce was also wonderful. When I come visit, I'll be back!,

Went back here after many years, and I'm upset that it took me so long to go back. The bbq was amazing, reasonably priced, and the staff was super friendly. We took some friends from Spain and the staff suggested we get a variety of meats to try. They were all delicious, sizable portions, and we had a great time. The building is not inviting from the outside, but the inside is very comfortable with old gas station memorabilia. It's clean and has plenty of space at great tables. The condiments including pickle bar is a nice touch. They have soft drinks and several bottled beers that are moderately priced, and they have a beer bucket special.

Excellent bbq; it had been years since we ate here because we moved from the area, so when we came to town for a visit we stopped in. Good chopped beef; good turkey; we love the sweet sauce.

Good BBQ. Had the pulled pork & bologna - would have preferred a little more heat to the 'hot' BBQ sauce, but it was still good. Vinegar based was a touch better. Had a side of tabouli - surprisingly flavorful. The potato salad was creamy, mayo based, not chunky which was disappointing. The white wonder bread was unnecessary, but maybe that's just me

Chopped beef was really good. You can actually taste beef!! Potato salad a bit sweet for my taste but it is homemade. They have the most crunchy pickle bar in town!! Bob's got the 3 meat combo; ribs, sliced brisket and polish sausage with side of beans and cole slaw. He said its so good he got it on his face!!

They have very good BBQ - I wouldn't say it's award winning, but they have a wide variety of meats that are nicely cooked and tasty. Their smoked turkey is the best meat they fix, second would be sausage, then their ribs. I've always thought their brisket is a little dry. When it comes to sides, tabouli is a must eat! We stop sometimes just to get tabouli. It is the best anywhere. Moist, well seasoned, not too much wheat, the perfect amount of parsley. It is just good! Their beans are mighty good also. Carry out or eat in, it's a good solid choice.

As a girl from Texas BBQ is right up there with Football, almost a religion. I went to Albert G's on recommendation of the locals an "all right" place to go. I ordered a 2 meat sandwich without the bun since all of the side items were either starch or on my allergy "no no" list. Hot Link and Brisket ordered moist. The small inside seat was full, so we chose to sit outside, which as it wasn't too hot wasn't a bad choice. The sauce was sweeter than I like it to be, not much spice at all. Sandwich came with the bun, no big deal I just hate wasting the bread, hot links were dry but tasty. Brisket... thickly cut and extremely dry, so either moist is not an option and the lady taking my order failed to tell me this or... they missed the mark. My co worker had the brisket as well and the chicken, which she did not finished due to how dry it was (I'm sensing a theme). I'll give this place another shot in a couple of weeks to make sure it wasn't just an off day... but... we'll see

Time to bring down the ratings a bit. Had the hot links, chopped brisket and tried the new sausage they just switched to, which is made my the same company as the Hot links. Hot links were the best thing I ate, but that isn't saying much since they buy them pre-made and just smoke them. Everyone at the table basically said we wouldn't come back. Much better Q around Tulsa. The potato salad was mostly mustard and they quite possibly used mashed potatoes, or blended the mixture to death afterwards. Couldn't find a chunk anywhere. The baked beans were forgettable. If I was blindfolded, I might think I was eating baby food. The beans themselves were cooked way to long and went to mush, and they had no favor. Even the brisket had zero favor, which is difficult to accomplish if you smoke it. Even the 'hot' sauce had little favor. I go back and forth between a 1 or 2, it wasn't bad tasting, just had no taste. I don't even remember the place smelling like BBQ.

The best BBQ I've had in Tulsa, but not the best BBQ I've ever had. Not too shabby.

While this isn't the best BBQ I've had, I still have to give Albert G's some love. Albert G's is a popular lunch spot, and you can tell by the crowd of people in line for lunch here that its good. You will find business men in suits and construction workers all piled in to the neatly remodeled small ex-Phillips 66 gas station. I had heard good things about the BBQ here and decided to try it for my self. I ordered some Sliced Brisket and Ribs with a side of BBQ Beans and Coleslaw. My food promptly came out. The Brisket and Ribs looked surprisingly delicious. Sliced Brisket- Thick slices of beef piled onto my plate with a little bit of sauce looked very good. While the Brisket was loaded with flavor and had a terrific smoked flavor, it was very dry. It wasn't chewy, infact it was very tender. I was cutting it with a plastic fork and it was falling apart. I still enjoyed it, even though I am not a fan of dry brisket. I piled tons of the spicy sauce on it and really enjoyed it. Ribs- After recently have a bad rib experience, I am probably reacting off of emotion but these ribs were very good. The ribs weren't falling off the bone but were still tender. The dry rub used on the ribs was fantastic, it immediately sent my taste buds into overdrive. The meat had a fantastic smoke flavor and with a little sauce sent me to rib heaven. These aren't the best ribs I've had, but could possibly be the best in Tulsa. I won't jump to any conclusions yet. BBQ Beans- Pinto beans with fantastic sauce. These beans kicked ass, and not in the way gross out your friends. Very good. I enjoyed it. Coleslaw- Great and not too much cabbage flavor. The sauces here are very sweet. I used the spicy sauce because the regular was too sweet. The spicy was still sweet and not too spicy. I really enjoyed this sauce. BAM! no? ok. Give Alberts G's a shot for lunch. You won't be disappointed.

