BEWARE: the honey mustard is mostly mayonnaise and you should only come on Sunday afternoons if your idea of a good time is wading in a living pool of post-churchified human bodies grumbling for more gallons of sweet tea. Reasons you should go here: 1. Free Wi-Fi 2. Free Refills and giant drinks 3. Delicious cookies. My favorite is to come here in the afternoon and hang out with a friend and/or cookie (same thing?) and take advantage of the semi-pretty patio. Sandwiches are a little overpriced.

This is a great place for lunch. It can get really crowded since it is closed to UCO and the high schools, but there are normally three to four registers open. Some of my favorites included the orange cranberry club and the McAlister's club. The orange cranberry sauce is absolutely delicious and reminds me of Thanksgiving. The deli is also has a wide variety of spuds, salads and other sandwiches. The best side is the potato salad, which is mustard based, but I often get the fruit in my attempt to be healthy. One thing you have to get is the tea, sweet or regular. Also you can buy the tea in jugs and bring it home!

I don't come here that often (bc I live on the other side of Edmond), but when I do, it never disappoints. The sandwiches are always super tasty and the price is just right. I really like that they are generous with the veggies, it gives it good texture. The portion of meat is really big too. All in all I definitely recommend this place if you've never tried it. The turkey is always delicious and the sweet tea!

Update June 17, 2012 Ate here again for lunch. One major issue I have with this particular location is that the staff is VERY slow to clean up around the restaurant. We sat outside because the a/c inside was turning the interior into the arctic zone. Outside there were napkins blowing around and other trash in the bushes that hadn't been picked up. Same with the tables inside. They bring the food to you and instead of taking a few moments picking stuff up, they just walk on by and ignore it. SO BIG THUMBS DOWN ON THAT. Maybe they just feel they only need to clean at closing time. And don't eat outside now when it is warm. The flies are terrible. You will spend more time waving your hand than actually eating. ----------------------- Popular place for a quick bite to eat. Have only been there twice. Usually very busy at lunchtime. Has outdoor seating as well. Last time I had the french dip sandwich and it was very good. Good quality of beef. Served with a bowl of dipping au jus. I would order it again. So for a cheap date, or a quick bite to eat before or after a movie etc, it's a good place to go. Plenty of choices on the menu.

Overall consistently good food. In dozens of trips have only been disappointed once, when the food came out a bit cool. Usually, I have sweet tea, which they make very well, probably the best in the Oklahoma area. Not as good as they make it in the Carolina's but then nothing is. Good food, good price, good tea.

Great lunch spot! Enjoy all of the sandwiches and the savannah salad is "to die for" it gets busy at lunch so go early or late if you don't like crowds. Wonderful outdoor seating as well. PS- Get Sweet Tea!!!!!!!

We were taken here by relatives for an evening meal. Nice place and friendly staff. You order at the counter and your meal is then brought to your table. I had a chicken wrap and my wife had a salad. Both tasted fine and was fresh. I thought my wrap could use a little more flavor. I would give this place 3.5 stars. May give them another try next time I'm in the Edmond area.

Since it is located so close to UCO's campus, I'm here a lot. I love McAlister's, but I'm definitely not the only one in Edmond who does. That being said, this location is busy! If you are coming with a big group, I would have a backup in mind or be willing to sit outside just in case it's busy! However, the staff is wonderful and they always keep it clean. We all definitely frequent this place for a reason!

Where is the meat on those sandwiches? Wasn't enough "Umphf" and guts on the sandwiches to make it worth your while. All bread and no goodies. Staff was friendly, orders were correct and speedy but wimpy food quantity.

There were hardly any people in the restaurant and I still waited 20 minutes to get my order. When I finally got it they had gotten my order wrong. I ordered half a salad and half a sandwich. They gave me two haves of two different sandwiches. I don't know why she thought that I would want that. The people who work at this particular location are also very rude. I will not be returning.

Well, this is a good substitute for Panera. Also, I love that the staff comes and brings your food to you. The wait was rather long being near holidays. Similar choice with pick 2 (sandwich/salad/baked potato/soup) at Panera. I had the roast beef sandwich and soup which was good. My girlfriend had the ice tea and it was okay. There were nice booths and plenty of seats. Great way to catch up with friends here.

In today's panoply of premium, sit-down, quick serve deli, McAlister's is a disappointing also-ran. Portions are mediocre and menu is anachronistic. A decent grocery store has more appealing fare in its deli case. It's hard to fathom that there's a building and parking lot built to deliver this food.

Nice. The food is a little pricey when compared to the Quality. It's super busy at lunch time because it's so close to the university. The restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly. Parking is decent, even when it's really busy. Plus they cater.

They have all the good deli menu type stuff - yum. I like their lemonade and tea. I like their wifi. I like their quick service. I've had better sandwiches and soups and salads but I've never had anything objectionable here. They have outdoor patio seating which is pleasant. Dining area is good for groups and is always busy.

I was the only one in there other than 4 people that already had their food. It took 15 minutes to make a sandwich. Plenty of people staffed. Zero sense of urgency. Saw a female employee make herself something and eat it in the food prep area. Eww. Guy that made my sandwich was touching his face. What's the point of the gloves you are wearing? So gross. Sandwiches aren't anything special.

First time going here. I have passed by them many times but never stopped in. Man am I sad I have not gone here sooner. They are very family oriented they have a kids meal that's .99 cents and it comes with a side. There menu is priced and the cheap side and freshness is not lost with the price. Everything here was great I especially loved the pasta salad

I've been eating here for almost a decade. The food is great. Sadly, the service has been on the decline for a while now. It used to be 5 star, but it's still slightly above average. Tonight's visit for example, I asked for some extra gravy, was told "sure" but the guy never came back. Then while I was up getting a refill, my half eaten dinner was cleared away. They were good about correcting the situation, but these small things never used to happen. Now they're commonplace. Still, food is awesome and service is acceptable.

