This is a jem! Not fancy. Very clean, very friendly, excellent ribs. Just the right amount of smoke. Great sauce. Menu consists of what can go in the smoker. Ribs, brisket, chicken, hot links, and yes smoked spud. sandwichs made with the above. Beans, slaw, potato salad. You won't find anything fried. But you won't miss it a bit. Cheff Robb is the best!

Rob's is another one of those places that isn't perfect, a little run down, but oh my goodness do they know how to make barbecue. None of this fancy pants northeastern pork nonsense, but good 'ol fashioned Oklahoma beef. The smoked super spud is awesome. A must when I am in town. I do wish they had some alternative seating options for large groups. It's awkward to go there and sit apart, though most people just get takeout.

Picked this place because of the high rating, but I don't have much to say about it. We were there during spring break and the place was empty aside from us. First of all, the barbecue sauce was great. Two varieties, regular and "hot hot hot" according to the bottle, but my group couldn't tell much difference between the two. I had the regular brisket sandwich and the meat was tasty, but extremely dry. It needed a lot of barbecue sauce just to eat it without choking :| And I don't like things doused in barbecue sauce. Another person in my group had the smoked chicken which he said was tasty, but also dry. You might be able to chalk that up to it being chicken. Another person had the ribs and -- you guessed it -- dry. I don't know if it's the norm for this place or if we had the luck of getting some food that had been sitting in a warmer for some time. I'd like to give the place the benefit of the doubt, but nothing about my experience was exceptional. Oh, and several of the tables were dirty. And, again, we were the only people there the entire time. They should have been cleaned. I would give the place 2 stars, but the barbecue sauce earned it an extra one.

There are a lot of good barbecue places in Shawnee, but if you're trying to decide which one to try, go to Robb's Smokehouse. It's just barbecue - really good, flavorful, moist barbecue. The menu is small, but it doesn't need to be bogged down by fillers. You can pick between 1, 2, 3 meat combos, baked (smoked) potato, and a few others. They smoke everything, even their potatoes. I was floored by how good the ribs were. You look at the meat and it falls off the bone. None of this picking meat out of your teeth for the rest of the night. I honestly think these ribs could win some awards if they haven't already. The sides are good too, I recommend trying the baked beans - better than your average side of beans. Worth. Every. Penny.

Robb"s Smokehouse in now a Shawnee institution that started as "Robb's Ribber" in the parking lot of a Shawnee Grocery Store. In fact, one of his Smoke Shacks still says Robb's Ribber. It is no wonder that he moved to his current location a number of years ago because of the demand for his always delicious food. Since the move, having fans lined up at the door is not uncommon and he probably prepares more catered meals than the other Barbecue Restaurants in the area combined. His business is also aided by being on the Southeast edge of Oklahoma Baptist University. What can one say about his Barbecue other than delicious! If there is one suggestion that could be made it would be for a third sauce that is really a "Fire Breathing Dragon" variety. Try Robb's once and you will be back many times.

On our last trip through Oklahoma from Connecticut, we stopped here and were blown away by the taste!! Today, traveling through OK again my wife remembered and we stopped again. Incredibly good BBQ, and friendly, efficient service. What more can you ask for? On our next trip we'll be CERTAIN to stop there again.

I have only been here once and got the smoked potato with brisket. The food was okay. Nothing to write home about in my book. The place came highly recommended though so I may have just been there on a bad day.

A really good place to eat. Frequent it often. The super spud and the polish sausage sandwich are two of my favorites. Very clean and some of the best sweet tea! Highly recommended.

As others have stated the Super Spud is sooo good! The barbecue sauce is spicy and sweet. Service is quick and the staff is friendly. I wish they had more variety on the menu but other than that it's great.

My favorite place to go with my buds. Quick service, good prices, awesome taste. Super laid back environment. Try the super spud, which is a baked potato topped with chopped beef. Spicy BBQ sauce is best.

The best BBQ anywhere, and I have had a lot of BBQ. Robb's ribs rock! (in a very good way) Get some of each mild & hot sauce if you like, but I can't get enough of the hot.
