Quite pleasantly surprised. Went in the height of Lunch Rush so they were understandably busy, but having the phone line and the credit card machine on the same line is just plain poor business practice. However, despite the stress, the girl at the register was relaxed and pleasant. My wife got the (I don't remember what it was called) the loaded baked potato was loaded with toppings which were quite tasty. The price was appropriate. I got the Okie Sandwich. Smoked Bologna (I'm from the North I'm still not used to being served Bologna in a restaurant) brisket, pulled pork and hot links. Wow, everything was moist, tender, had perfect smoke and terrific flavor. The baked beans were a little more on the "Cowboy bean" side for me, but we're very good. Slaw wasn't anything special, but was better than many other BBQ places I've been to in Oklahoma. Definitely a place we will return to.

I asked my concierge what I should do in Stilwell (population maybe 3k) she said "well ... we have a Walmart, people go there and you should go to Okie Joes..." ? What a great recommendation, so I passed on Walmart ... Next thing I know a beautiful woman is opening a smoker full of deliciously smoked meats and said "Hello, welcome to Okie Joes!" Oh the sauce is so perfect. Loved the interior, felt so cozy eating BBQ next to a warm fireplace.

2 medium sized ribs and a child's portion of slaw and potatoe salad was going to cost me over 11.00 with tax without a drink! That's an outrage to any food enthusiast. I left without getting my order and filled up on Chinese Buffett for 8 bucks with drink. Now that's a deal!

The BBQ at Okie Joes is actually pretty good. I guess my rating really just comes from the fact that the restaurant is in fricken Stilwell...not exactly a lot of competition there. I am a big fan of the pulled pork and the sides are pretty decent too. It's a good local BBQ spot for sure.

This place has amazing bbq - and I've lived in Texas, Louisiana - well this list goes on, but I know GOOD BBQ! The guy who started the business was born and raised in this two-horse town, and knows how to make the customers feel welcome. In fact, my mom knocked on the window after he'd closed one night and he opened up and gave her what he had left from the day- everything is fresh, so there wasn't going to be more meat on the smoker until the next day! They went from a small trailer to a full-blown restaurant with AC (air conditioning is very important to me these days)! I definitely recommend this place.

The best BarBQ sandwich ever!!!!!! Anyone who says any different needs to know one fact. My Dad can beat up your Dad!!!! Enough said. I love this place.
