We went here for lunch while down visiting my daughter at OSU and I was pleasantly surprised. It is so much cuter inside that it appears from the outside (it's in a strip mall). The lunch special was $7.50 for salad and a stomboli. Both were awesome but the stromboli was HUGE. My mom and I each ordered one and instead just shared one and took the other one home. The bread they bring out before the meal is awesome too! My daughter had the cheese tortellini and it was awesome. I'm sure we'll be back many times over the next 4 years!

Our first time trying this place out. We were visiting family, and they recommended we eat here for something different. The ambience and decor of the restaurant is fun and makes you feel like you're in for some serious Italian food. I appreciated the hand painted elements on the walls. You get endless warm bread with olive oil, balsamic and butter, a good way to start! The bad of this visit was our waiter. He came off very rude. He was very slow to wait on our table to start, then he became very pushy about the check, picking the check up, etc...like he needed to leave and we were his last table. It was only 5:30pm, so not like we were keeping them open or anything. On to the entrees! The pasta itself was tasty and very fresh. For me the problem was our sauce. The menu said it was a white wine sauce, but it tasted like a really salty cream of chicken soup! This was a shame, because the past itself was good. If you go, I recommend getting the marinara, regular cream sauce or Alfredo. (I tried my other family member's food, and it was better). If you're sick of Olive Garden and in Stillwater, give this place a shot. Had we had better service and a better sauce, I would have given out a 4th star.

We have eaten here twice and have really liked the food. The only complaint would be the calamari is not good.

Great service, and the best place in Stilly for Italian! I always get the Siciliano, delish! I do ask for extra capers, love me some capers! Oh and be sure to get the calimari.

Da Vinci's is a sweet little place! No, it's not authentic Italian like you're going to get in the northeast, bit it is dang good, especially considering what else is available in Stillwater. Da Vinci's opened long before the disgusting, generic Oliver Garden did. At Da Vinci's you can get great, bottomless bread (I highly recommend the garlic dipping sauce), good wine, and delicious pasta dishes. Give this hidden gem a try, it's well worth it

Da Vinci's isn't bad. The food is about as authentic as the Olive Garden, which is located in the same parking lot. The service is always good, and the food is average.

If I could give zero stars to this place it would definitely be more accurate. The first time I came to this place was back in college when it first opened. The prices were reasonable and the food was pretty good. I came here last night for a get together with old friends and saw that the prices had shot up about $3-5. But nothing about the place had changed, especially not the cheap decor. Located in a strip mall, this restaurant gives the feel of a cheap place to eat. The table cloths are plastic along with paper napkins and the decor is dated and boring. The staff is very young and new at their jobs but friendly all the same. I ordered a Caesar salad $7.95 and mozzarella sticks $4.95. My friends ordered a lobster ravioli and another tort dish. My salad was terrible. It didn't even taste like Caesar salad. It was almost sweet and it was drowning in croutons. Very little sauce. The sticks were ok. The order comes with 5 of them but come on, how hard are mozzarella sticks? My friends lobster dish had 6 medium sized raviolis and they were cheese. The lobster came in bits on the side. 6! Their plate cost $10.95 and all they got were 6 cheese raviolis and lobster bites? Plus the bites were over cooked and chewy. The other friends dish of tortellini was $12.95 and the only extra thing it had on there was broccoli. The only semi good thing at this place is the bread. I will never go back there and would never suggest it to anyone. I want my money back. Awful.

No no no no no. I am from out of town and assumed a local Italian restaurant would be way better than the Olive Garden, but I was so wrong. Fettuccine alfredo is NOT egg noodles coated in white gravy (or mayonnaise, or whatever it was they served me). Husband's ravioli tasted like something from Stouffer's. Just don't go here.

We went for an anniversary dinner. I really wish there was an upscale Italian restaurant in Stillwater (or an upscale restaurant period). This is paper napkins and plastic tablecloths. I ordered the chicken Marsala, which is my favorite dish. I've had it in probably 12 different restaurants in my life. Da Vinci's version is awful. It doesn't even taste like chicken Marsala. The sauce is starchy. The mushrooms are from a can and undercooked, and the chicken tasted boiled. My waiter (who was amazing and the high point of the meal) noted that I wasn't eating and traded the dish for chicken and broccoli tortellini. That was much better. My fiancé got spicy seafood pasta that was also pretty good. I'd go back. The chef just needs some instruction on the Marsala.

Based on other yelp reviews decided to try this restaurant last night. The food was very good and the service was good too. We will definitely be going back.

The food and ambiance was very good for a small town Italian restaurant. I thoroughly enjoyed their pasta primavera with chicken, and the service was relatively good. All-in-all, this was a good choice for a late-night dinner.

Very impressed with Da Vinci's, Stillwater doesn't have very many italian restaurants, so I was glad to have discovered Da Vinci's! They were very busy on the Friday night that I had eaten there, so I believe I'm not the only one craving good Italian food! They give you bottomless bread, and the pasta dish I ordered was very delicious! If you're in Stillwater, and in the mood for Italian, I recommend Da Vinci's!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
