Food was cooked perfect and was served hot. Service was professional with a smile and checked on enough times to not disturb the meal. Don't get tricked by the days they are open. Today is Monday and I'm enjoying a fine meal.

Wow...where to start? I was reticent about going to Okie's because not all of the Yelp reviews were exactly "glowing." Still, I wanted a steak and didn't want it from a chain joint like Applebee's, so I yelled "Leeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrooooooy Jeeeeeeeeeeeeenkinnnnnns!" and walked in. Mistake. Bad mistake. First off, maybe I misread some of the reviews that discussed eating in the bar. Maybe I misread the "Watering Hole" sign out front, because when I got to the hostess stand, I asked if they had restaurant service in the bar and the dude seating me said "We don't have a bar. It won't be open for two weeks." I didn't have the strength or inclination to argue with such a statement, so I let him lead me to a booth. It took 10 minutes for someone to come to my table with a menu. She didn't bring any water. I ordered a beer and she came back with it 10 minutes later. She told me about the specials and I ordered the 20 oz. ribeye, sides of green beans and country fried potatoes. My food didn't arrive for a little over 30 minutes. It was an interminable half hour. Why? The patrons. I want to make a point here. I AM NOT A SNOB! Ok? I come from small town people, I don't live in a large city, I attended what many consider to be a "hick" college, I drive a tractor on the weekend, wear cowboy boots, drink American-swill beer and can be pretty profane at times. Anybody who knows me knows I am no sophisticate. But.... I have never heard a more uncouth, loud, trashy, nasty-talking bunch of nitwits in my life. There was a group of about 30 of them in there, and I had been seated right next to them. I am deaf as a post, and still, they were hurting my ears with shouting and ruckus. It was "by gawd" this and "got damn" that, and F bombs rained down on me like I was attending a Joe Pesci film festival (and there was a family with little kids seated right next to them). Hands were repeatedly slammed on tables, beer sprayed from the mouth when a joke was told, and all sorts of vulgarities spewed whenever the name of their supervisors (these people were clearly coworkers) or President Obama was mentioned (and I am somewhat conservative, by the way, and what they were saying was waaay out of line). Those people made the atmosphere miserable. Utterly miserable. When my food finally got there, I asked her to go ahead and bring the tab. I figured it would take 30 minutes for it to be delivered, and sadly, I was right. The food, you ask? Oh yes, there was food involved. The steak was ok. A little over cooked, and not top notch quality, but for $28 with sides, not bad. The potatoes were actually relatively tasty. The green beans were meh. The roll: straight out of a bag. I gunned down my food, dropped sufficient cash on the table and got out of there faster than a turpentined wildcat. I won't ever return. So really, the food was at least two star quality, maybe even three star. But the atmosphere drags it down to a 1. That may seem harsh, as I suppose it could be argued that a bunch of jerky, loud customers shouldn't cause the restaurant to get dinged. But sorry...ambience is an important factor. And here, it wasn't the caricature decorations that dragged the place down...it was the caricature patrons.

I can't review the food because the food still hasn't arrived! The service is terrible! The waitress knows nothing and the servers stand around together back at the kitchen doing nothing! Over 90 minutes and counting

Where to begin. Let me summarize my experience for those that don't want to read the whole thing. Bad. Poorly cooked food, terrible service, items on the menu not available on a Saturday night dinner. The steaks were cooked either way under or way over what was requested. The side of potatoes was over done and fried to a blackened crisp, the fried zucchini has no flavor, ranch not available. If you enjoy dining in a place that is staffed by servers who don't care or even know the menu or specials then this is your place. Speed of getting the food was average. The best part of this experience was the decor inside and the bacon cheese fries. Other than that, it's forgettable and overpriced. Don't bother, would not recommend. Tl:dr--don't do it.

The steaks were very good and cooked right. The servers worked hard and were attentive, however they did not have baked beans which were on the menu. Probably my biggest complaint is they advertise homemade ice cream outside but do not have it. Actually they don't even have a dessert menu!! So come for a good steak and service but plan elsewhere if you want something sweet after.

This place does not even deserve one star. They have a website that is not accurate, with the waitress claiming that she wasn't even sure why it was still maintained. When we said that was OK, we would order something despite any discrepancies, our waitress proceeded to ignore us for twenty minutes. Finally got a little frustrated and asked to speak to a the manager but that proved difficult for them as well. Considering that there were only five tables seated with multiple waitresses, no reason for another near fifteen minute wait. When the manager finally came over, he simply came over and said, "yeah?". At my wits end, we simply asked for the check and departed. My wife was upset because four years ago, this is where we had our first date. Having not been there since, I really appreciate Okie's for making our recreation the top notch experience that it was! P.S. Anyone wanting to give this place a shot, another fun note is that their sixteen ounce ribeye is $28.99. By far the most expensive steak in town and basically the norm for their bloated pricing for a kitschy steak house.

I was a bit nervous because there was only 6 reviews but super glad that I stopped in. I ate dinner at the bar and talked to the owner who is a class guy. Had a half rack of ribs and they were great with a cpl of cold beers. Definitely great BBQ and service - perfect for business travelers like myself, highly recommend it.

