Its descent seafood, is not the best fish and chips, but its better than Long John Silvers, most times. There are more than a few options in the casino to eat, but I do wish that the Winstar would step up their food game, i think if you already paying a pretty good price for the food, you should not see the workers unwrapping pre-made foods or opening a box of frozen foods. But you are limited to the casino to eat unless you wanna travel a bit to eat somewhere else.

The shrimp and chicken basket was a Greasefest Extraordinaire! Too much breading and the oil was too hot in the fryer so everything came out scorched. It would seem that the WinStar people really need to step up on food quality. I'm not expecting Vegas quality and variety but I do expect acceptable. You have tons & tons of money, invest some in good quality food options for your patrons!

We dined here on a recent trip to the Winstar. Super greasy and disappointing. The Winstar needs to up the food scene.... the food selections in general disappoint. Do not recommend.

Decent for casino food. Overpriced. Ordered fish and shrimp combo that canes with fries and slaw. The quality of the fish could be better, fries taste like normal fries, never been a fan of slaw. My boyfriend ordered the clam chowder bread bowl. We've had clam chowder many times in Boston and it's usually served hot. This one wasn't hot or warm, if it was warmer I'm sure it would of tasted better. So if you order it, make sure it's hot! And the bread bowl looked cheap. Tried the local OK beer, wasn't a fan.

We love this place. Very good fish and chips. Friendly service. We can't seem to try anything else at Winstar and we crave it after a week. It's greasy but so good.

We ordered the Irish nachos and the fish chicken and shrimp basket . Irish nachos were amazing .. Gouda and cheddar cheese with all kinds of toppings !! Tea was fresh and tasted good ! Fish and shrimp was amazing . The chicken and the French fries were not good ... Chicken was very dry and rubbery and French fries were wilted and seemed old . We would for sure go back though --- for the fish , shrimp and those awesome Irish nachos . Customer service was good , restaurant was busy but clean .. Different dining option when you go to win star ... The table behind us had a bread bowl with clam chowder . I will try that next time as well

This place was great, but ever since the remodel the food is over or under cooked. Also, both times I've been back since the remodel the staff has been overly rude.

My husband and I have been to Chips 'N Ales a couple of time when we have been hungry at Winstar. The food is always delish. I am writing this review to brag on Ira. He was such a great help to my mother in law and was so friendly. Even though it is clearly self serve, he was very attentive to our every need. This dude deserves a raise.

This is probably my favorite place inside Windstar. Unfortunately that doesn't really say a lot considering that most of the food in the Windstar or at least the restaurants are atrocious. It appears that there's such a monopoly on gambling in the region that there is no incentive to provide eitherQuality food or service. They really only need to provide good enough food as to not offend anyone. Today they messed up an order and when I approached the staff to mitigate their blunder they proceeded to scream at each other over who's fault it was.

Winstar tries to do the "Vegas thing" by having everything you need in one place...but the food just isn't there. This place was terrible! I ordered the Irish Nachos and not only did it take a little too long to come out (I mean they're french fries with cheese...how long can these pre-made ingredients take to put together) but when I got them they looked and tasted gross! I thought there would be more to it, but it was literally soggy, brown, mushy french fries and gobbs of cheese that was impossible to separate. UGH! Save yourself the headache and just leave Winstar to eat and then return to loss your money gambling.

I wish I could have given it zero stars. Just got back from there. Yikes - rates as one of the worst all time places that I have ever eaten. We ordered the shrimp combo and the Irish nachos. Spent about $22. French fries were cold and very oily. When you squeeze the shrimp - oil drips out. Overall that dish was BLAND - they need to add something simple like SALT. The french fries were on the small side and appeared not only oily - but well done. So let's talk about the Irish nachos. To describe it -it is cheese over french fries. They used the same oily, overdone, cold french fries. They threw some bits of bacon and sausage on it [we found 7 small pieces each] then on top of that was a cheap fake shredded cheese. The whole dish appeared to have been microwaved because only the top layer of cheese was melted but only the top layer. And the oil from the cheese dripped down onto the oily fries - leaving 2 inches of oil in the bottom of the basket. Ketchup was out, napkins were out. We have basically decided that this restaurant is probably like the others there - so we won't be going back to any of them there to eat - we will spend the money elsewhere - especially considering there are other places within 10 minutes driving time.

Hard to beat a great day at the casino and with Windstar the number of restaurants available you can truly find anything you could feel like consuming. I always enjoy good fish and chips! To me, it's the perfect comfort food, when done well. The location in comparison to the poker room for Chips and Ales is a bit of a hike, which is not bad after spending hours on your hind quarters. The price point is about 25% more than it should be, at $10, but that's expected, captive audience and destination style resort. The fish was beer battered beautifully, creating a nice crispy flavorful coating over delicious succulent cod, which was fresh as could be! The tartar sauce was a reasonable facsimile due to the mass production. Pass on the beers, as they are ridiculously priced!! The "chips" (fries) were the weakness of the dish! I returned the first batch thinking they were not cooked fully or had sat around too long. The young server quickly replaced them without anything more than a smile and "I will be right back." The second batch came out, clearly piping hot, and just out of the oil..... They were limper than Bob Dole prior to Viagra (based on the volume of his commercials in the past)! I could wring out the grease, and there was nothing crispy about them!!! The last space on the plate was filled by coleslaw which had a nice taste, was crunchy, and not overly sauced. In the end the main feature of the dish, the protein, far outweighed the negativity of the sides, and earned the 4 star rating!

Glad they are remodeling. Sad they are not open. Fish N chips are great. Location is great. We love it.

This is one of our favorite restaurants to eat at every time we visit Winstar World Casino. The fish is always prepared fresh and comes out really hot and delicious. Their batter is awesome. My wife usually gets the chicken and fish combo basket and raves about it as well. Definitely worth checking out if you're a fish and chips kind of person.
