The lighting was horrible. The food was just okay, nothing special or memorable about any of the food. My fiancée ordered the fried ice cream but it was definitely not fried and she stated that it was the worst fried ice cream she had ever eaten. The service was definitely lacking. Waitress came and checked on us once. When the left the ticket at the table we waited for several minutes until I finally gave up and left the money for the bill. The tip amount dropped considerably to a 15% due to the poor service. In hind sight, 15% was probably a little on the high side for the service received.

Very poor service. Had to ask 3 times for a drink. Took 20 minutes to get a beer. Food was awful. Taco was soggy. Will never go back. Took an hour to receive our food.

Thought I would pick up food to take home after a long day. They just made my day longer :( they don't post menu online and when I went asked if they have paper menu and they did not. So I had to read their menu in their dimly lit entrance. Hostess stood and waited for me to decide, then took my money and put the order in. I ordered the Juarez and the Saltillo was looking for more variety but not many choices in the dinners. Meanwhile people were piling in getting seated and served beverage and chips and ordering. Something quick and tasty to pick up became long and lackluster. I was ready to ask for refund after waiting 20 minutes when hostess sees me standing and watching her and goes to see about my order. I see her and another putting together my order quickly and she brings it out saying I don't know what they were doing back there, excuses... Had another 30 minute drive home, opened up the to go cartons and saw one enchilada in one, a taco in another. Not much food to get excited about. Chips were fresh, salsa was good, other portions too small. Refried beans were too salty, rice not really seasoned. I won't be going back for take out. Not the Rudolphos I remember going to with the family...

It was ok. Not very fast at cleaning tables and seating people. Had Chile rellenos this time and a taco. Had to have some meat to through on the rellenos. Salsa and homemade tortillas were good. Last time was not so good but it send like this place can be hit or miss. Funny how there were no Hispanics working in there, kinda odd. Overall not the best but a good change for the area.

I expected much more from this place because of all the hype. The food was just ok, but was a lot of it. The service was slow and there was a long wait to be seated. The noise is loud and overall the place is just unimpressive. Nothing more than a typical mexican restaurant. Blah blah.

Ya know, not the best, but darn sure not the worst.... Pretty good salsa, good SPICY salsa, and one of the few good options here in Cushing, OK... I have had several menu items, but what stood out to me was the fajitas... Maybe it was the sizzling pan of them coming to the table... One thing was for sure, you get more than your $$$ worth in Fajitas..... Several of the people that were with me had good items, the Chimichanga looks really good... Over all a 3/5..... Stay consistent Rodolpho!

Have you ever had nachos that weren't hot and stringy? If you have, then you know what my experience was like tonight. The last time I ate at Rodolfo's was a couple of years ago, and it was outstanding. Tonight's dinner was definitely not the same Rodolfo's that I was expecting. First of all, the salsa was too spicy for all of the kids at the table. Everybody should be able to enjoy chips and salsa before dinner at a Mexican restaurant.. Next, they only had one coloring book in the entire place to keep the little ones entertained. As far as my dinner goes, I had the Grande Nachos, with ground beef, refried beans, jalapenos and cheese. When I got them the cheese was so cooled off it, I couldnt separate the chips, plus the jalapenos were missing. What really surprised me was that the meat didnt seem seasoned at all. I just expected more from a simple nacho plate. However, there were a few highlights that kept me from giving this restaurant one star. Our hostesses were very nice, and our waitress was very attentive and genuinely concerned with our meal. My toddler's taco was filled almost to the top with ground beef, and my sister's fajitas came out sizzling hot. So, maybe I just ordered the wrong item. When I look at the 2 star description it says: "Meh. I've experienced better." and that pretty much sums it up. I have had better at every other Mexican restaurant that I have ever eaten at.

Rodolfo's is the best Mexican food in Cushing. The new bar is well-stocked and stays busy. My favorite dishes here are the chicken chimichangas and the buffalo wings from the bar.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque.