My husband is working out of muskogee so we have been looking for a good place to eat besides the corporate restaurants. Several locals told us it was good. We had steak and it was cooked to perfection. Our service was fantastic and friendly. The decor was amazing?!! Fun!

We stopped here because of the big cow on the roof - we thought it looked interesting. We had a great experience: great service, good food, and a good atmosphere. If we ever find our way back in Muskogee, we'll surely stop in again! Thanks, Michelle!

We've eaten here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. The food was very good but perhaps not fabulous. The service wasn't especially fast, but it was helpful and friendly and not especially slow either. The free peanuts at each table probably make this a no-go for those with nut allergies, but for the rest of us it's fun to crack open a few before the meal arrives. The drink selection was quite respectable, and the bar itself is an amazing antique brought from Chicago. The decor is on the kitschy side, but it's called Okie's, not La Cuisine Prétentieuse. One thing especially that I liked about the place is that it's a local restaurant and not a national chain. When I travel, I try to get a local flavor both literally and figuratively by trying the local restaurants, and Okie's was (a) about the only non-chain we found in town, and (b) made a very respectable showing.

I noticed this place as I came into town, and figured I'd try it for dinner. As a matter of fact, it was a cold March night, and the pellet stove kept the place nice and warm, so Mitchell K's reckless prediction was definitely off... I sat at the bar and decided on the beef tips with sautéed onions and bell peppers. I chose a side salad and green beans as sides. It was a bargain at $10. The salad was a salad, nothing special, but the bartender claimed all the dressings were made in house. The creamy Italian was really tasty. The green beans were delicious, and plentiful. Well seasoned. The beef tips...AWESOME. Seasoned and cooked to perfection. Melt-in-your-mouth tender. The portions we're definitely generous. I would have consider this meal to be a great deal at $15. The decor is definitely in cheesy cowboy taste, but I found it to be endearing....other than the giant green hulk. Don't really know what that was all about. If you find yourself in Muskogee, I don't think you can go wrong here. I definitely had a great experience.

Fun decor. But the absolute worst steak I ever had anywhere! The service was slow to non existent. The fried potatoes were good. Way over priced for what we got

Went on a Monday night. Ordered a Shock Top and got a Bud Light. Ordered sliced brisket and got chopped. The pulled pork was fresh out of the refrigerator. Would really hate to experience the place on a Friday night.

We were recommended this restaurant by the hotel desk clerk and it was not worth it. I went with a large group of people, many of whom ordered the BBQ and were disappointed when it came out tough, rubbery and looking days old. The vegetables in my salad were depressing and though the meat was edible the dish just didn't come together. The vinaigrette was basically pure oil, I kept pouring more on hoping to get some vinegar flavor but all I ended up with were sad greasy piles of white iceberg lettuce that were not worth $9 (this was the only meal salad on the menu). I have no idea how their steaks are but I wouldn't come here if you are looking for decent food.

Just to update, I have tried to contact Okie's several times in the last two weeks during business hours and the phone has yet to be answered.

My husband and I live just down the road and we always drive by it, so when my parents came into town for a visit we decided to stop in for a early dinner. The decor was extremely cheesy/western with a giant green hulk (how that ties in with the country/western theme is beyond me.) Anyhow, my husband and I both ordered the same burger, which was actually pretty good, my mother ordered chicken strips due to not being able to eat hardly anything on their menu and my dad ordered a steak. The burgers were good and the fries were amazing, until the next day. It was horrendous. Definitely wouldn't suggest lighting a match near either of us. Haha. My mothers food however, was terrible. I even tried a bite of her chicken and it was terrible. It seemed like it was old, hard to chew and seemed like they hadn't changed the oil in the fryer in quite a while. They also messed up both my parents orders, as both of them ordered mashed potatoes and only one side of the two came out with our dinner. The server was friendly, but he seemed to not really know what was in the meals or how they were prepared. The server was very unknowledgeable and the food wasn't worth near what we paid for.

The steak was to perfection and of fine quality. I sat at the bar so I have no comment on wait staff. At same time Rey and Carol are genuine and care about everyone's experience. It is Muskogee, ENJOY!

I went here on a warm June day. The restaurant was also warm. The food wasn't anything special and the waitress forgot to leave the gravy off my mashed potatoes. I'd skip this place, unless you really like cheesy cowboy decor and are looking for a place to stay warm. Although, I'm guessing it's cold in the winter.

It is a challenge to get your steak cooked the way you order it. The service is very slow and it's hit or miss on good wait staff. It took us over an hour to get our food (the first time it came to our table, still raw) from the time our order was taken. It is more pricey than a lot of much better steakhouses.

Where else can you get a glass boot of wine while dinning inside a buggy in a restaurant filled with random manikin cowboys? The line to get in went by quickly, the service was pretty good, the wine terrible (but it came in a boot!), and the steaks I'll give a thumbs up. Sit in the buggy...there's no dignified dinning here so why not go for the full experience. Snap a few photos with the manikins (we did) and get your self a boot of wine...they have red and white...that was what we were told. I suggest the steaks and would avoid anything non-steak I presume. If you are feeling adventurous or need to get out of an appointment go for the seafood.

They should have made it an "Ice Cream Parlor". You are paying for the decor not the food. Skip this place and go to McDonald's next door. Okie's ice cream is very good.