Maybe it's because when I want BBQ I fire up my smoker and make it myself, but this place just missed the mark. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich. You would think that it is pretty hard to mess up pulled pork. I can't even describe the taste but it was just gross. Had I not been starving I probably would have asked for my money back and went elsewhere. Maybe I was just there on a bad day but I know that I won't be going back.

The people were nice and friendly, but the food wasn't what I expected. I ordered chopped brisket and received big chunks of what appeared to be roast beef and as dry and chewy as it was it would've made good tires. No matter what type of sauce I used it didn't help the taste any. Man was I glad to get out of there. Needless to say I won't be trying it a second time.

Yup, it's an old gas station, bathrooms around the side and everything... You eat in the old service bay... Nothing fancy just good solid BBQ, no fries no fluff! Slammed at lunch time but fast service. If you like good Q try this place.

Spoken from a Texan...this is some of the best bbq I've ever had! Their HOT bbq sauce is to die for. The chili spices definitely kicks bbq sauces up a few notches. First of all, the ribs are just full of goodness and flavor. The meat is so tender it falls right off the bone. The brisket is a great cut as well, not dry at all. You can smell and taste the smokiness. Next, I dove right into the hot links...and wow! Amazing taste and spice. It goes well w/the hot bbq sauce. The portions are huge too! Well worth the money. Lastly, the sides. Hands down the best baked beans ever. It has a sweet and savory touch to the sauce that is just perfect...bean heaven! The potato salad was also very good. Not too creamy...I think they use a sweet & sour relish. It was very light and airy, even for a potato salad. Even their regular white bread was good.

I was in Tulsa on business and this place was recommended by a local. I was not disappointed. The pulled pork was very good, the brisket was better. Didn't need to add any bbq sauce, it was perfectly seasoned. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I ordered pulled pork and bbq sauce to take back with me. They packed it up without any problems, and I had no leakage when I got it back to Jersey. The next time I'm in Tulsa, I'll be sure to visit.

Best BBQ in Tulsa. Cool old gas station ambience and the place was filled with firemen and policemen...they always know where to find good food.

As far as BBQ goes, I would say that Albert G's is my favorite so far in Tulsa. I love that they're in a converted garage, the service was friendly and fast. I ordered 2 ribs (1.79 each) and a side of beans. Love that the meat is served quickly and on a checkered paper (very auto shop chic) covered tray. I found a container of sauce and went outside armed with some spicy jalapenos and moist wipes, which I knew would be a necessity. The ribs were juicy, tender, with lots of meat and just enough fat to provide the taste that makes BBQ ribs so addictive. Slathered a bit of sauce on the rib, yummy! The beans were unique in that they didn't taste like they came out of a can, like so many other BBQ joints, these were cooked fresh and not goopy (slightly more soupy in consistency), they had a tinge of pork in them with a hint of berry (raspberry perhaps?) and not too sweet. Overall a great experience for barbeque - nothing fancy but good solid smoked ribs. Awesome ribs.

There is something wrong when a Bar-B-Q place claims they are good when their sauce taste like it came right out of the jar. Very little imagination to the food or this place. I looks like a run of mill bbq joint that just slaps sauce onto the meat and call if great bar-b-q. The place is a converted Phillips 66 gas station. I think they took the old grease off the engine bay floor and used to marinate the meat with it. Much of the food had a Middle Eastern flavor to it also. Since when is good Southern BBQ come from the Middle East? I had the displeasure of meeting the owner Chuck Gawey who was so full of himself and his restaurant. I also notice a lot of his relatives hanging around the place not really working but acting like they owned the place and sometimes they out numbered the customers and often had unkind words to say about people that had left. Tulsa had some great Bar-B-Q so you are better off going there instead.

i am writing this review in comparison with Wilson's bbq just a couple miles away. i had them both within a few days of each other while in the area. had bbq ribs and sliced brisket. albert g's has incredible smoke flavor. however, the sauce is not good at all. i hate to say this, but it's on par with a mcrib - sorry. luckily we went to wilson's first and had left over sauce to use for albert g's. they were average for tenderness. the baked beans are decent, but not as good as wilson's. potato salad is better than wilson's. if you eat your ribs dry, you can't go wrong with the flavor of albert g's, but they are only average for tenderness. the best flavor in dry bbq i've ever had. what keeps albert g's in the mix of good bbq is the smoke taste. it's very good, very strong and goes down to the bone. with all of this said, wilson's is better (5 stars from me). overall. see my review for wilson's, too for more details on what makes wilsons so good.

Best BBQ in the city. I always get the chopped brisket. Also, the best baked beans I've ever had. They have a unique ingredient that I can't quite pinpoint, but I think it's apple sauce. Whatever it is, it WORKS!

This was my first stop upon moving to Tulsa. Albert G's is in a converted gas station... it's small, really small. I liked the food quite a bit & the portions are quite big. The sauce was a little sweet for my taste, but I haven't had enough bbq from here to really speak for everyone else.
