It's a bit pricey. The food is good, standard, the staff is funny and friendly. But, once we discovered Ocean China, this place went down a big notch... small, clean, lunchtime buffet along with GREAT taste... I'm sorry, Szechuan, I choose Ocean China. Along with rumors about the chinese place in the mall (past tense) run by the cute fun lady here's brother... they had to close the two storefronts next door due to major rat and roach infestation... gross. Not eating here again!

This is my go to place for good Chinese food. I really get tired of the Chinese buffets so Szechuan is the perfect place to get friendly service from the owner and good food. The dinner portions are a good size to fill you up. The physical restaurant is not all that pretty so that is why I usually take advantage of the 10% carry out discount. If you are in the mood for good chinese food don't pass this place up.

Love this place-- this is a really good, family run, restaurant. It's not high end, and not authentic because they think about American tastes. If you have specific requests that they can accommodate, given the limitations of the resources in B'ville, they will do what they can... The owners are so lovely, have really been in the community for years, and would be just so delighted to make authentic noodles, dim sum, and so on, if they could find the ingredients. Maybe the B'ville world travelers should help them!

Family owned, this place has been around for more than a decade. The sesame chicken is my favorite. For the most part, it's a pretty standard menu, but the place is clean and the owners are very nice.

Very good. Ordered the The Sezchuan Beef, hot and sour soup, and spring roll. The soup is delicious and house-made with ample chicken nibblets. The beef was served hot and tender, and the accompanied green onions were cooked perfectly leaving a little bit of snap when bitten. Spring roll was fine as well. The staff and service are warm and friendly.

Best Chinese food in town! It may not look like much but the food is good and the people are great! They treat you like family.

I thought the food was ok. Nothing special, but also nothing offensive. There was decent service. I'd go back if the people I was with wanted to go here, but it wouldn't be my first pick for Chinese In Bartlesville.

I liked the spring egg rolls, best in Bartlesville by far. Happy family, shrimp fried rice and egg drop soup are good as well. Very friendly staff and owner.

The food here is very good, and the staff is very friendly. They joked and chatted with us: I think the staff may be some of the friendliest in the neighborhood. The food came out quickly and tasted very good. The decor was okay: it's not offensive or ugly, but it feels a little cramped to me. It's a minor issue, and not worth worrying about when considering the restaurant.

This is the best Chinese food in Bartlesville bar none. The staff is amazingly friendly and goes above and beyond when helping you alter your order. The food always comes out quickly and is consistently good. The portion sizes are huge, and I always have some to take home.

I LOVE THIS PLACE. The service and the owners make the restaurant even better--Honestly, they will know you by name after a few visits! I make it a point to take all my out-of-town friends here for lunch or dinner, since it's easily affordable for college kids and the food is REALLY good. They recently expanded their menu, which includes all the standard Chinese dishes. The portions are enough for me to split with another girlfriend, and the entrees come with soup. The ambiance is nothing to brag about, but it is clean and warm and full of happy conversations and people you know every time you visit. Szechuan's really does make for the perfect place to meet up with friends and have a yummy meal within any budget.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
