Amazing customer service. Phoned in an order, but when I arrived, my order had been mixed up with another one and picked up by someone else. They offered to correct it while I waited, but because I didn't have time to spare, they refunded my payment, wrote out a voucher for my next visit, AND STILL gave me the incorrect order on the house to take with me. Although I despise fungus in all of its forms, I must begrudgingly admit that the sausage and mushroom calzone that they provided me was delicious, albeit slimy and fungus-y. I will definitely be back!

A fairly average pizza place, nothing really stands out. It's not bad but it's nothing I would rave about. They don't really have a menu, just a list of toppings they have. Half the time, if you order garlic knots, they won't come out until after you're done eating your pizza. They don't have real plates or even high quality paper plates. Just really thin, flimsy plates that the grease destroys. Their pizza boxes are generic pizza boxes that don't have their name on it. It's been around for years but still seems like it's just starting out. They also sell cell phone cases... Yea... Sure, it's not a Taylor Swift album like Papa John's but they have cell phone cases if you need them.

Great customer service. Delicious food.... Their garlic knots are the best. Nice casual atmosphere. Owners and managers are straightforward and eager to please their customers. When you eat here you feel like part of their family.

I really like this place. They have one of the best calzones I have eaten. The owners are almost always there and truly concerned about the quality of their food. They say that they won't serve what they wouldn't eat and they mean it. They once threw away an order of garlic knots and made another batch because they didn't like the looks of the ones they pulled out of the oven for me. They apologized for the delay and didn't charge me for them. This is definitely one of my top 3 pizza places of all time.

Always quality pizza. I wish there was one closer to Edmond. I like their lunch special too. It's cheap and plenty of food considering their pizza slices are huge. Definitely get the fresh baked garlic knots if you dine-in.

I am very dissatisfied with my whole experience at Papa Angelos. They are cheap, cheap people. It cost for refills! Also, it took forever to get our pizza delivered in three separate trips for just four people, delivering other orders to tables around us in between. We went to get forks because the pizza is incredibly messy, and so big, that the PAPER PLATES they were on, let the pizza touch the table. The self serve area was out of forks so when another part of our order arrived we asked for some; she directed us to back to the self serve area so we told her it was out. After a while she went to refill the self serve area but didn't bring us any so we made another trip back to get them. By then the first that were served had cold pizza. When we finally got forks, one of four had tiny bits of food on them and were soaking wet and warm like they had just been brought out of the dishwasher. Are you seeing the pattern yet?? Although we've been a number of times, today's experience was a failure in so many ways that we won't be back.

something wasn't the same at the new location. Maybe they were just having an off night. Don't get me wrong the pizza was better than good, just not great. Ordered the small half pepperoni half meat ball. Yum this is some good eats. Now for the reasons that my previous locations 4 star became a three star. Attitude. The pizza is new York and so is the attitude. Always been that way. Just seemed worse this time. Last but not least 1.00 for tap water. Who charges for tap water. Water in a glass that they reuse. I might could understand if this was a one time use cup, or a take with cup. Norpe just a washable cup with water. You have got to be kidding me. This is not only redicoulous. It's crazy, greedy, and a good way to get people not to come back in. Just sad. I will more than likely be back because of this pizza. Prob won't be drinking any water.

Let me start of by saying we used to really enjoy Papa Angelos pizza! The last few visits have not been that great. On one occasion it looked like less than a handful of Italian sausage thrown in the middle of the pizza which was an empire pizza (20 inch) would have been nice if the toppings made it closer to the edge opposed to getting one bite of toppings. I did call and ask if this was normal to get so few toppings and Diana (we used to go there so frequent we knew most of the family by first name Joe, David, ect.) acted as if I would be required to pay extra for more Italian sausage to get a piece of sausage in every bite. I may be unreasonable but when I pay $18 dollars + tax for a one topping pizza I would expect to get ample toppings without paying extra. I don't mind paying a premium price for pizza but expect a premium product in return. We used to visit Papa Angelos 3-4 times a month but had not been there in about 8-10 months after the problems I explained. We figured one more try last night and it was much of the same no toppings and somewhat of a rubbery texture to the crust like another reviewer stated where you almost had to tear your bite off, I don't know what that was about I don't remember the crust being rubbery before it may had been an off night in that department. I will probably not be returning to pay $19-20 dollars including tax for a empire cheese pizza with a very minimal amount of Italian sausage. I wish papa angelos well and will miss what their pizza used to taste like in the "good ole days" when they were around the corner. For anyone who cares we have been to both Empire Slice House (dine-In) and Hideaway Pizza and both have very good pizza, you are more likely to get your money's worth at either of these two selections. Empire Slice is a little pricey (not much more than Papa Angelos) but you get a very tasty pizza for their price! Sorry for the long review.

We went to them on 7/18/2015 called them back said pizza wasn't hot and it wasn't anything like we had it before.

I would give this less than one if I could. I called for delivery they don't deliver on Sundays which I didn't see on the website but whatever it was just up the road. I asked for it to be well done, it wasn't. That's problem 2. If NY style pizza is synonymous with tough and no sauce then they can keep it. I couldn't even bite through this I had to bite and tear. Then when I did that all the cheese and toppings came off with it. They used crappy canned mushrooms that should never be on a pizza. They charged me $2+ for garlic knots that were just balls of bread with some garlic powder on them. No butter to make them stick just dry. I'd half way understand if it was busy as heck. There was no one there (clue?). I gave the homeless guy some he thanked me, but maybe would have changed his tune if I had stuck around to hear what he thought. I'd rather have frozen pizza.

I have been told by co-workers to try Papa Angelo's for years. I just never have the time to go. I made the trip today, and they were right! Great New York style pizza right here in Oklahoma City. Clean restaurant, with great amenities for kids. I would for sure go back to this place. The pizza was piping hot, and I got 2 pieces of pizza and a drink for less than $7! Great portion size, and IT can be even cheaper if you do the cheese. The ingredients used are top notch and you can taste the difference.

Great pizza and garlic knots. lunch specials are reasonably priced, 2 sliced and a drink for under $6. We purchased the giant empire pizza for dinner . This thing is 22' and was delicious with pepperoni and meatballs. So much better than chain pizza.

  • B. J. P.

This is one of the only places in the city where you can get New York style pizza that holds up to the real thing. They have inexpensive lunch specials and a very casual atmosphere.

Usually they have really good pizza. Went for lunch and ordered pepperoni jalapeño pizza and got pepperoni pizza with cold jalapeños on it. They didn't even bother to cook me fresh pizza with the jalapeños cooked into the pizza. Very disappointed.
