I had the occasion of visiting Guymon for a conference. While Guymon had lots of hotel options, nothing really appealed to me especially after a 6 hour drive to get there. I found the Willows Inn Bed and Breakfast to be the perfect place to relax. Conveniently located about a third of a mile from town, I could get to both sides of town easily within a minutes from the house. The house is a ranch style and not the "Victorian" historic home. Instead it is tastefully decorated with comfortable furnishings for all types of guests. A business man or woman can feel at home just as easily as a leisurely traveler. Free WiFi is a great addition, especially since there is no AT&T data network in Guymon for your smartphone. They also have cable if you want and a nice refreshment bar with beverages and sweets for a late night or mid-day snack. The breakfast was excellent. A real, freshly prepared vegetable and cheese omelet complimented with a nicely seasoned pork chop, a roll and a choice of juice and good coffee. We also had a coconut french toast with strawberries. It was definitely not the Express breakfast or buffet at the local brand hotels. I had the Floyd Room, a queen sized Sleigh Bed with a private bath. The price was comparable to the hotels, which for a business traveler, made the choice easy. I would stay at the Willows Inn regardless of the price. If you are looking for a good healthy meal, try the Urban Bru Cafe at 418 NW 21st near the Wal-Mart. They are only open til 8:30pm, though.
