I am giving these folks another star cause their chicken is bad@$$...really. We got a whole chicken with okra and potato salad I will say the okra could have used a bit less grease but it was still pretty good. The chicken was crispy and juicy all at the same time which was pretty awesome. I have had Eischens chicken and will say this was more flavorful than each time I went there. One things for sure this place has a much better selection of beer paired up with a drive through window. We will go again but it will be for the chicken if we do.

Attention to detail. The difference between 3 and 4 stars. In search of great BBQ, our latest trip took us to Railhead. The atmosphere is literally like eating in someone's garage for a graduation or retirement party. Or maybe a barn dance. That's not necessarily a bad thing. It was unique and it was authentically unique, which I appreciated. Now to the Q. We tried 3 meats: Hot Links, sliced brisket, and ribs. The hot links were said to be homemade and "amazing". They were homemade and tasty, although a bit short of amazing. The ribs were the highlight of the meal and were meaty, smoky and done nicely. I leave the brisket til last and return to the "details". While the brisket was tasty, it was inconsistent. I kept thinking about why this would be the case. It was upon my verbalizing it, that the answer dawned on me. I had ordered sliced brisket. The slices were very good but the inconsistency came from the fact that I think I received the "bottom of the pan" slices from who knows how many briskets? It wasn't bad, mind you, but it effected my feeling about the brisket for sure. Most of the sides, same thing. No attention to detail. I get it as I'm not a detailed person AT ALL, but it was apparent at the Railhead as well. The servers were great although service was slow. They were extremely busy, so I understand. Fair prices. I also tried 3 of 4 sauces and they were all good. But again, not great. One thing I would recommend as well are the potato wedges. In all it was ok and I will likely be back if for no other reason but to try the fried chicken.

Not far, about 5 miles from Lazy E Arena where our barrelrace event happening. Nice seating area inside. Order here by pound if you like. I do. Having Blueberry Cobbler and icecream first. Is good and seems made inhouse. Good service though we are only people here.I had chopped beef and hot link. Both good and I sure like the sweet bbq sauce here. Just a bit of hot to it. Just right. I will surely return.

I have had the whole chicken, baked beans, coleslaw and potato wedges. The coleslaw and beans are good, but nothing to right home about. The fried chicken and potato wedges, however, are insanely good. Seriously, get them, eat them, repeat. The restaurant is tiny. Almost every table and chair is different, which I find charming. It feels like you are at your crazy grandma's house. The staff is warm and helpful. Food is HOT, so be careful. Fried chicken is made to order, as it should be. Take a trip off the beaten path and try this place out. It's a gem.

Recently moved from Austin, TX awesome BBQ in ATX. I thought I would get some good BBQ here ummmmm not so much. For starters the BBQ was super greasy!!!!!! The side of bread given to you with BBQ has extremely way to much butter although the BBQ sauces, potato salad, coleslaw is okay in taste the BBQ was to greasy don't think I'll go back again

Acting on a tip from a family friend, I drove from Edmond to Guthrie just for the fried chicken. It was some of the best I've had from a restaurant, but nothing beats breaking out the cast iron skillet and preparing some at home. Alas, the chicken is very good and stays crispy without drying out. Sides were also tasty. Overall, a really good local fried chicken and BBQ joint.