This location gets packed during Sunday brunch. I always get a sweet tea and the roast beef sandwich with au Jue. It is pretty good and consistent at all the Mcallister chains. Good place for lunch and also they cater which is always good for work lunches.

Unexpected road trips, how hard can they be? Driving back and forth between Stillwater and Austin I just might have a few top tips. Driving into OK Norman is your best chance for your familiar spots. If your looking to dine a few miles after that your almost out of luck. A mile or so just off 35 is Edmond. Picking probably the safe choice over Denny's and CiCi's pizza, McAlister's was an unexpected oasis of mass produced yet a well prepared sandwiches. The cream based tortilla soup delivered minimal notes of south of border. The Reuben for road trip grub was quite good. Jenny's football sized baked potato with veggie chili averaged a three star rating. Little Rooster's pita pizza had flavor issues. The rest was a bag of chips, Lays that is. Venturing into a new neighborhood off the interstate we found Edmond kinda familiar and inviting. An above average place for lunch, considering there is a Subway at every exit.

I had the Rasberry Pecan Salad and it was fantastic! Resturant was clean and the staff was great. We will return.

Unlimited tea. Free wi-fi. These aspects of McAlister's are deserving of a majority of the stars. Food quality is lacking... something. Or maybe it just seems like it. I don't remember spending ~$8.00 for a McAlister's sandwich in the past, but I haven't really been paying attention to how inflation has played out in Edmond for the last decade. Either way, not a bad place to park yourself for an extended period of time if you are: a. hungry for some decent (albeit pricey) sammiches b. have a lot of homework to do c. need wi-fi for your electronic devices d. all of the above There's one dude who works there, who gives off a 'manager' vibe. Really nice guy. Very friendly without being all up in yo bidness.

This location sucks. Mostly because it's by UCO and college students work here. Well, it seems like they hired all freshmen because they were all very immature. All they did was stood around and talked to each other....loudly. The guy who took my order was half talking to me and half talking to his co-worker about a Toby Keith song. I'm not even kidding. I extended out my arm with my credit card waiting for him to take it but his head was turned away just yakking it up with another guy. SHUT UP AND DO YOUR JOB! Those kids had no work ethics. Don't even get me started on the sloppy a$$ job they did on the baked potato.

To say I am a fan of this place would be slight understatement. It is a home away from home. The food is consistently good and the service is better than your average deli. The workers know our name and our beverage of choice. Sometimes you will experience poor service due to employee turnover around school schedules, but they consistently improve the longer they are there. Prices seem a little steep on some items, but overall they are fair. The wifi has to be the only thing I can consistently complain about. It is horrible!!! It is a pain to connect even when you have a receipt it doesn't work 75% of the time. I don't bother using their wifi because of this. The free wifi gets 1 star, but the rest of what they offer makes up for it. I am there typically 3-4 times per week.

I've always had decent meals at McAlisters in OKC or Tulsa.. Today I stopped in Edmond and ordered the Horseradish Roast Beef sandwich. Mrs Eva ordered the soup and sandwich. Hers was good, mine... the sandwich was tiny and the meat was only partially warmed. It was still almost frozen in the middle. I could have had a much better horsey sauce roast beef at Arby's for $1. I was very disappointed. I couldn't get anyones attention and the manager was outside on her cell phone so I didn't get the problem fixed.

I have been going to this McAlisters for the past 7 years. Went in today for some soup as it was kind of chilli outside. It was very busy during the lunch hours. One Thing I did notice is that people lined up in one long line instead of three separate lines in front of each register. This made the line extend almost out the front door. This might be more of a sociological issue rather than McAllister's problem, but a little direction would probably help. The soup was good, warm, and came out quickly. The sweet tea was excellent. I was offered refills multiple times - which I appreciated. Overall the service was pretty good. I will continue to go to McAllister's as they have a great selection to choose from.

This place is near a college campus and moderate to very popular, but I don't really see why. Yes, their sweet tea is pretty good and the serving size is okay but there really isn't anything special about the food or the service. The sandwiches are average, the soups are average, the pizza is average. The parking lot is majorly too small. It's way hard to get a spot during lunch. They've got all these people around the register and kitchen and I really don't think it's necessary. I honestly would rather wait for my food up by the register instead of popping a number on my table and waiting for someone to come plop a dish with my sandwich on it and walk off. My work friends like McAlister's but I'd rather just go to Subway.

The food is a little overpriced but it was decent. I got the roast beef sandwich and my friend had a salad and the portions were generous. The employees left much to be desired. They appeared to be college kids who spent most of their time standing around talking rather than performing their job. They acted very annoyed when I requested a refill on my tea and the girl at the counter rolled her eyes at her friend before taking my glass. The tea was fantastic but I don't think that I will be visiting again anytime soon.

I take my daughter here every Saturday for our father daughter "date". She rates restaurants based on whether or not they have "high" pub style seating. I love the tea. I usually drink way to much. The soup and salad are very good for a light lunch. The spuds are very popular and very large. For kids there is pizza, pb&j, sandwhiches, etc. The service here is very good. They have free wifi, but you need a receipt to log in. It can be rather busy at lunch. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Good McAlister's Deli. Service is consistently decent. Food quality is good. Avoid Sunday evenings as usually understaffed.
